Tarihsel "husumet"in mücadeleyi bir futbol oyunundan ziyade bir didişme zirvesine taşıyacağını az çok bekliyorduk zaten.

İlk yarı "sıkıntı arkadaş" türü bir tabloyla karşıladı bizi. Buna önce saha zemininin bozukluğu eklendi, üstüne şiddetli rüzgar bindi, sos olarak da Servet'in "milli takıma böylesine dengesiz ve düz bir adamın ne işi var" dedirten performansı eklenince iftar saatini çile saatine dönüştürmeyi, hep birlikte, başardık.

Fatih Hocanın Emre saplantısını anlamak olası değil artık. Avrupa Şampiyonası'na da Emre ile ve mağlubiyetle başladık, malum, sonrasında Emre'siz oyunlarda çokça da şansımızın yardımıyla başımızı dik tutabildik. Terim; Emre üzerinden Dünya'ya yepyeni bir model sürmeyi düşünüyorsa, ki bu da mümkün, düşünülebilir, ama ortaya konmuş hiçbir şey yok! Belli ki Emre ile Milli Takım uyum içinde olamıyor. Adını koyamadığımız bir sıkıntı her maçta sırım sırım sırıtıyor, bu çok açık.

Şunu da söylemeli;

Kimsenin Emre'nin futbolculuğuna edecek lafı olamaz, ama Milli Takım'daki Emre performanslarına söyleyecek lafı olmayanın da objektifliği kalmaz! Olmuyor işte, ne diye "inadına Emre", neyin inadı bu ve kime neyi kanıtlama peşindeyiz?

Colin Kazım'ın girişiyle "kendine güvenen" bir fazla futbolcumuz oldu sahada ve bu hemen skora da yansıdı. Semih'in golüyle maç koptu ve sonrası yeni eziyet dakikaları olarak yine sarıp sarmaladı izleyenleri.

Gazeteciliğimizin ilk yıllarında "Tan" adlı bir gazete yayınlanmaya başlamış ve "cinselliği okşayan" yayınlarıyla tirajları alt üst etmişti. Biz yeni nesil gazeteciler için Tan'da çalışıyor olmak, olabilecek en berbat referanstı ve kimse orada çalışsa da bunu yüksek sesle söyleyemezdi. Tan'da geçen her gün, meslek hayatı adına kayıp gündü.

Düşünüyorum da, mesela ben futbol topu olsaydım; özverisine saygı duyduğum Servet Çetin'in ayağında geçirdiğim her dakikayı "kayıp"
haneme yazdırırdım. Hayır bir gün "futbol topunu kırdı" diye bir başlıkla karşılaşsam misal, aklıma Servet gelirse, suçlusu ben miyim?

Neyse, çok uzattık. Ermeni oyunculara centilmenlikleri için teşekkür edip darısı Belçika'nın başına diyelim. Teknik yorumları da o maç sonrasına saklayalım..

Death Magnetic Review - 8.5/10

That Was Just Your Life - 8.0/10

The album starts with this song, and as it starts playing, the sound of a heart beat, blood pumping through veins, is heard. Through my first hearing of the album, the tension was already too high for me. Would Metallica overcome the recent poor albums, including the terrible St. Anger? This album to me would either make or break Metallica's career once and for all - if it were a St. Anger 2, I believe Metallica would be forced to call it quits. The heartbeat continues, the tension increases. Then, suddenly, perfectly produced, clean guitar comes in, a little "Enter Sandman"ish, a little "Load" influenced. They've still got time to prove themselves, I think to myself. The bass, audible, comes in. And suddenly enough, like a sudden burst of rage, the heavy, distorted power chords come in, with a few eerie leads come in. They want this intro to last as long as possible - to outline the intent of the album and to create an tense atmosphere for this, the most anticipated album for a long, long time. Then, some slayer-esque, almost off-key sounding notes come in, and the drums start to build the power - eventually building up to climax, as the drums stop, and the main riff comes in... Metallica are back! A typical, triplet heavy, palm-muted, chunky, power-chord filled riff is pushed forward with well produced drums (thankfully), and even some reasonable double-bass by Lars. James starts singing - and the result is that Metallica have finally found the perfect way to complement each others new styles while staying metal. Hetfield seems more alive, more excited about the album and his voice shows this, with some powerful vocals in this song. The lyrics aren't anything to write home about, but as the song starts to break down, later on, the most anticipated part of the album starts - A Kirk Hammett solo, previously absent from St. Anger! Afterwards, the song kind of leads off into a harmonised riff, with some genuinely good chugging riffs in the background. By the end of the song I had a smile on my face - the song was genuinely good, and a solid start for the album.

