Thomas Edward "Tom" Sizemore, Jr. was born on 29 September, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan. Tom Sizemore is a Golden Globe-nominated American film and television actor. Tom Sizemore is known for his supporting performances in several Hollywood films.

Tom Sizemore was born to a mother who was a member of an urban ombudsman staff and a lawyer/psychology professor father, Thomas Edward Sizemore, Sr. Tom Sizemore has a younger brother, Paul, who is also an actor and a niece Beverly who is a songwriter and former Pussycat Doll. Tom Sizemore attended Michigan State University for 1 year, as well as Wayne State University, and earned a Master's Degree in theater from Temple University in 1986. Tom Sizemore subsequently moved to New York City to pursue an acting career.

One of Tom Sizemore's early film roles was in Oliver Stone's Born on the 4th of July in 1989. Tom Sizemore has appeared in films such as Lock Up (1989), Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991), True Romance (1993), Natural Born Killers (1994) and Strange Days (1995). A succession of well-received supporting parts followed, perhaps the most well known being his portrayal of Michael Cheritto in Heat (1995). Tom Sizemore's major leading role was as Vincent D'Agosta in 1997's The Relic.

Tom Sizemore had a recurring role on the television series China Beach (1988 to 1991)as an enlisted man named Charlie who was in love with Dana Delaney's character.

Tom Sizemore continued to play leading and character parts in many films, notably Bringing out the Dead, Saving Private Ryan, HBO's Witness Protection, Red Planet, Pearl Harbour, Devil in a Blue Dress, and Black Hawk Down. Tom Sizemore had a voice part as Sonny Forelli in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Tom Sizemore had a supporting role in Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp as Bat Masterson. In 2001, Tom Sizemore starred in Ticker, an action film directed by Albert Pyun, with Steven Seagal and Dennis Hopper . In 2002, Tom Sizemore starred in the well-reviewed but short-lived television drama series Robbery Homicide Division. It was cancelled mid-way through its 1st season. Tom Sizemore also played an undercover cop in the film Swindle opposite Sherilyn Fenn.

Tom Sizemore fronted the Hollywood rock band Day 8. Formed in 2002, the band recorded a 4-song EP produced and recorded by former Snot/Soulfly guitarist Mikey Doling. The group included Rod Castro, Tyrone Tomke and Michael Taylor.

In 2004, he starred in the movie Paparazzi and in the 2006 film, The Genius Club, playing a terrorist who taunts 7 geniuses into solving the world's problems in 1 night.

In 2007, the television network VH1 aired a 6 episode reality TV series called Shooting Sizemore, which depicted the life of the actor as he struggled to regain his career in the midst of a continuing battle with addiction. The series also covered an ongoing legal appeal on his conviction for an assault of former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss. In 2008, Tom Sizemore appeared in The Last Lullaby, playing a killer, and in the thriller film Red with Brian Cox.

Tom Sizemore, who had long battled drug addiction, was convicted in 2003 of assault and battery against his girlfriend, the former "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss. Tom Sizemore was then sentenced to 17 months in jail and 4 months in drug treatment for repeatedly failing drug tests while on probation on 25 March, 2005. On 3 June, 2005, Tom Sizemore filed a writ of habeas corpus to appeal his conviction of domestic violence against Heidi Fleiss, accusing Heidi Fleiss of faking a picture of her bruises submitted as evidence during the April 2003 trial. Heidi Fleiss testified the photo was taken by a friend named Tara Dabrizzi who left the next day to visit her ailing mother in another country. Tara Dabrizzi never took the stand and Tom Sizemore's attorneys say they were unable to locate anyone with that name. Heidi Fleiss allegedly contradicted herself in a civil trial by saying she didn't know who took the photo, according to the Superior Court petition.

On 18 August, 2005, approximately 8 hours of celebrity sex tape starring Tom Sizemore was published on the internet. The material has since become available on DVD.

On 8 May, 2007, while still on probation for a previous drug conviction, Tom Sizemore was again arrested outside the 4 Points Sheraton hotel in Bakersfield, California. Police found what appeared to be 2 bags of methamphetamine and 3 meth pipes in his 2004 Ford Mustang. Police were called after paroled dealer Jason Salcido challenged a hotel employee to a fight after being refused check-in. Police found a meth pipe on Salcido and found Tom Sizemore waiting in his car outside the hotel. On 25 June, Tom Sizemore was sentenced to 16 months, but the sentence was reduced to 9 months because he had already served 213 days behind bars.

[caption id="" align="alignnone" width="450" caption="Swingtown"][/caption]

Heroes (Season 3, premiere at 22/09/08)

Ahhh, Heroes....

