There’s this huge context menu, everytime I right-clicked on a link; but especially on an imag

There's this huge context menu, everytime I right-clicked on a link; but especially on an image; it gets filled with shit I won't and will never use. There are currently 24 items, not including 7 separators; making 31 lines total. All those entries and only a couple of really useful ones; how about adding an easy config option at the end. All I wanted to (and will want to) was to save the god damn image! When I select some text, there are 14, +5 separators, giving a total of 19! For the obviously and only reasonable copypasta; so, WTF!? Maybe It's because I'm such a complaining luzer; at least I know there's somehow got to be a criptic way to configure it, but why should I bother to begin with; anyhow...

Firefox may be labeled 'better', 'safer', 'faster' or whatever; but if at the price of being always my most memory consumpt and sluggish app, then it's not worth it and those turn out to be obvious deceptions. The reality is that it's still buggy and under a constant development nightmare of incompatibilities (even within previous versions); and it's most definitely not ready for prime time; ie, it's still a 'leet' app; made by developers for themselves. Most of it's 'usefulness' just really gets in your way. Eg, I use version 2, and had to browse (for a couple of days) a ton full of shitty and useless pseudo-documentation, just to make a couple of easy, lousy JS buttons. Why on god's earth do I need a separate developmental version for something so menial!? And better yet, why was this functionality not present either built-in or through an extension. Well, in all honestly, it was present, but disabled; and they were a couple of add-ons, but did not work. The worst is now I know that I have to get ready to upgrade them soon when V3 makes it's way.

Also, on a side-note, tabs sucks; I have never used one purposedly, and never will; ever. I don't 'uder sand' why everybody else goes ZOMG! gooey over them. I just hate those abominable windowless illusions. Bottomline, Firefox sucks. I prefer K-meleon, but this came pre-installed on my warez... FireFox is just a Linucks fanatic's pitch.

There are too many small objects in earth orbit. The solution might be to make an artificial planetary ring (supported by carbon nanotubes), which later could be expanded to a full grid sphere. Satelites could be inserted in this grid, as well as space lift points (if we ever get that to work properly).

Also, solar panels could be installed in the grid, to exploit the extra sunlight made available. Of course, they should be turned off to let sunlight come through to the earth, just the right amoung to get the climate balanced.

Meteorites might pose a problem. For detection, we might need to make brief flashes of light in all directions. And for protection, I think extremely mobile armor units that can take all kinds of minor blows might be the best solution. We might be able to harvest both the energy of the impact and the meteorite material. For larger objects, it's of course better to divert them with firepower, preferably at some very early stage (the earlier the more energy-efficient).

The moon should be mined for all it's worth. Perhaps we can find enough useful materials there to make an artificial ring around the sun? That would be the beginning of the end of our energy needs!

There is nothing small about you
Your ego is as big as your stomach
Your mouth is as big as your bottom
Your lies are even bigger than anything combined

There goes your disbeliefs in people's capability
You purge everything into disability
Nothing compared to your bigger than life attitude
As to your childlike behaviour nobody can rescue

You can tell anybody else about your adventure
For all I know they even tell you are a vindictive immature
Well, shame on you for blaming your past
'Cause your life now is nothing but a laugh

In my eyes you're nothing but a toy
Too badly you can't even bring me joy
It's maybe cruel to call you a trash
You got nothing else for me to pass

Your brain is as small as your eyes
Your comfort is some fermented rye
No wonder why you are so behind
Don't you know that slobbish is a bind?

Nothing but regrets come into my heart
You've wreck my life and sanity into shards
Someday you will pay the price
Ending up alone, there's no surprise

Thank God, you're finally gone
My life's in peace again now, there's so much to be done
Everything's so peaceful and nothing but happiness that I feel
And I can be myself even better now, this is not surreal

Koreas first astronaut So-yeon Yi is dreaming about an united country. This Saturday she landed in Kazakhstan after 11 days in space.

So-yeong has become a part of the history as the first Korean astronaut in space. The proudness over her can be seen in the streets of Seoul. During her journey, there have been several exhibitions on the theme and she has constantly been in the news.

In an interview, made right after the landing in Kazakhstan, So-yeong describes her impressions from space:

“The Korean Peninsula I saw from space was one and united. The sight of the penisula before I entered the Soyuz capsule still lingers in my mind.”