The End of The Line - 7.5/10

The infamous "Death Is Not The End" riff starts the song, but the production is so... huge, it never sounded this good live. It's really chunky, with loads of low end without making the high's sound tinny. The verse riff starts, and Hetfield bursts out some lyrics which seem to be influenced by the style of Creeping Death, which certainly isn't a bad thing. The whole song has a very groove-metal feel, and some may find there are hints of Pantera's sound in some of the riffs. This is not a bad thing however. Another "Death Is Not The End" riff comes in roughly half way through the song after another harmonised lead, and then the song is let down, unfortunately, but an awful Hammett solo, drenched in wah and tinny tone. The whole solo sounds out of place in construction too. The song gets lighter with Hetfield singing akin to the Load/Reload era. The delivery of the "Slave becomes the Master!" line, however, is impressive, as it builds to a crescendo as the song gets heavier again. It really builds up well and has a fantastic structure to it, but I usually skip it when I listen to the album again - it's a good song overall, it just seems to last a little too long, with many riffs being repeated unnecessarily in my opinion, and the riffs seem a little generic, but otherwise, it still is much better than any of the songs on St Anger.

Broken, Beat & Scarred - 9.5/10

One of my personal favourites. I can see what Kirk meant when he said that some songs had a "Middle Eastern" vibe. The exotic lead is complemented by a more exotic drum style with an interesting choice of having a basic, typical Metallica, palm-muted open E riff, but played in such a way that it follows the rhythmic style of the middle-eastern vibe. Then the song picks up, mainly thanks to the drums which are really powerful, and almost force your head to start to nod to the beat. Then, my favourite riff of the album comes in, which is a quite untypical Metallica riff, played one octave higher than usual, with an odd triplet/rest pattern which fits the introduction beautifully. The verse riff then comes in, which is the same riff played one octave lower, while Hetfield sings with extreme passion and power - it's just a shame he didn't have a clue what he was singing, because he would have realised it was quite a cheap, generic lyric he was repeating "What doesn't kill ya make ya more strong!". However, I can understand the reasoning behind it, as St. Anger truely did make them more strong, it seems, along with his drinking habit which he overcame. Another lyrical annoyance is the chanting of "SHOW YOUR SCARS!" which just sounds cheesey and out of place. It's a shame, because if the lyrics were worked on a little more I believe this song would be one of the best Metallica songs of all time. The drums really flow and the power is used well to keep the atmosphere high-tempo. A pretty decent solo from Hammett, similar to the style of many of his earlier songs, this time without wah, is included. The song breaks down after the solo with some other riffs to keep interest up, and ends suddenly, keeping the solid, fast tempo. The whole song is a fast assault on the ears, and I can see this being a fan favourite at concerts, I can imagine the crowd going mental as this is being played on stage.

The Day That Never Comes - 8.5/10

I assume this was put here for a reason, so that if they played the whole album live they could rest their hands from "Broken, Beat & Scarred"! A mellow, fairly clean song throughout, reminds me of a mix between "The Unforgiven II" and "Fade to Black", with a little of the new Metallica style that we are witnessing added towards the end, as Hetfield shouts "THIS I SWEAR!" with bags of power. I am convinced he has found a new love for the music he creates. Some generic heavy riffs here and there, some Maiden-esque harmonised leads, which create a galloping atmosphere, which really shows that Metallica are not just trying to return to Metallica, but create a new style that is fresh, and experiment. Another very solid solo from Hammett, with no wah, thankfully, but it feels a little thrown together, as does the whole song, and for this reason I don't feel it is a classic. It also takes too long to build up. But again, a very decent effort, and a fairly technical song by Metallica's standards.

All Nightmare Long - 10/10

Robert Trujillo gets to play around a little with an experimental sounding bass intro, with the guitars coming in with a vicious constant stream of power akin to "Fight Fire With Fire". It breaks down with an extremely groove-metal, sing along riff. This song continues the progressive sound that was started back in ...And Justice For All. This is probably the heaviest, and possibly fastest song of the album, and a favourite of mine. Hetfield powers out the lyrics, melodically "Hunt you down all nightmare long!", which actually are pretty good in the context and coupled with the uplifting riff behind it, is one of those parts that injects adrenaline into you, it is such a singable song that I am sure it will be popular in concerts. The dissonant sounding power chords towards the end are cleverly used to sound, actually, rather good, and Hammett uses his wah in another reasonable solo. The song uses another "Death Is Not The End" riff, has some chugging riffs and double bass by Lars, and finally the song uses the epic chorus that I talked about earlier, and finishes with a meaty breakdown. By the end of the song you feel completely fulfilled already that this album is as good as you could ever hope.

Cyanide - 8.5/10

It's got a cool, catchy riff that they perhaps overuse, and is produced well. Not much else to report, apart from the fairly solid lyrics that many fans will remember from Mission Metallica footage: "Suicide! I've already died. You're just the funeral I've been waiting for!". Otherwise it overall feels like a bit of an overshadowed song, similar to how "Leper Messiah" was overshadowed and overlooked on the album "Master of Puppets". It's decent but doesn't stand out. Interesting use of harmonising towards the end, after the solo. But again, hard to say much either way about this over all solid song, although the lyrics by the end can seem fairly over-milked.

