Clipperz is an online password manager where you have total control. You access it through a Master Password (Passphrase) that YOU create, should you forget it then you have a real problem as you are the only one who knows it, it isn't stored which also means that it cannot be retrieved.

All the information that you enter into the browser window is fully encrypted and secure. Also, this is the first web-based application that has no knowledge of the users or their data.

You can store pretty much anything from usernames and passwords, credit/debit card details, PIN numbers, software registration codes, personal notes and more. This gives you the ability to create 'one click' logins without having to physically type anything into the username / password fields. You simply launch the Clipperz bookmarklet, click the page that you will have previously saved with your login details and it will open the saved browser window and log you in....how easy is that?

For each site that you require login details simply create a New Card and store it within Clipperz.

You can save all of your encrypted data to your hard drive or a usb flash which creates a 'read-only' version which is fully portable. There is a compact version for Firefox and Opera which can be used in the sidebar for ease of use, see screenshots here

Clipperz is completely anonymous, there is no need to supply any personal information, simply create your account with a username and Passphrase.

There is also an open source Community Edition which allows you to run it from your own server if you prefer rather than using the service provided by the developers.

Antes de qualquer coisa, o Internet Explorer é um lixo que deveria ser extinto, mas como muitos ainda o usam e caso o seu Regedit não tenha MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server nem o MaxConnectionsPerServer, basta você criá-lo manualmente seguindos os passos:

1. Vá até onde deveria ficar os ítens não encontrados e dentro da pasta Internet Explorer clique com o botão direito do mouse para em seguida clicar em Valor da seqüência;

2. Renomeie para MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server e atribua o valor 10 (DECIMAL) dando duplo clique na mesma;

3. Crie outra seqüência e renomeie para MaxConnectionsPerServer e atribua o valor 10 (DECIMAL) dando também duplo clique;

4. Se você gosta do IEca só lamentos, mas tae xD

What if I told you it was free?

What if I told you that 99.9% of websites will work in exactly like they work in IE? Too good to be true? It's not!

I remember hearing about Mozilla when it was still in Beta, before it became the Netscape Navigator and finally Firefox. I tried it, but due to the newness of the browser, and the whole world wide web for that matter, it didn't work very well. Most websites at the time just weren't designed to be compatible with anything other than IE. But that has changed!

If you are using IE 7 (and if you are using IE, you should be!) than you have been introduced to the wonderful world of "tabbed browsing." Did you think Microsoft came up with that? Nope!

So, you can download (for free) the Mozilla Firefox web browser here, but that is just the beginning. After you download it you can download numerous "add-ons." Since Firefox is an "open source" browser, anyone can make add-ons for it! This means there is a wide variety of add-ons for every thinkable (and some you won't think of) use.

There are also "themes" you can download. These themes are skins for your browser so you can change the colors/shapes/sizes of your buttons and task bars. There is everything from sports team themes to holiday themes. Ones that just change the colors to some that change the look entirely. There is even one that makes Firefox look like IE!!! Theme I'm using currently is Aquatint Black Gloss.

In addition to the add-ons and themes another feature that I like is that you can place your favorite bookmarks (IE calls bookmarks favorites) right on the toolbar for easy one-click access!

I personally have added the following add-ons:

1.) Adblock Plus - Helps block pop-ups and many ads on website pages.

2.) Feed Sidebar - This add-on sold me on Firefox. It gives me a very nice sidebar that I can open and close with all of my RSS feeds in it. It also adds a nice icon and small notices whenever I get a new RSS item. Since I read 12-15 blogs everyday, this makes it VERY easy to keep up to date with them. You should subscribe to my RSS feed.

2.) Google Preview - Gives you a small thumbnail preview of EACH page in the results of your google search!

3.) Surf Canyon - Gives you preview pics on Craigslist and gives you suggested similar links to your search results on Craigslist, google, and Yahoo!.

4.) PMOG - A passive game. It puts a toolbar at the bottom of your browser, and as you surf the web you are playing a game with thousands of other people. Just by doing your everyday surfing you are playing the game and will find missions and other surprises left by other players. These missions will take you to other pages (on a theme) and are very helpful to find new and interesting websites.

5.) Woot! Watcher - On the bottom corner of my screen it tells me what Woot! is selling at what price for the day. Only works with original woot! currently.

Overall there are hundreds of different reasons to love Firefox. Everyone can make it exactly what they need their browser to be! Go check it out!

1. Filling Registration and Checkout Forms in 1-click.  Upcoming. You have to create a form filler profile before. It will look like this:

2. Signing in to my websites in a click.  The logins toolbar buttons are customizible and appear like this  on Web Replay’s toolbar. By clicking the login toolbar button I automatically sign in to my AOL mail.

