Keyshia Cole Brang the legendary SCARFACE.

Ever since that shelter event on Sunday (see previous post), I have Chihuahuas on the brain. So...the movie “Beverly Hills Chihuahua” hasn’t even hit theaters yet but the Humane Society is already prepared for the fallout. They fear that people who see the movie will want Chihuahuas en masse after they see the film. The HS said this week that history has shown when a particular breed appears in movies or on TV the demand for them surges at puppy mills.

So, the HS is urging people who decide a Chihuahua is the right dog for them to visit shelters and rescues first - and to never purchase a dog from a pet store or the Internet which is a prime marketplace for puppy mill puppies.

Thankfully, Disney, the maker of the film, is supporting this sentiment. On the film’s website and at the end of the movie, a warning appears: “Owning a pet is a major responsibility. Dogs require daily care and constant attention. Before bringing a dog into your family, research the specific breed to make sure it is suitable for your particular situation. Learn about and be willing to undertake the serious responsibilities of dog care. Always consider adoption from a reputable shelter or rescue program.”

Kudos to Disney for putting a spotlight on shelter and rescue animals!

Penso em dar uma continuidade ao post As Blogueiras Mais Bonitas, desde que o escrevi. Como assim uma continuidade? Não, não estou falando de uma continuação do post em si. Mesmo porquê, se fosse pra fazer isso, eu mudaria o nome da atração Top 5 para Top 10. Então, do quê que eu estou falando? Creio que, pelo título do post, vocês já devem ter deduzido a resposta, né? É isso mesmo, hoje eu listarei Os Blogueiros Mais Bonitos da blogosfera brasileira.

Mas vamos com calma. Antes de continuar, darei algumas explicações. Para que vocês (leitores) não levantem dúvidas capciosas sobre a minha pessoa.

Primeiro, por quê fazer uma lista de homens bonitos? Simples, porque o nosso público não é formado apenas por homens. Tudo bem, até onde eu sei, o número de leitoras assíduas (do Musashinm) é pequeno, mas, mesmo assim, não posso (e nem quero) me dar ao luxo de dispensa-las.

Segundo (mas não menos importante): "Não!". Esta lista não foi compilada por mim. Além do mais: "Macho que é macho, não acha outro homem bonito! No máximo boa pinta." (rs); como diria um grande amigo meu. Então, quem compilou o Top 5 de hoje? Espero que todos vocês já conheçam o blog Pano de Chão (até porquê ele é um de nossos parceiros), da nossa querida Elisa França:

Fui convidada a fazer um texto sobre os 5 blogueiros mais bonitos e me deparei com duas questões fundamentais:

1. O que é beleza? (Sim. Eu sei. Eu tenho pensamentos profundos.)
2. Como escolher 5 blogueiros dentre os milhões que existem e os 3 que eu conheço?

Bem... Infelizmente, ainda não cheguei a um conceito de beleza, mas descobri que garimpar a internet é uma das coisas que eu faço melhor. Espero que apreciem essa lista tanto quando eu. Com vocês, os TOP 5 em beleza masculina da blogosfera.

   Opinião(ões): Começo a lista com a sensualidade em forma de música: Jimi Hendrix cantando Foxy Lady. Foi essa canção que me veio à cabeça quando fui fuçar o flickr (*) do Ian Black. Não sei bem a razão. Talvez a pele morena e os cabelos rebeldes, talvez o cachimbo e os olhos cansados...Só sei que ele tem uma beleza do tipo loucura 70's style (seja lá o que isso queira dizer)...
2. Blogueiro: Luis Celso Jr.
   Blog: Bar do Celso
   Opinião(ões): Um tipinho meio tímido, meio nerd, meio frágil. Luis Celso Junior nunca seria escalado para ser o bandido do filme. Esse rosto rosado, esse sorriso inocente...Fala se não é o protótipo do bom moço?

   Opinião(ões): Aaaah o Benê...Um metro e setenta e dois centímetros de puro galantismo. Radialista, apresentador e analista esportivo.    Opinião(ões): Confesso que tenho certa tara por bochechas e se tratando de bochechas, o Adaildo é rei! Além de blogueiro, ele é atleta e revela: "Gosto muito de basquete, futebol e volley, mas prefiro ficar no aconchego no meu sofá". Fofo, não? Mas nem pensem em oferecer almofadas, suas assanhadas! Adaildo é casado e pai de família. Esse pão já tem padeira!

