our police force is only good for one thing - taking bribe, they themselves sometimes do the aforesaid crimes..

murder and rape are enjoyed and celebrated by the News channels and newspapers ..

more murder and rape = more TRPs...

Two days ago, somebody shot killed a women journalist, and guess what...the news channel is all up in arms..

Few months ago, an young girl called Aarushi was killed in her own house by someone....police found no evidence to prove this crime either..

just around one year ago, another young girl called Scarlet was found raped to death in the silky beach of Goa...police first said she was drowned....then said she was killed - but no evidence of the culprit is with them

lots of years ago, there was this incident - the death of a sister Abhaya in a christian convent in Kottayam, kerala...After local police shrugged off the case as a suicide, CBI was called into investigate the murder...and they filed a strange report to the court....a very strange report saying...sister Abhaya was murdered but her murderer couldnt be identified because of no evidence.

this is India of modern age...we have lots of educated people...we have lot of techies, we have more money than in any year for the last 200 years...but, there are lots and lots of problems

whats the problem of India ?

its simple to answer that...everyone..from politicians to police to common man...

well..this state of my country is'nt very surprising to me...after all, we killed our super hero - a man who lived to promote peace and love....Gandhi.

Now i wish ... India was still ruled by British...i know even the Britishers wont give India a "Ram Raj"..but they will make sure that common man is given better prospects than what he gets now under our own men's wicked rule.

for now, Indian police is in a state of quagmire...only one thing can help them out of this task of investigating an unending plethora of murder and rape cases- Legalise these..

 Esta sección la abre la nueva línea de LG LCDs Scarlet de 42’’ (rulea tanto como su "tocaya" Scarlett Johansson!!!):

 Le tengo desde hace un par de meses ya, la elegí por encima de Samsung, Sony y Sharp, obviamente no fue por precio, bueno, en el caso de la seria mas nueva de Samnsung si, por que es estupidamente cara, aunque me hizo babear por lo estático de la TV.

 Esta TV es la mas grande que he tenido hasta el momento, y es la 2nda Full HD (1080p) que tengo en casa, antes había tenido una Samsung de la serie Tullipan (De las primeras FullHD).

Lo que más me ha gustado:

• Su calidad de imagen es increíble!
• Su función True Motion a 120 Mhz
• Estéticamente es impresionante
• Configuración "INCIAL"
• Gamma de Colores
• Excelente respuesta para videojuegos (PS3, XBX360) y TV en HD (BRay, HDDVD, etc.)
• Procesamiento de Audio con Salida Óptica TOSLINK (INCREIBLE)
• Peso Ligero

 Lo que no me ha gustado:

• Su control de volumen es pésimo, muy bajo en algunos, y a niveles altos distorsiona
• El “Contrast Ratio” dice ser MUY amplio, sin embargo hay que dedicarle demasiado tiempo para encontrar los valores óptimos para obtener negros profundos, sin perder lucidez en colores.
• Su Precio
• No tiene salida de audio para audífonos. (La uso mucho cuando juego de noche).

 En resumen, la LG Scarlet es una televisión para todos aquellos fanáticos a los videojuegos o el cine, siempre y cuando tengas las fuentes de alta definición necesarias para disfrutar de una experiencia completa, su costo solo se ve justificado en algunos features de la TV y no en todos sus aspectos, en definitiva estas pagando por lo bien que se ve, aunque lo impresionante de su marco rojo queda totalmente opacado puesto que queda contra la pared (La tengo montada).

 Me impresiono la separación de audio que hace cuando la fuente de audio/video viene de un cable HDMI, puesto que de manera natural envía la señal de audio intacta, por lo que con un solo cable TOSLINK puedes mandar esta señal a tu receptor de Home Theater y disfrutar de una experiencia extraordinaria.

 Cabe destacar que fue elegida como la selección del editor del mes de agosto por PC Magazine, así que es un hecho que la calidad esta ahí, pero es para los entusiastas de la tecnología, por que habrá que investigar y probar varios aspectos antes de obtener la mejor imagen disponible.