3. Bookmarking websites. I can bookmark websites by clicking this  button on the toolbar. A dialog opens where I can tag the bookmark and write a short description about it.

Note. The difference between keeping your bookmarks online and storing them with Web Replay is that your Web Replay database is encrypted and protected by a master password. In other words your bookmarks are better protected if you store them encrypted with Web Replay. Web Replay database is portable. You can save it on an USB and have it with you everywhere you go.

4. Taking full web page snapshot (scrollbar included) just clicking  in the Web Replay toolbar.

5. Recording all my repetitive online actions like clicking and typing to reduce everything to one click.

When I start Web Replay recorder (click the second button in the toolbar) everything I’m doing online is recorded. At the end I stop the recorder and save the whole sequence as a web macro. From now on I can launch the recorded sequence anytime in a click.   

6. Generating strong passwords just clicking  button.

Web Replay automatically fills the generated password in a web page.

7. Finding items in my database quickly and easily.

I can quickly search items in my tagged database directly from my browser. This button  in the toolbar opens a search band in the left side of my IE browser. I can search items by tags and category (logins, web macros). You can see the items as you type.

Deskperience Software

Well not really… it’ll happen only if you have kept the security settings on Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 to their most paranoid level.

This problem is not with Firefox, Firefox is just honoring your Windows security settings for downloading applications and other potentially unsafe files from the Internet.

According to Mozilla -

Starting in Firefox 3, downloads of executable files (e.g., .exe or .msi) may fail and the Firefox Downloads window will contain this message, under the filename:  This download has been blocked by your Security Zone Policy.

Lot of users won’t be facing this problem if they haven’t played around the security settings. But if you have changed the security settings then -- open Internet Options (via Control Panel or from Internet Explorer -> Tools) and click the Security tab. With the Internet zone icon highlighted, click the Custom level… button. (which is default setting) A list of security settings for the Internet zone will appear. Find the “Launching applications and unsafe files” setting (under Miscellaneous) and select “Prompt (recommended)”.

Don't worry firefox guys "init is not defined?".

If I reload enough, or use basic html to load (Google Mail), it works.  I think Mike Miller and I are the only humans who roll our eyes when we here salesmen or vendors tell us their product is java based.

A lot of hunting on the interwebs led me, ironically, back to the watir main documentation, where I discovered that my issue was really with frames! When a website has frames, you need to specify what frame the link is in to actually access it, for example:
ie.frame("main").link(:id,"UW_CO_JOBTITLE_HL$").click

Or in general terms:
ie.frame("FRAMENAME").link(:id, "LINKID").click

And there we have, you can now access links that are in frames, hopefully this saves someone all of the hunting that I had to do! This is also a really good example of how difficult it is to find a solution to something when you are not sure what the problem was; I thought the problem was with JavaScript, so I was searching for that, but it was in fact as stated above with the frames!

Hoy sin embargo se me ha ocurrido una idea en el sitio donde mas cosas se me ocurren, donde me vienen las ideas felices necesarias a veces para terminar de escribir esa pieza de codigo o para comprender totalmente como esta funcionando ese filtro antiXSS que me esta fastidiando la mañana.

Llevo unos dias programando en ASP.Net (noticias sobre esto en ¿breve?) y ya en faena me he puesto a hacer que la pagina validase en la W3C. Se que esto no es muy complicado porque el Visual Studio ya genera codigo valido por defecto, pero es que como yo vengo de programar en PHP me hago un lio y acabo haciendo algunas cosas poco... correctas. Una vez que tu pagina valida, la W3C te da un logito que puedes colocar en tu web:

La idea me ha surgido a raiz de uno de los ultimos fallos encontrados en Firefox 3, el cual permite la ejecucion remota de codigo mediante un GIF malformado en sistemas Mac OS X. Tambien salieron hace tiempo fallos identicos para plataformas IE/Windows (6.0 y XP) con el manejo de JPG.

Mi idea es: (y no es que la haya hecho, solo que alguien podria llegar a hacerlo) alguien consigue encontrar un fallo de ejecucion remota de codigo y quiere producir el mayor de impacto posible, compromete el servidor de la W3C y modifica el fichero original por uno especialmente modificado (puede guardar la misma apariencia si quiere que pase lo mas desapercibido posible).

¿Cual podria ser el alcance de una idea asi? Segun Google hay mas de un millon y medio de paginas que linkan la imagen anterior; habria que saber cuantas mas lo hacen a otras versiones del HTML/XHTML valido.

Bueno, es solo una idea... ¿Que os parece? ¿Subiis tambien la imagen de validado a vuestro servidor o linkais directamente?

