RE:Chain of Memories ist ein 3D Remake des GBA Teils, der die Stories von Teil 1 und 2 der Serie verbindet und somit ein wichtiges Glied in der Story darstellt. Ursprünglich erschien das Game nur in Japan in der "Final Mix+" Version von Kingdom Hearts 2 (PS2) als Bonusdreingabe.
Die Chancen, dieses Spiel jemals ausserhalb Japans zu bekommen, standen denkbar schlecht, da die Final Mix Versionen von beiden Teilen nur für den japanischen Markt bestimmt waren und es nie eine Ankündigung einer Standalone Version des Spiels in westlichen Gefilden gegeben hat.
Nun ist der Release von Kingdom Hearts 2 schon eine ganze Weile her, die PS2 wird immer weniger mit neuen Spielen versorgt und der Fokus liegt auf den Next-Gen Konsolen.
Doch vor einigen Wochen gab es ein Gerücht, das vielen Gamern, die immernoch auf dieses Spiel warten, neue Hoffnung gab.
Mehrere angebliche Insider verrieten, dass Synchronsprecher der Kingdom Hearts Serie für ein Chain of Memories Projekt zusammengerufen wurden (das GBA Original hatte keine Sprachausgabe und die japanische Version von RE:Chain of Memories war, anders als Final Mix, was den von Final Fantasy bekannten "International Editions" gleich kommt, komplett in japanisch gehalten).
Und nun vor ein Paar Tagen die Bestätigung: Kingdom Hearts RE: Chain of Memories kommt im Dezember auf den US-Markt für den Preis von 30$! Endlich!
Nun bleibt nur noch abzuwarten, ob das Spiel es auch nach Europa und vor allem Deutschland schaffen wird.
Das ist aber doch stark zu bezweifeln, da Kingdom Hearts immer für eine recht aufwendige Lokalisierung stand. Somit müssten für jedes Land, Deutschland inklusive, die original Synchronsprecher lizensiert werden, was für ein so kleines Projekt doch ein wenig viel Aufwand darstellen könnte und ein zu hohes Risiko sein könnte.
Ich denke, WENN es nach Europa kommt, dann nur mit englischer Sprachausgabe (was mich persönlich auch nicht wirklich stören würde...).
Wir können nur hoffen.

Währenddessen können wir auf neue Infos und Videos der beiden nächsten Kingdom Hearts Teile auf dem DS und der PSP warten. Der DS Teil wurde übrigens auf Februar 2009 (Japan-Release wohlgemerkt) verschoben.

Im Moment spiele ich das Super Nintendo Spiel Sparkster, welches ein Teil der Rocket Knight Adventures Serie vom Sega Mega Drive ist und ich denke, ich werde die Tage ein Review dazu schreiben. Vielleicht sogar ein Video-Review!

Dr. Robin was accused of passing derogatory remarks against the beard of Prophet Muhammad.

He is currently detained in Gujranawala jail. Dr. Robin's family was forced to go into hiding as the family members of the accused cannot stay at their home after the stigma of blasphemy has been slapped on any of their family members.

The family of Dr. Robin and some 20 Christian residents of district Hafizabad had come to see the APMA Chief; Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti, after Dr. Robin was accused of blasphemy. They apprised him of the insecurity they had become exposed to after Robin was implicated in a blasphemy case.

The APMA has been extending financial support to the family as well as free legal aid to Dr. Robin since the occurrence of alleged blasphemy by Dr. Robin.

The family of the accused including Veenus, 50, Tariq 42, Waseem Bhatti, 32 and Francis Masih, a relative of Dr. Robin came to the APMA office in Islamabad on October 3, 2008.

Describing the fear and uncertainty that gripped the family members following leveling of blasphemy charges on Dr. Robin, Waseem told ANS that they felt as if a roof had been snatched from them.

“We felt secure after we met the APMA Chief Shahbaz Bhatti,” he said.