The Unforgiven III - 7.5/10

Piano in a Metallica song! This, along with some orchestral instruments builds the ballad nature, and finally the clean guitars come in, and this thoroughly deserves its "Unforgiven" title. It truely feels part of this trilogy. However the song feels a little too hard rock for me, similar to "The Unforgiven II", and the other songs on Load and Reload. However, I feel it goes on for far too long and, although solid, isn't anything special.

The Judas Kiss - 7.0/10

This song is like marmite it seems, some people love it and some hate it. I personally don't see it as anything special, but I love the "BOW DOWN!" shouts from Hetfield and the riff that goes with it. But I just think the main riff is too dissonant and experimental, and it does feel a little stock like I have said about some of the other songs. Another wah drenched solo, which is a let down, but this one seems to have some sort of dynamic about it and is actually pretty damn good as far as Kirk's solos go. The song seems to go on for too long and just fades away a little. It doesn't hold my attention as well as the others and I suppose I am on the "hate" side of it, although I still like it, it is my least favourite of the album. For once, it was Kirk's soloing ability that saved this song from my dislike of it.

Suicide and Redemption - 8.5/10

Metallica prove once more that they have a bassist, and a very competent one at that, with this, the instrumental of the album, and their first instrumental since AJFA. Some laid back drumming makes some of the riffs seem like some strong sleeze-rock riffs, which isn't too bad, but it's not incredibly metal either. Still, sounds good, and that's what matters to me. The problem with this song like all of their instrumentals, is the overuse of riffs, and the drawn out nature of it. However, come 3:45, a heartfelt, creamy lead from Hammett over some cleans bring this to life, and as the power chords come in, he plays in a very Iron Maiden style, with some harmonisation, and some real uplifting use of phrasing. When the solo comes in, I have to say it's one of Kirk Hammett's best, if not his best solo, and judging by his performance from 3:45 to pretty much the end of the song, I think his potential is alot higher than people make out when they mindless bash Kirk. The song ends with a breakdown and some pretty high-standard playing by Lars to bring on the final riff. Very solid instrumental.

My Apocalypse - 8.0/10

This is a solid metal track, maybe a little upbeat, but it's very fast, triplets everywhere, with excellent delivery of the words "DEATH MAGNETIC" by Hetfield, and a Slayer-esque riff makes this song much more interesting, breaking the song down to an even faster section that hits a crescendo as the solo comes in, probably the second best of the album, and the lack of wah contributes to this. It is a perfect end to an excellent album. It ends with a powerful E powerchord and fades out. I am left sitting there, silent. Metallica have finally done it.

I've heard some good metal albums this year, with slight favourites being Dominici's "O3 - A Trilogy Part 3" and Children of Bodom's "Blooddrunk". But I think this is definitely my all time favourite of 2008. And it's not even out yet :) I HIGHLY recommend you buy it. I will be, even though I already have it - Metallica deserve the money for this one.

Benim için Ulusoy ailesi çok bilinmeyenli bir denklem değil.
Ulusoy'lar hakkında yazılabilecek en güzel cümleler, Nihat Genç kitaplarında saklı. Eski bir fıkra koyalım neşemizi bulalım.

Ulusoy Otobusu içindeyiz, muavin eline mikrofonu almış mola anonsu yapıyor:

Olsun Mu? Oldu Mu? Eh, olmadı tabi, ama kime anlatacaksın..

Ulusoy ailesi, yüz yılın başında çok saygı değer bir babanın kurduğu düzeni, çok çalışarak bu günlere taşımış bir aile. Yaşayan neslin en büyüğü Ali Osman Ulusoy, Trabzonspor'a da ilk yıllarında büyük katkılar sağlamış ve sağlamaya da devam etmektedir ve "harbi"
Trabzonsporlular için "baba" Ulusoy'un yeri apayrıdır.

Ulusoy ailesinin önceliklerinin hiçbir zaman "memleket" ya da "futbol" olduğuna inanmadım, öncelikleri hep ekonomi oldu. Evrensel olarak bakıldığında, aslında doğru olanın da bu olduğunu söylemek durumundayız. Ama işte Trabzon evrensel ekonominin değil, içtenliğin ve samimiyetin başkenti ola gelmiş bir şehir geleneğine sahipti, bu yüzden ilk "soğumalar" başladı. Ulusoy'ların bir kolunun Fenerbahçe'de (Başaran Ulusoy) bir kolunun Galatasaray'da (Haluk
Ulusoy) bir kolunun da "hısımlık" bağı ile BJK'da oluşu bir tesadüf değil; toplumsal dinamikleri kontrol etme ve her alanda var olma politikasının ürünüdür. Samsun ve Yılmaz Ulusoy ilgisi çok önemsiz görünse de aileye büyük katkıları olmuştur, ıskalamayalım.

Bugün ülkenin en büyük ekonomik güçlerinden biri olmayı başardılarsa, işte bu stratejik planın sonucudur.