Ошибка очень напоминает ошибки студентов при написании программ. Они тоже путаются в коде и почти всегда их код непоследовательный и нелогичный.

New research has revealed 45 per cent of all internet users don’t keep their browser, such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. correctly up-to-date. And national computer support company is warning that leaves estate agencies’ computers vulnerable to malicious programs.

Technical director Peter Turner said, “If you don’t keep your computer up-to-date it is easier for a piece of malicious software, known as malware, to install itself and transfer data from your computer over the web. For estate agents and their staff that is a very worrying prospect.”

Peter added that keeping computers up-to-date is free and easy – but people simply forget to do it. He said: “Updates for programs such as web browsers are released a couple of times a year, and are mostly free to download and use. It’s remembering to do it where most companies go wrong.

“The answer is not to ban staff from using the internet at work. Instead the managers of estate agencies should stay aware of when browsers are being updated and take time to protect their company. “We recommend every agency gives someone specific responsibility for keeping their computer’s web browsers up-to-date, or hire in IT experts to keep them protected.”

The browser security research was done by Google and IBM. Ulysses IT specialises in computer support for law companies across the UK. The business was established in 1998 and operates as an outsourced IT department for clients, mostly on a pay as you go basis.

En esta entrada vamos a reseñar y enumerar algunos de esos navegadores web, junto a sus enlaces de descarga, que podremos utilizar en nuestros equipos. Internet Explorer quizás sea el más conocido por muchos al estar integrado en Windows, no obstante, disponemos de múltiples alternativas que nos van a ofrecer otras funcionalidades y que seguro que a más de uno le van a sorprender gratamente.

Vamos pues a ver algunos de estos navegadores:

Internet Explorer:
El navegador web integrado en el propio sistema Windows, creo que conocido por todos por lo que no será necesario extendernos.

Un navegador web para Windows basado en el motor de Internet Explorer, y también cuenta con servicios añadidos que hacen la navegación más facil, es multilenguaje, y desde sus primeras versiones funciona con pestañas, cuenta con un cazador de anuncios, es decir una lista negra, que bloqueará de forma automática todos los anuncios y páginas que estén en ella, permite bloquear descargas de imagenes, vídeos, sonido y controles ActiveX , cuenta con servicio de traductor de páginas y permite la utilización de proxys.

Navegador web que permite la navegación de forma anónima al usar la red Tor. Una de sus principales ventajas es que no requiere ni configuración ni instalación. Es ideal para llevarlo en una llave USB y navegar de forma anónima en cualquier PC que no sea nuestro.
xB Browser está basado en Firefox y por temas de seguridad si estamos ejecutando xB Browser no podremos ejecutar Firefox al mismo tiempo. De momento sólo está disponible para Windows.

Navegador web específico para Mac OS basado en el motor de renderizado Gecko, integra algunos servicios y características de Mac OS X como el Keychain para la administración de contraseñas y Bonjour para detectar los marcadores disponibles en la red local. Navegador web gratuito para Mac OS, escrito y basado en Cocoa, con el motor KHTML. Cuenta con una barra lateral desde la que tener acceso a favoritos, al historial  o a las descargas, una reseña de página (una guía con todos los enlaces del sitio que estamos visitando), y un lector RSS.
Como curiosidad cuenta con un efecto de pase de página utilizando Core Image. Actualmente esta en desarrollo y recientemente se ha liberado la versión 2.2 que esta disponible en múltiples idiomas.

Es un navegador web Software Libre y de código abierto para Linux, que forma parte del proyecto KDE.

Por supuesto hay muchos navegadores más pero, quizás estos sean de los más conocidos por la mayoría.

De interés:

1. Open Internet Explorer and on the toolbar you should notice a button for Tools. Click this button. From the menu select, Internet Options.
   
   
2. On the general tab of the Internet Options dialog, click the Delete... button in the Browsing History section.
   
   
3. Then click the, Delete Cookies... button on the Delete browsing history dialog. 
   
   
4. Click yes when prompted if you are sure you want to delete all cookies in the temporary Internet files folder. 
   
   

You can also check to make sure your scheduled anti-virus checks and deletes any malicious Internet cookies. AVG Anti-virus Free and SpyBot Search & Destroy are two very good applications to remove unwanted cookies.

Installing dependencies

Now the below screen will guide you what versions need to be installed, where the launchers should go. If can enable installation of IE7, which is experimental in the advanced options. Now click OK to continue installing.

The installation starts downloading necessary files from microsoft website.

After installing, the short cut appears on the desktop or whatever options you have choosed earlier. Now its ready to use IE and test your web pages.