“We wanted our voice to be raised. We were desperately looking for someone to steer us out of the problem we were confronting. We were praying for some help. We prayed to God and we knew our prayers were heard when we met Shahbaz Bhatti”, said Waseem.

The young Christian man went on to say that fears of sorts were assailing the family's mind after detention of Dr. Robin. They (fears) left us disturbed and helpless all the more, he said.

After incarceration of Dr. Robin, he said the family had lost the breadwinner and they were not in a position of hiring a lawyer.

“You need a lawyer to defend you even in a simple dispute. We knew we had to hire a competent defense counsel for Dr. Robin. It was again Mr. Shahbaz who extended free legal aid for Dr. Robin”, said Waseem as tears ran down his cheeks.

Waseem, who works as an animator in a local Non Governmental Organization (NGO) feared that it had become virtually impossible for Dr. Robin to run his clinic at the same locality.

He also ruled out possibility of any of his family members staying at the same place after leveling of blasphemy accusations on Dr. Robin.

“His (Dr. Robin's) family members are living in hiding. They have been able to find a roof above their heads with the help the APMA Chief extended to the family but you still feel alienated. You take time to settle down at a new place. You continue to live a tension-ridden life”, he said.

“The children of Dr. Robin have been robbed of fatherly love. Michael Rose, the youngest of Dr. Robin's children used to stay in a hostel. He does not feel comfortable staying at the hostel now”, said Waseem.

In response to a question he said that during this period of tribulation Dr. Robin had emerged as a strong Christian. He said his (Dr. Robin's) belief in Christ had only become stronger.

Tariq, a relative of Dr. Robin told ANS that Dr. Robin wished to be released as soon as possible.

He said the incident had come as a big jolt to the children of Dr. Robin.

He said they had not been able to concentrate on their studies fully after Robin was arrested by the police.

Francis, brother-in-law of Dr. Robin called for repeal of Pakistan's blasphemy laws.

Citing his talks with a couple of Muslim friends, he said that they were of the view that the law should be repealed.

“My Muslim friends admitted that a thorough investigation should be made before lodging of a blasphemy-related Police First Information Report (FIR)”, said Tariq.

Tariq disclosed that he had been able to record a conversation between the complainant and some family members of Dr. Robin in which the complainant tried to do a “deal” with the family of the accused.

According to Tariq, the complainant said that he would withdraw charges against Dr. Robin if his family agreed to pay him money.

He claimed he recorded the conversation on September 19, a day ahead of the hearing of Dr. Robin's case in a lower court.

Echoing a grave concern of Pakistani Christians, who like their fellow Muslim Pakistanis want their concerns to be highlighted on national and print media, Tariq said that Dr. Robin's case only drew marginal coverage of the incident.

Lashing out at the police he alleged that the police failed to provide adequate security to Dr. Robin's family.

“If the Police had provided security to Dr. Robin's family and his vulnerable relatives then they might have decided to continue staying in Hafizabad but in the absence of any such security the family was forced to go into hiding”, he said.

In an apparent bid to support his disbelief in the police, he said that police did not take initiative for rescuing Dr. Robin's family “rather some local Christians entered Dr. Robin's home at about 3 am and rescued the family members who had become prone to attack by the angry Muslim residents of Hafizabad”.

“Do you want us to jump into fire”, he quoted a police official as saying, who Tariq and other Christian residents of the area wanted to rescue Dr. Robin's family members.

Post-arrest situation

Tariq said when he and some other members of Dr. Robin's family went to Dr. Robin's place to collect some clothes, books and some other daily use items they saw a “shocking scene”.

“Not even a single thing was at its place. There were visible signs of human presence at Dr. Robin's house. It was not hard to conclude that some people have been living at Dr. Robin's house. We saw crumbs of bread, chicken bones, and unwashed dishes.

Dr. Robin's house had been ransacked”, said Tariq, who looked scared while sketching the ransacked home of Dr. Robin.

