lapit na alas kwatro sang nag-abot si grandma.  bag-o lang gid kapamangkot si lolo kung ano oras ma abot si lola kag nagbukas ang puertahan, nagsulod si lola nga nagapangayo pasensya... mga alas onse na kuno sila ka umpisa hampang golf.... ok lang, i have 3 days off so wala man problema.  kag wala pa man si tiyay nga masugat sa akon, so my time pa ko para mag relax gamay.

antis pa mag-golf si lola, ginhatag na nya akon 'sweldo'... so ginsugid ko kay tiyay nga ginsweldohan na ko ni lola.  hapit kami sa mall, i-treat ko sya tani... pero kape lang ang nabakal ko sa iya... then we went shopping.  actually, she went shopping.  tiyay encouraged me to buy something for myself... its my first salary so i should i buy a 'souvenir' from it... nga dapat gid lang kay pinangabudlyan ko man, so  i deserve something for myself. ang problema, sa kadugayon ko na nga wala naka shopping, indi na ko kabalo kung ano ang akon baklon.  wala pa ko kabalo kung ano ang akon kinahanglan... naanad na ko daan sang kung ano lang ang may ara ako nga daw wala na ko gapangita sang iban.  kag isa pa, wala ko kabalo kung ano ang mahal kag kung ano ang barato... hahaha... basi ang dumdom ko nga barato, mahal na gle...

then we passed by this shoe store... damo sale!  hmmm... lantaw-lantaw sapatos... may ara, $80+... just when i was about to buy it, tiyay pointed me to one portion of the store... last pair shoes... aha, mas barato... kag mayo man ang quality... the price of the shoes that i chose was $50... kag may 50% discount pa... so, i only paid $26 (tax included) its just a little more than 1000 pesos for a pair of skechers shoes...ok naman.. nakamura si thoto... not bad for my first pay...

This trend must die!

It's like what we're looking at is the "slobification of America."

That's right! I said it!

First, flip flops of any sort have not support for your feet.  And they leave your feet so exposed, I would wonder why you are even wearing shoes in the first place -- I guess unless you have to.

Even "dressy" flip flops aren't much better.  Case in point: When I worked at Victoria's Secret, my boss had on a pair of those dressy flip flops, slipped into a permanent fixture, and broke her toes resulting in a trip to the ER.

But flip flops really say to me is that you don't care.  Especially those of you who put on a hoodie, sweats, and flip flops because it looks like you just rolled out of bed.  That's fine for around the house, but why go out in public like that?

Now for you people who live on/near the beach, I get that flip flops are great, but eventually you have to come off the beach.  Leave the flip flops and put on some real shoes!

For the rest of you, leave those flip flops as the shower shoes you know they are and buy a pair of real shoes.  Ladies, peep-toe shoes are in style right now, so that is a nice compromise.  Gentlemen, at least put on some great sneakers from Skechers.

And for goodness sakes, let the flip flops go!

Last Wednesday, all the petom and the petam berbuka together again for the second tyme and this tyme the petoms cooking yaww. The main menu is ayam goreng berlada, sayur bayam oyster kale ribena, taugeh mcm kt chicken rice shop, telor dadar, acar, gula melaka aka dara bertuah *lol *, and some kuih2. It was great. Everybody was there. I like it. Home-cook dinner, with everybody, and him. Heheh. Thanx kakak yani kasi sepahkn rumah. Heheh. Thanx everybody for coming and thanx also for helping *for those who helps la kn =p *. Raya nnti kte ronggeng beraya okee! O yeah!

