1. Edit your Extensions.txt file: C:\\Documents and Settings\\User\\Application Data\\Macromedia\\Dreamweaver 8\\Configuration
2. Add in the new file extension into its type: HTM,HTML,HTA,HTC,XHTML,THTML:HTML Documents
3. Now Dreamweaver recognizes the new file types but to get code highlighting you need to edit your MMDocumentTypes.xml file: C:\\Program Files\\Macromedia\\Dreamweaver 8\\Configuration\\DocumentTypes
4. Add in the new file extension to HTML winfileextension.

Do we really need to spend the cash each time the Creative Suite is updated by Adobe? I'm not totally convinced that we do. Some releases of the software have been amazing (I think CS2 - CS3 was a huge jump) but some are not that great.

Now the suite we buy at work is used by both myself (web guy) and our print designer so the improvements are gauged by the two of us. The reality for me is that there are some cool improvements in DW CS4 but I think that I could be completely happy with Coda 1.5 as a coding tool.  Coda is only $99 USD so it's a whole lot cheaper than CS4.

Ultimately I think that we have to be intelligent with our funds both for our workplace and as freelancers. I will evaluate all of the Creative Suite and see if the improvements are worth the upgrade cost. What are you going to do?

C'est donc le CRI qui me fournit les liens via Shibboleth qu'il faut mettre en place depuis notre portail. Si j'ai bient tout compris, l'identification se fait sur le serveur CAS, qui redirige vers shibboleth, qui fait le lien vers la ressource.

Je me suis aperçu que ce lien, entré dans la fenêtre lien de l'onglet "propriété" de Dreamweaver est "interprété" par Dreamweaver qui par exemple convertit les caractères "%2F" en "/ ". Allez savoir pourquoi, mais ce lien ne fonctionne plus, Shibboleth renvoyant systématiquement une erreur. La bonne démarche est de mettre le lien dans le code dans la balise <a href="lien"></a>

J'utilise Dreamweaver MX 2004. Le problème de pose-t'il sur d'autres versions ou d'autres éditeurs de code ? Le mystère reste entier et m'a fait perdre énormément de temps...

Già in questi mesi si è già sentito parlare della nuova suite cs4 da parte di Adobe sia sul sito di Adobe Labs con le versioni beta sia su alcuni blog di Adobe group però la data non era stata ancora definita dalla casa madre.

Ed ecco con tanta trepidazione che il 23 settembre Adobe toglierà i veli alla nuova suite CS4 così potremmo sapere esattamente le nuove migliorie e implementazioni su ogni applicazioni, c’è molta attesa per il rilascio della versione 4 della Creative Suite perchè hanno fatto trapelare un supporto dell’architettura a 64-bit, anche se a dire il vero non si sa poco e se verrà implementata su il Mac osx. Segnatevi sul Calendario digitale o cartaceo questa data perchè sarà da rimanere stupiti.

Sul sito adobe.istreamplanet.com verrà effettutata una web broadcast che si terrà il 23 settembre in europa sarà alle ore 11.00 per partecipare dovrete iscrivervi compilando un form con dei dati e vi arriverà una email con le istruzione per partecipare.

First you need to make a style sheet. So either tap your own code in or put this for an example:

.style1 {
font-family: "Arial", Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 12px;
color: #FFFF00;
font-weight: regular;

Save the above code in a file called 'style1.css'

Now every page you make for the website can link to this file. Between the <head> and <head/> tags place this code:

There we go, job done. Just carry on using the styles as normal!

Place this code just the 'td tag' of the table cell:

You may want to edit the '200px' to the height you want.

I found no 'attractive' way of using HTML tables, so decided to do the following:

The easiest way to do this is to go to the top of your document (code view, if your using a program) and add this anywhere in your style set (under style type="text/css"...)

Now what you are going to do is create a 'type' of table cell. You give this 'type' of table certain rules, such as having a border. First you will need to name the table, I called mine 'BlackBorder'.

This is the code you should type in:

.BlackBorder {
border: 2px solid #000000;
}

I only needed a 2px thick border, so you can adjust that to what you want. You could also add other 'rules' or properties to your table, if you know how to add them.

Now go back down to where the actual table cell you want the border around is. Now you are going to define a class for this table (class means one of the named 'types' of table).

At the table's td or table tag, type class="BlackBorder", as below.

If your using Dreamweaver this will be much easier, as you can just select which cell you want and give it the BlackBorder 'class' in the attributes window.