Scarlet memang keren konsepnya. Dengan $3,000 bisa punya kamera kecil tapi resolusi 3K, yang sudah lebih cukup untuk produksi film di Indonesia! Hebat! Tapi, workflow untuk video 3K masih belum jelas, dan lagi si Scarlet ini nggak bisa ganti-ganti lensa. Apakah bisa dapetin DOF cetek yang lebih "film-like"? Ataukah cuma jadi kayak handycam dengan resolusi super tajam? Kayaknya sebelum bentuk barunya diumumkan (baca berita tentang perubahan desain Scarlet), rasanya sih belum menarik amat. Scarlet sudah pasti nggak interchangeable lens, jadi kalau mau pakai lensa 35mm akan harus beli 35mm lens adapter lagi. Hmmm... Males ya. Toh saya nggak pengen bikin film serius.

Canon 5D MkII untuk harga segitu jadi menarik bagi saya karena saya dari dulu pengen punya kamera DSLR, lalu ini dapat kemampuan video yang keren pula (udah liat kan contohnya). Jadi, kayaknya, saya akan milih ini karena saya bisa punya kamera still-photo yang mantap, plus kamera HD yang interchangeable lens tanpa harus invest di 35mm adapter. Cukup bawa DSLR, bisa bikin macam-macam. Kalau saya beli Scarlet, tetep belum punya DSLR dong. Nggak bisa bikin foto cantik istri tercinta.

Dah, udah ditulis jadi legaan. Kembali ke realita saya yang sedang bangkrut dan belum ada kejelasan proyek berikutnya. Dan mengkhayal yang lebih membumi aja, Nikon D90.

Menurut saya, klip itu memang cantik dan jadi showcase yang cukup memukau dan mengangkat nama 5D MkII di kalangan videografer. Dioperasikan oleh seorang Vincent Laforet yang ternyata lebih merupakan fotografer ketimbang sinematografer, hasilnya cantik sekali. Menurut beliau, hasil yang kita lihat diambil dari raw footage tanpa koreksi paska produksi, hanya sekedar editing. Tapi yang pasti, pembuatannya pun sangat profesional dengan peralatan yang lengkap. Bagi yang bingung kenapa footage kelihatan stabil, minim efek jello dan rolling shutter, jawabannya adalah penggunaan gyro stabilizer di kamera ini. Soal lighting, sudah jelas klip ini menggunakan lighting yang serius.

Buat saya sendiri, gambarnya sangat amat glossy. Khas HD1080p, masih terlihat walau yang kita tonton sudah diperkecil sampai 1/4 ukuran aslinya dan memakai kompresi H.264 kalau nggak salah. Mungkin karena pengaruh content, saya seperti melihat sebuah iklan yang serba glossy ketimbang tampilan yang film-ish seperti D90. Ibaratnya seperti demo reel HD yang suka dipakai untuk memperagakan LCD HD di mall-mall. Ada yang bilang ini karena 5D MkII merekam dengan 30p sementara D90 adalah 24p yang lebih seperti film. Tapi apa iya beda 6 frame per detik membuat yang satu lebih terlihat seperti film dan yang satu lagi lebih seperti video? Nggak tahu lah. Yang pastinya, video ini bagus, tapi nggak membuat ketertarikan saya pada Nikon D90 berkurang.

Lagipula, dengan harga $2699 body only, daripada melirik Canon 5D MkII ini mendingan menunggu pengumuman Scarlet dari Red yang katanya ada di kisaran $3000.

The past few weeks have been an interesting ride for Jim Jannard and his new venture RED. Canon and Nikon both released DSLRs that shoot HD video. Granted the Nikon has major CMOS rolling shutter issues. But the Canon shoots beautiful video. Which leaves RED to reconsider the future of Scarlet.