Supernatural (Season 4, premiere at 19/09/08)

ENG ING ENG..... Malaikat Tuhan...!! Malaikat yang bernama Castiello. CASTIELLO? Gw ga pernah denger malaikat yg namanya Castiello... Biasanya itu Michael, Gabriel, dll... Bahkan, liat ini. Gak ada nama Castiello di situ. Jadi malaikat Castiello ini purely fictional angel character that are created solely for this series purposes... (link provided by [Royal] Lord. Thanks, man...)

Well, as the story goes, it gets better.

Still, this is a great series... Tetap menjadi serial wajib nonton menurut gw. So, just enjoy the story, jangan terlalu dipikirin soal kekuatan Tuhan+Malaikat VS Demon-demon ini... Terima aja, namanya juga cerita... Nantikan setiap Jumat malem waktu Amrik atau Sabtu pagi waktu lokal (Indonesia).

After a somewhat longer summer hiatus than planned, I'm back with some notes on a few recent early television discoveries. By now there aren't too many TV shows from the fifties or sixties with which I'm totally unfamiliar, but until last year's complete DVD release of the series, Man with a Camera (1958-60) fell into that category. This was one of the few half-hour action series of the late fifties of which (to my knowledge) no episodes had circulated among private libraries, and I suspect many TV enthusiasts were curious about it for two reasons. First, it starred Charles Bronson, long before Bronson became the movies' oldest action hero; and second, for us hard-core TV wonks, it was the show that the talented producer Buck Houghton was running immediately before he moved to MGM to oversee the first three seasons of The Twilight Zone. Houghton was a line producer, not a writer, so one doesn't expect to find any kind of thematic or stylistic connection, but this modest little low-budget effort was assembled with the same care that make the grander MGM-backlot fantasies of The Twilight Zone so visually compelling.

In Man with a Camera Bronson plays a freelance photographer named Mike Kovic. He runs his own business, in consultation with his father (Ludwig Stossel) from the old country. Kovic even suffers a few ethnic slurs along the lines of Banacek, and it's possible to view this ethnically-identified but still mainstream-assimilated character as a transition point between early melting-pot shows like The Goldbergs and the totally deracinated TV landscape of the sixties.

Bronson always struck me as the unlikeliest of stars, and Man with a Camera is something of a case study in how his frozen visage and monotone voice can produce a kind of anti-charismatic charisma. Whatever his deficiencies as an actor, Bronson had confidence, and he's surprisingly loose when the opportunity presents himself. In "The Bride," for instance, Kovic briefly poses as a naïve, heavily-accented immigrant negotiating a mail-order marriage, and the fun that Bronson has with this goofy scene is contagious.

Based on the little I had read, I wasn't sure exactly what form Man with a Camera would take. Newspaper drama? International adventure? It turns out to be a de facto detective drama, one of those shows in which people with no business fighting crime nevertheless do so. Johnny Staccato, a Greenwich Village nightclub owner/unlicensed private dick, was a contemporaneous figure, and they still crop up on TV now and then - Hack (2002-2004) starred David Morse as a Philadelphia cab driver who doubled as a vigilante for hire. These series make one wonder: why not just make a show about actual private eyes (or cops), instead of burdening the writers with the chore of explaining every week how a photographer or a restaurateur got himself into this mess?

In the case of Man with a Camera, the first dozen or so episodes tell plausible, if cliched, stories consistent with actual photojournalism, at least if you grant that Kovic is the rush-off-to-battle-zone macho-adventurer type of photojournalist. Kovic tries to snap a shot of an Appalachia-style gangsters' summit ("The Big Squeeze"), gets accused of doctoring a pic of a bigwig politician ("Turntable"), and exposes crimes while covering a boxing match ("Second Avenue Assassin") and the testing of a new military plane ("Another Barrier").

Over time, the number of actual photographers credited as technical advisors dwindled from three to one, and later scripts barely attempted to justify why Kovic was investigating Mexican drug smuggling ("Missing") or bodyguarding an arrogant movie star in Cannes ("Kangaroo Court"). "But there's a picture angle!" insists a client as he begs Kovic to investigate a blackmail ring preying on adopted children in "Girl in the Dark." Thanks for the reminder.

A little more often than most fifties crime dramas, Man with a Camera varied the standard mystery-plus-fisticuffs equation. The most unusual episode, the lynch mob story "Six Faces of Satan," is essentially The Twilight Zone's "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" minus the science fiction angle. The earnest script, by David P. Harmon, is as subtle as a brick against the back of the head, but director Boris Sagal stages it with a claustrophobic fervor that never allows the tension to subside. It's all tight angles, angry faces shoved into the lens, crowds converging and dispersing as the camera probes the tiny interior New York street set.

