Tot mijn grote spijt is het hier wat stilgevallen daar ik een tijd lang niet thuis ben geweest en wanneer ik wel thuis was mij bezighield met andere, stoutere dingen. Gelukkig post ik nu snel een excuuspost de dag voordat het een maand geleden is dat ik iets heb gepost (een zogenaamde eerredder). Eerredden. Wordt vrij belangrijk geacht in onze samenleving. Maargoed, ik denk dat het gedurende de zomermaanden zowiezo wat rustiger zal zijn hier omdat ik een redelijk volzet programma heb (oa werken bij Coca-Cola) en er zullen ook een aantal mensen zijn die op reis zijn waardoor mijn blog minder gelezen zal worden (en ik het dus minder nodig acht jullie te entertainen).

Nog een laatste mededeling: Bij deze wil ik Nick* veel geluk wensen met zijn nieuwe (meerderjarige!) vlam en zijn nieuwe woonst binnenkort.

* Ik denk dat Nick toch wel beschouwd kan worden als de meest enthousiaste lezer die de meeste respons geeft, daarom dat ik hem wat naar voren breng, als een soort bedank.

I have nothing against Nick personally, he seems like a nice guy. I do however have a problem with just about everything Nick does.

This is another major problem for me, the proselytizing. His whole deal is that if you're in a shitty situation in life, you can fix it, but first you have to submit to gods will accept god as your lord and savior, or else your life has no purpose and you will rot in hell for all eternity, that's how much god loves you. I get angry every time I hear something like this. Listen, you can have a wonderful, purposeful and moral life and be an Atheist, agnostic, or any other non-christian. All the tools are within you. You just have to dig deep to find them. It really bothers me that Nick uses his disability to trick poor people convert people to his way of thinking. In a way it's a modern day freak show, with the added threat of eternal damnation if you don't go see the attraction.

Trust me people, there is nothing miraculous about Nick. He's a normal person with some unique circumstances. All of that strength comes from him and nowhere else. Look within when you need strength, not the sky, the results will be amazing.

It’s no wonder that the The Jonas Brothers are the latest cover models for Rolling Stone, as photographed by Max Vadukul.

With a wildly popular tour and a new record expected to sell millions, Nick, 15, Joe, 18, and Kevin, 20, make up “The Clean Teen Machine”. Here’s an excerpt from the mag’s feature article on what differentiates each of the JoBros:

“Kevin, the oldest, is the extrovert, chatting up bus drivers and security guards, crouching on his knees to greet little kids at shows… Middle child Joe, who resembles a prettier version of the actor Peter Gallagher, is the quieter Jonas, with a wild alter ego revealed onstage, where he swivels his hips and twirls a mike stand like a lightsaber. ‘I’m really inspired by Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury — the big frontmen,’ he says. ‘I heard Jagger does an hour on a treadmill before every show.’ … Nick, by contrast, is the Jonas Brothers‘ boss — the spokesman, the best musician, the chief songwriter. -Let's start off with Apple. Wouldn't you know that Canada has laws that forbid Apple to sell Apps with anything but a credit card. Apparently the same rule applies for the 2.0 upgrade... despite the fact I was able to give them $20 using a iTunes Card in January for that upgrade. I'm just glad I knew this before buying a $50 card...

Yeah, I actually didn't know. Fun.

-Now for Nickelodeon and/or YTV. I'll admit it. I love Avatar : The Last Airbender. I bought Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD... before they came on iTunes for about half the price. But that's not why I'm annoyed. The series just ended on Nick in the States but the final episodes are rolling into Canada right now through YTV. Unfortunately, none of the latest episodes are available at iTunes Canada. Not even the ones that already aired. And I missed them. Fun.

-The Doctor has arrived in iTunes. You can download series 1 to 3 of the new Doctor Who. Well, you could if you lived in the States. Despite the fact that they fund the damn thing, neither CBC or BBC offer Who in Canada or the UK. So much for our tax dollars at work...

*sigh* And what do we get? American Gladiators. It seems that it'll be joined soon by other MGM shows on iTunes Canada, with entries for Dead Like Me (which rocked) and In The Heat of The Night appreaing, although no shows are available as of yet. Well, at least we got something, right?