I just hope that future includes HDR. HDR is all about capturing huge dynamic range. I would be happy with 2k resolution if it had the dynamic range of HDR. As far as I know there is no camera that can shoot full motion 24 frame per second HDR. HDR would allow immense latitude in creating some amazing visuals. I'm sure they could pull it off. In the meantime I'll have my fingers crossed. Or maybe the mad scientists at Ikonoshop will beat them to it!

Apa yang terjadi? Membaca pernyataan diatas bahwa pasar telah berubah, banyak yang menebak bahwa ini diantaranya karena kehadiran dua kamera DSLR yang sudah mempunyai kemampuan video HD dengan harga yang cukup menggebrak. Tapi, sebetulnya kehadiran Nikon D90 dan Canon 5DMkII sebagai sekedar kamera alternatif eksperimental ini jauh dari ancaman serius bagi Red dan Scarletnya. Ke dua DSLR ini masih sekedar coba-coba dan belum bisa dianggap kamera video yang serius, lah wong intinya mereka itu kamera still photo kok. Tapi, cukup menggembirakan juga kalau perombakan Scarlet ini berarti Red semakin kompetitif.

Waktu Red One keluar, gebrakannya luar biasa dan konon sampai-sampai cukup membuat Sony dan Panavision jadi dipaksa berpikir lagi akan pasar. Memang, dibanding lainnya Red One luarbiasa kompetitif, baik dari kemampuan maupun harga. Bisa dikatakan, harganya sangat miring! Tapi ya, semiring-miringnya Red One, tetap saja masih bukan benda 'murah'. Setelah Red One, kamera Red berikutnya yang paling dinantikan adalah Scarlet yang memiliki resolusi 3K dan dikatakan harganya hanya sekitar $3000. Luar biasa murah! Sekarang, harus diakui kehadiran DSLR berkemampuan HD video macam Nikon D90 dan Canon 5DMkII yang harganya dibawah $3000 tentunya akan menarik sebagian pengimpi Scarlet untuk mencoba video lewat DSLR. Dua DSLR bervideo ini banyak batasan, tapi minimal sudah interchangeable lens. Red kelihatannya merespon dan tidak mau tinggal diam.

Salah satu dugaan bahwa Scarlet akan diubah menjadi interchangeable lens sudah dibantah oleh Janard. Minimal kita sudah tahu pasti, Scarlet tetap dengan fixed lens. Katanya, ini adalah karena pertimbangan ukuran sensor yang berbeda, tapi kita dihibur dengan pernyataan bahwa Scarlet akan dipersenjatai lensa paling gahar di kelasnya. Bagaimana kelanjutannya? Yang pasti sekarang sedang heboh di forum-forum. Dan kalau memang bisa punya Scarlet dengan harga sekitar $3 ribu, pastinya banyak yang mau. Asal sabar aja, karena secepat-cepatnya Scarlet baru akan bisa rilis pertengahan tahun 2009 dan sudah pasti ngantri lagi seperti Red One. Jannard mengatakan kali ini volume produksinya dinaikkan jadi tidak akan perlu menunggu lama seperti Red One. Semoga bener ya. Dan kalau saya sih, semoga murah.

The Holy One so wants to open our minds to reason with Him. It seems to me that His heart must break at the sight of sin in the hearts and lives of His people. I pray that I will never forget that He is the Holy One of Israel.

“Reason” seems to be a forgotten thing with the people of my day. They are more concerned with emotions, feelings, amusements, comforts, entertainment. Anything that requires thought is a nuisance that we can live without in the minds of some of my people.

It is, however, time for God’s people to begin thinking of their spiritual plight. Reason is a good thing. God is telling us to think, to reason with Him. The idea is to see His way of things. It is good, if we are going to walk with God, be godly, that we think His thoughts and not our own.

O, how our sins must be like scarlet to Him. How He longs to forgive and cleanse us, and to make us as white as snow. He desires, longs, to make what is crimson, to be as wool. He is a gracious God. He is the Holy One.

The Holy One desires what is best for His people. He has promised the good of the land to all who are willing and obedient. If we refuse and go our own way there only awaits destruction.