Meseleye böyle bakınca; H.Ulusoy'un özünde Trabzonlu ve Trabzonsporlu olmasına rağmen zamanla "sararması"nın anlaşılmaz bir yönü de yoktur.
İnsan, sosyal çevresinin etkisi altında kalabilir ve belli ki Haluk Ulusoy bu etkileşim sürecini oldukça kısa tutmuş, bu da bir tercih, kimseyi ilgilendirmemeli.

Trabzonluların bir kısmının anlamakta zorlandıkları "Trabzonlu nasıl Galatasaraylı olur" sorusuna ekonomi referanslı bir yanıt verebildiğimi sanıyorum.

Trabzonluların ve tüm Türkiyelilerin ve tabi ben naçizin anlamakta asıl zorlandığı şudur;

Federasyon Başkanlığı gibi bir makamı işgal eden ve var oluş gerekçesi adalet olan bir makam, nasıl olur da böylesine bir ayıbı sümen altı eder? Diyelim ki haberi olmadı, haberi olunca nasıl olur da hesabını sormaz? Evet Trabzonsporlu olmayabilir, şu veya bu kaygılarla bir hacimliye destek verebilirsiniz, benim gözümde bu sizi Trabzonluluktan çıkarmaz. Ama, birinin hakkını, ki bu biri Trabzon'dur, Sivas'tır, ondan alıp bir diğerine vermeye sessiz kalabiliyorsanız, işte o dakika benim gözümde zerre kadar Trabzonluluğunuz kalmaz!

Bu arada, bu skandalı yorumlarken olayı Sivasspor idarecilerinin bizce de malum olan "ağlaklığına" taşımak hiç adilane değil. Şu veya bu şekilde, mevcut tüzüğe göre Sivas mağdur değil midir?

BJK cenahından sık sık " delikanlıca" çıkışlar yapan Sinan Engin'in ve elbet Başkan Demirören'in de bu "vakıa"dan haberleri vardı, suskun kalışlarını vizyonsuzluk olarak yorumlayıp geçmek en güzeli. Değmez zira uzun cümleler kurmaya, herşey ortada, anlayana..

Bir ayrıntıyı daha bütüne ekleyip bu utanç vesikasını tamam edelim.
Hatırlarsanız BJK camiasının en çok bilinen isimlerinden İhsan Kalkavan, katıldığı bir TV programında "Trabzon'u asla şampiyon yapmazlar, şampiyonluğu İstanbul'un dışına çıkarmazlar" demişti, kötü niyetle söylediğine de ihtimal vermiyorum üstelik, daha 20 gün oldu olmadı bu kelamı edeli.
Bu skandal ortaya çıkınca insanın aklına şu geliyor; Evet bu ülkede şampiyonluk "İstanbul dışına" çıkarılmaz.
Ortalığa dökülen ve dökülmeyen "cerahatları" gördükten sonra, Kalkavan'a hak vermemek elde değil.
Benim bildiğim şu;
Hiçbir şampiyonluğunda sümenaltı cerahat bulunmayan Trabzonspor; güçlülerin federasyonunun sümen altına da sığmaz ve sümen altı edilen cerahatları, cerahat sahipleriyle aynı yerde buluşturur!

ALBAYRAK NE DEDİ?

Skandalın bir tarafı da Trabzonspor ve Başkanı Nuri Albayrak'tı. Sayın Albayrak bu skandaldan haberi olmadığını, haberi olsaydı gereğini yapacağını bildikleri için kendisinden saklanmış olabileceğini söyledi. Diyalog şudur;

-Sayın Başkan, siz geçen sezon Trabzonspor Başkanıydınız, haberiniz oldu mu bu skandaldan?

-Hayır hiç haberim olmadı, olsaydı gereğini yapardım.

-Trabzonspor İdari Kadrosu bu yanlışlığın farkına varmamış olabilir mi? Ya da varmış olsalar da sizi bilgilendirmemiş olabilir mi?

-Ben yönetimi oluştururken sayın Ulusoy'dan yardım istemiştim ve onun önerdiği birkaç ismi de yönetimime almıştım. Federasyon seçimlerinde Ulusoy'u desteklerken de kimleri karşımıza aldığımızı tüm kamuoyu biliyor. Ama sayın Ulusoy Sivas maçıyla ilgili süreçte bizi çok yalnız bıraktığı gibi bu maçı katleden Bülent Demirlek'e FİFA kokartı bile takmıştır. Daha ne denebilir ki? Yanılmışız..

-Yani, şunu mu söylüyorsunuz sayın Başkan; bu skandaldan Trabzonspor'un idari kadroları da haberdar olmuş olabilirler, ama bana kimse bilgi vermedi!?

-Olamaz diyemem, çünkü o dönem herkes bilirdi ki ben bu bilgiye sahip olsam gereğini yapardım!

Igår började kvällen med att jag, Alice och Robin gjorde en god carbonara här hemma innan vi åkte över till Petter. Efter någon timme var det jag, Alice, Robin, Petter, Lollo och Therese som åkte in mot caféet. Vi mötte upp med ST på vägen och var där ganska tidigt.

