Then we headed out to another cache that ended up being in this mini patch of woods in a neighborhood. Geocaching is great for showing us little parks in the area. This one had a little creak in it too. This one also had lots of trash but we had no more trash bags. We found this one though hanging from a tree as the clue implied. "Make like a monkey and climb". We didn't have to climb but we were happy to find the little monkey log book. It was too small to leave anything so we just put it back and headed out.

Then we went for a mini cache in a very public area before we stopped for lunch. This one was real small and was called the "Shiny blue cache" We searched and searched until finally I found it in a plastic pipe that was attached via magnets to the meters on the back of a shopping center. We had expected to deal with more muggles than that but it ended up being fairly hard to find. We videotaped most of the day and I will edit it as soon as I can.

We had another great day and at this point we are up to 9 caches that we have found. This weekend we plan to spend our "day off" on Sunday searching out some haunted ones hidden away not far from here. They are actually in the same area as our first one, where the waterfall pictures came from. We are both excited about that and we plan to start early in the morning, pack a lunch, and spend the day in the woods searching for various cache's. We will see how long our bodies can hold up to hiking! Wooo Hoo! This is great!

Recordó que "las personas aumentan de peso por factores biológicos, psicológicos y sociales.   Algunas de nuestras conductas se asocian a ritos y hábitos alimenticios; sin embargo, estas conductas generan un aumento de peso, que posteriormente llevan a la persona a no estar conforme con su figura y posiblemente a cuadros de ansiedad e inclusive síntomas depresivos de difícil manejo. El poder controlar nuestras emociones puede permitir buscar alternativas más sanas y no volcarlas en hábitos alimenticios inadecuados".

Uno de los aspectos importantes desde el ámbito psicológico en el aumento de peso, son los manejos inadecuados de estados ansiosos y depresivos, advierte Arias.

Set during the Cold War, CHESS involves a romantic triangle between two players in a World Chess Championship, and the woman who manages one and falls in love with the other. Although the protagonists were not intended to represent any specific individuals, the characters' personalities are loosely based on those of Victor Korchnoi and Bobby Fischer. The show is not so much about the game of chess, but rather about how the Cold War affected the lives of those it touched.

Freddie, the American, is supported by Florence. During the course of the Championship, Florence falls in love with the Russian Anatoly, and leaves Freddie. This sets off a sequence of events that tears Anatoly from his wife Svetlana and his manager Molokov, who happens to be connected to the KGB. Who wins the World Chess Championship? Do the politics of the Cold War have the last say? CHESS is very dark, portraying a world where you can trust no one and love cannot survive.

From the Alpine heights of Merano, Italy to the sultry heat of Bangkok, Florence, Anatoly and Freddie find themselves swept towards the show's climatic conclusion! Tim Rice teamed up with ABBA+s Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus in 1984 and, following the formula of JC Superstar and Evita, a concept album of CHESS was recorded. The cast for the album included Elaine Paige as Florence, Barbara Dickson as Svetlana, Tommy Korberg as Anatoly and Murray Head as Freddie. The CHESS album contained the chart-topping hits "One Night in Bangkok" (sung by Murray Head) and "I Know Him so Well" (sung by Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson).

CHESS debuted on the London stage in 1986 and played for three years with a cast led by Elaine Paige, Tommy Korberg and Murray Head, while the subsequent short-lived Broadway company featured Judy Kuhn, Philip Casnoff and the late David Carroll. The score includes such tunes as "Nobody's Side," "One Night in Bangkok," "Anthem," "I Know Him So Well," "Pity the Child" and "You and I."

CHESS is a 'cult' musical which is hugely popular with musical theatre fans and the general public alike and was voted in the All-Time Top Ten in a BBC Radio 2 listener poll of the United Kingdom's "Number One Essential Musicals".

South African Premier

Pieter Toerien's South African Premier of CHESS will begin previews at his Montecasino Theatre on the 22nd March and run till 25 May before moving to the Theatre on the Bay in Cape Town. CHESS is the 100th production on stage at Pieter Toerien's Montecasino Theatre.

I don't know the band..."Wonderboom" but it seems to me that they are doing great from what I've read on the internet about them. In the role of Jesus Christ

Cito is singer, composer and producer. He was born in Los Angeles and grown up in New York, he has been influenced musically by his parents, and more specifically by his mother who was singing and played classic guitar.

From adolescent years, Cito studied music, composed and also was member in various groups, as the Heart and Soul, Moonchild and 8 Legged Groove Machine.