The milder pleasures of "Hot Ice Cream," an amusement park murder story, chiefly stem from the oddball pairing of guest stars Yvonne Craig (delightful as a precocious teenaged camera buff) and Lawrence Tierney, the latter's bald dome, if not his surly disposition, concealed by a jaunty ice cream vendor's cap. And speaking of guest stars, does anyone recognize this actor, who makes a very early, and uncredited, appearance in the episode "The Bride":

*

If Man with a Camera stands out as an above average example of the sort of undemanding escapism that was becoming the bread and butter of late-fifties network TV, then Tate (1960), the entire run of which has also been disgorged on DVD in a single chunk, is a more exciting kind of revelation: a serious, important, and unjustly forgotten western.

Tate was created and story-edited by Harry Julian Fink, a talented writer who probably received a deal for his own series on the strength of a number of thoughtful Have Gun Will Travel episodes. Fink's show is a western which confronts directly the one aspect of the generally very adult Have Gun that was gussied up a little for television: the hero's profession. Have Gun's Paladin sought and carried out assignments that made use of his skill with a firearm, but in practice the show was never as mercenary as its title. The tone of the stories varied from grim to frothy, and Paladin (and the series' writers) took pride in concocting intricate, non-violent forms of conflict resolution. Tate, on the other hand, is simply and bluntly a hired killer, something about which he has no illusions and makes no apologies. He doesn't live in an ornate San Francisco hotel suite or savor expensive cigars. Tate is dusty and beat-down and often wears a serape to conceal his handicap, a useless left arm that he keeps holstered in a mean-looking, elbow-length leather glove.

The first episode, "Home Town," is a near-perfect examination of masculine stoicism and obligation. In it Tate returns to the town of his birth to help his mentor, an aging marshal (Royal Dano), protect a prisoner from a lynch mob. It's a futile endeavor, of course, in the sense that the unrepentant murderer will likely hang anyway, and that's the point. Fink seems to challenge himself to convey Tate's backstory as unsentimentally as possible. Here's an exchange that includes the only explanation we ever get for Tate's dead arm:

MARSHAL: How long's it been?

TATE: Ten years.

MARSHAL: The war and then some. Where'd it happen?

TATE: Vicksburg. I didn't run fast enough, Morty.

MARSHAL: You're home, son. What do you think of it?

TATE: The same. A little smaller, a little dirtier. Just a memory, Morty, it doesn't exist any more.

Tate's wife is buried in the same town, and again Fink conveys this element of the character's psychological makeup obliquely. There's a lovely scene between Tate and a waitress (Sandra Knight) who turns out to be his wife's cousin. They discuss the girl's resemblance to Mary Tate, but Tate never tells her that Mary was his wife. All the emotion remains unspoken. The scene ends with an iris into the cousin's face: a technique from the silent cinema so powerful that, by 1960, it was often used ironically. But here it's perfect, a way of releasing the pent-up sadness of the moment through form instead of dialogue.

"Stopover," the second, and perhaps best, episode, is even more avant-garde. Fink, who wrote the script, underlines a local law officer's disgust when Tate rides into town with a corpse across his saddle. While the sheriff executes some bureaucratic maneuvers to delay the payment of the bounty, Tate cools his heels in a saloon where he runs smack into a twitchy punk who wants to test his gun against him. It's a familiar setup, but Fink fills it with unexpected ideas: an emphasis on money (the bounty is $2,080, and Tate insists on the $80); the extreme lengths to which Tate goes to avoid a gun duel that won't yield a profit; the lack of ambiguity concerning a saloon girl's actual profession (she charges five dollars to bring the guests an "extra blanket"). Smith, the young gunslinger, is not just an analogue to the modern juvenile delinquents of the fifties (a common notion in films like Nicholas Ray's The True Story of Jesse James and Arthur Penn's The Left-Handed Gun). He's quite clearly a psychopath in a clinical sense. Fink makes this point mainly through the young man's speech, which is fanciful to the point of incomprehensibility. At one point, he refers to man Tate has killed as "a magical person," an anachronistic, New Age-y phrase that startles one into thinking of Smith more in terms of Manson worship than of western villainy.

Indeed, "Stopover" is about language, or the failure of communication. Tate and the young gun talk past each other throughout their encounter: the gunman wants to know who he's challenging, but Tate won't tell him his name, while Tate keeps probing to find out the relationship between Smith and the dead man. He can't wrap his mind around the idea that there might not be any connection between them - that violence can occur without a rational motive.

Television westerns were, of course, plentiful in the extreme during the fifties and sixties, a fact that necessitated as much differentiation as possible. A wide range of generic traditions and storytelling approaches characterize the major TV westerns: The Virginian told sweeping, epic tales which emphasized the vastness of the effort to settle the frontier; Wagon Train was a dramatic anthology in disguise, eschewing western naturalism in favor of character-driven stories; The Rifleman was a bildungsroman that reduced the west to a canvas for illustrating life lessons; and so on.

