第一回 「リボンバー」

* 略綬
（りゃくじゅ、英:Ribbon bar、Band）
　主に軍人が受章した勲章・記章等の佩用を略するため、代替として佩用する略式の綬のことをいう。リボンバー、リボン、バンド、略授、略章ともいう。 なお、国や時代によっては警察官や消防吏員等も佩用している場合がある。（Wikipediaより）
　簡潔にまとめると、授章したメダルを付けていては重たい為、このようなリボンバーに省略し、胸に付けている状態を指している。

　「これらはあくまで「ランボー3 怒りのアフガン」の大佐の略授をモデルに構成されています、ただ、決定的な静止画を手に入れることが大変難しく（実際、現在も困難です）、カラー画像など明細資料を「ホット・ショット2」に求めました。あくまで私の推測ですが、「ホット・ショット2」のプロップ衣装は「アフガン」の流用ではないかと思います。役名こそ違うので、ネームプレートこそ違いますが、略授の位置が私の調べた限り同じです。略授に関しては、あくまで、現在手に入る資料に基づき組まれたものです。より正確な資料が入手できた場合、略授を“組み直す”事も今後ある事を承知の上でお楽しみ下さい」

*Distinguished Service Medal （ディスティンギッシュト・サービス・メダル）
アメリカ合衆国政府に対する軍事上の重責ある顕著な功績に対して授与（授与されるのには大統領の承認が必要）。現在は国防総省でもDistinguised Service Medalを設定しており、一般に"Army Distinguished Service Medal"と呼ばれている。

アメリカ合衆国に対し優れた功績のあった人物に授与。

TOY関係というのは、その作品のファン以外にTOYファンという人達もこれらを求める傾向にあると感じています（以前こちらで話に出したSgt. pepper'sの一斉ポーズフィギュア。まったく姿を現さなくなり残念にしております）300体のうち、何体をTOYファンが手に入れているのか気にかかるところです。ちなみに今ebayを見ていたら、ロッキーバストが$500くらいでオークションにかけられていました。ああ、そうです。オークションに一儲けしたい人達も買うのでした。何かを手に入れるというのはとても難しいと感じています。

余談ですが、今ハリウッド・コレクターズ・ジャパンのサイトを見ていたら「10月5日ランボー4DVD発売」とありました。日本版が出ない今のうち、US版/UK版の発売をするのかもしれません。

2008年9月26日、チューリッヒ映画祭（開催期間：2008年9月25日～10月5日）にて、スライ・スタローンが、その長年にわたる映画界への貢献と業績を評価され、ゴールデンアイコン賞を授与されるとのこと。同映画祭ニュースは、スライがアメリカの文化となった「ロッキー・バルボア」そして「ジョン・ランボー」というふたつの伝説的キャラクターを演じ、又、その制作者として前例のない偉業を成し遂げた人物として大きく評価され、今回の授与に至ったと発表。これについてスライは自身のサイトにおいて、大変光栄とのコメントを寄せている。スライオフィシャルサイトによれば「RAMBO（邦題：ランボー 最後の戦場）」のディレクターズカットを同映画祭にて公開するとの文章も見える。又、同映画祭では「スライ回顧展」を企画。「クリフハンガー」「コップランド」「First Blood」「ロッキー」「ロッキー・ザ・ファイナル」の上映を予定している。上映予定、チケット購入方法については以下の特設ページを参照のこと。

株式会社セガは、アーケード用ガンシューティング「RAMBO (ランボー)」の稼働を、9月18日より開始する。AC「RAMBO」は、シルベスタ・スタローン主演のアクション映画「ランボー」、「ランボー 怒りの脱出」、「ランボー3 怒りのアフガン」の「ランボー」シリーズの3作品をモチーフにしたガンシューティングゲーム。プレーヤーはランボーとして、映画内のシーンを再現したステージを舞台に、マシンガンで敵をなぎ倒しながら進んでいく。

So, to anyone who ever tries to move abroad, bear in mind the following: Having a friend just as foreign and unemployed as you is invaluable, but everyone's going to think you're dating.

That's right, folks.  The respective new people in our lives, including my very Jewish landlord, and Jane's boho roommates are all pretty much convinced that Jane and I are "together."  

We get sly comments like, "Ach! your friend, she is always here, no?" and "Um, Jane ... did she move over here ... for you?" and no matter how much we digress, they're all pretty much convinced that Jane and I are doing the sappho mambo.  

The funny thing is, sometimes we behave in ways that enforce this suspicion.  No, not by having naked pillow fights and then making out, but rather by seeing each other every day or occasionally getting into arguments where it's necessary to discuss our communication faults, and how we can fix them.  

Jane's Indian paramour even got suspicious the other day when she was forced to end their phone conversation because she needed to go make me dinner.  Truly, she was making us both dinner, but I'm sure Kip is now trying to figure out exactly what kind of threat I am.  