And, todayyyyy was hell a tiring day. I, mili, dot, doory, and intan went out to go shopping at Sg.wang. I bought a sling bag as wanted, a turquoise top at all rm10 shop, and a little something for boyfriend. Teheheh. I wanna buy that white heart shape bag but no budget la people. I so sgt love that bag. Can somebody buy for me plisss~. And i've looked for it the whole building and only found it at this one shop but sells it at rm40. Expensive aint it for a sg wang bag? So i didnt buy it and now i can feel that regret shadow coming bit by bit *demit! *. I should just buy that bag. Apelaa. Oke forget about the bag. I can never buy it. No more time left. My flight is on Saturday. Pfft!Before we're going to midvalley city, dot and mili go back home by public first which  left me, doory, and intan only to continue the shopping trip.

We got to midvalley around 530pm. Not bad erh? And we decided to berbuka at Sushi King! Cool right?? And i and doory thot that sushi wont be enough for us. So, i bought chili cheese fries at Carls Jr. Hehhe. Also to cross it out from my craving list. Hahah. But we were so wrong. Sushi sgt mengenyangkn okeee. I ate 6 plates of sushi which cost total of rm26. A lot kn?? I so cannot believe myself but intan convince me that its normal to eat sushi at that range. But its not that convincing at all when we see our neighbour who happens to be a guy that eat only 3 plates! Hahha. Oke say whatever you want. We knw we will get the monster award. Hahah.

After that, i bought a skechers people! My very first skechers! A new snickers! Finally! I so sgt love it! Even tho its not the one that i really want, but i still love it sgt sgt. The one that i really really want tu is out of size. They dont have my size cos somebody else bought it first :( . And since its limited edition, sooo they only produce one size for one design. Benci kn? Pfft!

Then we go back home and i karaoke myself in the car all the way back. Heheh. I love the sushi part. But not so much on the sg wang part. And totally love the skechers part. Cant wait to wear it!

Ps : For those who secretly loves mr.ninja, all are taken care of oke. I have decided to send ninja for a little holiday at abah's fish pond at the back! Hahah. Ninja will be fine. :)

A lot of things happened in our local dance scene last September 20, 2008 and one of them is Skechers Dance Battle Year 4 Kick-off Party! The night was really something (it started around 9 o'clock-ish) as you'd see a lot of the crews/groups from various schools attended. Man it was like a total hip hop fashion galore right there. You could really see the different hip-hop-ish get-up from those who attended. The event was hosted by JC Cuadrado and performances from Jimmy Marquez[sp]?, UP Street Dance Club and Sandwich.  Skecher had their annual Streetstyle and Street Dance Battle. The night got loads of cyphers going on (I'll be uploading them soon, promise!). Gotta check out the UP StreetDance Club's performance, man they're as sick as ever! (You can click on the picture to be redirected to the vid or check out the one below.

And of course, here's a shot of the annual Street Style. I gotta say, there's this two dope guys just wearing plain tees, and shorts in there and man I'd say it tops it all! Props to whoever those two are.

Tori Spelling new book,"sTori TELLING is doing very well. Its on the new york bestselling list. Congrats to her. Tori's reality show is doing well too called,Home Sweet Hollywood which airs on Oxygen tuesdays at 10pm. She also is a Spokesmodel for Skechers,giving proceeds to her favorite charity K.I.D.S. Foundation. When you buy a pair of Sketchers the money goes the the charity. Thats why the rich stay rich! The more you give the more you get back!

Hoje tive o primeiro dia de folga da semana e fui, com a Martina e com o Machu Picchu, ao Animal Kingdom!

Chegámos lá por volta das 12h e a primeira coisa que fizemos foi ir comer um pizza :p

À entrada vimos logo a The Tree Of Life, que é uma árvore artificial gigante, com o tronco esculpido, com as formas de 325 animais diferentes! Não vou colocar agora fotografias, pois prefiro pôr quando for eu a tirar ;). Esta árvore é o símbolo do Animal Kingdom e é uma das grandes atracções do parque. Nenhuma fotografia consegue fazer jus ao seu tamanho e ao seu detalhe (pelo menos, eu já tinha visto na internet imensas fotos e quando vi ao vivo, fiquei espantado na mesma pois não estava à espera de ver algo tão grande e imponente).