I think the most productive model for the TV western, the one best suited to the limitations of the small screen, was the sort of spare, unsentimental ultra-minimalism that characterizes Budd Boetticher's and some of Anthony Mann's film westerns. The two key series in this mode were Sam Peckinpah's quirky The Westerner and Rod Serling's blatantly existential The Loner. Tate belongs within this tradition, although it's not quite at the same level as those two masterworks.

One problem is David McLean, who plays Tate ("Just Tate," incidentally, the missing first name a midpoint marker on the way to Eastwood's Man with No Name). McLean has the right world-weary look and gruff voice for the role - he was later famous as a cowboy-styled cigarette pitchman. But his performance lacks depth; as the series progresses it becomes evident that McLean is cycling through the same four or five line readings, and the guest stars nudge him off the screen. (It doesn't help McLean that Tate's uncredited but canny casting director paired him with an unusual number of future stars: Louise Fletcher, Martin Landau, Robert Culp, James Coburn, Warren Oates, and, in small but showy roles in two episodes, Robert Redford.)

But the primary failure of Tate was a lack of sustainability. Unlike Rod Serling on The Twilight Zone or Stirling Silliphant on Route 66, Harry Julian Fink fumbled the critical step of finding gifted, complementary voices to fill in the gaps between his own contributions. The six Tates written by Fink, all but one of them gems, and the seven episodes penned by lesser writers might as well be from two wholly different series. By the last episode, Gerry Day's "The Return of Jessica Jackson," there's a lamentable scene in which Tate pulls out a Bible and proselytizes to the distraught heroine. This Tate is a far more conventional TV hero than the Tate of the pilot, a terse pragmatist of uncertain morality, adrift on a sea of grief and regret.

Not that it mattered much: Tate ran as a replacement series in the summer of 1960, meaning that NBC had likely abandoned any plans for renewing it even before the series debuted. Just like The Westerner and The Loner, both of which were short-lived, Tate was too cerebral and too downbeat for the mainstream.

(A brief note for the Corrections Department: One frustrating bit of misinformation which has proliferated across the internet, even on the official page for the Tate DVD, is that the series was videotaped. In fact, the quickest glimpse at any Tate episode reveals that it was shot on film, not with the clunky video cameras of the era, which were limited in both resolution and range of motion. I'm not sure how that idea got started, except perhaps that the show carries an onscreen copyright in the name of Roncom Video Films - Perry Como's production company. But the term "video," at that time, was an industry synonym for television.)

*

At the other end of the scale is Laredo (1965-1967), which lives down to its reputation as one of the least distinguished of nineteen-sixties westerns. In fact, it's one of the worst TV shows, period, and perhaps a minor benchmark in the dumbing down of the medium.

Laredo concerns the adventures of three rowdy Texas rangers, played by Neville Brand, Peter Brown, and William Smith. (Philip Carey, cashing a paycheck, delivers a scene's worth of exposition in each episode and then disappears, just as Rick Jason had taken to doing in the later years of Combat.) It's distinguished from the glut of other westerns of its time mainly by its strident efforts to maintain a would-be comedic tone. Mainly, this means that, in the midst of carrying out the usual lawman's duties of leading posses and fighting Indians, the heroes incessantly needle and play elaborate pranks upon one another. It's the first, but by no means the last, TV show I can think of in which adults behave like hyperactive pre-teens for no discernible reason - except, perhaps, kinship with a target demographic.

What's startling about Laredo is how cruel and violent its prank subplots are. In the first episode, for example, Reese Bennett (Brand) retaliates against the other two rangers for their earlier mockery by leaving them bound in an Indian camp, where they're later tortured. In that instance, Reese gets the upper hand, but in most episodes Cooper (Brown) and Riley (Smith) outfox him. Brand's performance makes this dynamic extremely uncomfortable. I can imagine that Brand was trying to create a Paul Bunyanesque caricature - a Texan who was so dumb that he, et cetera, et cetera. But Reese is so helplessly stupid, and his chums are so smug and superior, that the experience is akin to watching schoolyard bullies taunt a retarded child. Laredo unavoidably implicates the viewer in its peculiar brand of cruelty - never is civility imposed on any of the characters - and I, for one, didn't feel like playing. Perhaps I've just lost my capacity, over the last, oh, eight or so years, to be amused by imbecilic Texan authority figures whose chief character traits are a cartoonish understanding of violence and an utter absence of basic human empathy.

