"Let it Fly" the first single of Trick Trick's album "The Villain" has hit iTunes today. The track features Ice Cube & Lil' Jon. The production is also handled by Lil' Jon.

Trick Trick, a Detroit rapper, will have his album released in 2008 and according to an unsourced article in Wikipedia, some of the production of the album will be handled by Dr. Dre & Eminem. Updates to the validity of the article as it becomes available.

I don't really know who reads this blog, aside from some good friends. I really hope the average reader of this blog has interests outside of fashion and is not all consumed by, to put it lightly, sh*t you wear. Hell, I'm glad that people not into fashion read this blog. Ideally, I would want our regular readers well versed in Chappelle Show. Not that we demand much of our readers, but Chappelle Show was a cultural phenomenon. Chappelle rewrote the way we saw comedy as he teetered the thin line between what was clever commentary on race and being racially insensitive. Although he never fell on the side of being insensitive, he consciously pulled out before his situation might have compromised him. That's why the average reader should know who he is, what he did, and be familiar with the whole Chappelle Show catalog. He entered fame like a shooting star but his time in the spotlight burnt out just as quick. Luckily, we get to relive our favorite moments as the Chappelle Show crew, unfortunately without Dave Chappelle, talks to King Magazine about what was going behind the scenes. Here are a couple of snippets that I took from King Mag's "The Rise and Fall of Chappelle’s Show"

Donnell Rawlings (comedian, actor; Ashy Larry): Ten minutes before we go shoot “Player Haters’ Ball,” my character didn’t have a name or anything. I went to hair and makeup, told them to give me a Jheri-curl wig. Then I went to props, and I asked for a Moët bottle with an activator on it so I can just squirt my hair down. They didn’t have that, so they gave me the aerosol can. I’m spraying it, people laughing and shit, three minutes before shooting. I didn’t have a name, dialogue or anything. Neal told me to make my name up. I walked past the mirror like twice, looked in it, and said, “Man, I feel beautiful!” That’s when “Beautiful” was born.

Murphy: I knew it was something [special] when we took it over to my baby brother [Eddie Murphy’s] house. I was like, “Check out this Rick James sketch.” And we watched it and he was silent throughout the whole sketch, so I thought it was horrible. Soon as it stopped playing, he just said one word: “Genius.” And then busted out laughing like, “Play that shit again!”

Murphy: It was real fucking hard to keep a straight face looking at Dave wearing that Prince outfit [Laughs]. He had motherfuckers screaming. Every time they said, “Cut” everybody just busted out laughing. Later on, the word came back that Prince said to Dave, “It wasn’t that I was a great basketball player, it was that Charlie was horrible.”

Brady: I curse. I’m not squeaky clean. [But] I didn’t like the term, “Slap a ho.” I’ve got a daughter; there’s something about [that] that’s too real. So we came up with the whole line “Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?”

Lil Jon: We were in Miami for the MTV Video Music Awards, in 2004. I’m driving down the street, and somebody is outside screaming, “Yeeaah!” I look over, and it’s Dave’s ass. So I jumped out of the car. Just imagine—the average person don’t see Dave Chappelle and Lil Jon walking down the street. That’s when I think Dave really saw how much people say the shit to me. People were just bugging the fuck out. The next day, on the awards, Dave said, “Jon, I’m sorry I did it to you.”

Murphy: I was doing an interview in a restaurant [in 2004]. My table was near the window and school was letting out. These kids were maybe 8, 10 years old. They stopped in front of the window and started screaming out, “Charlie M-u-r-p-h-y! I’m Rick James bitch!!!” That was deep.

Something for you to ponder; almost every single rap video has a scene with women slowly walking tow

Something for you to ponder; almost every single rap video has a scene with women slowly walking towards the camera. Case in point, enjoy the following.

Slightly after Rick parks his car, most likely to 'Hustle', we see some young women approaching his car, possibly to Hustle with Rick. Now the most interesting thing is that walking at that speed, it would almost take them a full two minutes to approach the car.

Next up we have the incredible Akon. In this delightful beach romp video the first thing we see is a buxom, nubian delight followed by...wait for it, HER WALKING SLOWLY.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm definitely a fan of women walking towards me, but when it takes them like five minutes just to get to my car? Screw that, I'm out of there and going someplace else, hopefully to a place where slow motion doesn't strike whenever someone starts to strut.

Finally we have a video that exemplifies this fact perfectly. The whole video is people walking slowly. It really doesn't need any other explanation, but I imagine that walking slow all the time would be kind of annoying.

"Hey mang, I'll be over in like 2 hours."

"Brotha, I live two blocks away. We need you now."

"Yeah, but looking this good is hard in regular time."

"Awww shit. I hear that brotha, it's cool, it's cool."

So here you have Lil' Jon.

That's it for the videos folks, but just remember what I have done to you. Every single time you watch a rap video now it will be smitten upon your soul to notice slow walking rappers, bitches, hoes and all.

On the plus side at least I didn't show you this.

Everyone has their own way of grieving after a loved one has passed away, but this walks the thin line between "do what you need to do to get by" and "that's really weird". I'm just going to say it the bluntest way possible, because I don't know how else to explain it. You can turn dead people's ashes into diamonds. Yup. They're called remembrance diamonds. If this is something you think you might be interested in, a company in Switzerland, called Algordanza, will help you out. Imagine all the awkwardness that this could prompt!

Woman 1: Those diamond earrings you're wearing are just GORGEOUS! Did your husband buy those for your anniversary?

Woman 2: Oh no! It's my Great Uncle Walter! He just died a few months ago.

Woman 1: Ahh, I see. So the diamonds are a family heirloom?

Woman 2: No, the diamonds are literally my Great Uncle Walter.

Woman 1: Errr...did you get the sympathy card I sent you a few months back?

And this bling does not come cheap. Reuters gives us a figure around $7,488...sometimes less, sometimes more. Eeek.

So what are people doing with these diamonds? Obviously they turn them into jewelry or keep them in a box. But one widow had a touching idea--mount the diamond into the table where her hubby used to sit at the local pub. Of course! If I'm ever turned into a diamond, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE place me at The Cellar. (If you went to Richmond, you know what I'm talking about.)

So how popular are these things?

In its first year, 2004, the company sold one diamond. These days it is creating about 60 a month, which Brimer attributes to word-of-mouth recommendations and media coverage, as Algordanza does not advertise.

I was discussing this with my manly, bearded friend Neil. Neil, who is pursuing his Masters in Marketing or something weird like that, said he could come up with a good pitch for remembrance diamonds if given some time. The world is waiting, Neil. This should be a toughie. I encourage all readers to think of witty advertising for this and to post it as a comment. Maybe someone could convince Lindsay Lohan to wear one. Or Lil' Jon can put them in his teeth or something. That's sure to jumpstart the trend.

As if this couldn't get creepier, the technology to make diamonds from ashes can also be applied to make synthetic diamonds from other materials...such as hair. SICK.

Bobby Thurman -- of Nelson Funeral Service in Arkansas, which offers diamonds to both burial and cremation clients -- decided to have LifeGem make a diamond from combined samples of his own and his family's hair.

"My family will cherish this diamond for generations, and I expect other families will want to do the same," Thurman said.

I'm expect most families DO NOT want to do the same, Bobby. But whatev.

I'm sorry for the morbid six word title/subject, but I couldn't let this go by without sharing it. And the title is kind of clever, no?