   Blog: JorgeRoriz
   Opinião(ões): Quando o vi, soube que era ele: o galã dos galãs da blogosfera. Sem discussão. Imbatível. Um poeta sonhador, que acredita que o amor é a mais poderosa força do universo (palavras dele mesmo). E que benção divina seria receber o amor poderoso desse homem másculo, bigodudo e cheio de carinho pra dar.

Importante: Todos devem ter notado que a lista está ao contrário, né? O grande campeão é o Jorge Roriz (?).

Giant Robot is proud to present Temporary Home, a group show featuring new works by Kelie Bowman, Lilli Carre, Mollie Goldstrom, and Elisabeth Timpone.

Kelie Bowman presents odd images in a straightforward manner, mixing humans, nature, and figures of speech in her paintings and prints. The cool colors and atmosphere of her work belies its unpredictability--a world of not chaos but whimsy. She is the co-founder of Cinders Gallery in Brooklyn.

Chicago-based Lilli Carre is a student of animation and print who has released the fantastic, heartbreaking indie comic Tales of Woodsman Pete and been featured in Best American Comics. At once, her style recalls both the traditional, classic look of Herge and the bold darkness of Charles Burns.

Mollie Goldstrom is the creative force behind Tree Crime, a hand-sewn indie comic with a cardstock cover. Equally comfortable creating highly detailed etching-style illustration or surreal, out-of-control art comics, the Brooklyn resident's style is highly diverse but ultimately straightforward communication.

The bold art of Elisabeth Timpone is reminiscent of cave paintings or "the landing strips of the gods," but is actually much more detailed and crafty than either. The Brooklyn artist's swirling, organic linework--often used to depict non-anthropomorphized creatures such as wolves and birds--is striking, stylish, and hypnotic.

A reception for Bowman, Carre, Goldstrom, and Timpone will be held from 6:30 to 10:00 on Saturday, September 13. For more information about the artists, GRNY, or Giant Robot magazine, please contact GRNY.

This year, Tiffany and I went to Wisconsin.  Her Step-father has a cabin on a lake in Chetek, Wisconsin.  You may know it as the "Chain of Lakes."  It was the best kind of vacation...we did absolutely nothing aside from fish, sleep, gamble (a little), look for bears, and eat.  Oh did I mention sleep?

Here you will see Foxy.  She's my child...I mean my dog.  You can almost hear her say, "Hey dad, are we there yet?"

Jackie O y yo teníamos una conversación sobre la zorres ja ja, bueno, no podemos evitarlo, somos mujeres, somos lindas (ay el ego) tenemos nuestro pegue y no podemos evitar querer sentirnos deseadas por hombres y mujeres, quien diga que no le encanta sentirse así, miente.

Pero lo que no entiendo, es el afán de querer dar una imagen de niña o niño bueno cuando en el fondo la mayoría sabe como eres, no tiene caso, es hipocresía pura, hay que aceptar las cosas, en el caso de las mujeres es más el temor por el qué dirán, pero no creo que eso importe mucho la verdad, solo son unos cuantos hombres los que piensan como machos retrógradas... a la mayoría les encanta una mujer deshinibida... muchos darían lo que fuera por no tener en su cama a una frígida e hipócrita mujer.... y al contrario tener a una mujer que les de gusto, y lo mismo a las mujeres, hay hombres que en la cama se comportan como si estuvieran en el siglo 18, solo quieren su propio placer y eso, no es lindo, algunos se molestan, si te mueves poquito ya eres de lo peor, si quieres probar algo nuevo ¿dónde lo aprendiste?,Gosh que pensamientos. El tiempo pasa y no perdona, cuando ya estén viejos y quieran vivir la vida, no se podrá, pero eso si, todo con responsabilidad y precaución para no salir con que a Chuchita la  bolsearon ja ja.

Pero en fin, de todo hay en la viña del Señor... bienvenidos a nuestro Ménage à trois....

Salimos a la calle y el aire helado de las mañanas otoñales nos golpea en plena cara. Comenzamos a caminar, él con su trufita pegada al suelo buscando rastros que los animales dejan por el bosque cada noche y yo encogida del frio pero disfrutando de la paz que reina a esas horas y de la belleza suprema que nos regalan los árboles en esta epoca.

Caminamos a la par, cada uno sumido en su mundo pero conscientes a la vez de la presencia del otro. La serenidad se apodera de mí, el olor a tierra mojada, sumada al crujido de las hojas secas de los árboles y la sucesión de colores rojos, amarillos y ocres me resulta tan placentera como apaciguante...

Y entonces, en la otra orilla aparece mi tesoro del año, una imagen para recordar.