Laredo, which carries no creator credit, was produced by veteran Universal staffers, all journeymen, including Wagon Train's Howard Christie and the director Richard Irving. So it's no surprise that the results were undistinguished, but it's worth noting that the odious premise of Laredo reliably defeated the efforts of some talented writers (John D. F. Black, Gene L. Coon), directors (Harvey Hart, Paul Stanley), and guest stars (Burgess Meredith, Jack Lord, Julie Harris). In the first dozen or so episodes, only a single performance struck me as original and worthwhile: Shelley Morrison's recurring role (in a pair of Black-scripted segments) as Linda Little Trees, a slightly-smarter-than-her-tribe female Indian chief who has the catchphrase, "Oooookay." It doesn't sound like much, but Morrison's befuddled delivery is priceless.

*

If Laredo weren't so awful, it would be a shame that Timeless's two DVD collections (which contain the entire first season) cram five hour-long episodes onto each disc, coating Universal's serviceable if slightly drab video masters in a thick blanket of artifacts and edge enhancement. Tate, also from Timeless, looks a little better. But it was Infinity's Man with a Camera package that really impressed me. The episodes are transferred from 16mm, but the prints - from the collection of the UCLA Film and Television Archive, also the source of Mister Peepers and hopefully more classic TV gems to come - are in excellent condition, and they have been rendered onto DVD with about as much detail as one could hope from that format.

Smallville (Season 8, premiere at 19 September '08)

I recently received a writing from a great writer who loves Passion Before Paycheck. She reminded me that it was recently Jacques Cousteau's 98th birthday. She also correlated how Cousteau embodied many of the things that PBP and the Isa-Adventure Team stands for - adventure, passion, dedication and living your life to the fullest.

I have also added this video below with the song written and sung by John Denver about the Calypso.

Thank you Terence for your writing we are grateful to have it on our site.

French writer Albert Camus once wrote, “I know this with sure and certain knowledge: a man’s work is nothing but a slow trek to rediscover, through the detours of art, those two or three great and simple images in whose presence his heart first opened.”

For those of us who were children in the 1970’s and 1980’s, one of the great and simple images in whose presence our hearts first opened was that of an elegant, mythical-looking man in a red wooly cap traversing the world’s oceans in his ship the Calypso. He and his team of charismatic adventurers called on foreign ports that we could not visit ourselves, explored ancient sites that we knew only from dreams, and lived life in a limitless way that few of us will ever experience. Our hearts didn’t just open in the presence of those enduring images, our hearts were transformed and grew bigger, and we learned early on what it means to yearn for life and adventure and for experiences as rich as Captain Cousteau’s.

Much time has passed since The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau or The Jacques Cousteau Odyssey television series graced our screens, but the images live on in our hearts, timeless and iconic. We think of them often. We think of rusty medieval war canons being lifted onto the Calypso’sdeck, of Cousteau sniffing Roman amphorae for ancient wine, of chief diver Falco resurrecting bronze statuettes from watery Aegean graves, of dolphins playfully flanking Calypso’s hull as she glides through pristine Caribbean waters. And then there’s the lasting image of the explorers gathered on deck, sharing a laugh or a cigarette or marveling at Venetian coins retrieved from the wreck below. Their camaraderie, their unmatched collection of shared adventures, evoked the tales of Homer and they not only took us along on their modern Odyssey, they provided us with a soundtrack and a poetic narrative that made the voyage more than an adventure, it made it art.

We knew even then that above all, Cousteau was an artist, a gifted and passionate cinematographer. “I’m not interested in achievements,” he was once quoted as saying, “I’m interested in having an interesting life and sharing it with the public on television.” And that he did, in almost a hundred films, two T.V. series, and eighty books that we compulsively collected. Yet, he still found time to co-invent the aqualung, father the science of undersea archaeology, advance underwater filming techniques, and later co-invent the Turbosail. As the inscription on his National Geographic Society Gold Medal reads, “To earthbound man, he gave the key to the silent world.”

If Cousteau and his men deserve criticism for anything, it’s for setting an impossible precedent for adventure. How many of us, after all, will ever experience the freedom, danger, joy, and pioneering thrill of the Calypso crew? Modern commercial jet travel, crowded airports, contrived vacation resorts, they do nothing to satisfy the adventurous spirit. In that sense, most of us don’t care about the extent of Cousteau’s scientific credentials, or about his private family affairs, or whether he failed twice for every success. What we care about is what Jacques Cousteau represents to us: freedom, art, adventure, the joy of being the first and best at what you do, living by the motto “Il faut aller voir” (”We must go and see for ourselves”). Whether he erred often or greatly makes little difference to those of us who grew up dreaming about donning a red cap and sailing the world. “We are not documentary,” Cousteau once said, “we are adventure films.” And it was the adventure that mattered to us. Not the science.

