The Warrick County Sheriff's Office has raised funds to purchase and train a new department K-9, thanks in large part to a major donation from the Rolling Hills Country Club.

The dog - which will replace a retiring K-9 assigned to Sgt. Greg Flowers - costs more than $12,000, officials said in a news release. The money is not covered in the department budget, so sheriff's officials reached out to the community to stir support and collect donations.

Sheriff Marvin Heilman announced this week all of the money has been raised.

"The public and our community business partners have been great to us in the past and they have stepped up again by providing the funding for this important program," he said in a news release. "Police dogs play an important role in serving the public and protecting our officers."

Heilman thanked the country club in the release for donating more than $6,000 in proceeds from its Casino Night fundraiser toward the new K-9.

The police dog will be assigned to Deputy Tony Todisco.

Ja, genau, das ist die B 209, diese breite und sehr gut ausgebaute Ortsdurch- und -ausfahrt, die ich noch niemals jemanden habe überqueren sehen. Anscheinend wohnt man da rechts oder links und will entweder raus aus Schwarti oder hinein. Ansonsten will man seine Ruhe. So wie Herr Kruse. Wo der wohnt? Das meinen Sie jetzt nicht ernst, oder?

So I got a call from a good friend of mine last weekend asking me to slam out 4 Flash headers for none other than Kruse Auction Park. I was extremely happy to help, and Kruse was happy with the results and very soon there will be a new division of Kruse launching on the web that will have a lot of influence from there owner (eBay).
