Es bleibt zu hoffen, dass Apple die MacBook-Preise tatsächlich auf unter 800€ drücken wird.

Und vielleicht bekommt die MacBook-Familie sogar ein neues Mitglied ?

Något jag hoppas på är att Apple tar tillbaka sin remote som standard så att man slipper betala massa extra för det. Alla bärbara datorer som säljs idag säljs med remote och det är ett fantastiskt verktyg när man ska visa presentationer. Sen skulle en ny version av Keynote självklart inte sitta helt fel, rykten gör redan gällande att Jobs redan visade upp en ny version av iWork på Apples förra Special Event, då vissa av övergångarna inte finns tillgängliga i dagens Keynote. Som vanligt så gäller devisen, den som lever får se!

La verdad es que la calidad dejaba mucho que desear, parecía impreso por la típica impresora a color que todos hemos tenido, granulaba mucho, pero aún así mola mucho para darle un toque distinto al cacharro y, de paso, protegrlo de rayones. Con la gran ventaja de poder ponerlo y quitarlo un puñao de veces sin que deje de pegar.

Pues bien, me acaba de llegar uno para el macbook (y jodidamente rápido, me lo mandaron antes de ayer desde Italia):

Llevaba bastante tiempo detrás de uno, pero los 45€ (con gastos) que piden en la web duelen mucho, así que el otro día, después de ver que en eBay los vendían por 25€ no me pude resistir.

La calidad de impresión a mejorado muchísimo y apenas se nota granulado en el dibujo. Y, sobre todo, el portátil da la nota y no se le ve la raja de la pantalla xD

A falta de pocos días para la Keynote de Apple no es de extrañar que salgan fotos y vídeos de todo tipo mostrándonos ese nuevo diseño de los portátiles que Apple presentará. En este vídeo podéis ver un modelo del supuesto MacBook, aunque más bien parece un MacBook Air sin la palabra "Air", pero os imagináis este modelo por 800 € ?

1. Paperbacks

Coming from an old-school, ex-commie intelligentsia family, Mum taught me well. I read literary fiction, travel fiction, short stories, political philosophy, historical non-fiction, you name it. I don't read romance, sci-fi, fantasy or crime. Never had a thing for genre fiction. I don't read hardcovers, and try to stick to second hand bookstores, opshops and markets when buying paperbacks.

And. I refuse to buy books from Borders.  

2. Macbook

I was given my first Macbook from my parents when I was admitted to law school, and there's nothing quite like these pearly white machines. I hate the fact that Apple's changing more and more of their laptop computers to a silver case, it's so wrong. Macs = white. Period. 

3. Pink Sony Cybershot

I'm not a tech person, and this camera's getting old, but I've come to love it, it matches my phone, and the colour of my bedroom wall, why not?

4. Frankie

If you love beauty, fashion, but hate the way Vogue and Marie Claire has dumbed down, airbrushed and theorised vanity, Frankie is the mag for you. Beautifully obscure women grace their front covers, indie bands write their own snippets inside, the photography is brilliant in its simplicty, the layout is uniform and neater than most magazines out there. But most of all, this magazine has substance, it doesn't just resort to giving films and promotional books 4 stars, instead it reviews biscuits based on dippability, or brands of toilet paper rolls based on butt texture. When Frankie talks about relationships, it doesn't teach you how to suckle on a banana, it asks you what gave you your first glimpse of the grown up world, what you stole from your best friend's lunch box... Okay, perhaps not the epitome of substance as far as Times or the Economist are concerned. But in between the tongue-in-cheek columns are some pretty serious stuff about social issues and admirable Gen Ys as well. Flove it. I'm taking out a subscription for Xmas. 

5. Lucas Paw paw ointment

You can't get this overseas, and I mock all those who don't own at least 6, randomly thrown into different handbags, wallets, pencil cases, bathroom cabinets, under car seats, on top of the TV, behind your bookshelf, inside your pillow... I mock you all!

6. Moleskines

Back when I was a teenybopper, Morning Glory stationary, with their barf-worthy English inscriptions ("the fresh breeze of Spring makes me think of you, forever in love..."), made me excited, motivated me to become superorganised. These days, I'm supposed to have better class and taste, and have hence moved on to Moleskines. Something about these black leather bound journals that inspires infinite possibilities. I own 4, increasing by 2 per year (one diary, one notebook for class). 