One of the great lessons that we learned from the Captain’s life is that is doesn’t take advanced educational degrees, wealth, or connections in high places to achieve success. It takes only creativity, desire, and an instinct for innovation. Cousteau evolved from a sickly child into a self-proclaimed misfit, then into a naval officer, later into an inventor and master cinematographer, and finally into the world’s greatest explorer and father of the modern environmental movement. None of it was planned, or handed to him, or laid out in advance. “Sometimes we are lucky enough to know that our lives have been changed,” Cousteau said about his first experience using goggles underwater. He took the seeds of chance and nurtured them into forests of experience, relying only on a visceral drive to create and discover new things.

The details of Jacques Cousteau’s life are fuzzy now for most of us, but it’s those early images that still dominate our thoughts: Cousteau emerging from his diving saucer after a 1,000ft-dive in the dark depths of the Atlantic, his son Philippe hovering over the pristine glaciers of Antarctica in a multi-colored air balloon, the inflatable Zodiac launching wildly out into rough waters to retrieve a lost buoy, the team’s helicopter circling a Greek island in search of Atlantis, the PBY Catalina seaplane roaring out of the sky one minute and then bobbing silently on the crystal waters of the Bermuda Triangle the next.

“I have accepted death not only as inevitable but also as constructive,” Cousteau once said. “If we didn’t die, we would not appreciate life as we do.” We were young when Cousteau uttered those words, and knew nothing of death, but we appreciated life because he appreciated it, and because he showed us how. He was not only captain of the Calypso, he was captain of our imaginations, and clearly one of the great men of the 20th century. Our only question now is, where is the successor to the charming and charismatic man who skippered the dreams of our youth?

It has been said that true happiness lies in the fulfillment of childhood dreams. If there is any truth to that statement, then happiness for many of us means donning a red wooly cap, climbing aboard an affectionately named ship, pointing to the horizon, and announcing to a small group of bold adventurers, “We must go and see for ourselves.”

Heroes is an American science fiction television drama series created by Tim Kring, which premiered on NBC on September 25, 2006. The early plot tells the stories of disparate and ordinary individuals from around the world who inexplicably develop superhuman abilities, and whose lives become gradually intertwined as they each find themselves in a similar path to save the world. The series also explores how these people adapt to the changes these abilities bring, and their roles in preventing catastrophes and saving humanity. The series emulates the aesthetic style and storytelling of American comic books, using short, multi-episode story arcs that build upon a larger, more encompassing arc. Kring and the writers have an idea of where the series is heading for the first five seasons. The series is produced by Universal Media Studios in association with Tailwind Productions, and it is filmed primarily in Los Angeles, California. The executive producers are Allan Arkush, Dennis Hammer, Greg Beeman and Tim Kring.

Heroes is my favorite tv series(as of now!), because of the incredible story, unpredictable plots, and most of all i'm a fan of "superpowers". It has ran 3 seasons and has 3 volumes as of now, each has a different plots. I will give you a brief synopsis.

SEASON 1

"Genesis"

Season two featured 11 out of a planned 24 episodes which aired on Mondays at 9:00 pm in the United States beginning on September 24, 2007. Only 11 out of the planned 24 episodes were broadcast due to the WGA writers' strike. Season two consisted of the second volume in the series, titled "Generations".Season two ended with its finale on December 3, 2007. Volume two begins four months after the events of Kirby Plaza. The main plot arc of "Generations" deals with the Company and its research on the Shanti virus. This research is explored through the Company's founders, whose identities are revealed, as well as through the effects of various strains of the virus. The "heroes" ultimately come together in an attempt to stop the release of a deadly strain of the virus and avert a global pandemic. Season 2 was originally going to comprise three volumes, however due to the writer's strike, the season was redesigned to only encompass one volume called "Generations". Originally Volume 3 was going to be called "Exodus", and Volume 4 was going to be called "Villains". As a result of the writers' strike, Volume 3 was changed to "Villains" and moved into season three. The "Exodus" story arc, which was originally designed to be a story arc reflecting the effects of the release of strain 138 of the Shanti virus, was canceled. Scenes from the volume two finale "Powerless", were reshot to reflect the cancellation of the "Exodus" volume, and to tie-up all the loose plot storylines of "Generations."

presently.........

SEASON 3

Season three opened with two one-hour episodes, airing on Monday, September 22, 2008 in the United States. The premiere of the third volume, "Villains", was preceded by a one-hour broadcast of the red carpet premiere, with clips from the past seasons and previews of the upcoming season, along with interviews with the series cast and crew. "Villains" was originally designed to be included within the second season; however, due to the writers' strike, the volume was carried over into season three. The lead-in to "Villains" showed Sylar regaining his lost powers, shown as the final scene of the "Generations" finale. Tim Kring has said that the new volume will bring a cadre of villains to the show, hence the title.[ On December 5, 2007, at the Jules Verne Film Festival Adventure, Tim Kring showed a video-preview of volume three. According to an interview with Allan Arkush, filming for season three began on May 1, 2008. On May 9, 2008, a season three promo clip was released with hints at possible "inner villains" within the heroes. The promo stated, "In every hero there could be a villain," before plastering the words "hero" and "villain" over the face of every major character. Finally, during the featured Heroes panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, the entire first hour of the first episode of the "Villains" arc was shown.