Den här gången blev det ett bord ute för omväxlingens skull. Det fylldes på med folk ganska snabbt. Vi träffade Toppa och Arvid, och strax efter ett kom Wiking förbi också. Som vanligt blev det en superkväll där och vi gick vid tvåtiden.

Efter ett obligatoriskt besök på donken prutade jag ner en sur taxichaufför till 200 kr. Men när vi kom till Danderyds sjukhus så gick det självklart inte att ta ut pengar där, så det slutade med att vi hoppade ur på Statoil istället.

Imorse blev jag väckt av Alice runt niotiden. Hon undrade vad som hände igår kväll, men kom ganska snart på att hon faktiskt kom ihåg allt själv. En kvart senare åkte vi ner till Gateau och fick en god frukost.

Sedan till det här med biljard; vi ägnade förmiddagen åt det hemma hos Alice, vilket var trevligt och i stil med förra onsdagen då det blev bowling.

Nu ska jag nog in till stan snart och låsa upp några iPhones, sedan blir det en lugn kväll.

Lig Radyo'da Uğur Meleke'nin programını dinliyorum. Yoldayım, karıştırıyor olabilirim ama sanırım Mehmet Ayan ve Gökmen Özdenak da programın diğer konuk/katılımcıları.

Şurdan buradan derken konuşmacılardan biri "Semih'in gol attıktan sonraki 10 saniyesi çok özeldi"ye benzer bir cümle kurdu. Diğerleri de katıldı bu görüşe ve Semih'e espriyle karışık bir kutsama ile alkışlar gönderildi. Ki bence de çok iyi yapıldı.

Derdimiz; sahalarımızdaki güzellikleri renklerin at gözlüklerine mahkum kalmadan hep birlikte yüceltebilme noktasına taşınmamızdır.

Fenerbahçe'nin 2-0'lık galibiyetiyle biten karşılaşmanın hemen ardından, maç yazımı Semih'in 'insan' tarafına ayırmış biri olarak, bu güzelliğin spor adamları tarafından dile getirilmesi ve sahiplenilmesi bana müthiş keyif verir.

Beklerdim ki, katılımcılardan biriyle aynı mecrada yazıyor olmanın da etkisiyle belki, daha maçın dumanı tüterken Semih'i öne çıkaran Sedat Tunalı'nın yazdıklarını da referans gösterme doğrusunu gösterebilselerdi. Bunu yapmak, yapanı yüceltir, yapılmazsa Tunalı Tunasından bir şey kaybetmez üstelik. Hem Sedat Tunalı üçünüzün de 'büyüğü' , sizler kısa pantolonlarla yazarlık düşleri kurarken o Hürriyet ve Güneş gazetelerinde Süper Lig maçlarını 'izlemekle görevli' bir muhabirdi. Kabukları kıralım, Sedat Tunalı 'şehir' çocuğudur, her şeyi görüyor, sakın tasa etmeyin.

SİZİN HİÇ BABANIZ ÖLDÜ MÜ?

Çok değerli arkadaşımız Hakan Kulaçoğlu babasını kaybetti. Babayı kaybetmenin ne demek olduğunu bilmiyorum. Efendi'nin Hacı Murat'ın en büyük ve en yakışıklı oğlu Seyfullah Kınalı, şeytan kulağına kurşun, hala ladin ağacı gibi dimdik ayakta, Allah uzun ömür versin.

Can Yücel'in, sürekli iş gezilerinde olan maarif müfettişi babasına duyduğu özlemi dizelerinde elle tutulurcasına hissetmek mümkündür. Koca şairin çocuk yüreğiyle babasını daha çok görmek için 'hastalığı' bir bahane olarak kullanması, bir babayla oğlun en kutsal buluşmalarına zemin hazırlar ve çocuk yüreği babasına sarılma şansı bulurdu. Fazlasıyla dramatiktir.

SERDAR BALİ'NİN 'İNTERNET ÇOCUKLARI' TEPKİSİ

Futbolculuğuna hayran olduğum; negatif ve pozitif yanlarıyla 'has' bir Trabzon delikanlısı olduğuna inandığım Serdar Bali, kendisine yönelik eleştirilere 'Trabzonluca' bir tepki koymuş, yani duygu ve 'delikan' yönü ağır basan, ama özünde samimiyet olan bir tepki.

Serdar Bali, en çok genç taraftarlardan bir kısmının kendisinden 'bu adam' diye bahsetmesinden ve 'nemalanıyor' imalarından rahatsız olmuş ve adresi Avni Aker olan bir meydan okumayı dillendirmiş, ki bu işin abartı kısmı olmuş. Serdar Bali, bırakın oyunculuk dönemini; Cale transferindeki isabeti ile en azından saygıyı hak etmiyor mu? Ah o tanımlanamaz ego yok mu.

Ben bu konudan nasıl haberdar oldum derseniz, yakın zamanda Volkan Konak'tan bahsederken benzer bir aşağılamayı, elbet kendince, kullanan bir kardeşten duydum.