She also says that she is looking forward to come home to Korea and share her experiences with the public.

The first topics on the evening news seem not to be able to make me interested. I am tired after a long day, and I just cannot register anything more. I leave the tv for a short while. When I return, the screen is showing images of a street filled of people. The reporter speaks about reunification. Since can't understand what it is about, I quickly ask my sister, who has been watching the news the whole time.

"Cyprus," she replies.

The images are showing people walking in the Ledras-street in Nicosia. A street that has been blocked as a part of the division of Cyprus the last 44 years.

The reporter speaks about difficulties, that it is still a long way to go. After such a long time, the division has reached into people's minds, created us and them. But still, a wall is torn down. There are many left in the world, but one wall that has been dividing people by keeping them from meeting each other is gone. That gives me hope.

“Here they are,” says Melika and pulls up the blinder in the dinning hall of the House of Trust

“Here they are,” says Melika and pulls up the blinder in the dinning hall of the House of Trust, a peace building NGO in Srebrenica. Six police cars drives up in front of the municipality with the blue lights on. They are followed by big black cars with tint windows. All with black number plates with yellow letters – cars with diplomat status.

The cars come from the embassies of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Palestinian territories. They are coming to Srebrenica to discuss how Srebrenica can get a special political status in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In July 1995, about 8000 Muslims or Bosniacs were killed during a few days by Bosnian Serb forces in Srebrenica. The massacre has become a symbol for the violence during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s. Later in 1995, the Dayton Peace Agreement was signed of the warring parties and the country was split into two entities. The federation has Bosniac/Craotian majority and the Republic of Srpska has Serbian majority. Today, Srebrenica belongs to the Republic of Srpska. After that the sentence of the International Court of Justice in Haague that made Bosnian Serb forces guilty for the genocide in 1995, a group of Muslims in the town has demanded that Srebrenica no longer should belong to the Republic of Srpska, but get a special independent status.

“This is politics in Srebrenica,” says Melika. “A lot of people are coming for a day and discusses our future without asking us about it, and then they leave.”

Melika points at a man with a camera on the opposite side of the street. He is a foreign journalist. We observe him discovering a group of women with patterned scarves covering their hair. Several journalists have already gathered by the women. He joins the other journalistst and starts taking photos.

“He takes picture of what he expects to see here,” Melika says and pulls down the blinder again.

The door to the dinning hall opens and Amir enters. He makes a comment about the police cars while Melika brings him coffee. Amir moved to Srebrenica from Tuzla four years ago to work for Musicians Without Borders. He is running a drum orchestra with children from the town. The orchestra has become very good. They often go to other towns for performances.

Once a British journalist wanted to watch when Amir was practicing with the orchestra. She recorded the practice and afterwards she wanted to ask questions. The first thing she asked was how many Serbs and how many Muslims there were in the group.

“She could have asked anything, how many of the children have electricity at home or how they have learned how to play so well, “ says Amir.

Some days ago, Melika arranged a lunch for women who lost their families during the war. Around 60 women came and they stayed long, they were eating and dancing together without caring about who was Muslim and who was Serb. Melika had called journalists because she wanted them to see the women as something else than victims. No one came.

“No one seems to care about that this is how peace is built, not trough high political decisions,” she says.

Amir and Melika sight. Politics and media focus on ethnicity while the people in Srebrenica tries to focus to move on. Srebrenica is being used to achieve political goals, but no one really knows how life is in the town. Everyone that comes leaves quickly again.

In the youth centre, Ljubiša is checking news on the internet. He is quickly reading trough the articles he finds about Srebrenica and continues to the next homepage. Some years ago, Ljubiša and his friends built up the centre by themselves. They were tired not to have anything to do, so they took spades and picks and started to build up the old theatre in Srebrenica that was left in ruins. Today, they have a fully equipped centre with internetcafé and a big stage where local bands often practice. Moreover, Ljubiša and his friends can get some paid for the work they do.

“We are just trying to build some sort of normal life, but then someone who does not live in Srebrenica come and decides something about politics,” says Ljubiša and stops reading the news. He turns on music and logs into the centre’s forum instead. Outside the window the police cars drives by with their blue lights turned on. The streets in Srebrenica turn empty again.

