Discovering God's Will for our lives is what each of us should strive for daily.  That's better said than done however.  When we have an "extra challenging" calling to a possible vocation, therefore, the busyness of our lives demands a extra-ordinary move to "remove yourself" to more intense "discernment" process like the seminary here.  Am I called the the priesthood?  the religious life?  permanent diaconate?  married life?  single life?   Even in the seminary, however, there come distractions that keep you from exploring the question honestly with yourself.  I guess that's why we have Spiritual Directors to help clarify your personal puzzle while the Seminary Formation Team help your puzzle grow into its fullest potential, assuming everyone involved is looking at the right picture.  Discernment and formation may sound simple and easy, but I don't think either word should be used if the puzzle is truly taken seriously ... serious enough to stop calling it a puzzle ... and embrace it as "MY LIFE" that God drew just for me ... with images I don't want to see ... that the Lord reveals as I become open to accept ... and ultimately live for His glory ... knowing it brings joy ... while short-sightedly focusing on the fuzzy gaps that fear clouds in doubt.  [this last line took an hour to write]

Today's feast day for "Guardian Angels" reminds me of yet another voice I have access to but don't give an ear to often enough.  Here is the Guardian Angel Prayer:

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
To whom God's love commits me here,
Ever this day, be at my side,
To light and guard, Rule and guide.
Amen.

  I woke up feeling miserable. I had a tasty but moody breakfast and a horrible mug of tea.

 Asking myself what was going on in my body (everything working fine boss) head  (brain running a little too fast - mindful meditation needed) or my heart  (yes,  here’s the leak) I stopped licking my  wounds, gave myself an internal hug and  crawled out of my cave.

 After reading a few passages from the writings of Baha’u’llah I  immediately felt a  little better, inspired to see my life from a  different and more far-reaching angle.  One of the passages was this  (from The Hidden Words):

 “Out of the wastes of nothingness, with the clay of My command I made thee to appear, and have ordained for thy training every atom in existence and the essence of  all created things.”

Pondering on this, I realised that the tests I am currently facing (feeling disempowered due to a lack of understanding and poor communication) are actually for my training, not my destruction – as I had previously, miserably and a little pityingly viewed them to be. 

 As God has made ‘every atom in existence’ to be for our training – then that includes people,    right? One Person is made up of thousands of atoms – all working together to vibrate as a  human being. So rather than getting pulled down and disempowered by another person  (atoms) , we can chose to see that person as a training ground or an exercise, where we have  the opportunity to strengthen our spiritual muscles – our higher nature shining out as we  move closer towards God, our final, incredible goal. The lesson? Well, I think if I want other people to understand and respect me then I need to become a better communicator. That's the goal of this particular training exercise. I can't expect anyone else to train for me. These are my spiritual muscles, after all.

I also said some Baha’i prayers and felt strengthened. I felt more able to move forward. One of the prayers I said included this wonderful passage,

“I beg of Thee to guard this handmaiden who hath fled for refuge to Thee, and hath sought the shelterof Him in Who Thou Thyself art manifest (Baha’u’llah), and hath put her whole trust and confidence in Thee…”

The morning spent  sorting out my study (while listening to beautiful music from the ‘Hang Playing Hedge Monkeys’) I claimed my home as my sanctuary again, rather than a place of silent protest as the fortress of ‘stuff’ pretended to protect me from the outside world. Having friends over on the weekend was my motivation but I also wanted to start caring for myself. Us carers tend to get left out on the care side, as others often misread our vigilant (and  often selfless) care for our loved ones as a message that we are invincible and everlastingly competent, without the need for kind words, encouragement or recognition. I would like to point out that this is not the case. We need love, kind words and support on an emotional and spiritual level. If no one cares for us and we fall apart, who will care for the ones we care for?  

So, reminded that I have Baha’u’llah as my guide and protector, a much more powerful and eternal bodyguard and teacher than my stack of papers (now neatly filed), and every atom in the universe is there to train my spiritual muscles, my wounds are slowly starting to heal.

Protector: Reclaiming the Throne was developed by Undefined, an indie development team. Protector: Reclaiming the Throne is a tower defense game with a focus on unit upgrades. Protector has only two basic units; a mage and a warrior but both of them can be heavily modified. Both units have strengths and weaknesses. But these two warriors can be configured into many different sub-types such as archers and rogues.

Protector 2 was released a few months after the original, but Protector 2 is definitely better than the first version. The game doesn't offer a new graphics scheme, it's basically just a bigger, better version.

¿Sabéis que podemos preparar nuestro propio protector labial en casa? Solo necesitamos unos pocos ingredientes muy fáciles de conseguir.

Do you know we can prepare our own labial protector at home? Just need a few ingedients very easy to find.

¿Qué necesitamos?

