Mesmo sendo filha de Paul Mccartney que eu adoro (junto com o John Lennon na época rock deles, ou seja, sem Yoko Ono pra atrapalhar tudo), antigamente achava as peças da Stella ótimas e tal, mas não era nada que me tirasse o fôlego. Hoje em dia tenho uma verdadeira fixação pelas peças que ela faz, é tudo muito bem acabado, com ótima modelagem e sempre muito desejável, além do que ela reinterpreta tendências como poucos. Dessa vez foram as transparências, que ganharam vida em vestidos lindos feitos de um tipo de telinha com prints ultra-tropicais (como no look maior da imagem acima).

Gosto muito dessa primeira parte do desfile, com uma cartela toda neutra em um bege meio rosado. Reparem nos ótimos conjuntos, ternos com ótimo corte. Também gosto das calças, bem folgadinhas o que parece ser bem confortável. Há também a ótima dica de styling do vestido branco tomara-que-caia, usado com terninho, pra mim este e o look maior transparente são os meus preferidos.

A segunda parte vem recheada de mais neutros, só que dessa vez em preto e cinza. Destaque pro vestido tubinho cinza em tecido com recortes de tecido transparente (outra ótima forma de usar transparência). O vestido de pastilhas com certeza vai aparecer em vários editoriais, e é até usável se tiver por baixo um forro preto (deixando as mangas sem, por exemplo). O tomara-que-caia preto é um amor, bem gostoso o volume da saia. E por último, muitos e muitos looks pretos. É bom prestar atenção pra captar como o preto pode ser usado sim, e muito, no verão!

Os acessórios também foram bons, só não gostei muito das sandálias com salto muito grosso e baixo, mas as com salto mais alto ou fino eram bem bonitas (como as da imagem) e que lindo om salto transparente não é!?! No detalhe, o make bem clean e cabelo também, preso atrás. Por fim, saldo ótimo já que a coleção foi recheada de peças bem desejáveis.

Desde "Breakfast at Tiffany" (ou "Bonequinha de luxo" no título em português) com Audrey Hepburn na cena icônica usando um vestido preto da marca, a Givenchy se eternizou, se tornando uma das marcas francesas mais desejadas. E ela também faz parte da turma (pequena) que eu aprendi a amar com o tempo. Nesse desfile em especial, fiquei bem feliz não só com a coleção (muito boaa!), mas também com o retorno da Ana Claudia Michells para as passarelas internacionais, abrindo o desfile!!! A primeira parte de pretos é muito linda, o vestido de Ana Claudia mesmo é liiindo demais, além dos com recortes transparentes onde por dentro há renda.

As sandálias-bota também aparecem com força e os linnndos lacinhos de cabelo, que sendo da Givenchy são mais especiais ainda. Há também uma sequência de neutros entre a maioria black. Como o amarelo (1° e 2°) com vários babadinhos e bordados em bege. Muito lindo também o vestido cheio de recortes (cheio mesmo, é bem íncrivel ver a modelagem de perto nas fotos de detalhes) rosinha (5°), complementado com o lacinho, desta vez rosa.

A sequência eduardina vem com lindos broches e lacinhos bem em cima da gola de camisas brancas (não me arrisco a dizer que veio de Gossip Girl, mas lá as meninas usam muito nos uniformes), vale anotar pra usar. O trabalho com a transparência e bordados por baixo deu um efeito todo especial a peça. E falando de modelagem, adoro a fofinha usado pela Ana Claudia no último look acima, bem simples e cool (reparem no corpão que a moça tá!).

Givenchy também é meio rock tá gente?! Aliás, adoro essa mistura de feminilidade, originalidade e um pouco de agressividade cool às vezes, como nas imagens acima. Acredite, jeans aparecendo em uma coleção de uma grife como esta é sinal de transgressão. Os recortes são lindos, adoro o jeito que o couro é usado. Os dois últimos dresses entram na lista de peças que todo mundo vai querer usar já, como no soltinho branco e no bordado preto. Saldo excelente da Givenchy (difícil não ser né?!).

Paris, 01. Oktober 2008. "Very eighties“ zeigt sich die neue Kollektion des Labels Givenchy, das ursprünglich für seine klassische Mode bekannt ist. Neu ist dabei die Kombination aus schwarzem Leder, ausgeblichenem Denim und Gold.

Ansonsten wird wild gemixt: Nudetöne und Nieten, liebliche Prints in Schwarz-Weiß im harten Kontrast zu schweren Bikerjacken, Raffungen, asymmetrische Schnitte, Cut-Outs in Schmetterlingsform, Tüll, Seide und Chiffon.