From 1996 he was the basic singer in the successful rock group of South Africa, the Wonderboom.

In his own recording studio, Cito makes productions, composes and also records various projects, while he has worked with various artists as Karin Zoid, Tamara Dey, Craig Harris and Paul E Flynn. His role as Jesus Christ in the Jesus Christ Superstar constitutes the debut of Cito in theatrical musical. His astonishing voice and the awe that he causes on scene get paid with the warmest clap.

Cito's first introduction to theatre was through Jesus Christ. To many a trained actor and singer, the role of Jesus Christ (in Jesus Christ Superstar) would be daunting.

But Cito, who had never acted before in his life, embraced the challenge. By the time the musical toured Greece and Korea, where they played to 4 000 people a night, Cito had turned the role into his own. Since returning to South Africa he has continued with Wonderboom and has turned down every theatrical offer.

That is until Chess. He was offered the part of the chess master, Fredrickson, by all accounts an egotistical man. who turned the game reserved for nerds into rock star status. Fredrickson is based on the US chess icon, Bobby Fisher.

"The great thing about Chess The Musical is that everyone is flawed and there is no happy ending," says Cito. "It's not a happy-go-lucky Broadway show, which is why I chose to be a part of it."

Cito says he still puts his band, Wonderboom, first and, initially, the role conflicted with a planned tour. But Pieter Toerien was so eager to have him in the show that he moved it forward six weeks to accommodate Cito.

"This theatre thing is blooming for me. I could feel it in Greece and Korea. In Korea, people would throw babies at me. It's intense. Luckily, I've been humbled by rock 'n roll to know the difference between reality and fame.

"I'm also singing like a mother. I always knew I could sing . But when I look back at my early days of Jesus Christ Superstar I was petulant. I felt like I was in standard six all over again."

Like all good artists, Cito saw the opportunity as a way to improve his craft. "I don't come across as a well-trained actor, but I think that gives me an edge.

"With this role I really have to embrace being an asshole with real swank. When it comes to Chess it's a discipline. I have had to unlearn that stuff from Wonderboom. After all, that started off as a joke."

Wonderboom has always used humour and parody in their music and their live performances to great effect.

"Acting is not pretending. It's about finding that other person, becoming that other person. Right now, I still wanna be Jesus. I still wanna be a nice guy.

"Fredrickson has confidence. He was revolutionary and had a highly passionate sexual relationship with his woman."

He says the sexual aspect of his character gave him some difficulty. In one of the opening scenes his character walks into the scene and immediately goes up to a female, grabs her and brazenly kisses her.

"I'm not about that kind of misogynistic behaviour," he says shyly. "But the director said just do it and I just did it. Everything is a learning curve."

Hay quienes creen que una cirugía bariátrica, o contra la obesidad, es la panacea para los golosos. Imaginan que luego de pasar por pabellón podrán bajar de peso significativamente sin dejar de cambiar sus hábitos alimenticios. Creen que la balanza volverá a ser su amiga sin tener que dejar de asistir a asados, curantos y cuanto evento culinario exista.

Pero nada más lejano de la realidad. El doctor Jorge Cárcamo, médico cirujano encargado del Centro Integral del Tratamiento de la Obesidad, repite lo que dice a sus pacientes cuando llegan a su consulta. “La operación dura dos horas. Son sólo dos horas de un año completo. Es un importante punto, pero sólo es parte de un tratamiento muy largo”.

Tratamiento que no se inicia con la operación. Los pacientes deben ser evaluados no sólo físicamente, sino que también psicológicamente para determinar cuál es la mejor alternativa.
El doctor Francisco Berger, quien también realiza operaciones bariátricas, explica que muchas veces se encuentran con casos de pacientes que no se acostumbran a los nuevos hábitos alimenticios y los trastornos que esto acarrea en la vida social. Por eso es necesario evaluar muy bien al paciente.

El IMC
Para determinar si un paciente es candidato a cirugía se parte por conocer el Indice de Masa Corporal. El IMC se emplea para estimar el estado nutricional y el riesgo de desarrollar enfermedades asociadas al peso.

Se calcula dividiendo el peso en kilos por el cuadrado de la altura en metros (kg/m2). El valor es independiente de la edad y del sexo.
Si el IMC es superior a 25 e inferior a 29,9 se está con sobre peso moderado. Si el IMC es de 30 a 34,9 se habla de obesidad en primer grado y superior a 35 e inferior a 39,9 ya se es candidato a una operación. Si hay patologías asociadas, y con un IMC superior a 40 se habla de obesos mórbidos, que por supuesto son los principales pacientes que entran al pabellón.