Mikica, who also works in the centre, enters. She teases Ljubiša and then starts puttin up a big white flip chart on the wall. Today they are going to have a meeting about the festival Silvertown Shine that takes place once a year. Bands from whole ex-Yugoslavia come to perform in Srebrenica.

Mikica is tired of the focus on the history of Srebrenica. She wants to look forward. Mikica often goes to seminars all over Bosnia and Herzegovina to make new contacts and talk about the work in Srebrenica. She wants to change the reputation of the town from being seen as the end of the world to something new, a town where people actually lives.

Mikica asks me to hold the tape for her. Then she takes the lid of a pen and starts writing the results from a survey that has been sent out to youth organisations in the whole country about the festival. Many have heard about the festival, many have visited it, and many plan to come this year. Mikica puts on the lid of the pen again and turns towards me.

“You see, she says, this is not the end of the world. It is the beginning.“

“Whoever saves a single life, it is as if he had saved the whole world.” (Talmud)

Today

"Whoever saves a single life, it is as if he had saved the whole world." (Talmud)

Today Irena Sendler (Sendlerowa) died. She was 98.

During the WWII she saved about 2,500 Jewish children from Warsaw's Ghetto. All of them survived the war. She is recognized as "Righteous among the nations" and was nominated for a Nobel Prize in 2007. Her story below.

She was raised in a family, where her father, a doctor, was helping poor Jewish children in a town of Otwock, Poland.

In 1939, after German invasion, Nazis forbid to offer any help to Jews, but Irena decided otherwise and started to help those who needed it.

In Poland the population of Polish Jews was estimated at about about 3,000 000 before the war. Warsaw was the largest Jewish city in Europe, with 375,000 Jews. After forming Warsaw Ghetto, non-Jewish Poles were forbidden to enter. In occupied Poland, help offered to Jews in any form was punishable by death, it was the most severe legislation in occupied Europe.

Nazis, being afraid of contagious diseases, gave permits to some Poles to bring minimal medical resources. Irena was a social medical worker and was granted such a permit. That was the door of opportunity that Irena Sendler used to save the Jewish children, who otherwise would end up starving to death, would be killed inside the Ghetto or brought to concentration camps for extermination.

Zegota (Council for Aid to Jews)

During the beginnings of massive deportations from ghetto (1942), Zofia Kossak, Polish writer, published a "Protest" which influenced and united many Poles in the efforts of helping Jews. Fragments of this document:

All perish. Poor and rich, old, women, men, youngsters, infants, Catholics dying with the name of Jesus and Mary together with Jews. Their only guilt is that they were born Jewish condemned to extermination by Hitler.

The world is looking at these atrocities, the most horrible throughout the whole history of mankind, and is silent.

England is silent, so is America, even the international Jewry is silent, usually so sensitive to all harm to their people. Silent are Poles.

We are required by God to protest. God who forbids us to kill. We are required by out Christian consciousness. Every human being has the right to be loved by his fellowmen. Blood of the defenceless cries to heaven for revenge. Those who oppose our protest - are not Catholics.

Children in Warsaw Ghetto

Within few months, an underground Polish organization was formed, called Zegota, operated under Polish Government in Exile. Non-Jews and Jews cooperated together, uniting people form many different political backgrounds. It was the only government-financed organization in Europe set up specifically to aid Jews. Polish government in England was trying desperately to send the news toward the whole world about this situation, and hoping for financial support. The results were not satisfying, but they never stopped in sending funds to help Jews in hiding, even if the sums were humble and not significant. It is estimated that by the end of the war Zegota helped for 40,000 - 50,000 Jews (numbers vary, are hard to determined).

Irena was directing Children's Bureau of Zegota, which was responsible for rescuing Jewish children, placing them in safety and caring for them continually. Irena was the planning strategist behind the action. To get one child saved, about ten people were needed, she estimated. People who helped were risking their own and their family lives. Her nickname was "Jolanta".

No one refused

Newborns and toddlers were smuggled sedated, put in the wooden fruit crates, potato sacks, even coffins, often delivered to the tram driver, who drove the vehicle through the Ghetto to the Polish side of Warsaw or just carried away through the gate.