Me siento en el viejo puente de madera y disfruto abrazada a mi pequeño calefactor peluchoso. Esto sí que no tiene precio.

Ainsssssss añoro el otoño, ¿cuando llegará?

Foxy y metoxi foxy son nombres comunes que recibe una droga sintética cuyo nombre químico es 5-metoxi-N,N-diisopropiltriptamina (5-MeO-DIPT). Droga de la que se abusa por los efectos alucinogénicos que produce, foxy pertenece a una categoría de compuestos químicos conocidos como triptaminas. (Entre otras triptaminas alucinogénicas están la psilocibina y la psilocina.)

¿Qué apariencia tiene Foxy?

Foxy se presenta normalmente en forma de polvo, cápsula, o tableta. (Por lo general, el polvo se introduce en las cápsulas o se comprime para formar tabletas antes de venderse a los usuarios.) Algunas cápsulas y tabletas contienen foxy en polvo mezclado con otros polvos de color azul, verde, rojo, morado, tostado, naranja, gris, o rosa. Las tabletas a veces llevan impresos logotipos tales como arañas o cabezas de extraterrestres.

¿Cómo se usa Foxy?

Foxy se consume normalmente por vía oral en dosis de entre 6 y 20 miligramos, si bien la dosificación varía grandemente. También puede administrarse la droga fumándola o aspirándola por la nariz. Por lo general, los usuarios comienzan a sentir los efectos de la droga luego de transcurridos entre 20 y 30 minutos de su administración. Los efectos alucinogénicos llegan al punto máximo al cabo de unos 60 a 90 minutos y generalmente duran de 3 a 6 horas.

¿Quiénes abusan de Foxy?

Son los adolescentes y los jóvenes adultos principalmente los que abusan de foxy. La droga se usa con frecuencia en los reventones, centros nocturnos, y otros sitios donde se han entronizado las drogas de club, en especial la MDMA (éxtasis). Para aprovechar la popularidad de la MDMA y otras drogas de club, los distribuidores venden foxy y otras sustancias sintéticas no controladas en esos ambientes. Sin embargo, la Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) (Administración de Control de Drogas) sumó foxy a las sustancias controladas mediante su inclusión en un listado de emergencia en abril de 2003.

¿Qué riesgos presenta?

Foxy produce diversos efectos físicos y psicológicos negativos en los usuarios. Entre los efectos físicos se cuentan dilatación de la pupila, trastornos y distorsiones visuales y auditivas, náuseas, vómitos, y diarreas. Entre los efectos psicológicos asociados con foxy están alucinaciones, locuacidad, y aflicción emocional. Foxy también reduce las inhibiciones de los usuarios, lo que frecuentemente conduce a actividades sexuales de alto riesgo.

Además, foxy es una droga cuyos efectos dependen de la dosis administrada, lo que significa que un aumento en la dosis puede producir el correspondiente aumento de la intensidad de los efectos que produce la droga. Por ejemplo, si se duplica una dosis de 6 miligramos, los efectos que produce son semejantes a los que se asocian al LSD.

¿Es ilegal Foxy?

Sí, foxy es ilegal. En abril de 2003, la DEA (Administración de Control de Drogas) incluyó temporalmente foxy en la Lista I de la Ley de Sustancias Controladas. Las drogas de la Lista I, que incluyen la heroína y la MDMA, tienen gran potencial de abuso y no tienen finalidad médica legítima alguna en los Estados Unidos.

While still a teenager, Foxy Brown won a talent contest in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. At the time, production team Trackmasters were working on LL Cool J's Mr. Smith album, the pair were in attendance that night and being impressed, they decided to let her rap over "I Shot Ya." Foxy Brown followed her debut with appearances on several RIAA platinum and gold singles from other artists, including remixes of songs "You're Makin' Me High" by Toni Braxton. Foxy Brown was also featured on the soundtrack to the 1996 film The Nutty Professor, on the songs "Touch Me Tease Me" by Case and "Ain't No Nigga" by Jay-Z. The immediate success led to a label bidding war at the beginning of 1996, and in March, Def Jam Records won as they added the then 16 year old talent to their roster.

In 1996 Foxy Brown released her debut album Ill Na Na to mixed reviews but strong sales. The album sold over 109,000 copies in the first week, and debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 album charts. The album was heavily produced by Trackmasters, and featured guest appearances from Jay-Z, Blackstreet, Method Man, and Kid Capri. The album went on to go platinum selling over 3 million records in the US, 6 million worldwide and launched 2 hit singles: "Get Me Home" (featuring Blackstreet) and "I'll Be" (featuring Jay-Z).