He said that the lower court rejected a post-arrest bail petition, prompting the APMA to file a petition in Lahore High Court.

Asked who could have inhabited Dr. Robin's house after his arrest and exiting of his family members, Tariq said that the fundamentalist Muslims of the area could have maintained their presence at Dr. Robin's house. Nobody could have dared entering Dr. Robin's home if the police had been vigilant, he said.

Tariq disclosed that a small but angry Muslim crowd took out a rally in a bid to pressurize the court.

He said that participants of the rally were holding placards, which were inscribed with slogans, “Give death to Dr. Robin.”

He disclosed that the witnesses at a court hearing had submitted their written version on legal papers that Dr. Robin did not commit blasphemy.

He said he learned that Dr. Robin's lawyer also gave precedents of post-arrest bails granted to blasphemy accused in the past “but even then the judge did not grant post-arrest bail to Dr. Robin”.

Talking to the APMA Chief, Mr. Shahbaz Bhatti, Veenus said that recording of the alleged conversation between the complainant and some family members further angered the local Muslims.

Thanking Mr. Shahbaz, she said she was optimistic that Dr. Robin would soon be home due to the APMA's efforts.

She said: “I urge the Christians across the world to pray for release of my husband from prison. I cannot give fatherly love to my children. We want him back as soon as possible”, she said while talking to the APMA Chief”.

The APMA Chief told ANS that he was going to urge authorities to do an in-camera trial of Dr. Robin for security purposes. An application in this regard would be moved soon, he said.

He assured the family of the accused that Dr. Robin would soon be with them.

“The APMA is concerned. It (APMA) has been since leveling of the blasphemy accusations on Dr. Robin. We stand by you at this critical juncture in Robin's and your life,” Shahbaz told the family of Dr. Robin who had come to see him at his office in Islamabad.

“It is the case of entire Christian community. When children of Dr. Robin talk to me by phone, I could feel the agony in their voices. I understand what they are living through. The APMA will do all it can to ensure expedient release of Dr. Robin”, said Shahbaz.

“We understand that the Pakistan blasphemy laws are being misused to settle personal scores. Religious enmity, prejudice and intolerance have been found behind filing of blasphemy cases in the past”, he maintained.

“God will move in His own mysterious way. Dr. Robin will be with you soon”, the APMA Chief told Dr. Robin's spouse, Veenus.

Shahbaz reiterated his pledge that the APMA would continue to extend free legal aid to the blasphemy accused.

He said the APMA would continue to struggle until the blasphemy laws are repealed.

A person is reduced to the status of a refugee in his country after blasphemy allegations are leveled against him, said Shahbaz implying to the threats the accused and his family receive after slapping of blasphemy charges.

Responding a question, he said the APMA had been providing free legal aid and shelter to the blasphemy-accused since the abuse of the law became rampant in Pakistan.

The APMA, he said, wants to see the controversial laws abolished. He disclosed that he wanted to table a bill in parliament in a bid to either get the laws repealed or see them significantly amended.

He appealed to the Christians across the world to pray for the APMA and Pakistani Christians.

“I thank you for your previous prayers and support. We need your prayers to be able to continue fighting for the rights of the marginalized and the down-trodden Pakistani Christians and other minorities”, he said.

Dubbing Pakistan blasphemy laws as a death warrant in the hands of extremists, Shahbaz called for the repeal of the law, which he said had done more harm than good since their introduction in 1986.

Somebody please sound the alarm and get the frogs into the lifeboats. (More on that in a second.) The discovery that the chytrid fungus has hopped the Panama Canal is the equivalent of a stock market crash for amphibians, and it should strike fear in the heart of every conservationist. Central and South America are home to the planet's critical mass of ampihbian species.

I'll be writing about the discovery more in future posts, but for now, go to the scientists' report in EcoHealth here.

