I admired some particularly lovely fake Douglas Firs today but I'm not sure I really want to spent $300-$00 on a fake tree which is used for 30 days a year.  The 7 and a half foot tree has 1506 tips - I did wonder if this means it would accommodate the same number of decorations. I've been amassing decorations for over 30 years buying the expensive decorations in the 50% off sales after christmas. Now I collect decorations when I travel as well. I know I have lots but even I'd be surprised if I had 1500 already.

Today I may have spent a silly amount on new additions for the tree.  I have simple rules about my decorations. Colour - they must be red, gold, silver or green. I love the colour purple but it has no place on my tree. Decorations must be christmas themed - a stocking shape is fine a stiletto is not.  And you can keep your santas in rugby gear or carrying surfboards to yourself. It may be summer here but I'll take as many snowflakes as my tree can hold. Anything obviously plastic is banned and I'd prefer not to have any plain round glass balls - they're so ordinary. Some of my friends have xmas tree decorating parties but I'm afraid there won't be any of that silliness in my house. I know they're well intentioned but they'd put the decorations in the wrong place.

I suppose it's time to start thinking about Christmas again. Every year I get further and further from the magic of youth, I'm able to more clearly assess the meaning of the season, which, for me, sort of just means getting in touch with my pagan roots. I think I'd feel slightly more attached with these camo Christmas ornaments, designed by Alexander Malinovsky for Art Lebedev. I would have enjoyed seeing a desert print, which would get far less lost in your tree, but I like to think the designer enjoyed the ironic gesture.

And I think they pay pretty well to so I'll be able to start making some homemade stuff and sell them. Though it will take a month just to get started unless i get some essential oils already made, which I don't want to do because of the fact that I want all my stuff to be homemade. But thats alright I'll start it all after xmas because I want to spoil my hubby this year with a few things. And I want to be able to get my niece and nephew a good amount of stuff to, I love spoiling little kids.

The early morning sunshine was replaced by grey clouds and gusty winds, so we went into the garden centre at the park and were faced with a full-blown Christmas experience slap bang in the middle of Rosh Hashanah and Ramadam (and Olivia had just made a card for Eid!).

We laughed at the upside-down Christmas tree, the rows of doll santas and the fake reindeer, elks and robins. Honestly, there were things available that we'd never imagined.  Quite apart from the £390 fake Moose, we saw fibre-optic trees and strange outdoor display things -- lights for gardens and faux snaux for roofs.

Yes, it was cheezy and tacky -- and a surprise so early in the year, but we had a great laugh!

I've decided to wait until Xmas to get a sex toy.  As a treat for myself.  And because we might move again.  A dildo could be difficult to hide.  I want a really nice thick dildo.  A gorgeous shade of tanned skin.

My novel hasn't been looked at in a while.  I want to get back to editing it today.  Since my momma's at work I have all day to just rest and work in the quietness.  My stepdad is home but he will probably just fall asleep out on the balcony.