Following the release of Ill Na Na, Foxy Brown joined fellow New York based hip hop artists, Nas, AZ and Nature to form the supergroup known as The Firm. The album was released via Aftermath Records and was produced and recorded by the collective team of Dr. Dre, The Trackmasters, and Steve "Comissioner" Stout of Violator Entertainment. An early form of The Firm appeared on "Affirmative Action," from Nas' second album, It Was Written. A remix of the song, and several group freestyles were in the album, Nas, Foxy Brown, AZ, and Nature Present The Firm: The Album. The album entered the Billboard 200 album chart at No. 1 and sold over 1 000,000 records and is RIAA certified platinum.

On 25 January, 1997 Foxy Brown spat on 2 hotel workers in Raleigh, North Carolina when they told her they didn't have an iron available. When she missed a court appearance, an arrest warrant was issued and she finally turned herself in on 30 April, 1997. Foxy Brown eventually received a 30 day suspended sentence and was ordered to perform 80 hours of community service.

In March 1997, she joined the spring break festivities hosted by the MTV cable television network in Panama City, Florida, among other performers including rapper Snoop Dogg, pop group The Spice Girls, and rock band Stone Temple Pilots. Later, she joined the Smokin' Grooves tour hosted by the House of Blues with the headlining rap group Cypress Hill, along with other performers like Erykah Badu, The Roots, OutKast, and The Pharcyde, the tour set to begin in Boston, Massachusetts in the summer of 1997. However, after missing several dates in the tour, she left it.

Foxy Brown made an appearance on Ricky Lake in 1998 and mentioned that she had been cast alongside Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz in the 2000 film Charlie's Angels. However, due to her legal troubles around that time she was replaced, at first by Thandie Newton, and ultimately by Lucy Liu.

On 20 January, 1999 Foxy Brown released her second album Chyna Doll, delayed from its original November 1998 release date. It entered the Billboard 200 charts at number 1, selling 173,000 copies in its opening week. However, its sales quickly declined in later weeks. The album's lead single "Hot Spot" failed to enter the top 50 of the Billboard pop charts, as did the follow-up single, "I Can't" (featuring Total). Chyna Doll has been certified platinum after surpassing 1 000,000 copies in sales.

On 3 July, 1999 Foxy Brown was escorted off the stage by police at a concert in Trinidad and Tobago for using obscene language but was neither charged nor arrested. In 2000, she announced she was suffering from depression and entered rehab at Cornell University Medical College for an addiction to prescription painkillers, in particular, morphine, even stating that she couldn't perform or make records unless she was on the illegal drug. On 6 March, 2000 Foxy Brown crashed her Range Rover in Flatbush, Brooklyn. That year she was also arrested for driving without a license.

In 2001, Foxy Brown released Broken Silence. Its first single was "BK Anthem" showcased Foxy Brown changing to a "street" image and giving a tribute to her hometown Brooklyn and famous rappers such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z. The second single from the album was "Oh Yeah", which featured her then-boyfriend, Jamaican dancehall artist Spragga Benz. The album debuted on the Billboard Charts at No. 5, selling 131,000 units its first week. Like previous albums, Broken Silence also sold over 1 000,000 records and is certified platinum by the RIAA.

In 2002, Foxy Brown returned to the music scene briefly with her single "Stylin'", whose remix featured rappers Birdman, her brother Gavin, Loon, and N.O.R.E. was to be the first single off of her upcoming album Ill Na Na 2: The Fever. Threat of arrest faced her following an altercation at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, Jamaica from July she would be arrested if she ever would return to the country. The next year, she was featured on DJ Kayslay's single "Too Much for Me" from his Street Sweeper's Volume One Mixtape. Foxy Brown also appeared on Luther Vandross' final studio album Dance with My Father. That April, Foxy Brown appeared on popular New York radio jock Wendy Williams' radio show, and revealed the details of her relationships with Lyor Cohen, president of Def Jam Recordings at the time, and Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. Foxy Brown accused both of illegally trading her recording masters. Foxy Brown also announced that Cohen shelved her long awaited fourth album Ill Na Na 2: The Fever over personal disagreements. Therefore, "Stylin'" was released on the compilation album The Source Presents: Hip Hop Hits Vol. 6 in December 2002.