Scientists have feared for some time that the canal would not hold back the spread of chytrid, which clogs amphibians' delicate skin and basically chokes them to death because they breath through their miraculous skin. This disease, which is indigenous to southern Africa, was accidentally spread around the world in the mid 1900s. The African clawed frog, also indigenous to southern Africa, is immune to the disease and when the medical world discovered the species could be used as a pregnancy test -- details here -- it was shipped around the world, carrying the disease with it. Chytrid is fatal to 80 percent of amphibian species and has vanquished more than 100 species over the past 20 years.

Which brings us to Amphibian Ark, the organization I support that is in charge of the plan to avert the mass extinction of amphibian species. Studies predict that up to half of the 6,000 amphibian species will go extinct in our lifetime unless emergency measures are taken. It's not just chytrid killing them off, but also habitat loss, pollution, and global warming. Amphibian Ark organizes zoos and conservation organizations to pluck the most endangered species from the wild, before they vanish, and put them into the "protective custody" of biosecure containers (or "lifeboats") for breeding. Once the species are brought back to a critical mass population, they can be reintroduced into the wild.

It costs $100,000 to do the work and build the facilities to save one amphibian species. It's a bargain.

I don't think I've written such a "dramatic" post in this blog, but folks, if there was ever a time to get fired up and take action, this is the moment. The Panama Canal jump is a major breach.

Yesterday was a busy day! I went to the Humane Society in my city once again to do portraits for the Pet of the Week.  This week it's Wanda!

Wanda is a 9 month old gorgeous green-eyed tabby with a wonderful personality.  She absolutely loved the camera and I swear she was posing for me!

Take a peak at this cutie!  She's available if you have room in your family for a sweet feline.

Next up is Addi.  Addi is a young cat, approx. 10 months old.  I must say, my Kate and I fell in love instantly with this little girl.  I'm surprised I was able to get a shot without Kate's hand in the photo!

Addi  is unbelievably affectionate and craves cuddles!

Stumbling into the book shop, I hoped there would be no customers to witness my humiliation. But, in fact, it was empty, apart from Fisher and Eric who were busily dusting the shelves. Both looked up as I burst through the door.

'Good heavens!' cried Fisher, dropping his duster and rushing towards me. 'What's happened to you, Matt?'

'Mugged,' I mumbled through my handkerchief.

'Pardon?'

I moved the handkerchief away from my mouth. 'I've been mugged, Richard.'

Fisher turned to Eric.

'I'm sorry,' he said, 'but you'll have to go to the Court by yourself. Give my apologies to Marco and tell him I'll be along once I've sorted out Matt.'

'Right, Fish.' Eric put on his coat and walked out of the shop.

Fisher took my arm and helped me through to his back room. Here he sat me down beside a sink and bathed my face with cold water. I felt through my pockets as he did so.

'Try to keep still,' he said.

'They've taken my credit card, Richard! Have you got a telephone? I've got to ring the bank and put a stop on it!'

'Calm down. I'll phone for you. Which bank is it?'

'Barclays in Harrow, but I don't know their number.'

'Don't worry, there's bound to be a central number in the phone book.' He thrust a bundle of paper towels into my hands. 'Look after yourself for a moment.'

He left me and went next door to make the call. I could hear his voice echoing in the empty shop. In a few minutes, he returned.

'All done, Matt, but they want the theft confirmed in writing when you feel up to it.'

'Thanks, Richard.'

He surveyed me from several angles.

'You ought to go to hospital, Matt.'

I didn't like hospitals. They'd always struck me as unhealthy places.

'I'm alright,' I said.

'You don't look at all alright. Is anything broken?'

'No, only bruised ... I think.'

'Has that nose stopped bleeding?'

'Nearly.'

'What have they done to your hair? It's an awful mess.'

'That wasn't the muggers, Richard. That was a woman in Canterbury.'

'The cow!' he snarled.

The shock was beginning to wear off and now my face was throbbing dreadfully. I struggled to speak.