Prime Radio Group general manager Rick Chapman said he was pleased to appoint D'Arcy in a bid to help increase the station's Olympics coverage.

It's nearing 8:00 on a sweltering night in Phoenix, and as the temperature mercifully dips below 100 degrees, a trillion swelling hormones have collected at the Cricket Wireless Pavilion to experience the Jonas Brothers. Among the undersize pilgrims in attendance are Jordan and Jackie, a pair of blond preteens from nearby Scottsdale. Moments ago, they met the Jonas Brothers in person at a "meet and greet" photo op, and now they stand red-cheeked, quivering and sobbing uncontrollably, as if they've been told that Disneyland just burned down, with the world's supply of kittens and baby pandas trapped inside.

"Omigodomigodomigod," Jordan says, holding her arms aloft and shaking her palms in the air.

"I got tingles in my body all over the place, because I. Just. Met. Nick. Jonas," Jackie says.

"I've wanted to meet them for, like, my whole entire life," Jordan says.

How old are you?

It's like this everywhere. At a Jonas Brothers concert in Dallas, I meet a 17-year-old girl named Lauren who hosted a red-carpet premiere party at her house for the brothers' recent Disney Channel movie, Camp Rock. ("Even my girlfriends who weren't into it, we made them dress up," she says.) I meet girls from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, one of whose dad drove them seven hours to the concert ("He wore an iPod"). I meet many fans who, like the Jonases, wear "purity rings," vowing chastity until marriage. I meet a precocious 11-year-old named Hannah (not Montana) from New York. "We have to teach people to like the Jonas Brothers," she instructs me, finger wagging. And why is Hannah from New York in Dallas?

"To see the Jonas Brothers," she says. "Duh."
Back in Phoenix, the brothers Jonas — Nick, 15, Joe, 18, and Kevin, 20 — are preparing to start their show. All three boys stand less than five-feet-ten, and each possesses a fantastic mane of dark-brown hair. Joe's hair is ironed flat. Kevin used to flat-iron his, but now it's curly again, and he's got thick sideburns; Nick, the brothers' chief songwriter and leader, has always kept the curls. Under Nick's fitted brown linen suit is an insulin pump, adhered to his lower back. Nick was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2005 and must carefully monitor his blood-sugar levels; the band's mammoth bodyguard, Big Rob, carries an insulin shot at all times in case of an emergency.

The backstage hallway quickly fills with members of the extended Jonas family. There's the backup band — guys in their 20s, some of whom have been with the JBs since the days when they rattled around New Jersey playing grimy clubs. There's a swarm of female string players in tuxedo shirts hired to play onstage. There's the band's clean-cut co-manager, Phil McIntyre, and there's Kevin Jonas Sr., the boys' brown-haired, soft-spoken 43-year-old father. A former Christian musician and church pastor raised in North Carolina, Kevin Sr. serves with McIntyre as the band's co-manager.

The group forms a circle and clasps hands. "Two quick things," Kevin Sr. says. "We brought four people from the grass all the way to the front row tonight, so they're pretty excited." This is a Jonas norm — plucking die-hards from the nosebleeds and giving them the best seats in the house. Kevin Sr. tells the band to look out for a girl's softball team that just had a 13-year-old teammate killed in an ATV accident. "They're right at the end of the catwalk," he says. "One of them is wearing the shirt the girl was going to wear tonight."

Kevin Sr. dips his head in prayer. "Heavenly father, we just pray that you'll bless us this time, let it be fun and safe and exciting," he says. "Thank you for all the people that are here. We were at 60 percent just a week ago, and it looks full. Lord, we just pray that every person will be encouraged in Jesus' name."

The band members and crew holler. "Bring it in!" they shout. Hands are joined and raised to the ceiling.

"Livin' the dream!" they yell.

Big Rob escorts Nick, Kevin and Joe to their places. Suddenly, the lights go dark, triggering a roar in the 20,000-seat Cricket Wireless Pavilion that can only be described as primal. And it is, in a way. The neuropsychiatrist Dr. Louann Brizendine, author of the bestseller The Female Brain, says the release of dopamine in a screaming teenage girl's brain upon seeing her pop idols is like "injecting heroin." Being with other screaming girls, she says, only makes the effect wilder.