Ein Element, das den meisten Modellen gemeinsam war: die Schleife – auf dem Kopf oder am Hals getragen

NOW I HAVE TO APOLOGIZE FOR ONE THING, I COMPLETELY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THESE PIECES OF ART FROM GIVENCHY ARE MADE OF, MATERIAL WISE.  I WILL COME BACK AND UPDATE ON THESE, TRUST ME!  BUT FOR NOW, JUST LOOK AND ADMIRE....THE PICTURE FRAME ADDS A LITTLE UMPH TO THEM HUH?   LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK?

Estoy confundida, a pesar de que estos zapatos tienen elementos que definitvamente no son de mi gusto, me encantaron: por ejemplo la puntera de bota vaquera aquí se ve con mucho glamur.

Me queda en duda si las botas con dedos al aire son una buena idea. De todas formas los colores me encantaron y sobretodo el animal print de cebra. Wow Givenchy.

I seriously start to think Givenchy's creative director is or used to be a propper Goth, one of those guys that wear black clothes, chains and listen from The Cure to Nin Inch Nails. Even though I like his desings very much and also his S/S 2009 collection, it means nothing new, unlike some fashion critics are ponting out. Dark cowboys? Well, there's a brunch among dark subculture that has been looking exactly the same for years, being inspired by gothic band Fields of the Nephilim. To me, Tisci is pretty much bringing subculture to mainstream catwalks, exactly the same that Marc Jacobs already did with grunge, Sonic Youth and all indie stuff in the 90s. Still, his designs are very clean and beautiful.

Empiezo a pensar que el director creativo de Givenchy es o era un siniestro de verdad, en plan tribu urbana. Aunque me gusta mucho lo que hace y también me ha gustado su colección para primavera/verano 2009, ésta no aporta demasiado nuevo, a diferencia de lo que algunos periodistas anglosajones están diciendo. ¿Cowboys siniestros? Genial, pero ya hay cierto tipo de góticos que llevan ese look desde años, imitando a los Fields of the Nephilim. Para mí, lo que Tisci tiene de "novedoso" es que está poniendo en una pasarela lo que hasta ahora era una subcultura súper minoritaria. Conceptualmente, es exactamente los mismo que ya hizo Marc Jacobs en los 90 con su colección grunge, Sonic Youth y todo el rollo indie. Eso sí, Tisci es muy buen diseñador y hace unos cortes preciosos.

Ein Königreich für diese Schuhe! Für den Absatz bräuchte man einen Waffenschein, Fabrikat ist (die meisten haben es vermutlich sofort erkannt) Martin Margiela. Und wer könnte diese Zipper-Versuchung aus schwarzem Leder besser tragen als La Roitfeld herself? Dass sie auch noch ein Cape von Givenchy S/S 09 trägt, worüber ich heute morgen gerade erst geschrieben hatte, ist dabei fast schon nebensächlich. Aber das wundervollste an diesem Bild ist die dazugehörige Geschichte von Tommy, der Carine ganz unverhofft traf und sie für Jak & Jil ablichtete, mein absoluter Lieblingsblog in Sachen Berichterstattung aus Paris.

It seems Milla is channeling the Olson twins or Lilo. Same old rubberized leggings/slouchy tee/Heidi hairdo combination. Yada, yada, yada. Been there, done that. A million times before.

(On a final note, though, I really do like the jacket.)

How can any woman resist everything about Givenchy?? Ohhh.. the shoes.. the shoes. Hands up if you love it too.

Das französische Modehaus Givenchy zeigte gerade in Paris und die Entwürfe von Chefdesigner Riccardo Tisci entlocken kein "Wow, was für eine gelungene Kollektion!" oder "Oh, wie enttäuschend!". Nein, es gab Horrosszenarien in Form von knallengen Lederhosen zu Oberteilen, die unfassbar unvorteilhaft sind. Und es gab den Megakontrast: schmeichelnde Kleider aus Seide, Chiffon und Spitze - das kleine Schwarze bravourös in die Jetztzeit geholt, aber seht selbst...

Und jetzt zu den Highlights:

Nur über die Schleife auf dem Kopf lasse ich mit mir diskutieren!

Wahnsinn! Ich würde anders gucken, wenn ich diesen Traum tragen dürfte.

Und ich sage JA zur Radlerhose! Das kleine Schwarze 2009. Nur, was sind das für Augenringe?!? Ja, sie läuft überall und langsam schlauchen die Modewochen...