The highlight, so far, of this whole thing, for me, was probably last night.  Jane was sitting at my computer when my landlord showed up in the middle of the effing night (again), and I paid him what was left of this month's rent.  He sort of peeked into my room and, upon seeing Jane, said the thing about her always being here with a big, goofy smile.

"I'm not always here," Jane snapped.  "It was just the two times you've come by."  Which is true.

"Oh, perhaps I phrase this wrong ..." Landlord said, literally taking a step back.

"No, the thing is, I'm really not always here," Jane insisted, acidly.  

"Oh, okay.  It is not a problem.  You are welcome here, do not misunderstand ..."

"That's great, but I'm not always here."

etc.

This plays into when I came to view the flat, and Jane was with me, and he looked from one of us to the other and made sure it was just me moving in, and that I wouldn't suddenly move a "friend" in with me.  We both assumed he'd meant boyfriends at the time, but less than an hour later, it clicked what he'd really assumed.

In fact, he's never even seen me without Jane happening to be there.  This really is a matter of coincidence, since if we're hanging out at home, most of the time, we're at Jane's pad.  And usually we're not at home; we're at a pub or a park.  We do like parks.  

So, yeah, dear readers - this blog, started by two women about their respective adventures with men, is now written by two women who are likely assumed by many to be "that hot American lesbian couple."

My mother would be so proud.

Rambo 4 all deleted scenes

私はリスニングは全然出来ませんが、船でランボーがサラに喋りまくっているところだけ判りました。これは過去、USATodayのインタビューでスライが云っていた「戦争・争いが自然な状態であり、平和が異常事態なんだ。年老いた者が争いを起こし、若者が戦場で戦い命を落としている。そしてそれについて誰も本当のことを云わない」という部分そのまんまだと思います。しかし制作段階で「ランボーはそんなにお喋りなのはおかしい」という理由でカットされたと日本の男性ファッション雑誌のインタビューに答えていた、まさにその部分ではないかと思うのですがどうでしょうか。確かに長いですね。でも悪くない気もします。一瞬「First Blood」の苦悩のラストを思い出して動揺しました…。

あとサラは裸足で走っていたのですね。劇場で確認してなかったのでショックです。破傷風が心配です。ここら辺のやり取りはまったく判りません。どなたかリスニング出来た方ありましたら、是非コメント欄につけて頂けたらと思います。よろしくお願い致します。

デリートされた部分はランボーとサラのやり取りが中心のように思えます。これが付け加わってラブストーリーぽくなるというのも有りなのでしょうか。興味深いです…、特典としてあっても良いですが、これらを組み込んだ完全版、というのも観てみたい気がします。

私はあまり詳しくないのですが、これは2002年の
「Back in the US」というポールのライブの模様だと思うのですが（違ったらごめんなさい）
「60歳で”Cant Buy Me Love”とは凄いな…」と観ていたら
いきなりスライが出てきて腰を抜かしました。
いや、本当にビックリしました。
一体どういうつながりでこういうことになったのでしょう。
本当に素晴らしいショットです。
個人的に鼻血を吹き出しまくっています。

それにしてもこの曲って40年くらい前の曲だと思うのですが
今でも同じキーで普通に歌えちゃうんですね。
…ポール、日本に来てください！！！（大泣）

Big, sensitive, 60 year-old lug Sly wraps up one film franchise (Rambo IV is on its long-awaited way!) in this tribute film. Rocky Balboa, legend of underdogs, has distilled into the current somber incarnation, one who lives completely in the past: Rocky balances his time between sitting front-row-center at his wife’s grave, meekly wedging himself into his son’s complicating schedule, or helping the could-be-doing-better housewife who, 15 years before, once spoke to him. He’s drifting until death and, as usual, trying to make his immediate world a better place. When an ESPN computer simulation pits a young, prime-of-his-career Rocky against current undefeated heavyweight, Mason ‘The Line’ Dixon, a man of half Rocky’s current age – and Rocky wins – his memory of youth receives the final defibrillation needed for him to make that desperate leap back into the ring that most real citizens would immediately label as ‘crisis-inspired.’