As unimaginable as it sounds, kids who were 5-6 years old, were putting their bare feet into the shoes of the factory workers and covered with their long coats, marched together, hidden from the factory to the Aryan side. Kids were smuggled through cellars and sewage canals.

Saved children's documents were falsified of course. Irena was thinking how and where to keep all of the real names of the children, in order to find their families after the war and return them, if possible. She wrote the names of the children on small scraps of papers and was hiding them in glass jars. She kept those jars under an apple tree in a neighbour's house across the street. She practised throwing the jars outside her window, in case of Gestapo invading her apartment. One day, she heard banging on the door. Frantically she wanted to throw the jar with the names outside, but the whole house was surrounded by the Gestapo. She gave the jar to her visiting friend, who hid it in her underwear.

Warsaw, Ghetto deportation

She was arrested by Gestapo in October 1943, put to the harshest prison, Pawiak and tortured. She couldn't be broken, and did not reveal any names of people involved in rescuing Jews or any Jewish children's name in hiding. Her legs and feet were fractured during interrogations.

While in prison, in the midst of the prison's hey bed, she found a picture of Jesus, known among the Catholic believers as an Image of a Divine Mercy, with the words "Jesus, I trust in you" . She kept this picture and cherished it for years, later on sent it to the Polish Pope John Paul II during His first historical visit to Poland.

Finally she was sentenced for death. On the day of her execution, she was led by a prison guard to the execution square, and unexpectedly released to a crowded street behind the heavy gate. Zegota paid the guard huge bribe to let her go. Her name figured on a list of people killed, she read the announcement herself. Later on, Germans discovered that she was not killed and were pursuing her to the end of the war. She had to live in hiding.

According to Irena, the greatest heroes of these rescue missions were not the rescuers, but the mothers of the children, who intuitively sensed the end of their lives approaching and knew that was the only way for their beloveds to be saved from the horror of extermination. She always wanted to write a story about the Jewish mothers, who had to make such a tragic decision, entrusting their kids in the hands of people whom they would probably never meet. Mothers would ask, what guarantee they had for their children survival. The answer Irena provided was as frightening as the whole world around them: zero guarantee. She couldnt even promise safe smuggling behind the walls of Ghetto.

She personally had oversee about 10 apartments where Jews were hidden. Most of the children were sent to the Catholic convents and orphanages. She said:

"No one has ever refused to take and save a Jewish child from me"

Sometimes they had to change childrens housing. On one occasion she was asked by a small boy: "How many mothers can a child have? This one will be my third one".

After the war, she recovered the jars with the children's names and found every child. Most of the parents of the children rescued by Irena died in Treblinka camp.

From an interview in U.S. News:

What was the most frightening moment?

When I saw a priest in charge of an orphanage for Jewish children in the ghetto walk with them out to be killed. The children were in their best Sunday suits. The priest was killed with them.

Forgotten. "I did so little"

After the war, Irena turned to helping young girls coming back from concentration camps. She was trying to help foreign girls who were becoming prostitutes in the remaining ruins of Warsaw to get educated and start a new life.

Because of her involvement with the non-communist organizations during the war, she was interrogated. She went to a premature labor, and as a result her son was stillborn.

For the next 50 years the public did not know of her heroic acts. She was still helping some of the rescued Jewish children. She worked as a humble social worker and a school teacher. She did not belong to the Communist Party, and probably that's why her story was not known, neither published for so long.

Even her own children did not know the details of her rescuing mission. Her own daughter was removed from the list of the University, just one day after passing the entrance exams, and then she asked: "Mom, what have you done in life?". In those times, any involvement of the parents during the WWII in non-communist organizations in the past was seen as threatening influence to the students evolving political and moral ideology.

In 1965 she accorded the title of Righteous Among the Nations by the Yad Vashem organization in Jerusalem. She was not allowed by Communist authorities to travel then to receive her reward.

In 1967 she was forced to retire, at the age of 57, because she was heard rejoicing after Israel has won the conflict in the region.

She visited Israel in 1983 and in 1991 she was made an honorary citizen of Israel.

Irena in the middle, visiting school in Tel Aviv in Israel in 1983.