Scarlet was the most awaited BLCD since the pairing was announced. Well, at least to those who knew that You-kyan and SugiTomo are close enough friends to practically be considered lovers in the seiyuu world. Of course, I only learned that myself when I read sunglass-san's post on Random Seiyuu Fangirling. I'm going to brutally honest in this review about my critical opinion on Scarlet. I'm going to sound harsh, but in truth, I really did like this drama. Same with DEADSHOT really. But I was ... kinda disappointed. (I always end up disappointed in things I expected too much from, sigh)

Summary:

Scarlet:

The main story, Scarlet, is about Akio who's dating a really beautiful guy named Ryou. He's beautiful yes, but Ryou is a really pathetic guy who fails at being a human being. Due to his personality, despite having Akio, Ryou is unable to turn down the other girls who ask him out. Akio tolerates it because he loves Ryou so much that he refuses to lose him even if he isn't number one. One day, it turns out that there's a girl that Ryou was considering marrying and after being threatened by said girl, Akio cuts his ties with Ryou and completely ignores him whenever he tries to get near. It gets to the point that Ryou actually tries to KILL, yes KILL, Akio because he decided that if he can't have Akio then no one can.

Fortunately, Akio lives and recovers. Ryou stops cheating on him and becomes a faithful puppy seme. Happily ever after. Hur hur.

One night Stand:

Harumi is always watching Toki in the short time they have in the elevator together in the morning at work. He doesn't call out to him. Harumi just watches. Because, after all, Toki is a really important (and far-away) person. One night, Toki shows up at a gay bar where Harumi was. Harumi takes the opportunity to invite Toki to a hotel; a one night stand. That was enough for Harumi but the next day, Toki greets him good morning. Afraid, Harumi ends up taking the elevator at a different time from then on to prevent from seeing Toki again. Eventually, Toki shows up at the gay bar again ... and happily ever after as well. (By the end of the drama, Harumi is able to greet Toki good morning, which is totally cute)

I'll start with Scarlet. I was surprised. As in really surprised when I heard SugiTomo's voice. I mean, whoa. It's like a failed beta version of Mihashi's way of speech. Honestly, I didn't like it. I'm glad SugiTomo didn't have much lines or I'd be annoyed. But he's character was really cute, I'll give him that. I probably would have liked it more if Sugita used a voice more like Ed's bat-version (Hakushaku-sama series) added with a pathetic tone instead of a self-conceited one. You-kyan was great. Akio was another "passive wife" type but okay, I'll stop from complaining. If only Akio was a little more strict on Ryou, we'd have a relationship that's really close to Abe and Mihashi except Ryou isn't voiced by Yonaga and if Ryou were voiced by Yonaga, I'd have real live Abe x Mihashi and I'd die of a heart attack. But I digress ...

Voice-acting wise, I was disappointed, which is sad because I was looking forward to this for the seiyuu. But the story and characters were great. Beautiful and I would have enjoyed it more if SugiTomo's voice in this wasn't so annoying.

One night Stand, on the other hand, was greatness. I love stories surrounding one night stands and this one was a beautiful one. Harumi was extremely cute. I love you Suzuki Chihiro, you're a totally cute uke and I want more of you. And Hatano impresses me again with his ability to voice cool characters. He's such a childish dork in RL that I forget how good he is at portraying cool types. I loved everything about this oneshot, so I'll stop here. It was awesome and I enjoyed it more than Scarlet.

You-kyan and SugiTomo disappointed me again. What?! Just normal talk? No insanities? I'm sad. I'm really really sad. Hatano and Suzuki were great though. I loved it when Suzuki brought in his Tarot Cards and Hatano was all excited over it. So damn CUTE!

Overall

I said everything I could possibly say. I enjoyed the drama but there was something lacking in both SugiTomo's and You-kyan's voices. Hatano and Suzuki were awesome though. So do I recommend this? Yes I do, because of One Night Stand and Scarlet's story. More One Night Stand because it had story and great voices.

Please don't shoot me. (I'm probably reviewing Kaoru Maniac next, look out for that one)