Trabzon'un en büyük sorunlarından biri bu; Sevgisizliğe bir de saygısızlığı ekliyor ve çamur deryasında yüzmeyi marifet sanıyoruz. Trabzon'da bir gazeteci Konak'a sallarken, o mesela Bahçeşehir'de 20 bin kişiye müziğin evrenselliğiyle Karadeniz'i ve Trabzon'u anlatıyordu. Dünya çok küçük evet, ama kişisel dünyanızın daha küçültmeye ne gerek var, anlamak zor.

OKAY KARACAN VE HARUN KOLÇAK'A BİN SELAM

Okay Karacan malum Habertürk Spor Servisi'nin kaptanı, Harun Kolçak da müzisyen kimliğiyle topluma mal olmuş bir sanatçı. Dün gece bu iki popüler isim, hiç de pop kültüre hizmet etmeyen ama "insanlığa katkı"
sayılabilecek bir işe gönüllerini koyup, Kızılay'a kan bağışladılar.

Kana ihtiyaç duyulmadığında kan ihtiyacının derinliğini anlamak mümkün olmayabilir, ama bir gün bir yakınınız için kan bulmanız gerektiğinde Karacan ve Kolçak'ın bu sosyal tavrını da anlayabileceğimizi umuyorum.

St. Paul, Minn. — Hours after a peaceful anti-war march concluded, police continued to confront and arrest rebellious protesters in downtown St. Paul. Police made 284 arrests, according to the St. Paul Joint Information Center representing local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Earlier, the concert had been a peaceful oasis of music, with few law enforcement officers in sight. Ticketholders had to leave their campaign signs at the gate of the concert featuring Rage Against the Machine, Pharcyde and Mos Def.

Ayantu Gemeda, a member of the Minneapolis-based Oromo People of East Africa and Ethiopia, marched with the main group, holding signs that read "We pay taxes, too" and waved Ethiopian flags. She and fellow group members wanted to protest the war in Iraq as well as U.S. policies that support Ethiopia and genocide in their home country.

"As Oromos living in America, we need to be heard and recognized," said Gemeda, of Minneapolis. "This Republican National Convention, this protest means a lot to us. And it's something that we are going to have to be loud and be proud." Read more here.

ST. PAUL, minn.

Scanning the thousands of delegates and spectators at the Republican National Convention on Monday, the handful of ethnic minorities in Virginia's delegation didn't see many faces that resembled theirs.

But in conversations, those delegates say they feel at home among fellow Republicans, united by principles, beliefs and devotion to country, if not by race.

"I think the Republican Party historically has been diversified," said Chuck Smith, a black delegate from Virginia Beach.

"The trick is trying to convince a lot of our minority brothers and sisters, particularly African Americans, that this is our home party. This is where it all began. This is where African Americans were first elected to the Senate and the House of Representatives," Smith said, referring to blacks elected to Congress during the 19th-century Reconstruction era.

History is one thing; the present is another for Republicans who continue to struggle with bringing minorities into the fold.

At the Xcel Energy Center convention site, there were gender and age differences among delegates, as well as faces of varying beige and brown hues speckled throughout the crowd.

Though at this presidential convention, like many before it, white is the skin color that stands out among the sea of red, white and blue.

And if the convention crowd is a microcosm of the broader GOP coalition, then it largely remains one of Caucasian homogeny despite efforts by party elders to expand its scope to include members of other ethnicities.

"You see very few," said Kamelsh Dave, a first-time delegate from Chester who came to this country from India in 1980, about the lack of minorities at the convention.

Like several minority delegates from Virginia, Dave said the appeal of the GOP is its message of self-reliance leading to success. It is a viewpoint that he believes could have meaning to minority voters if branded properly.

"Just because you have the right cause, the right reason and the right strategy, it may not be sold easily," he said. " The product is great, but the party has not done a great job packaging and marketing."

For all their efforts, the GOP has not perfected its minority pitch.

In 2004, President George W. Bush lost the black vote by a margin of nearly 9 to 1, and the Latino and Asian vote by narrower splits of about 5 to 4.

He still won re-election, securing victory with heavy support among whites, who made up 77 percent of all voters four years ago, according to exit polls. Minorities accounted for 23 percent of voters.

Winning elections with that kind of ratio has been an effective formula for the GOP, though some party leaders quietly worry about the effect that projected population shifts will have on their electoral margins. Recent Census Bureau figures predict America will have a majority minority population within 24 years.

One recent attempt to recruit blacks to run for federal and state offices was spearheaded by former Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman around 2006. The effort is generally seen as a failure.

At the insistence of state Party Chairman Jeff Frederick, whose mother is Colombian, a similar push is under way in Virginia.

Though not specifically aimed at attracting minorities to run as Republicans, the campaign seeks to expand outreach by tasking minority party members to focus on recruitment among members of their respective ethnic groups.