7. Ipod Touch

What kind of self-respecting Gen-Y wouldn't own an Ipod? After the demise of my first iPod (death by dropping into a public toilet, it's a thrilling tale, I wish to do it justice some other time), I bought the (then) newly released iPod touch, and haven't looked back since. 

8. Tennis

Because if I didn't mention it, you could have never guessed my obsession with tennis. I can be subtle like that, just like I can be subtle about who my favourite player is. 

OT: 

One of my friend's messenger nick is reading: "In Tennis Nation, Djokovic approval ratings rival President Bush's in France." :D I was told this comes from Wertheim.

Is official. Apple has confirm a Oct. 14th event for their notebooks. For all of you that is waiting to get a new MacBook just holdout for a few more days.

ok so there has been so many rumors going around online about the new mac laptops...i have tried to keep up with them all as i'm looking to buy my first Mac laptop....so the rumors are set to be settled on Oct 14th when apple launches their new laptops!!! i cant wait to see them and cant wait to get one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so heres some pictures that MacRumors has on their website...if all these pictures are real the new Mac laptops are going to be amazing!!!!!!

The new event will be releasing new Mac Notebooks & Possibly iMacs.

This event is on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Apple's campus in Cupertino.

It is at 10 A.M. PST!

I hope they will release some awesome computers!

It is also rumored that Apple will be releasing an $800 MacBook.

It has not been Altered!

O iTunes, desde há algum tempo, dá-nos uma ajuda a mantermos as nossas colecções completas, ao completar a importação de um CD com a capa do álbum, importada directamente da iTunes Store. Mas nem sempre, especialmente para música portuguesa, ou menos conhecida, isso acontece, pelo que lá temos de ir nós à procura de uma imagem do álbum (ou fazer um scan, mas isso dá muito trabalho :P). Mas e se mais tarde reparamos que a capa é errada, ou que encontramos uma imagem com melhor qualidade, e quisermos substítuir essa capa? Na teoria, arrastaríamos a capa nova para o campo 'Artwork', e está o assunto resolvido, certo? Errado! Continuamos a ver a capa antiga...

Isto acontece pelo modo como o iTunes faz a gestão das capas definidas pelos utilizadores. Não há nenhum defeito, nem nenhum mau funcionamento do programa. É preciso é compreender que o iTunes permite que tenhamos várias imagens armazenadas no campo 'Artwork', pelo que sempre que adicionamos uma imagem, ele não substitui a já existente, apenas acrescenta a nova.

Este é o processo que eu sigo para substituição de imagens de capa, e penso ser o mais "lógico" e simples.

Este era o aspecto de um álbum ao qual eu queria mudar a imagem de capa:

Não estou muito contente com esta imagem, aquele rebordo branco não "encaixa" muito bem. Por isso:

PASSO 1

Selecciono todas as faixas do álbum em questão, clico com o botão direito do rato (ou Ctrl+clique) e selecciono 'Get Info' (também pode ser efectuado com Cmd/+I, para aqueles que como eu preferem utilizar o teclado), para aceder às informações das faixas.

PASSO 2

No campo 'Artwork', coloco um visto, e pressiono 'Ok'. Isto vai fazer com que o iTunes elimine todas e quaisquer imagens que existam na informação dessas faixas.

PASSO 3

Repetimos o passo 1, e de seguida arrastamos para o campo 'Artwork' o ficheiro de imagem que pretendamos utilizar (como alternativa, podem fazer copy/paste, se a origem do ficheiro for uma página web), e voltamos a pressionar 'Ok'.

E pronto, tenho toda a informação do álbum tal como a desejo, e acabei de melhorar um pouco a experiência de ouvir um álbum, seja através do iTunes ou num iPod/iPhone. Afinal de contas, a capa de um álbum é parte integrante de uma obra, e não deve nunca ser ignorada. ;)

Just earlier today, I was at the Apple store checking out some stuff, and I was talking to one of the employees there.  We got to the topic of MacBooks, and one of the things he mentioned was - you guessed it - Aluminum MacBooks this Tuesday.  I don't know if this is common knowledge (although I haven't seen much on it) or if it was a slip by the employee, but it certainly fits with the rumors.