To the last days of her life she remembered almost everything. On March 15 2007 Irena Sendler was named a national hero by a Polish Parliament.

“I want the Jewish community to know that there was resistance and a spirit among the Jews in the ghetto."

In conclusion let me stress most emphatically that we who were rescuing children are not some kind of heroes. Indeed, that term irritates me greatly.

The opposite is true - I continue to have qualms of conscience that I did so little.

Remembered

Irena's story was read by a group of students in Uniontown, Kansas. They decided to make a play called "Life in a jar". The play is still going on.

The project drew the media attention and students visited Irena Sendlerowa in Poland.

When people form Hollywood came to visit Irena Sendler, hoping to make a movie about her in the future, she ask them:

Make this movie to help Americans understand, what this war really was, what was ghetto like, what kind of fight there was. And that everyone watching it would cry.

Mother of the Holocaust Children

In 2004 first biography of Irena Sendler was published under a title "Mother of the Holocaust Children - The story of Irena Sendler" by Anna Mieszkowska. It was translated into Hebrew and German.

I know this is a bit old; yet... Petition and Wiki sites are for pathetic assholes, I must admit I used to sign/edit a few of them when I was a little bored, but stopped after my comments/edits weren't being shown/kept. There are two possibilities, one, the creator filtered it, or two, and most likely, the shit site replaced them since most did not start out with 'I support this shitty petition', or wasn't on par with Wikipedo's expertise on lolcats' furry shota lingo, or was an internet locale bug, or whatever; in any case they suck, 'cause I'm not a 'noob' and they were not malformed in any way. Besides a couple did came out alright. I mean, how can I get my dayly lol fix, if they're going to be all uptight like that and shit.

First; it's a blonde world. About some weird 16 year old chick wanting to stop labeling blondes as dumb blondes petition:

"What the fuck! What is this shit? I've been thru some serious racist shit, so obviously I'm not a blonde. Now, I wish all I had to quibble about was being mislabeled as dumb. Perhaps you truly are, dumb and shallow that is, after all... I agree; we shouldn't be labeling dumb blondes, blondes; it's plain obvious and hence quite unnecessary.

Ie; you just prove yourself wrong; nice going, idiot... Better make that DUMB IDIOT. Besides; you obviously don't need smarts. It is common knowledge that blondes are the prettiest things, with their lovely 'cyanesc' eyes and their moody palish skin; I don't care how much sunlight ages them, or how dumb they think they are; I love blondes!"

Second; the socker (soccer) and crap (rap) ones, really hurt; I think those were the best. Fortunately, saved a couple:

"Rappers think they are so hXc and the only ones more wannabes than that are the people who actually listen to this shit. The only thing I learnt from it was how to call all girls 'nasty cum bitches' and all black men 'gangbanger rapists', 'niggers and niggas', etc. It's buffoonish; rap 'artists' really just make an ass out of themselves; that's their true entertainment value; they're really clowns.

Rap, I mean cRap, should be more appropriate. I just don't get this whole 'ganga' fascination fad; maybe is a US thing. See, where I'm from, nobody in their right mind would deal with someone like that, a vicious criminal, for something legal that is; let alone glorify their ways and reward them by making them ridiculously rich at the same time. Maybe is the best thing people nowadays can rhyme to, being so profound and complexly deep, and shit; maybe they're just all worked up by seeing someone 'succeed', who is just as stupid, if not more so; maybe it just feels cool to emulate a miserable low life loser. I don't know, I just don't get it, how can it be music if it's not even sang to begin with. Some of those posers are not even real; remember 'Mamilla Ice'? But they speak 'da truth!'; "yo, i wanna be poor like that, dumb like that, shit like that; wooord". The only thing worse is that Reggayton shit, it just must die. If given the choice of cRap and Metal, I would had to prefer demonic racist inbred redneck hillbilly metal anytime. I just love poor white trash, they're kind of cute; in their own bizarre way. But seriously, I like Hard Rock, Alternative, Pop Rock, Classical and Folk, in that order. And dear Phoeb, do you even realize that you're a complete 'noob', by not placing this in a forum thread?! LOL"

But the I hate YGO-GX one, was really distressing; it was the only one that I really cared about:
"I support this petition because I felt there was no real closure to the original; sure they saved the world, but I never found out exactly how. At first I thought there were exploring new arcs, but never really retook the original storyline again (for instance, what happened to the rest of the millennium items?). It just kept getting loonier and sidetracked. I understand that you've got to showcase the GBA game versions in the series (Dice Monsters), and takes of one another; but make a whole new anime for one, WTF?! Also, there's no realm magic (just some mystically gay winged kuriboh), hence just mindless card trowing action; and finally, this shouldn't be named 'Yu-Gi-Oh', since there is no Yugi. Less cheesiness = less flavor, I guess."
That one did came through; sort of.