Depois de estarmos com a barriga cheia e antes de ver o que quer que seja, fomos directos ao Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, tirar o Fastpass, para voltar lá 1h depois e não termos de estar na fila para andar.

No entretanto, fomos ao Kali River Rapids. Tal como o nome indica, é um divertimento em que, dentro de um "barco", descemos um rio. É engraçado, mas acho que podia ser muito melhor. Ainda assim, saí de lá todo molhado, como mostra a fotografia.

Quando de lá saímos estava na hora de voltar à montanha russa. Um espectáculo! Até agora, foi o melhor divertimento em que andei na Disney. A montanha russa desenvolve-se à volta (e por dentro) de uma grande montanha artificial, a simular o monte Everest. Atinge 80km/h a andar para a frente e, de marcha-atrás, 64km/h. Não tem nenhum looping, mas tem uma descida vertiginosa, de onde se tem uma linda vista (ainda que por muito pouco tempo) de todo o parque.

Depois de sairmos de lá, fomos fazer o Safari. Durou 20m, achei engraçado, mas parece-me que podia ser bem melhor. Vê-se alguns animais tipicamente africanos (rinocerontes, hipopótamos, zebras, girafas, macacos esquisitos, pássaros estranhos, etc. etc.), mas parece-me que o leão era falso e um dos elefantes também. Tenciono lá voltar para tirar algumas fotos e para confirmar se o leão que vi era mesmo de brincar (o elefante eu sei que era, apesar de ter visto alguns verdadeiros, mas o leão não deu para perceber. Ainda assim duvido muito pois, supostamente, o leão estaria a dormir, mas à volta dele haviam demasiados outros animais para aquilo ser, realmente, um leão a dormir. Da próxima vez eu confirmo!).

Quando saímos de lá fomos até à The Tree Of Life, ver com mais pormenor todos os detalhes!

Da árvore para o Dinosaur. Gostei bastante desta atracção: dentro de uns carrinhos, andámos por uns trilhos que simulavam a história do evolução e desaparecimento dos dinossauros na terra.

Do Dinosaur para a... montanha russa! Segunda vez, novamente no meio da carruagem :p

Saídos da montanha russa e, constatando que o tempo de espera sem Fastpass era de 5m, demos a volta e voltámos a entrar: 3ª vez! Ficámos nos últimos 2 lugares da carruagem e, para mim, foi a melhor das voltas. Tudo se sente mais do que quando se vai no meio: quer a andar para trás, em que se é o primeiro a fazer todas as curvas e descidas e subidas; quer a andar para a frente, em que se tem uma grande perspectiva de quem vai no resto da carruagem, principalmente durante a grande descida, em que ainda estámos a começar a descer e alguns já estão lá bem no fundo :p.

Depois desta 3ª vez, decidimos que estavamos acabados por hoje e regressamos a casa.

Ao fim da tarde fui à Skechers, mas ainda não havia lá o meu número para os "Crocs".

Antes do jantar ainda tive tempo para ir dar um mergulho à piscina.

Em casa da Martina e da Liliana, cozinhei uns bifes com um arroz branco e o Shawn fez uns ovos mexidos. Embora eles (o Filipe e a Martina - jantámos 4, eu, o Filipe a Martina e o Shawn) só elogiassem os ovos do Shawn, o meu arroz não estava mau de todo e os bifes estavam bem bons. (isto porque, da última vez que fiz arroz esqueci-me do sal e ficou a saber a nada). Entretanto a Maria, uma das raparigas que fez o curso comigo, apareceu por lá a pedir-me para trocar os dias de folga e, sendo assim, amanhã trabalho e folgo na sexta feira (o que é bom, porque parece que amanhã vai chover).

Fotografias do nosso dia de hoje hão-de chegar entretanto ;) (o Machu Picchu depois de sair do Animal Kingdom foi trabalhar para o Magic Kingdom e levou a máquina com ele. Como só saí à meia-noite, fotos só amanhã).