Je me suis demandée si c'était bien Justin Timberlake. J'avais un doute. Lui, ou pas ? Comme on était coincés dans les bouchons ... J'ai examiné son nez ... Ses yeux ... Et j'étais incapable de dire si c'était lui ou non. Mais vraiment. Et j'étais vexée en fait.

Finalement internet m'a donné la réponse, c'est bien Justin, qui fait de la pub pour le nouveau parfum Givenchy, "Play". Mais si j'avais un doute, c'est parce que ça aurait pu être un mannequin qui avait un air de Justin Timberlake, et dont la ressemblance aurait été accentuée par Photoshop ... (et puis faut dire que je suis pas tombée sur la bonne photo).

Je dois être parano. Mais bon, même si c'est lui, après le travail de Photoshop sur ses photos, même Justin Timberlake ne ressemble plus à Justin Timberlake. J'aime Photoshop. Mais Photoshop nous trompe.

On the Saturday before Paris fashion week took off, as the world’s financial markets teetered and luxury retailers chewed their nails over recession fears, business was booming at La Vallée Village, a luxury outlet mall a half-hour outside of Paris near Euro Disney.

Shoppers worked through clothing racks with intensity — none of the languid browsing one sees in the full-priced boutiques along the Avenue Montaigne. It was elbow-to-elbow in Armani, Givenchy was being thoroughly picked through, Polo Ralph Lauren’s clubby shelves were like a cornfield after a swarm of locusts, and even the Chantelle lingerie outlet was abuzz.

European Union outlet malls offer safer bargains than American outlets because they are more closely regulated. Brands are not permitted to manufacture special lower-quality products for the outlets. This provides a guarantee that, though you’re buying last-season’s leftovers, you’re getting the real deal. It is even possible to find a runway look or two on some of these shelves.

Another rule requires that outlet goods be sold at a minimum discount of 33% — though the discounts can be much higher. At La Vallée’s Christian Lacroix outlet, a cream-colored wool coat with grosgrain detailing at the pockets was marked down to 660 euros from 2,200 euros. An elaborately detailed cashmere dress was priced at 387 euros, down from 1,290 euros.

La Vallée is owned by the London-based development concern Value Retail, and has sister outlet malls near London, Milan, Frankfurt and Barcelona, among other gateway European cities. About 40% of La Vallée’s business comes from international visitors, but this percentage is falling due to the high value of the euro, says Vanessa Guillemette, senior marketing manager for the mall. She’s working hard to convince Parisians to venture out to the southeast of the city, an area that has never been considered top-notch by the couture crowd.

Et oui chers amis lecteurs, vous ne savez pas à quoi de ressemble si ce n'est mon oeil mais bon ce n'est pas grand chose même si quelques poètes vous diraient que ce petit morceau que j'offre à nu n'est autre que le miroir de mon âme et là, et bien on a tout dit... Bon d'accord, pour les plus terre à terre et bien voilà je me dévoile :

Alors non, ce n'est pas un marocain dans un avion... Ni moi, je n'ai pas cette prétention. Donc non, vous ne saurez pas à quoi je ressemble mais vous savez désormais comment je sens. Je n'ai pas trouvé de publicité de Prada (l'autre parfum que je mets souvent) désolé.

Si vous êtes sage, demain je dévoilerai mes pieds, il parait que certains d'entre vous (je ne citerai pas de nom mais ils se reconnaitront) adorent lécher les pieds... allez savoir pourquoi ! Mais c'est toujours un plaisir de vous donner de quoi nettoyer vos écrans par vous même ! ;-)

Nach sehr vielen kommerziellen Kollektionen in den anderen Mode-Hauptstädten schauen nun mal wieder alle Augen nach Paris. 95 Kollektionen stehen auf dem offiziellen Schauenkalender, der immer internationaler wird. Thailändische Prinzessinnen, ägyptische Desigerinnen, Inder, Chinesen, Russen - nicht zu vergessen die Belgier, die Japaner und die wieder erwachten altehrwürdigen Pariser Modehäuser, wie Lanvin, Balenciaga, Balmain, Givenchy. 

Der sonst eher ruhige erste Tag bietet in diesem Jahr ein Highlight: Der britische Nachwuchsstar Gareth Pugh zeigt erstmalig in Paris. Pugh hatte 2008 den renommierten und gut dotierten Modepreis ANDAM gewonnen. Aus Deutschland sind diesmal fünf Modehäuser auf den On-Kalender vertreten: Neben Bless, Lutz, Bernhard Willhelm und Wunderkind sind erstmalig Talbot-Runhof mit dabei.