"There's a thing in biology we call synchrony," Brizendine says. "Basically, one girl affects another affects another, and it becomes a domino effect building up to that level of hysteria. They are getting all these brain hits of dopamine, and also oxytocin, which is a love-and-bonding hormone. Teenage girls have so much estrogen, which just catapults the level of dopamine and oxytocin in the brain, creating this sort of ecstatic rush in themselves and others. It truly is a state of ecstatic love."

Tonight in Phoenix, as the Jonas Brothers kick off with their buoyant, guitar-driven anthem, "That's Just the Way We Roll," it sounds a lot like ecstatic love. It sounds like clean, wholesome fun. It also sounds like money.

E por falar no msn, hoje estarei falando sobre aquelas declarações de amor (que parece até humor) que são feitas nos locais mais impróprios... No orkut e no msn (Focaremos mais o msn).

Queria deixar bem claro que não quero que ninguém venha abdicar-se do teu direito de expressão (garantidos nos incisos: IV, V e XIV do artigo 5º da Constituição Federal), mas gostaria de deixar um recado para as pessoas com deficiência mental cognitiva que acham que estão "por cima da carne seca" (tipo: Ah eu tenho uma pessoa que gosta de mim, ah estou a mando amando de alguém, eu vou gritar pra todo mundo que eu gosto  blá blá blá e etc).

Há quem diga que as frases no MSN estimulam a leitura (ou até mesmo determina o gosto do individuo), isso se sua vida for estimulada pelo suposto sentindo de cada frase (ou o quer que seja) que teus contatos escrevem por lá no local onde deveria estar o nome do infeliz. Há também casos de curiosos, um exemplo é quando você esta ouvindo uma musica (e a opção para mostrar informações da musica estiver ativada), ai vem alguém e pergunta, "Powz, que cd é esse dae????; que tipo de musica é essa ae???" ai você responde e a pessoa diz "acho que eu vou fazer download tbm, pelo jeito parece ser muito bom!" Isso só pq ele viu o nome da musica e banda... Sinceramente, neste caso, acho que poderia chamar isso de intuição ou sexto sentido... ¬¬... Tem tbm os casos despertam a curiosidade, exemplo: Quando você vê aquele seu amigo(a) que não pega ninguém com uma frase do tipo "Estou alegre por tu estar comigo"... Ai quando você vai ver, ele esta expondo seu lado religioso.... Agradecendo a presença de Deus em sua vida... Mas retornando ao primeiro exemplo, existem casos exóticos na net.... Como por exemplo esse peste ser humano, que estava vendo ou ouvindo uma coisa a parte.... É o fim dos tempos mesmo.... HUAEuAAUEEUaeuaehuaE

O que mais me preocupa é o fato de ninguém reconhecer que o msn esta fazendo o mesmo papel de um pára-choque de caminhão...

Não tenho nada contra as pessoas que tentam fazer do próprio Messenger um outdoor, tentando exercer uma boa ou má aparência através de frases do tipo "nova criatura".

É lógico que não posso esquecer tbm das pessoas idiotas que ao ver um emoticon acabam adicionando-o nem que seja com uma letra.. "A" por exemplo... Nisso, quando essa praga pessoa envia uma mensagem para você, parece que tu esta em um infeliz jogo de decodificação, e se vc  quiser realmente saber o que ali esta escrito.... você vai levar mais ou menos uns 30 segundos clicando de emoticon em emoticon, sendo que você levaria apenas de 3 a 5 segundos para ler e entender se estivesse escrito normalmente.