Republicans such as Smith insist the party must remain consistent with its recruitment efforts and not just revive them in election years.

Seconding that notion is David Ramadan, who is in St. Paul, Minn., this week but is not a delegate.

"The Republican Party stands for what minorities stand for: the American dream," said Ramadan, an Arab American from Northern Virginia. "It stands for chances to all with no discrimination."

That message has been a hard sell for the GOP, which lags behind in the battle for minority voters.

The Democrats' nomination last week of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama as their presidential candidate - the first black candidate by a major party in the nation's history - sent a strong message of their party's progressiveness.

At their convention last week in Denver, Democrats also touted the diversity of their national and Virginia delegation. Minorities were 44 percent of total delegates, while 38 of Virginia's 101 delegates fit that description.

In contrast, determining the level of GOP diversity at the convention is difficult; national organizers and state officials declined to provide demographic data about delegates.

Still, Republicans are trying.

GOP nominee and U.S. Sen. John McCain's campaign has made welcoming gestures to African Americans and other minority voters, including a subtle one Monday.

The first three people on stage at the convention - to lead the Pledge of Allegiance, sing the national anthem and offer the opening prayer - were minorities.

Çeşitli festivallerden 400 milyara yakın para ödülü kazanmış Uluçay'ın filmi. Şimdi onca paradan Uluçay'ın payına düşen ve "görülebilen tek şey" evinin komple halı kaplanması olmuş! Görünmeyen şeyler varsa, şimdiden özür..

22 Ödüllü yönetmen Uluçay'ın ev telefonu borçtan, cep telefonu da kontörsüzlükten kapalı. Eşi Ayşe hanım her zorluğu yenmeye kararlı olsa da, bir yere kadar..

Biliyorum, bu yazıyı okuyanların kahır ekseriyeti Ahmet Uluçay'ı çok seviyor, hatta Karpuz Kabuğundan Gemiler Yakmak'ı da bir çoğunuz izlediniz. Sorulduğunda "TRT 2 ve Belgesel kanallarını izliyorum" geyiği kadar romantik bir durum Uluçay'ı sahiplenmek.

Ayakları bedenini taşımaz olmuş Uluçay'ın. Tekerlekli sandalyeye mahkum ve bu haliyle bile tek derdi, "Bozkırda Deniz Kabuğu"nu sinemaseverlerle buluşturmak. Sinema gibi evrensel bir kavramı(Sinema=Hareketli anlamına gelir, tüm dillerde) , Kütahya ağzıyla "Gımıldak"a dönüştürecek kadar yerli ve bizden kalırken; Dostoyevsky'nin neredeyse tüm repliklerini ezbere bilecek kadar da dünyalı olan Ahmet Uluçay; hiç kimseden hiçbir şey istemiyor. The RNC Welcoming Committee, which describes itself as “anarchist/anti-authoritarian,” accused St. Paul police of trying to disrupt their protest planned for Monday, the day the GOP convention is set to begin.

Although no one was arrested, the group said police temporarily detained and photographed at least 50 people who were inside the building.

St. Paul Police spokesman Tom Walsh said they were executing a search warrant.

I onsdags blev det caféet med Anna, Robin, ST, Alice och Erika. Vi började kvällen hemma hos ST och rörde oss senare till caféet. Pappa hörde av sig tidigare för att ett av hans företag hade jubileum där. Fram till 23 hade de abonnerat lokalen, senare bara övre delen av uteplatsen.

Vi kom dit vid halv 12 och tog ett bord. Lite lustigt var att de körde bort idolgänget för att vi skulle sitta där. Efter några timmar där tänkte vi gå upp till den abonnerade delen, men eftersom de hade släppt in lite för många fick jag tyvärr bara ta med mig en person. Jag och Anna stannade där ett tag, sedan gick vi vidare till White room. Eftersom det var helt tomt där blev det ganska snabbt ett besök på donken. Sedan var vi hemma i Djursholm igen runt tretiden.

Resten av veckan har varit rätt lugn. I fredags klippte jag gräset på Resarö och åt lunch med min farbror i Vaxholm efteråt. I helgen har det varit lungt och blivit en del film.

Det känns att hörsten är på väg, något jag faktiskt tycker är skönt. Den friska och svalare luften tycker jag bara om, jag tycker inte om värme särskilt mycket.

Just nu sitter jag i stan och låser upp en iPhone, det blir en del upplåsningar när det kommer nya uppdateringar. Senare ska jag möte upp Gabriella för en fika.

Zico sonrası pek çok güzelliğini kaybeden Fenerbahçe'de futbol olarak olmasa da hala bazı güzelliklere tanık olabiliyoruz.

Fenerbahçe, Zico sonrasının dip yapan oyuncularından Uğur'un ortasına yükselen Güiza'nın kafa pasına Semih'in dokunuşuyla ikinci golünü kazandı. Bu gol sonrası Semih'in, 'goldeki en büyük pay arkadaşımındır' edasıyla Güiza'ya doğru koşup ona moral vermesi, her tür sportif övgünün de üzerinde, bir insanlık fotoğrafıdır.