In July NBC began airing a teaser for season three featuring Noah Bennet talking to Claire stating, "Since before you were even born, I was finding these people and locking them away so that they couldn't hurt anybody. Now a dozen of them have escaped, and they will kill...and they will terrorize...and they will cause...unimaginable destruction to the world...they're villains, Claire," while a montage of clips play. Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar, has stated that the Villains story arc will last for thirteen episodes.

At the San Diego Comic-Con 2008 Kring screened the first part of the season opening episode of the "Villains" arc, entitled "The Second Coming", which was shown in its entirety at Comic-Con and received a positive response from fans.

Because i'm the avid fan of show, i've watched every single episode! yea, as in..i'm addicted to it. My favorite character is Peter Perelli, because i have some charateristic he has and plus he's the most powerful of all super people in HEROES. I also like Claire Bennet and Sylar, because they're one of the few people in the show that makes people wanna watch..hehehe. And if i would have the chance to have a power, i would choose the ability to absorb and mimic superpower just like Peter Petrelli

sometime i'll put some HEROES posts..okay?

It's virtually impossible to tell, by eye, an office PA from a young producer. Unstylish clothing, disheveled hair, four-day beard growth. (Of course, you'll know immediately if you see them getting out of their car.) But if you see me on the set without a walkie or a pair of gloves on my belt, I could be anybody.

So, it's always fun to walk past a casting office. You get all these pretty girls (or handsome guys, if that's your thing) smiling at you and being super nice. No one asks you for directions, or bugs you for a cup of coffee. Who knows? Maybe you wrote this episode.

Once they're cast, they quickly realize that I don't, in fact, matter. But for a minute, there, I feel really cool.

One thing I love about all these new shows, is the clothes! They wear the hottest clothes, shoes, accessories, and hairstyles! As for Lipstick Jungle, they're all middle-aged women and they look just as hot as the younger girls on Gossip Girl. Check out these screen shots of the show.

Both of them look amazing. I think that's a skirt with a white tank tucked in but it could be a dress! Hot! Love the vibrant purple sweater thrown over it. That blue dress is a great shade too.

Look at her hair (Victory Ford on the show) from behind.

Anyone ever see this hairstyle before? Such a unique twist on a braid/ponytail!

Brooke Sheilds looks stunning with long waves of hair and a skyblue top with blue pearls to match! Try an accessory that matches your clothing exactly like this, it looks like it's part of the shirt.

Niko (her character in the show) looks EXACTLY like my mom if you cared to know. Lol I can't get over it. But middle-aged women if you want to look sexy, trendy, and young but still age appropriate, try this hairstyle. Not many middle-aged women have long hair so try this shoulder length blunt cut. Very stylish and still sexy. Run a curling iron through it for this look. And wear vibrant colors! Forget black! Sure it's slimming but try black pants with a hot pink top or deep violet or blue. You can pull it off!

Check out the hot pencil skirt in a red shade! Looks great along with the lighter red, almost peach band of color that goes around the waist.

Go buy yourself a coat in a shade like this that stands out! Pea coats and trench coats come in so many hot colors and it's a coat, you can wear it with anything. It'll add spice to your outfit. Look at Victory Ford with those blue gloves! You can mix and match hot colors as long as they are of the same hue. Meaning, pastels with pastels and neons with neons. A bright pink like this goes with a bright blue of the same intensity.

Just wanted to throw him in for some eye candy! This is Robert Buckley, Kirby on the show. I'm in love.

Bella

I heart NY

203 The Barbarian Sublimation

203 The Barbarian Sublimation

Sheldon的「AFK」與Penny的「OIC」

Sheldon: 「What does that stand for？」

Penny：「(clearly and slowly) Oh I See...」

Sheldon：「Yes, but what does it stand for？」

XDDDD

「Level 3 and she thinks she is rich...」
「What a newb.」

還是「在大學食堂對隔壁桌男生的『May I have your number？』」

「It's like some kind of wierd comic book crossover.」
「Like if Hulk were dating Peppermint Patty.」

XD
America Ferrera

「I'm looking for Betty.」

Claire
Wilhelmina

Ending Scene

XD

Anyway,

10 Most Powerful Computers of All Time

10.Tardis

Dr. Who is the original geek cult TV series, beat

10 Most Powerful Computers of All Time

10.Tardis

Dr. Who is the original geek cult TV series, beating Star Trek to the small screen by three years, and while Tardis is not the only rig on this list allows for time travel, were suckers for that Time Lord tech, and doubly impressed that the Tardis is grown, not built, making it the ultimate green PC.