Finally, some unsent Tatu petition;

ATTSS New Lyrics (ATBC):

All the bitches came, all the bitches came
Riding in my head, riding in my head, riding in my head
All the bitches came, all the bitches came
Riding in my head, riding in my head
All the bitches came, all the bitches came
This is not hard core, this is not hard core

...

Ass whip fuck hard this bitches already. They should go now into real hard core porn, bride sell, or slave themselves; or something like that. (white slavery amirite)

by zEke

Movies that are based on comic books are on fashion these days. Mostly, because they seem to be profitable enough. Truth is, most of them are just about that and forget about the essence of the stories they tell. Thus, after the initial hype they are forever forgotten. Does anyone remember daredevil (2003), the punisher (2004)? I could keep going, but I will not. Even those who manage to stay in our memory are not more than ephemeral entertainment. Good entertainment, but far from providing anything else, which on the other hand they do not have to. batman begins (2005) might be an exception. All this to say that iron man is one of the latter, good entertainment and nothing else.

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is an eccentric industrialist who only cares about the effectiveness of the weapons his company provides to gain peace in the world by means of war, and how to spend his ridiculous fortune. This is until he is captured in Afghanistan by mercenaries who use his very own weapons. To scape he builds an armor. An armor that once back at home and after a severe tuning process turns Stark into his alter ego, Iron Man.

Downey Jr. is perfect as Stark. It is like he was playing himself. Yes, that comfortable he seems playing the role. Unfortunately, he lacks chemistry with Gwyneth Paltrow, who plays Pepper Potts. Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges are symbolic. Specially the latter, whose metamorphosis deserved more attention. But Downey Jr. is able to fill the screen with his presence and it is not that annoying that he does pretty much all the time. I do not think they needed that much time to show us how Stark learns how to fly, though.

Visually, yes, it is what one would expect, spectacular. If you like heavy metal you will enjoy also some of the tunes that liven up the action. Action that mixes well with the humor. Jon Favreau, who is not known for his career as a director, does a good job at mixing all the ingredients of this comic book adaptation. An adaptation that is more an introduction to the characters than anything else. As if they were already thinking about the sequel before releasing it. Of course it was going to work on the box office.

All in all, pure entertainment, with the plus that stands slightly out among comic book adaptations.

For the deadhours of those with an iron heart.

Instead of my mum, I wrote a letter to our dearest Mother Earth this year on mother's day ( May 11th, 2008 )

Dear Mother Earth,
Thanks for being our domain in this universe. You have been here since the day we were born, nurturing us with your abundant gift of nature's wealth til today.

Your forests gave us the freshest air to breath. Your water cleansed and purified our body every day Your warmth hugged us while we woke up. Your ice caps kept our weather and seasons steady. Your oceans provided us with generous nutritions for our health.

We know you cry a lot lately, Mother. Our greed has destroyed your balance each seconds. Your forests destroyed, burn dry, abruptly culled to dust. Your warmth has becoming hotter as our machineries flooded your surface and clouded your sky. Your ice caps melted every second, the polar bears has lost their homes and the ecosystem corrupted. Your oceans polluted with oil residues and other industrial waste.

We've had been blinded by our comfort of your abundant resources.
We've had been ignorant with greed and selfishness.

Please bear with us just a little longer, Mother. We are now trying to control the damage we've done. Please don't shake the ground with another earthquake, we are still recovering from the last time. Please don't flood our city with your tears again, for we've had suffered enough for our own consequences. Please don't frost your heart again, because our children would still want to live here.

We are trying to plant more trees to make you comfortable again, Mother. We are trying to save energy for we know your resources will soon be gone. We are trying to keep the ecosystem balanced again by building more and more natural preservations for the animals.