'Can we go soon, please?'

'I suppose so, if you're quite sure you're okay.'

I nodded - and regretted the action at once. Fisher took me by the arm and helped me out of the shop, propping me up against a wall while he paused to set the alarm.

'Where did you park?' he asked.

'Round the corner.'

'Come on, then.'

Together we stumbled into Hartsdown Road. Then Fisher suddenly stopped and looked around.

'They've stolen your car too!'

'That's my car - the silver Mondeo.'
'No. You've got a red Corsa. I was in it yesterday. Remember?'

'Well, today it's a silver Mondeo,' I said, handing him the keys. 'Now, kindly open the door for me and I'll drive you to the Court.'

He shook his head.

'Matt,' he said, 'you are a continual source of surprise. Are you fit enough to drive?'

'Yes,' I said, taking care not to nod.

He unlocked the Mondeo's door, pushed me behind the wheel, and climbed in the passenger's door. I started the engine and drove, at a delicate crawl, to Lyonesse Court. Fisher made me park beside the main entrance and led me inside to a cloakroom where he left me to clean myself as best I could. As I came out, I heard the sound of a gong.

'It's dinner time,' said Fisher, taking my arm again. 'You'll stay and eat with us, of course.'

'Mrs Tate's expecting me at Buttercup Guest House.'

'Mrs Tate will have to manage without you. I'm sure she'll understand.' Fisher, of course, hadn't met Mrs Tate.

We passed through a pair of doors and came into an oak-panelled dining room. There was only one table, but it ran the whole length of the hall. Rows of people in white sat on either side, making it look like a cricket pavilion during the interval. At the head of the table sat a middle-aged man. He stood up as Fisher brought me to him.

'Signor Venturi,' said Fisher. 'May I introduce a friend of mine? This is Matt Allen? Matt, this is Giorgio Venturi, British Secretary of the Church of Perfection.'

'I am pleased to meet you.' Venturi's Italian accent was strong, though his handshake was weak. He studied me with his right eye, while the left flitted all round the room. 'You have had an accident, Matteo?'

'I was mugged, Signor Venturi - outside your book shop.'

'I am very sorry to hear that.' Venturi turned to Fisher. 'Riccardo, you must take better care of your friends.'

'Yes, Signor Venturi,' said Fisher, and quickly led me away to where a couple of vacant seats remained at the end of the table. When we were settled into out places, Venturi coughed politely for attention.

'We say grace?' he asked.

Everyone in the room rose, closed their eyes and bowed their heads while the old man intoned a prayer. Following this, they all sat down, except for half a dozen girls who went off to the kitchen and returned, a little later, to distribute plates of spaghetti among us all. In the meantime, Fisher introduced me to our immediate neighbours, but, after some initial enquiries, the Perfectionists preferred to talk among themselves, for which I was grateful, as conversation was extremely painful now. The spaghetti was followed by fruit and wine. Finally, the girls cleared everything off the table and Venturi rose again. Fisher nudged me.

'Watch this, Matt, You'll enjoy it.'

'Prepare for paradise,' said Venturi in a dramatic voice.

Everybody in the room stood up, climbed on their chairs, and then, from the chairs onto the table itself. I was too astonished to move, but the Perfectionists reached down and pulled me up to them. When all but Venturi were on the table, we held hands and formed a circle round the edge, facing outwards. Venturi shifted all the chairs away to the sides of the room.

'Onwards and upwards!' he cried.

'Into the light!' shouted the Perfectionists and leapt from the table.

Unprepared for this, I was jerked off my feet and crashed to the floor. I sat up and was not surprised to discover that my nose was bleeding again. Fisher picked me up.

'What's going on?' I asked.

'Learning to fly,' he said. 'That's how we do it.'

'It's crazy!'

'Don't discuss it here. Come to my room.'