9. WABAC machine

Baseball. Nope. A beautiful summer day. No way. The ice cream man. Uh-uh. Nothing, seemingly, was powerful enough to draw kids outside when Rocky and Bullwinkle was on and Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman hopped into the WABAC machine.

8. Holly

Although regularly showing signs of senility due to spending 3 million years on its own, we find Holly’s ability to transform from a middle aged, balding man into a blonde woman a particularly desirous skill for many technophiles.

7. Proteus IV

Talk about packing a load of RAM, no other machine we know of has the power to impregnate Julie Christie!

6. Deep Blue

What could possibly be more boring than watching a chess match? In our book, nothing (that is until someone decides to start broadcasting online poker tournaments). Until that day arrives, chess retains the title of worst spectator sport ever devised. Yet the epic battle between Deep Blue and Gary Kasparov had us rethink this proposition. Deep Blue’s 1997 victory gave us an early view into the mind of our soon-to-arrive computer overlords.

5. WOPR

Yes, in fact, we would like to play a game. The WOPR takes us back to a more innocent time when a 2400 baud modem and a bit of ingenuity would allow you to change your grades or play a game of Global Thermonuclear War. And in a game of chess, we’ll take WOPR over entry No. 6 any day.

4. Roadrunner

Roadrunner is a $133 million computer used for classified military projects. Perhaps a $135 million computer will be able to find weapons of mass destruction.

3. HAL

How many conversations between a man and a computer have become cultural touchstones? By our count, one. Even folks who consider sci-fi a sort of geek plague that will instantaneously make you wear your pants three inches too high and utilize a Flowbee for your next haircut know that HAL doesn’t want to open the pod bay doors.

2. Master Control Program

We can think of no other computer powerful enough to cause a grown man to do this:

1. M5 Multitronic System

Yes, Dr. Who was first, but Start Trek remains unquestionably the geek TV touchstone. And while the other machines on this list present a broad range of unique and previously unseen powers, we’re quite confident in our assessment that no other machine could possibly be more powerful than the rig that was powerful enough to power the ship that powered the show that powers a million geeks!

Finally, TV show that speaks to the very core of me.

A romantic's dream, CW's 'Valentine' is about how the 'Valentine family' - Aphrodite, Cupid, Hercules, and the Goddess of the Oracle of Delphi, are living amongst humans and helping bring soulmates together.

Unfortunately, the gods' matchmaking skills have become less and less effective for today's modern man (and woman.) And as they continue to fail and in effect become less relevant to man, they're becoming mortals who could and would eventually die.So Grace a.k.a. Aphrodite recruited romance novelist Kate Providence to help them up their skills for the 21st century.

With the fates giving out the Valentines' calling card and the Oracle of Delphi, now housed in a hot tub, the valentines are going to try to bring love back in people's lives.

I absolutely love this show.
The romantic in me is just tooo thrilled.
Can't wait for the next episode.

PS.
I LOVE how they depicted Aphrodite.
She may not be the blond goddess but she REALLY works for me.

PPS.
In the first episode, my crushie from the show 'quarter life' - the actor who played Eric, is on. :-) Weeeee!

Just finished watching the fourth episode of Heroes season 3, titled "I am Becoming Death".

What happened? Yeah, you guys in the Philippines may have to wait a little longer or dowload the episode so, no need to tell you that now huh? Let's wait... Oh yeah, Sylar exploded in Texas just like a bomb (nuclear) in Juno Beach.

It still all about VILLAINS, just like Mario Land, turned Wario Land Shake it.

Let me qoute a website I saw just now..

Peter from the future visits the present one and urges him to use a powerful but dangerous ability in order to save the world in episode "I Am Become Death".

Present Peter is also threatened at gunpoint by the future Claire and also had strange encounter with Sylar. After revealed in the two-hour season premiere that Sylar is the biological son of Angela, which means that he is also a Petrelli, Sylar changes from a villain to soft-hearted man who regards Peter's presence as a brother.

Meanwhile, Mohinder is having confusion of what's happening to him. He was previously revealed to have possessed a special ability that can make him climbing the wall with no gear on. Hiro and Ando come to Adam for information about the person that hired Daphne. Bennet in the meantime, tries to get rid of his partner.

Yeah, sure sure, I can't describe the episode myself, but hey, it's late (10pm) and there's work tomorrow.. :D I need to finish this now. :D