Santrforsunuz; gelen her teknik adamın bir numaralı yedeği ve sadece sıkışınca sarıldığı bir ademoğlusunuz

Sonradan girdiğiniz oyunlardaki veriminiz öyle noktalara taşınmış ki, liginizin gol kralı olmuşsunuz. Yetmemiş, Avrupa Şampiyonası'nın flaş takımı Türkiye'nin en verimli ayağı olarak tüm Dünyanın dikkatini çekmişsiniz. Sonra yine annenizin ligine dönmüş ve Avrupa Kulüpler kupalarının elemelerinde bir maçta 4 gol atmışsınız.. Ardından bildik sahneler..Yine yedek kulübesine çekilmişsiniz..

Tüm bunlara rağmen hamurunuzda var olan "iyi"yi, asla "kötü"ye kurban vermemiş ve bu geceki maçta böyle bir ihtimalin asla gerçekleşemeyeceğini, görece en büyük rakibini, bir "bahaneyle" omuzlarına alacak bir yüce gönüllülükle göstermişsin..

Semih Şentürk, yerinde olsam ben ne yapardım bilmiyorum, ama sana ne kadar teşekkür edilse az, bunu biliyorum..

Maç 2 kırmızı kart sonrası anlamsızlaştı.

Fenerbahçe'nin yürüyerek oynaması, Kazım'ın lakaytlığı, Gökhan ve Uğur'daki inanılmaz düşüşler, Güiza'ın açık kalitesine rağmen golsüzlüğünün sürmesi akılda kalanlar..

Belediye 2 eksik kalmasa bu maça ortak olurdu, Fenerbahçe her yönüyle eksik bir fotoğraf veriyor. Bu fotoğrafın, lige verilen arayla giderilecek kadar basit olmadığını da ekleyelim.

Hakem Süleyman Abay'ı ilk defa beğendim. Dileriz, benzer pozisyonlarda görece "büyüklere" karşı da bu standardını korur.

Oyun Trabzon’un hakeme kurban giden Umut golüyle başladı. Belli ki suni çim hakemleri de etkilemiş. Yoksa bir hakem en kolay pozisyonda böylesi bir pozisyonu nasıl olur da görmez!?

Ankaragücü, belli ki Trabzon’un büyüklüğünü kabul etmiş. Böyle olmasa kendi sahasındaki maça kontratak düşüncesiyle çıkmaz ve 1 puana razı bir takım fotoğrafı vermezdi. Belli ki, Dünya’da şampiyon çıkarmamış tek başkent olma utancını yaşamaya bu yıl da devam edecek Türkiye. Hayır bu yıl olmalarını beklemiyoruz elbet, lakin kafaların aynı kafalar olması geleceğe dair umutları da çürütüyor.

Umut golünü “yiyen” aynı yan bayrağın, Orkun Aktaş, muhtemel ikinci Trabzon golüne de engel olduğu 22. dakikadan sonra bordo-mavililerin maçı kazanmak için yan hakemi de aşması gereği bir zorunluluk olarak öne çıktı.

Colman’ın attığı 60 metrelik gol pasında Yattara en az 20 metre geriden çıktığı için yan hakem Aktaş’ın yapacağı bir şey kalmadı ve Gineli sihirbaz klasik bir “gönderme” ile Serkan’ı etkisiz hale getirip golünü attı.
Selçuk’a ait 3 pozisyondan söz edelim. İlki gol iştahını gösteren ikinci Trabzon golündeki takipçiliği, ikincisi topla ilerleyip 25 metreden şut atma özgüveni. İlk iki pozisyonda Selçuk alkışı hak ediyor. Üçüncü Selçuk pozisyonumuzda dakika 40’da Selçuk’un El Yasa ile girdiği ikili mücadelede hakem Hüseyin Göçek Selçuk aleyhine bir faule hükmetti. İşte bu tür faulleri iyi süzemedikleri içindir ki Türk hakemliğinin gelişim hızı “kabuklukurbağa”ları bile güldürüyor, Allah da sizi güldürsün.

İkinci yarı sıcak hava dalgasıyla dalgaya alınmış olarak geçti dersek kimse alınır mı? Ankaragücü zevahiri kurtarmak adına hücum eder gibi göründü, iki şans topunda ve Mehmet Yılmaz’ın enfes vuruşlarında Tolga gole izin vermedi. Barış Memiş Gökhan abisinin al da atını dışarı vurdu, uzatma dakikasında ailecek gole giden Trabzon, Gökhan Ünal’la boş dönüp kalesinde İglesias beceriksizliğiyle gole dönüşmeyen atağı şokunu atlatmadan, bir şans golüyle ligdeki ilk golünü yedi. Sonuçta Trabzonspor 5-1 kazanması gereken bir oyundan 2-1 le üç puanı çıkarıp Ankara dublesi yaptı. Darısı İstanbul’un başına diyelim ve bağlayalım;