The difference in the title (lack of sequel sequence) reflects the story itself: a final portrait. The parallels between this film and real life are far-reaching: both tell the story of a former, fairly simple-minded, modest big guy who peeks his head above the surface one last time, seemingly just to show that not tough black dudes, not genetically-engineered Russians, not TIME ITSELF can hamper the will of Joe America. The journey is singular, meant for Rocky to prove to himself, and the film is basically the same. The only real appeal the film has is to former fans of the fictitious Italian Stallion, and indeed, the boxing match that the film inexorably strolls towards is satisfying in every way a Balboanite could’ve wanted. Stallone’s directorial flair remains mostly intact, surreptitiously tainted by modern media (the final bout that goes into its Gatorade-commercial montage sequence). The story that leads up to the bout that you went to the film to see, the fate behind the fist, is so ordinarily “Rocky” but, in my heart of hearts, never quite dipped down into concentrated maudlin bullshit – however, it was darn close, and for many viewers it undoubtedly will sink that low. The film mimics reality perfectly: in the product, as in the cinema, the draw is to see a former great contend with our generation’s heavyweights. There isn’t a curveball in sight; if you’ve ever seen a Rocky film, you know what you’re getting into. I, however, enjoyed Rocky’s decades of clumsy do-gooding, and enjoyed the opportunity to see the age-addled pugilist beat the spit out of today’s youth. If you enjoyed Sly once, and can sit through 90 minutes of “same shit, different day,” perhaps you’ll smile when Rocky dons his gloves once more. If not, perhaps you shouldn’t be making a comeback either.

The moneylender, who was old and ugly, fancied the farmer's beautiful daughter. So he proposed a bargain.

He said he would forgo the farmer's debt if he could marry his daughter.
Both the farmer and his daughter were horrified by the proposal. So the cunning money-lender suggested that they let providence decide the matter. He told them that he would put a black pebble and a white pebble into an empty money bag.

Then the girl would have to pick one pebble from the bag.

1) If she picked the black pebble, she would become his wife and her father's debt would be forgiven.

2) If she picked the white pebble she need not marry him and her father's debt would still be forgiven.

3) But if she refused to pick a pebble, her father would be thrown into jail.

They were standing on a pebble strewn path in the farmer's field. As they talked, the moneylender bent over to pick up two pebbles. As he picked them up, the sharp-eyed girl noticed that he had picked up two black pebbles and put them into the bag. He then asked the girl to pick a pebble from the bag.

Now, imagine that you were standing in the field.

What would you have done if you were the girl?

If you had to advise her, what would you have told her?

Careful analysis would produce three possibilities:

1. The girl should refuse to take a pebble.

2. The girl should show that there were two black pebbles in the bag and expose the money-lender as a cheat.

3. The girl should pick a black pebble and sacrifice herself in order to save her father from his debt and imprisonment.

Take a moment to ponder over the story. The above story is used with the hope that it will make us appreciate the difference between lateral and logical thinking. The girl's dilemma cannot be solved with traditional logical thinking. Think of the consequences if she chooses the above logical answers.

The girl put her hand into the moneybag and drew out a pebble. Without looking at it, she fumbled and let it fall onto the pebble-strewn path where it immediately became lost among all the other pebbles.

"Oh, how clumsy of me," she said. "But never mind, if you look into the bag for the one that is left, you will be able to tell which pebble I picked."

Since the remaining pebble is black, it must be assumed that she had picked the white one. And since the money-lender dared not admit his dishonesty, the girl changed what seemed an impossible situation into an extremely advantageous one.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Most complex problems do have a solution. It is only that we don't attempt to think.

5人の傭兵は誰が最後まで生き残ったのかということが一時期話題になりましたが、エン・ジョー以外の4人が助かったことが確認されています。ディアスが火ダルマになり安否が気遣われましたが、このように助かっているようです。余談ですが、右の彼を公開前の集合写真で見た時、私は彼を女性だと思っていました。

大佐のなんとなくよかったショット。私が「First Blood」で一番気に掛かるキャラは、ランボーが炭鉱に逃げ込んだ時に、それをバズーカで打った瞬間「ヤッター！」と騒ぐメガネの彼です。このシーンはDVDが曇るくらいリピートして観ました。

誰もがマネをしたであろう、このポーズ。しかも彼は子供に見えます。アメリカでのランボー公開直後、R指定にも関わらずyoutube上に10歳くらいの子供がレビュー動画をUPしたことが問題になりましたが、彼が実際の映画を観たかどうかは不明です。因みにこの複雑きわまりないスタンディーはシンガポールのそれに見えるのですが、どうでしょうか。

ブレードマガジン 2月号。ランボーは1.2.4が表紙を飾っているようですが、何故か「アフガン」だけ外されているのが悲しいメモです。

お子様向けのアイテムです。ランボーはアニメになって放送されていたようなので、このような商品が出来たのでしょう。

Ebayで誰かが見つけてきたショッキングアイテム。完全に大人向けです。

”映画「ランボー3」より”って…。これ凄いですね。
しかも「ブレックファーストに爽やかグルメ」。これは激しいと思います。

先の日本のCMパックを観たフランスのスライファンが「今私は、何故スライが日本で”神”とされるのかを理解した」と真面目にコメントしていたのですが、個人的にはブラジルにいきなり忍者が出てくる奇抜さには勝てない気がしています。