In 2004, Foxy Brown reunited with her old friend and mentor Jay-Z, when he became the president of Def Jam and signed her to its subsidiary, Roc-A-Fella Records. Later that year, Foxy Brown joined Jay-Z and several other hip-hop acts on his Jay-Z and Friends tour. Foxy Brown began recording her fourth solo album, Black Roses. Its first single was "Come Fly With Me" featuring Sizzla. Other tracks Foxy Brown recorded included a remix of the song "You Already Know" by the R&B group 112.

On 29 August, 2004 Foxy Brown attacked 2 manicurists in Chelsea, Manhattan during a dispute over a $20 bill that she refused to pay, and she in April 2005 pled not guilty to assault charges and entered 3 years of probation effective October 2006. For that incident, she would also take anger management classes. Female rapper Jacki-O, in April 2005, alleged that she and Foxy Brown got into a physical altercation at a recording studio in Miami, Florida, saying that Foxy Brown came into the studio during her session and expected her to "bow down" to her. The next month, Foxy Brown denied any such altercation in an interview with the Miami, Florida hip-hop radio station WEDR.

Joseph Tacopina, Foxy Brown's attorney, stated on 5 December, 2005 that he wanted to confirm rumors that Foxy Brown was almost totally deaf and claimed that he could no longer communicate with her verbally. Foxy Brown told reporters on 15 December that she was diagnosed with sudden hearing loss in May while she was recording her upcoming album. Shortly after Tacopina spoke to the public about her hearing condition, news spread that Foxy Brown had fired him. According to reports, Tacopina was never given permission by Foxy Brown or her agent to discuss her medical condition to reporters.

As a result of her legal troubles, Foxy Brown entered a confrontation with radio host Egypt on New York City radio station WWPR-FM ("Power 105.1"). Foxy Brown pled not guilty in March 2007 to assaulting a beauty supply store employee. Foxy Brown's other arrests during 2007 included leaving New York state without permission during probation, hitting a neighbor with a BlackBerry, and almost running over a stroller with a baby inside.

On 24 July, 2008 publisher Simon & Schuster Inc. sued Foxy Brown in state court in New York claiming that it paid Foxy Brown $75,000 under a 2006 contract for an autobiography tentatively titled "Broken Silence" and Foxy Brown never delivered on the contract. The case is Simon & Schuster v. Inga Marchand, 110125/2008, New York State Supreme Court (Manhattan).

On 7 September, 2007, New York Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson sentenced Foxy Brown to 1 year in jail for violating her probation that stemmed from the 2004 fight with 2 manicurists in a New York City nail salon. Foxy Brown was eventually released from prison on 18 April, 2008. No mention was made during the trial by anyone about Foxy Brown expecting a baby. On 12 September, 2007 her representatives stated the rapper was not pregnant in response to claims by her lawyer that she was.

On 23 October, 2007, Foxy Brown was given 76 days in solitary confinement due to a physical altercation that took place on 3 October, 2007 with another prisoner. According to the prison authorities, Foxy Brown, the next day after the incident, was also verbally abusive toward correction officers and refused to take a random drug test. Prison authorities reported on 27 November that she was released "from solitary confinement...for good behavior", and Foxy Brown was finally released from prison on 18 April, 2008.

Back to the point Gorrill.

As you're aware (or not - so for those who aren't, ignore that first part and simply read on) the Bumble and I are currently living at his Mum's while we wait to move into our new gaff. It's rather gorgeous living here (apart from the commute) because there's a lovely great big garden we can lay about in being Suburbian (well before our alloted time) and taking advantage of having somewhere to hang laundry to dry (I know, the excitement is overwhelming you so far...grit your teeth, hunker down and work through this with me).

In the giant garden there was born a very cute (and noisy and mischevious) family of foxes much earlier this year. The majority of them seem to have moved on to grander (at least more distant) climes but one of the babies (who isn't so much of a baby any more) has stuck around.
Growing up in the sticks I always rather thought that I knew about foxes and their behaviour and interraction with humans (i.e. run like the wind, the Redcoats are coming) but I wasn't at all prepared for urban foxes. A few weeks ago I was in the kitchen cooking dinner, door wide open (best option when I'm cooking, really - provides both replacement air for the, um, smoke I create - and an easy escape route when things go awry. Not if. When.) and Fantastic Mr Fox strolled casually to the doorway (the cats fleeing inside at his approach) took some of the cat's dinner that was sitting there and then turned to look at me, frozen in the kitchen at a fox being at the door, sat down and slowly licked his lips, looking at me with utter disdain and contempt before turning his back haughtily and swaggering off.