• 3 cucharaditas de cera virgen rallada
• 3 cucharaditas de aceite de coco
• 6 gotas de aceite de almendras dulces
• 3 gotas de aceite esencial de naranja (opcional)
  

Calentamos la cera y el aceite de coco al baño maría hasta que se haya disuelto pero sin que llegue a hervir.

Retiramos del fuego y añadimos las 6 gotas de aceite de almendras dulces y el aceite esencial. No utilizar nunca más cantidad de aceite esencial ya que en mayor concentración puede irritar nuestros labios. Removemos bien, vertemos en un molde pequeño y dejamos enfriar.

Una vez endurecido ya podemos aplicar la crema sobre nuestros labios. Gracias a su contenido en aceite de almendras veréis como los labios agrietados se curan en unos días.

What we need?

• 3 teaspoons of  virgin grated beeswax
  
• 3 teaspoons of coconut oil
  
• 6 drops of sweet almond oil
• 3 drops of orange essential oil (optional)
  

Heat the beeswax and the coconut oil in a double pot until the ingredients will be disolved but be carefull, not must be boil.

Apart and add 6 drops of sweet almond oil and the essential oil. Never use more quantity of essential oil because can irritate our lips. Stir, pour into a little mold and cool.

When it has hardened, we can apply on our lips. Because the percent of sweet almond oil, lips cracked heal in a few days.

When I was a ten years-old boy, I can say that I am a naughty child. I am always seeking playmates in all of our neighbor's houses. You can't blame me, because I have one younger sister and she likes Chinese garter and I don't like it. And the youngest of is a boy who is addicted in watching Tom and Jerry everyday and every night. I am always out of our house and having fun with my friends through playing rubber bands, coins and slipper games.

My father worried about me when I am coming home late at night. So, my loving parents decided to buy a dog for me. They said that the dog is for me to have fun and will serve as my little bodyguard as well. They named him Brownie.

At first, I really do not like him because Brownie was so very playful and always put his wet tongue to my skin. But one day, he saved me. I was coming home that afternoon with Brownie from playing on other streets, suddenly bad little naughty boys come to me and wanted to have my 2,000 fixed pieces of rubber bands. Fear covered my whole body. I don't want to give my rubber band toys because I waste effort and time to win all of it. Seemed like Brownie read what's on my mind, Brownie started to shout with angry looks, "Arf, arf...".. And the bad children ran away.

Starting that day, I was the one who feed Brownie in his breakfast, snack, lunch, and dinner. I am also the one who took him a bath and searching him when his gone sometimes.

Brownie is not just my pet dog but Brownie became one of my closest friends ever. Brownie is not just my protector but he is also The Family's Bodyguard.

I opened my eyes and found myself within a dark cavern. The coolness of sand beneath my feet as I realized I was centered in the middle of a ring of glowing crystals. Each crystal was about a foot high, giving off the only light in this cavern. The rocky walls of the cavern reached upwards into the clear night sky, the stars serenely sparkling.

I felt as if I was being watched, and looking into the dark crevices of the cavern, I could see many eyes, watching, waiting, trying to find a way into the circle. My thoughts were to step out of the ring of crystals and leave the cavern, but just as the thought crossed my mind, I heard a deep voice surrounding me.

"Stay within the ring of crystals, for they can not harm you there."

I then looked up to the night sky and saw a huge beast with dark black wings circling around like a hawk circling the sky for its prey, when suddenly this beast sent down a shower of sparkling energy, that completely saturated me, washing over me like a most powerful orgasm, yet much more intense. Wave after wave of this intense energy filled me, as these sparkles, these shimmering lights of power consumed me. This creature, this beast, this god or demon, filled me with the most powerful energy I have ever felt in my life.

When the showering of energy stopped, I could sense his loving protection, yet I could also feel his wrath like no other. His strength, his power, his ferocious soul was full and furious. Death was his goal for certain entities that had sent these creatures lurking in the cavern after me.

Within seconds of the pure, sweet energy shower, this god/demon beast swooped down so fast into the dark crevices of the cavern, and slaughtered all within the darkness. The blood splattering everywhere, and as fast as he flew into the cavern, he was gone, as I heard his voice echo.

"Close your eyes and rest."

I did just that. I closed my eyes, and slept. When I awoke, the glowing crystals had dimmed, there were no lurking eyes within the shadows, and the beast was no where to be found. I felt quite drained from the whole experience, yet at the same time a calm, peacefulness surrounded me.

I was bewildered for several days, and could not get the images out of my mind. What is this beast? A God? A Demon? A creature that has immense powers to kill in an instant, yet shower me with such loving energy and protection.

I still do not understand it, and maybe never will. I know though it was the most intense experience I have ever encountered with energy, and one I will always remember. The calmness and peacefulness this god/demon has given me, I accept and embrace.