Teve um dia que foi até engraçado... Tinha uma colega que estava falando (comigo e com mais 5 contatos numa janela do msn) que se ela ficasse de prova final ia ser "foda", só que quando ela digitou isso (foda), surgiu um emoticon de um casal fazendo sexo, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Só que uma das pessoas que estavam na conversa, estava acompanhada dos pais que são cristãos, eles estavam olhando o extrato bancário e etc... AHehaEuheaeuheaueahEUEHuEAHEAUHAEUEHuEAHEUAHeAU

Mas voltando a falar dos nomes, sempre achei engraçado o que as pessoas fazem com seus nick's, sendo que como dito em uma mensagem que navega pela WEB, o espaço ‘nome’ foi criado para que você digite oO NOME que lhe foi dado na sua certidão. aHUehuaEhUAEHAUhe Porque desta forma, fica mais fácil para localizá-lo, pois é só seguir a lista de contatos que estará de forma ordenada evitando assim ter que ficar clicando em cima dos nicks pra descobrir que ‘Vendo Abadá do Chiclete e Ivete’ é o ChuckBoy, ou ‘Cansei de ser enganado’ é o Dona Ester AUeehueahuaeHAEUaeHUAEHEUEHAEUhAEUAHEUAEHUAEHAEU

Como vocês podem ver, eles dizem que Deus é bom em contabilidade, mas esqueceram de dizer que Deus é supremo, onipotente, onipresente e etc, mas a melhor parte da brincadeira é que normalmente o nick diz muito sobre o estado de espírito e perfil da pessoa. Portanto, toda vez que você encontrar um nick desses por aí, pare para analisar que você já saberá tudo sobre a pessoa…

Então pessoal, é isso! Quando quiserem escrever alguma declaração ou qualquer coisa do tipo, existe um campo destinado a esta ação, vá em opções ‘digitem uma mensagem pessoal para que seus contatos a vejam’ ou melhor, fica bem embaixo do campo do nome!! Hmmm... where should i start? Well, I met Sam when i was in Grade four. i didnt really talk to her. Actually i didnt talk to her until i was in the middle of grade seven. Now we are besties :D
I love how we use big word in are daily conversation like innuendo, affermative(geeks) and others... I also love how we are in to comic book( me and nick mostly but we will get you into them). I like hanging with you espicially when we go to the school or just play on your Wii or the Sims 2 but we always find something to do and we never get bored. But when we do get bored we usually do some stupid stuff like make movies or act like creepers...like when we made the killing vedio or the online radio thing:S wtf where we smoking weed or something i guess...Other fun times...Playing DDR, Lips of an Angel... you will have to get another mat and i will play against you and you will win but that will be okay:D ...hmmm what else to say??? i dunno Ahh yes Sam i also like how you help me with my homework like when we came over to your house and we studied in your basement and when i lost all my reviews and u sent me yours...i will make record when i am older and i will put you in there cause your are a saint to me..Ohh 'nother good thing came in my noggin how weird you are listing to all your weird music like Prince, MJ and all the other Child melester/ Creepos...but thats the way you are and thats the way i like it...but then again you do listin to some good music like some Nickelback and The way I Are...i think you listen to that song...but i dunnoo...Sam the letter your writting about me better be good cause this is some hard stuff this is...OHHH you also read some good books like Harry Potter and A series of Unfortunate Events. By writing this i found that we have a lot in common and i dont know why we didnt hang out before that??? Notes...i love it when you write random notes to eachother...some times its expected and others...its random. but where cool like that. When were older wher are going to hang and you will help me with my school work even though you wont know wtf were doing..and were going to best friends till were 10000000 years old and we will have dinner parties meet for lunch, help each other for meratal problems (espicially Nick :S) and do all those thing. Basically if i were to sum you up in a paragraph to some that hated you and i had to wright something that would make them like you it would go something like this:
Samantha Marie Edgar is one of the coolest people i know. She is funny,but sometimes earnest, artistic, interesting, smart and very good at talking pictures as you can see in the ones shown. Basically if you dont like Samantha Edgar then i dont like you because that means your a boring person and you dont like uniqueness because thats exactly what Samantha is and if you dont think so you can kiss my ass.

Nicholas Béchard: 

Nick is my twin brother and probobly one of my best friends. We have so many good times togather that most people proboly don't even know about. Like the Thriller dance, making music togather, playing video games, reading comics and other things.

To be honest, I didn't expect much support in response to my complaint which I outlined in Tags Gone Wild. But come to think of it, the reason I didn't know what to expect is because I've never had to send in a complaint before. Seven months with WordPress and not a single issue. That says a lot for these guys, in my opinion.

Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know that Nick @ WordPress has been just great about helping with this problem. He's followed up periodically throughout the day and I just received another email from him. He wanted to let me know which of my posts he could still see in the public listings and to ask if I was having trouble with any others. That was very cool!

I appreciate the prompt attention that was given to this matter. They could have easily ignored me, but they took my concern seriously and treated me respectfully. I get the feeling we have a really nice bunch of people behind the scenes here at WordPress!

Flash. Ges is giving me a Tarot reading. He warns me about falling into old behaviour patterns, about getting trapped by Toronto. Morgan and Mike Bailey join us and we sit at Spadina and Bloor and talk about ourselves. I forget to call my sister.

Flash. I am picnicking with my friend N. I am going to Chicago.

Flash. Now N is my lover. We are having an affair: her boyfriend doesn't know. I am struck by the suddenness of it all. It feels like I was just hanging out with Ges and Morgan and Mike a minute ago.

Flash. I am not going to Chicago.

Flash. N and I are at Futures, talking (heh) about communication. It's easy to state facts, I say, but difficult if not impossible to convey a nuanced emotional reaction to those facts, or at least to cause a similar reaction in the reader or listener; one almost needs a sort of telepathy. N points out that that's what art is for. Or sex. If we can't capture ideas straight on, maybe we can reach around and catch them from behind.

Art or sex: but I'm still struggling with my art, and neither of us are telepathic yet.

Flash. I burn my fingers on Morgan's censer.

Flash. I wake up next to N. Weren't we only friends just a little while ago? Where has the time gone? I begin to perceive a sequential unfolding of reality. This is the constant changing of the Trip. This is time speeding by while the moment remains eternal.

Flash. It's Monday evening, and I was supposed to leave Saturday morning. Ges warns me about getting trapped. I am not going to Chicago. N and I are lovers. N and I are friends. I forget to call my sister. I burn my fingers. I am back in Toronto.

I wake up next to N. Where has the time gone? We are on the beach in the west end, and it is night time. The sky and water meet seamlessly at an invisible horizon. Someday soon, in a flash, I will be back on the road - maybe headed east to Montreal, maybe south to Florida and New Orleans, maybe west through the Rockies. But for now I am in Toronto, in the incommunicable present, and this too is part of the Trip.

Is was and ever shall be, world without end, etc. Amen.

Congrats due to the World Team. They outplayed us from start to finish. We did, however, outdress them. While the Seattle Team sported smart high-end shirts from Greg Norman and Tiger Woods . . .

the Worlds appeared to have picked their uni's in the dark. Their Saturday whites from Antigua featured scales on the back and had players dubbing themselves "Team Sockeye." As bad as they were, they may have been eclipsed by Sunday's disco brown bubble jobs. Not sure what the thinking was there, but either one has to go down among the ugliest uniforms in sports history.

F1 teams Toro Rosso and BMW-Sauber may be interested in accommodating rising GP2 driver Sebastien Buemi in the near future.

The Swiss daily Le Matin quotes BMW boss Mario Theissen as praising the developing talents of the 19-year-old, who is currently a test driver for Red Bull.

With Sebastian Vettel moving on to the senior team in 2009, speculation has linked Buemi's name with the vacant seat at Toro Rosso.

But Theissen may also be interested, particularly following Buemi's run of good form in GP2, the F1 feeder category.

"When he was in formula BMW, he was very young but immediately very fast.

"He can still make the odd mistake, but I am following the GP2 championship very closely and I find that Sebastien is making consistent progress."

He would not, however, be drawn on suggestions that Buemi is at the top of the list for a BMW-Sauber contract, perhaps initially as a test driver.

"Let's see how his season progresses, but I am not saying no."

Neal's View: With Hiedfeld under pressure there may be a seat at BMW for next season. Unless Kubica signs a new contract there will be a spare seat at BMW next season. A Swiss driver would satisfy the needs of the Swiss-based team, and Swiss sponsors, Credit Suisse. Toro Rosso have a spare seat after Sebastien Vettel was promoted to the Red Bull squad and the Red Bull-backed racer could be next in line.