El doctor Cárcamo explica que en personas con IMC inferior a 35 la cirugía puede ser discutible, si no hay otros trastornos que acompañen el sobrepeso.
Por su parte, Berger indica que de acuerdo a los últimos estudios vistos en el Congreso Internacional de Cirugías Bariátricas se aconseja que los pacientes no lleguen a ser obesos mórbidos críticos, con IMC superior a 45 ó 50 (súper gordos), por eso comienza a ser aconsejable intervenir quirúrgicamente en personas con IMC 35. “Las personas con IMC superior a 45, el daño psicológico es permanente, aunque ellos bajen de peso vivirán siempre con daño psicológico por haber sido gordos. Por eso es necesario intervenir antes”.

Además del IMC es necesario decidir qué intervención hacer. Hay tres cirugías más comunes. El by pass gástrico, la banda gástrica y gastrectomía en manga. En el primer caso se trata de una operación más riesgosa, pero con más posibilidades de éxito. La segunda es menos riesgosa pero hay mayor margen de fracasos. Y la tercera es una medida intermedia.
El éxito o fracaso de una operación se mide por la posibilidad de que el paciente recupere peso, después de los primeros meses en que la baja fue considerable.

Decisión en conjunto
Cárcamo indica que esta decisión debe ser tomada en conjunto con el paciente. “Hay personas que prefieren la baja de peso segura y otros no bajar tanto, pero correr menos riesgos a la hora de la operación”.

Agregó que en pacientes muy obesos con patologías asociadas, diabetes, colesterol alto u otras, es necesario una baja de peso anterior de manera de disminuir el riesgo. Cárcamo insistió en la necesidad de una evaluación completa antes de llegar a pabellón. Se deben hacer una serie de exámenes y evaluar el riesgo quirúrgico. En esta etapa el psicólogo debe descartar algún tipo de dependencia a drogas o alcohol o anorexia nerviosa o bulimia.

Luego viene la operación. “Son sólo dos horas en un año completo”, dice Cárcamo. Con estas palabras el médico le explica a sus pacientes que al salir del pabellón viene un largo proceso de baja de peso.
Etapa que debe ser supervisada por nutricionista y acompañada de ejercicio.
Berger agrega que en esta etapa los pacientes comienzan a evitar la vida social. De hecho, ellos deben saber que nunca volverán a comer como antes, ni siquiera como los demás, lo que catalogamos como normal. Porque la mayoría de las personas tienen tendencia al sobrepeso, producto de una ingesta calórica superior al gasto energético.

Los operados comen mínimas cantidades, con lo que sienten saciedad, y eso puede provocar muchos trastornos en personas que presentan cierto grado de adicción a la comida.
Cárcamo enfatiza que si no hay cambios de hábitos alimenticios, lo que va acompañado de un cambio en rutinas, de manera de incorporar mayor actividad física, la cirugía fallará y al cabo de 3 años el paciente recuperará peso. El 15% de los by pass fallan y la cifra aumenta en la manga gástrica, el 40% de los pacientes sube de peso al cabo de algunos años. Por eso es imprescindible la ayuda de un equipo médico posterior a la operación.

Tempat ini didominasi oleh warna hijau, warna khas surabaya si bajul ijo. Hanya saja kurang memberikan sentuhan melalui interior / pernik yang khas surabaya. Malah terkesan modern. Atau mungkin mereka bermaksud tidak hanya menyasar penggemar makanan khas surabaya, tetapi juga segmen anak muda yang menyukai suasana modern?
Bila tetap mempertahankan hal ini, malah ada kemungkinan sedikit anak muda yang mau datang ketempat ini. Kemungkinan hanya 5% anak muda yang mau datang dengan tipikal anak muda yang cenderung bosan dengan makanan junk food. Tetapi bila food court di lantai atas sudah dibuka, mereka cenderung memilih tempat yang lebih banyak pilihannya.
Pilihan interior berbahan metal sebaiknya diminimalkan, warna hijau sofa sangat tidak sesuai dengan nuansa hijau yang dominan, sofa sangat tidak nyaman karena ukurannya tidak proporsional dengan tinggi meja, untuk warna bisa ditambahkan nuansa krem pada sedikit sudut interior atau ganti saja warna hijau sofa dengan krem yang senada dengan warna lampu gantung yang unik di tempat ini. Tambahkan sedikit aksesori bergaya surabaya di beberapa sudut, atau pada tiang-tiang yang menyilang di bagian depan.