We left the hall, along with all the other chattering Perfectionists, and made our way through a maze of corridors to room fifty-two. Fisher unlocked the door, showed me in, and sat me on his bed.

'Well?' I demanded.

'Don't shout at me,' he said, thrusting a bundle of tissues into my hand. 'Wipe your nose, Matt. It's bleeding again.'

I gave it a rough dab.

'Why did we all jump off a table, Richard?'

'It's what I was trying to explain to you yesterday. That was step three of our preparation for paradise: learning to fly.'

'Well, I certainly didn't see anyone fly. Did you?'

'Of course not. We're still learning, aren't we?'

'That's just an excuse.'

Fisher glared at me.

'It's not an excuse, Matt, it's an explanation. Now it's your turn to explain why you've hounded me to Margate?'

'You know perfectly well why. Holly sent me - to see how you are. That poor girl's very worried about you.'

'Tell her she needn't bother.'

'She can't help it. She loves you.'

'Yeah, yeah, yeah.'

'No, really - she does.'

I noticed Fisher's cheeks flush a little. He wriggled uncomfortably.

'I'd be a lot happier if Holly forgot all about me.'

'And she'd be happier,' I said, 'if you left Lyonesse Court and went back to a normal life.'

'Normal life? What does she - what do either of you - know about normal life?' He waved his hand round the room. 'This is normal, Matt.'

I dabbed my dripping nose.

'You think wearing white all the time and jumping off tables is normal? If that's normal, Richard, I'm a Dutchman!'

Fisher looked at me sorrowfully.

'Your trouble is that you only think of the present moment. You haven't made any provision for the future so, when it comes, you won't be ready for it. Isn't it sensible to plan ahead, Matt?'

'Yes, I suppose so.'
'There you are then. There's going to come a day when even you will see that some things are more important than financial and material success.'

'Oh, I know that, Richard. I've seen you - slaving in the back room of a book shop and slicing up your fingers.'

'You're right. It is indeed part of my preparation for paradise.'

'It's all you ... you ... you, isn't it? Think of someone else for a change. What about Holly? Doesn't she deserve better treatment from you?'

Fisher frowned and chewed his lip.

'I'm very sorry about Holly, but I advised her in my letter to find someone more suitable.' He looked me up and down. 'Why, even you would do.'

I laughed awkwardly. Now it was my turn to feel uncomfortable.

'Leave me out of it, Richard. All I know is that, for some unknown reason, she's convinced you're the one for her.'

Fisher jumped up from the bed.

'That isn't true! She was ready to marry Jeremy Irvine.'

'I know. Apparently it was because she didn't want to hurt him.'

'She said that?'

'Yes.'

Fisher stared at me.

'She's a strange girl, Matt.'

'Strange ... but rather lovely.'

He nodded.

'That's true.'

For a moment or two our minds wandered off along pleasant paths, then Fisher returned to reality and looked at his watch.

'No more talking, Matt. It's time you went home and tucked yourself up in bed.'

He rose, pulled me upright and hustled me out of his door.

'When shall I see you again?'

Fisher sighed.

'Do you have to see me again?'

'Yes,' I said. 'It's my responsibility to Holly.'

He smiled and shook his head.

'You don't know when you're beaten, do you?'

'I'm not beaten, Richard.'

He chuckled.

'Call for me at reception about seven-thirty tomorrow evening.'

After reading here- I hope you'll pop over to the MOPS International Convention Blog to read how Lynne Spears (yes- Lynne- the mother of Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears she spoke during one of our general sessions ) visit to MOPS Convention has impacted me and other moms- It was incredible.

When standing on the edge of… oh, ….ANYTHING. I get that stomach flip flopping, hands sweating, heart thumping- kind of feeling. Not the “Ohhhhh, I’m in love” feeling- it was the other one- FEAR. It could be a bridge, a cliff, or the top of a steep set of stairs. Not quite panic— but fear. The fear is manageable… but I don’t like it. It makes me feel  just a little too human and frail.