The family have taken to putting food out in the garden for him and he obviously fancied some lunch just as I was outside hanging out laundry; he's rather handsome, if a little flea bitten, and not at all shy. He came close enough to have a sniff in the laundry basket I was standing next to to see if there was anything edible in there. Publisher Simon & Schuster is suing rappers Foxy Brown and Lil Kim. Both women are accused of receiving tens of thousands of dollars in advances while failing to deliver the books they promised to write.

The publishing house, a unit of CBS Corp said today in separate lawsuits filed in state court in New York that Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, and Lil' Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, signed contracts to write books.

Simon & Schuster said it paid Brown $75,000 under a 2006 contract for an autobiography tentatively titled Broken Silence.'' The publisher said Lil' Kim signed a contract in 2004 and was paid $40,000 for an untitled novel. Continue Reading.....

Los primeros pasos para el desembarco de una nueva droga sintética en Argentina tuvo lugar a fines del año pasado durante una jornada de música electrónica. La imagen acostumbrada de los tradicionales traficantes de drogas está dando paso a una nueva generación de dealers, hombres de mundo, que dominan varios idiomas y conocen la geografía de los centros nocturnos de las principales capitales del planeta. Ese atractivo extra les permite ser respetados y escuchados entre sus futuros clientes.

Y el marketing de presentación de estas nuevas sustancias siempre apunta al mismo tipo de mentiras. Dicen que son inocuas, que no producen daños directos ni colaterales, que no dejan resaca después de su consumo y que, ingeridas en las dosis recomendadas, no producen contraindicaciones. No son baratas, pero tampoco causan estragos y sus efectos generan estados casi mágicos, es la expresión clara que utilizan para obtener interesados en su consumo.

El nuevo producto por el cual ya hay jóvenes que preguntan se llama “Foxi” en las calles norteamericanas y europeas. Es un alucinógeno científicamente conocido como “Alfa metiltriptamina” o “foximethoxy” y lo más terrible del engaño con qué se presenta en el mercado es que se dice que actúa como “inductor de sueños infantiles”. Es decir, una persona que se mueve alocadamente al ritmo de una música puede entrar en trances en los cuales se produce una regresión y un proceso de conducta similar al de los bebés. Por lo que el sujeto pierde todo sentido de la realidad, del peligro, de lo que ocurre a su alrededor y el cuerpo se desmembra de la conciencia mientras dura el efecto de la sustancia.

Aunque la presunción psiquiátrica elemental es que un alucinógeno capaz de inducir a sueños infantiles puede derivar en brotes psicóticos y esquizofrénicosentre los consumidores, en los Estados Unidos descubrieron problemas físicos impensados entre los consumidores: antes de que el cerebro comience a disfuncionar por el efecto del alucinógeno, en el cuerpo se perciben síntomas que jamás causó otro tipo de sustancias. Se trata de una dolencia conocida como “rabdomiolisis”, una enfermedad en la cual los músculos se desintegran o disuelven produciendo una muerte segura en poco menos de una hora de tomada la dosis.

Los centros asistenciales en Estados Unidos que estudiaban pacientes internados con estos síntomas, no sabían a qué atribuir esta extraña dolencia en personas jóvenes. Hasta que hace poco tiempo la “Fundación de la Cleveland Clinic en Ohio” produjo un informe a raíz de que un muchacho de 23 años fue internado con síntomas de haber consumido un cóctel de drogas y alcohol, pero sus síntomas graves no fueron solo la intoxicación sino el comienzo del atrofiamiento casi instantáneo de toda su masa muscular. “El sujeto llegó al departamento de emergencia por conducta agresiva y alucinaciones... había ingerido 25 miligramos de Foxi media hora antes de comenzar con los síntomas...”.

Los autores del informe clínico recomendaron a las sociedades médicas norteamericanas conocer la morbilidad y mortalidad potencialmente graves relacionadas con la Foxy y otros alucinógenos cuyos consumos aumentan cada vez más.

Aunque erróneamente hay quienes suponen que de estas cosas no se debe hablar para no fomentar su consumo, lo cierto es que escondiendo la basura debajo de la alfombra e ignorando las consecuencias letales que aparejan estas nuevas drogas de laboratorio, nunca se logrará la prevención adecuada.

La tentación de tomar unas gotas que induzcan a tener sueños infantiles es demasiado poderosa para las mentes inexpertas, pero sus consecuencias son terriblemente fatales, como recién se empieza a ver en los Estados Unidos. En Argentina, el marketing del “Foxi” ya está en pleno desarrollo.