Hoje de manhã comecei o dia cedinho, às 9h30m já estava a fazer "clock-in" no Wilderness Lodge (o meu sítio de trabalho favorito).

Ao chegar recebi o meu horário de hoje: 7 rotações de vigilância de piscina, 2 rotações de jogos com crianças, 2 rotações para ir até ao Contemporary Resort resolver um problema de horários que surgiu entretanto (ir, de barco :p), 2 rotações na doca e 3 rotações de arrumar esplanadas e verificar se os postos dos nadadores-salvadores tinham água. Pelo meio, tinha 1h para almoçar.

A manhã passou bem depressa, sempre a trabalhar e, depois de almoço, tive a melhor parte do horário: 2 vigilâncias, 2 jogos de miúdos, 1 doca e 1 "A/C Roaring Forks" (que significa que tenho de ir à esplanada desse sítio ver se está tudo em ordem e se não há toalhas pelo chão).

O meu sítio preferido continua a ser a doca. Lá não se faz muito (embarca-se e desembarca-se passageiros uma vez por outra) mas tem a melhor vista, é o sítio mais fresco (pois é em cima do lago) e dá para conversar tranquilamente com quem lá estiver.

Hoje apanhei um rapaz do Haiti (do qual não me lembro do nome). Estivemos os 30m da minha rotação da tarde a trocar impressões sobre a América e, segundo ele (que vive cá já há uns anos), metade dos Americanos nem sequer sabem quem foi o seu 1º Presidente. Falámos de alguns assuntos interessantes, entre os quais as grandes diferenças que existem neste país (por exemplo, o facto da filha da possível futura Vice-Presidente estar grávida com 17 anos vs os 18 anos de idade mínima para se combater pelo país vs os 21 anos de idade mínima para se entrar numa discoteca e beber álcool).

Outra coisa engraçada, que eu já tinha suspeitado, mas que ele me confirmou como sendo 100% verdade, é o facto de por aqui, os dias serem todos iguais: segundas, quartas, sábados ou domingos, é tudo a mesma coisa e é frequente ouvir-mos perguntar em que dia da semana estámos (e nós também o fazemos frequentemente).

O rapaz (que deve ser um bom pedaço mais velho do que eu) ainda me esteve a contar alguns pormenores sobre o Haiti e ainda me ofereceu a sua casa, caso me apeteça ir lá passar umas férias.

Cerca das 4h30m, um dos Coordenadores (pelos vistos, o mais mal-encarado de todos) apanhou-me e disse-me duas coisas: não posso usar as minhas sapatilhas no trabalho, porque têm o logo da Adidas de lado (já ando com elas à 15 dias e é a primeira vez que alguém se lembra de implicar) & "you have to shave"...

Hoje de manhã não me apeteceu fazer a barba e, como tinha feito ontem, ainda estava tão curta que nem se notava. Pelos vistos a meio da tarde já se notava qualquer coisa e obrigaram-me a fazer a barba lá nos balneários, naquele exacto momento, com uma lâmina descartável... Só me faltava 1h para acabar o dia e, mesmo assim, tive de ir ou ia ficar com uma anotação negativa na minha "Record Page".

Saí às 6h do Wilderness Lodge e, depois de tomar um banho em casa, fui com a Martina ao Premium Outlet comprar uns Crocs. Os verdadeiros Crocs são horríveis e custam $30! A Skechers tem uma espécie de Crocs, que mais parecem sapatos de corrida, mas que são mais confortáveis e, principalmente, mais baratos ($19, por estarem com mais de 50% de desconto) que são os que vou comprar amanhã (hoje não tinha o meu número, só chega amanhã).

Voltei para casa e fiz o jantar para 3: eu, o Filipe e a Martina. Arroz branco (este saiu pior, estava cozido e não estava colado, mas não sabia a nada) com bifes de perú, de porco e salsichas italianas.

Amanhã vou trabalhar das 11h30m até às 20h, novamente no Wilderness Lodge.