We know that we are starting with small things, but one thing for sure Mother, we love you very much. Please don't abandon us because we will not abandon you.

Happy mother's day.

Love,
Your children.

How do you know if you’re just down (which makes you see things in a negative way) or if you

How do you know if you're just down (which makes you see things in a negative way) or if you've hit another moment of consciousness when you sense that it is truly the time for change?

I've been feeling this way for quite a long time. But up to now, I have managed to not listening too much to myself and succeeded in getting reminded of all the reasons why I am living this life. However, those excuses which were effective factors of motivation and which helped me to wake up every morning and get things done, have just gone out of effect.

I can't say that I hate my life: I loathe the choices I've made under fear and duty. I can't say that life isn't beautiful: the ugliness resides only in the consequences of my own decisions. Funny that for a claustrophobic like me, I let myself being trapped in my own dissatisfaction.

Seven months ago, I have taken a job that was not in line with my studies and previous experiences, because I had been struggling for too long to finding a position and thought it was better to getting myself busy with something. The other reasons were family related: my parents are finally reassured to seeing me occupied and earning some money. More than that, through me (and the type of work contract I have with the company hiring me), they could have access to bank loans offering very advantageous interest rates, allowing them to finally secure a home for their old days, and this after quite a turbulent life.

Thing is...I detest my job! The tasks and duties are repetitive and annoying. I don't find it interesting at all. I don't feel my personality fits in what this job requires. And above all, because I'm not into it, I make some mistakes which add up to my daily stress. For how long more, will I endure heading to work every day worried and anxious about what will be my boss' remarks/mood/reaction towards my work and possible errors I will have done? For how long more will I fail in not thinking about work during my free time (weekends)? And could you imagine, that despite all that, I spend an incredible and indecent amount of time working extra hours in order to make sure I'm on schedule! Call me a masochist, as consequently, my family and social life are greatly affected.

Speaking of which, I wonder why I worry so much about not allowing myself some more time for social activities, when I can no longer bother going out to the same places, meeting the same dull people, seeing the same faces, hearing the same tiring and non sense speeches. The more time passes by, the more I tend to believe I'm in the wrong place to meet the right people.

Why can't I resolute myself with the idea that you can't have everything anyway (maybe because I want to believe you can)? Why can't I make myself happy with what I have? And why can't I stop thinking that the grass is greener elsewhere?

Yes, I have the chance to living in a beautiful, well organised and secured environment, very close to my parents. Yes, I'm safe from starvation, war, and financial dispair. I have been protected from any kind of suffering (whatever the causes) and thank God, I'm healthy. Yet, I feel something is missing. I have the sensation that I'm not on the right track, that I'm not doing what I am supposed to be doing (or meant for). And I feel extremely unfulfilled.

Gosh. I'm so annoyed. So angry at myself for not knowing what to do. For not knowing how to deal with that whole situation.

I don't want to go to work on Tuesday!! I don't want to feel stressed and pressured anymore!!

Can someone remind me why I should go on like this?

CARAPARICITO, Bolivia — From the time Ronald Larsen drove his pickup truck here from his native Montana in 1969 and bought a sprawling cattle ranch for a song, he lived a quiet life in remote southeastern Bolivia, farming corn, herding cattle and amassing vast land holdings.

The Larsen family patriarch, Ronald, an American, has clashed with Bolivian officials over the working conditions of the Guaraní Indians he employs.

But now Mr. Larsen, 63, has suddenly been thrust into the public eye in Bolivia, finding himself in the middle of a battle between President Evo Morales, who plans to break up large rural estates, and the wealthy light-skinned elite in eastern Bolivia, which is chafing at Mr. Morales’s land reform project to the point of discussing secession.

After armed standoffs with land-reform officials at his ranch this year, Mr. Larsen made it clear which side he was on, emerging as a figure celebrated in rebellious Santa Cruz Province and loathed by Mr. Morales’s government, which wants to reduce ties to the United States.

Two of the most well known sources for IT and tech information WIRED and TechCrunch are now in the m

Two of the most well known sources for IT and tech information WIRED and TechCrunch are now in the middle of a online fight.