So check back here on Tuesday night to see if the "inside information" was correct!  If it is in fact Tuesday, this will certainly be a huge announcement.  Stay tuned!

Mardi, ça y est, c’est confirmé.

Apple refait une Keynote sur ses nouveaux laptop, enfin d’après les rumeurs et l’affiche officiel pour la Keynote.

Les nouveautés sont, toujours d’apres les rumeur bien sur, un nouveau MBP ( MacBookPro) avec des caracterisques s’approchant des iMac :

*Puces Penryn Core 2 Duo : 2.4GHz, 2.66GHz, 2.8GHz, et 3.06GHz.
* 2Go de RAM (MacBook); 4Go de RAM (MacBook Pro).
* Disques Durs : 160GB — 320GB.
* Écran Glossy widescreen TFT. MacBook: 13.3-pouces (1,280×800 resolution); MacBook Pro: 13.8-pouces (1,366×768).
* Integrated NVIDIA graphics system.
* Clavier “à la” MacBook air pour toute la gamme
* Batterie extra large occupant toute la largeur de la machine
* Pas de Blu-ray
* Tout en aluminium, blanc, noir et alu
* Fermeture magnétique sur toute la gamme
* Plus fins sur les bords, à l’instar du MBA

Ce qui moi me  « choque » c’est les ecrans des MBP : 13’’3 !!!

Alors que les MBP actuel ont des ecrans des 15’’ et 17’’ …

Ensuite pour les MB en plus des caracteriques (celles plus haut) on a une video mais qui pour moi est un gros fake mais bon :

Ja. Ich tendiere dazu, allem viel zu starke Gefühle zuzuordnen. Ich kenne das eine und das andere Extrem. Dazwischen nur einige wenige. Meine Gefühle schwanken von lieben ins Hassen und ich kenne noch um die vier positive Gefühle dazwischen. Wie kann es sein, dass ich so schnell hasse aber doch recht lange brauche um jemanden oder etwas zu lieben?

Andererseits, kann ich sehr wohl zwischen nicht wirklich mögen, blöd finden und so weiter aufzeigen. Aber ich glaube für mich ist es einfacher, direkt zu hassen. Dann muss ich nicht überlegen. Das ist Hass, damit beschäftigt man sich nicht. Verstanden?

Danke, jetzt habe ich schon wieder eines meiner Probleme gelöst ohne das zu wollen. Schon wieder ein Problem veröffentlicht, auf das ich eigentlich nicht zu sprechen kommen wollte. Aber was solls? Das ist ja auch meine Therapie.

Und für Leute, die es schlecht finden, dass Gefühle veröffentlicht werden. Lest es durch und denkt drüber nach. Oder lest keine Blogs. Danke.

Tuesday the fourteenth of October we will know what’s going to be the future of the MacBook. But at the moment there are some suspicions and very realistic rumors about the future MacBook.

What can already be confirmed is that the new MacBook will have a unique production process. Some say that it will be cut out of a block of aluminum as is done with some parts for very exclusive cars. With high speed water or sandbeams a design is cut out of a chunk of aluminum. This will give the MacBook a more solid look and will provide more strength for the case. Do not fear that the nice design will disappear, as we already noticed with the new Imac, aluminum is a fine material combined with the designing skills of Apple.

A more remarkable rumor is that there will be a cheaper version of the MacBook. If this MacBook will have the same production process and the same quality of the other MacBooks is not sure, but it could mean that the ceiling that Mac OSX is facing would disappear and Mac OSX will then be able to get the top marketshare and destroy windows. But the guys over in Redmond should not fear, Mac OSX will still only be distributed on Apple computers, which means that the other manufacturers will still use Windows as their main system. So it could be possible that you can get a MacBook for 1.000$ or €800. Keep in mind that the specifications for this MacBook may be not so spectacular.

Apple will also point the attention to gaming. Mac OSX is still an unknown platform for most gamers and that’s why Apple will include a more powerful (Nvidia) graphics card in all new models. This is another blow in the face for Microsoft, since windows is the only decent computer gaming platform at the moment.

The new MacBook will probably still appear in stores this year with Mac OSX Leopard as operating system. This means that you will still have to wait for a Mac with Mac OSX 11.6 “Snow Leopard” till January 2009.

We also don't know what will happen with the MacBook Air.