Recently I stood on the very edge of my fear. I was on vacation. We were camping and went to the biggest falls in Mighigan. It was a crystal clear Norman Rockwell type waterfall/swimming hole, complete with waterbugs of all ages, jumping into the rapids, heads bobbing up through the foaming water with grins from ear to ear. I carefully walked out to the edge of the falls- to take a pic.  I had not intention of jumping.  But as I watched... my heart yearned to get past the fear. I was missing out on half the experience. I sawthe beauty of the rushing water-but I couldn't FEEL it.

Was I afraid of the waterfall?

No. Not a bit- In fact, I was so enraptured by it- that I totally forgot how short my legs are when I bent down to snap a pic— let’s just say I ended up a “soggy bottom mom”. It wasn’t the waterfall that had me afraid- it was the JUMPING , that worried me.  What if I got hurt? What if I looked like the pudgey mom of three I know I am- and people watched me? What if I never came back up from the river bottom?

I watched as child after child jumped and swam… I watched as adult after adult proved the safety of the jump, by bobbing back to the surface. I watched as my own friends and family rose out of the rapids- aglow with joy.  A tiny bit of courage started to well up in my soul. I wanted to do it.  I wanted to jump.

I took my camera to the rivers edge and asked my college boy to hold it- and told him NOT to miss getting my pic.  I warned him it could be the last.  He knows his mother- he was shocked I was going out there. I carefully edged out toward the middle. I looked down into the swirling water….I walked back to shore. I handed my camera/security blanket to my oldest, and told him I was going to jump. His jaw fell open and nearly hit the shore. I told him to make sure and get the shot- there would only (probably) be one take.

I made my way to the centerpoint, my feet slipping on algae covered rocks. I stepped aside as 2 9-10 year old girls jumped into the deep. (Ok so maybe it was 4 1/2 feet) I plugged my nose… I unplugged it. I stepped back- I stepped forward.  I finally went to the edge–my heart racing… then I stepped down just one rock lower (No need to make it scarier than it already was!) ….I plugged my nose. I made eye contact one last time with family and friends (just in case) .. and then? I jumped.

The water seemed to jump up to catch me. It was not at all like the tearing, torrent that I’d imagined. It was cool, refreshing. Embracing. I sank to the bottom, and my feet found a foot hold on the riverbed.  My legs, automatically sprang me back to the top. . My head broke the surface-I screamed-" I did it!"  I was grinning like a mascara streaked, madwoman. And I did not care what anyone thought. I DID IT! I JUMPED!

I climbed back up the rocks, and then? I did it again, and again.  What had been so fear filled- had become joyfilled. On the way back to camp-  I started to wonder. How many times have I stood on the edge of fun- and  joy filled experience, paralyzed by a fear? There have been hundreds.

I’ve missed a lot more than waterfall jumping adventures.  I’ve felt the same adrenaline rush as I stood at the top of faith leaps- watching others leap- while I stayed on the rivers edge- in fear.

I’ve been afraid to try, for risk of failure. I’ve been afraid to trust at risk of trust broken. I’ve been afraid to jump- at risk of falling… but all I’ve lost- was the joy of being caught- by much stronger arms than the arms of a river.

The waterfalls in faith leaps aren’t always as tame as the Ocqueoc Falls, that I jumped into on vacation. (and honestly- they are TINY--- but it's the biggest we have here in Michigan:P) . They can be truly dangerous. For some reason- God allows them to be. There is risk in trusting God. There are few guarantees.

But- today, as I look back at my vacation pictures… I wonder- how many guarantees do we really need- beyond this one:

Are you standing at the edge of a waterfall of faith? Is fear keeping you there? Are you watching as others leap into the deep and are lifted up as God catches them, jump after jump? Stop standing there.  Stop going tot he edge and chickening out. Plug your nose if you have to… but do it-  JUMP!

The risk is worth the taking:)