The reason? WIRED have published a blog post talking about a new agreement between TechCrunch and The Washington Post saying that The Washington Post will begin running TechCrunch stories in the tech section of its site.

Nothing special about that you might think. But WIRED sees it otherwise. In a blog post a WIRED journalist called Betsy Schiffman writes:

We've got nothing against TechCrunch, but it seems crazy-crazy to us that the Washington Post, a paper known for the sort of reporting that can take down U.S. presidents, is publishing content written by a dude who invests in the companies he writes about. But what do we know.

It's not every day you see a article like that at WIRED. And I'm not the only one how thinks this is a bit strange.

Michael Arrington, the editor of TechCrunch, posted a tweet on Twitter with the following text:

Wow. Fuck you too, Wired. http://tinyurl.com/6gg4o6

Now the comments are are pouring in - both at Twitter, but also at WIRED. And most of the comments are not happy about WIRED way of telling the Washington Post-story.

No doubt that the article by Betsy Schiffman is very personal. Just look at the URL connected to the article

http://blog.wired.com/business/2008/05/techcrunch-butt.html

Not every day that WIRED writes "butt" in their URL's...

Perhaps WIRED are envious that TechCrunch have the tech news first or...

I don't know - but I do know that something like this spreads like wildfire - now it's on Twitter, FriendFeed, WIRED and.... my blog. Perhaps WIRED should have been a little more objective in their article... just a suggestion.

Calling a competitor names is not always a good idea :)

I did not want to write about it again, but after reading this article quoting the interview of Josef Fritzl with his lawyer, published as an attempt to somehow justify man's actions, I must say, that Mr. Josef's explanations are quite lame.

Blaming his childhood upbringing in a Nazi society and his mother's strong personality for his tendencies to be extraordinarily firm and demanding... Blaming his daughter, Elisabeth, for paving the road to her imprisonment by herself, by associating with the wrong crowd, drinking and smoking... Blaming her for being too independent, getting out of his control... Blaming his mind entering into the "vicious cycle, where there is no way out". Blaming his lack of control in regards to raping his daughter often and regularly...

His attempts to gain any bits of sympathy from us, who labeled him as a monster, are endless. His confession of a desire to release the prisoners, stories about bringing them flowers, presents and Christmas trees, his story times about the life "outside", even about his wife Rosemarie being sad not having a contact with her daughter; his care for his daughter well being while pregnant as a result of constant rapes, by allowing her to get educated in the subject of prenatal care and birth and by providing her the necessities to survive this whole time; saying touchy words about building a "new family", bonding times with them, about providing a washing machine and other luxurious equipment... it's all sickening. It's nothing else but keeping control over his slaves, delivering to them bare survival kit day by day, year by year. It's nithing else but shameless admittance of his conscious and focused, deliberate exploitation of others in order to feed his demonic rage, perversion and desires.

He dismisses some parts of Elisabeth's testimony. But guess what, no matter what she says, the whole world will believe her. It's her time to speak up, her time to decide, her time to explain, her time to be number one. It's also her time to forgive.

We've heard enough from Mr. Fritzl. We are ready to hear from the hero herself.

This whole mumbling of his convinces me even more in a fact, that he knew exactly what he was doing, what were the consequences of such a behavior, and with that in mind he continued in his depravity. He wanted this life of 8,516 days of torture to continue.

If the Austrian court will decide that this explanation qualifies as a valid testimony of a person who can't be judged because of his incompatibility with the 'main stream society' morals, then let's examine the other millions who grew up in the same political, cultural and family circumstances. Let's see how many Josefs we can find.

If the Austrian court will decide he is insane, they are insane and we live in an insane world.

Finally I watched "Bella".

Vivid colors, seems like a slow pace story, but how truly resembles the reality of time passing, decision making, consequences revealing. Cool shots and nice music wrap ups.

The message is so innocently positive, although the story has many hidden tragedies, that it is hard not to think about celebrating life given as a gift to live it fully once again.

Vary few movies can express such passions without relating to some extreme scenes, in order to lure the public. Very few can depict family's history as this in one scene, portraying it with hope and charismatic love.

It's not an action, adventure movie. It does not have a plot which will keep you on the edge of your seat. But it has something that I needed. Hope in goodness, charity, love. It brings healing.