Mr. Cox,  or "Big" Cox (as we later found out he liked to be called becasue of his pervert sexual tendencies) was looking for an editor desperately, he needed to edit a project for a Czech celebrity who was a "friend" of him.

I got a strange feeling when I met him. He was wearing a cap, jeans, expensive snickers and a posh t-shirt. And of course, had his famous SONY PD-170 in his hand (famous because he shows it all the time to impress girls).  But that was not the problem at all. It was more the way he talked and behaved, like someone trying to "glow". But as long as i got introduced by a friend, i gave him a chance (later on i would found that my friend didn't really know the guy).

He told me that the project was about Madonna's Concert in Prague. So it seemed very interesting and challenging for me, although he mentioned he didn't have much money to pay, but in the upcoming projects that he had in store there would be plenty of it, so that a little effort now will compensate me later. Later on, we found out that he always uses the same story to get people to work almost for free for him. Very sad.

He also mentioned that he needed an editor because his previous partner, a guy called Harry, sucked. That he had almost ruined his "SKETCHERS" video by over exposing the camera. So he didn't want to work with him again. Later on, I would have a chance to meet Harry, really nice guy but very stressed out by his graphics job. He seemed very relieved to "let Tim go away". I didn't really understood why at the moment, it would take a little time. Might it be that Harry didn't want to work with Tim any more instead of Tim not wanting Harry?

I agreed to work on the project, but when I saw the footage was nothing like I had expected: actually it was about a dance performance at the T-mobile party before Madonna's concert. Nothing to do with what I had understood "the Madonna project would be", where was Madonna?. It was more like a promotional video for his friend than any other thing.  Anyway, I was not busy at that time so i decided to work on it.

The guy, Tim, seemed okay,  very posh and very amateur, but not a bad person. But the more I got to spend time in the editing room with him, the more I thought there was something wrong going on. Every time he received a phone call he mentioned that : "he was in the editing studio" but we actually were at the film school where I teach. That sounded strange to me, but didn't give it much importance.  Actually, the thing that proved me that he didn't know anything about what he was talking about was the fact that he left to England before I even finished editing and when he came back he loved what I had done "that was what I had in mind, we make a good team, dude!" Of course, afterwards he showed up to everybody what "he" had done as a producer-director (while being in England?) Strange.

Anyway, my first work experience with him wasn't that bad, I just got the feedback that an amateur guy on his 40´s wanted to become a director-producer (as he calls himself), but didn't have any experience, so needed help. Also that Tim cox was an extremely insecure showing up person, who would lie to people in order to keep his "fake" status of creative important celebrity producer.

1st pair: Converse Chuck Taylors Double Uppers in Tan and Black but they came with green and white shoe strings. They were on sale from 46.99 to 24.99. The inside layer is tan and I think I may be able to colour it with a marker or something and then find some silver laces.

2nd pair: A pair of Bjornal Black Slip ons from Rack Room Shoes on sale for like 14.98 from 29.99

and finally the

3rd Pair: A pair of black La Vida from Skechers. They were on sale at the Skechers store for $9.95 from $25.00. The ones I am linking to are in the same style but not the actual shoe.

I have no idea if I am going to keep any of these but they are to try out and see if they will work at all.

She's already getting a paycheck. Nice.

This deal marks the first male celebrity to make SKECHERS’ roster since 2002 (actor Robert Downey Jr. was the first male face of the global brand).

With exclusive worldwide rights to advertise footwear using Cook’s image through December 2009, SKECHERS will feature the 25-year-old singer in various SKECHERS’ styles through a campaign they say will reflect his personality, interests and appeal.

The campaign launches Fall ‘08 to coincide with the “PopTarts American Idols Live! Tour 2008,” and the debut of David’s first post-Idol album on 19 Recordings/RCA Records.

The SKECHERS Cook campaign will include print, outdoor and in-store ads.

Let's hope this goes well for David.
