See, I have a Fun Board, a board listing all the great things I do here.  One of the tasks on my list is starting a Homework Help Center for Elementary School Kids (Grade 1- 5).  The grand opening of our Homework Help Center will be on Tuesday, August 19, 2008.  So if you need help with your homework or just want  a place to know some cool ways to learn, join me every Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 starting August 19th.

Also on my Fun Board is Saturday Birthdays with Pirate Chrissy.  Every third Saturday of each month, we will celebrate a countries birthday with balloons, treats, craft activites, facts, stories, Pirate Chrissy, and Much, Much, Much More!!!!  This is a family program so bring the crowd.

*It is not her family she is in danger of it is the man she is presumed to be w/ he has hurt her in the past & threated to kill her. He even had her old car for a while because she was to scared to go it it from him. He goes by an alias of Mike Jones we do not know his real name @ this time. He is a large african american man. He drives different vechicles as to not be caught for the things that he does. One of those vechicles is white truck chevy I believe. He doesn't have a home or rent due to keeping a low profile also. He lives at hotels primary on 13th that are able to be accessed w/o a credit card or drivers license.

*The car she has is champagne or gold & may have a handicap tag in the window or it may also have a necklace in the window.

*The sheriffs dept. is trying to subpoena her phone records to see if it has been used, to whom, & where.

*My sister is into some bad things but she has never ever been gone this long & I do not believe she would do this to my g-ma.

*This story is in the paper & is also on the news at the time but no new info has come forward

*I am not sure why it took Waldo police so long to push forward w/ this other than its a very small department & she has left for a couple days b-4 but never this long & def. not w/ my g-ma's car.

*She lives in Waldo w/ my g-ma & works night shift w/ Bloodsouth.

*She went to work but left saying she had to help my babysis who was broke down. My lil sis was not broke down so I am not sure why she said that. My sis has 3 kids but 2 where put up for adoption.

*The lil girl on her page is her oldest daughter w/ whom my g-ma cares for.

That morning, when we arrived in the lobby of the Mandarin Daily News office, we were greeted with a sight of many milling people, and a book shop. After staring at our surroundings for a full 30 seconds, we were greeted by a representative who led us up to a meeting room and showed us an introductory movie about the Mandarin Daily News. After the movie, we were led on a tour of the building.

The Mandarin Daily News building isn't just an office; it's a learning place for kids. The top floor is a recreation floor for kids resting between lessons, and waiting adults. The other floors contain a library, a music corner, an Arts corner, and various other areas and corners. After the tour, we ambled into Ms. Feng, the editor-in-chief's, office. We sat down on the various couches and chairs, and the interview began. We discovered that Ms. Feng highly prizes integrity, and that she was influenced by the former editor-in-chief to take her current job. She answered the questions quickly and precisely. After two rounds of questions, we took pictures, and then left for our other interview.

As usual, I started out the interview with my question: what qualities must a great leader have? "Integrity," he replied. Mr. Chien taught us to not take things for granted; we have our life a whole lot easier than many other kids, especially the ones in underdeveloped countries. After a long conversation filled with many questions and interesting answers, we bade each other goodbye and left.

It’s not an ordinary day in the Children’s Department because I, Christina, am a part of the greatest team on the planet…THE WEST PALM BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY. 

 Yes! I have been admitted to the clan of Children Librarians and am very excited to be serving you.  I have only been in Florida for two weeks!!!! I relocated from Pittsburgh to be a part of this family and will need any help you can give in becoming acquainted.  You must think that I must have been nervous in my transition, but I will tell you a secret…between you and me… I read this awesome book Queen of the Scene. This ruler of the playground always gives me that energy to feel like “I can do it too,” so check it out.

Hope everyone is well. I finally got my laptop back after it was in for repairs and feel like I can connect with the world again. You have no idea how much you rely on these little boxes of circuits until you don't have one anymore.

I realized today that after the conclusion of my current semester (September), I will be halfway done with my MBA. Halfway! I can't believe it. I've made it this far. School has been a struggle with work, even though work is fairly unchallenging. But working and then wanting to relax after work... and school gets in the way... big bummer.

Scott and I are on the brink of buying our first home. We have submitted a contract and are scheduled to close on August 8th. Pretty exciting! I guess next is a family, but I'm not sure I'm ready.

However, what I am ready for... is bed. I need the rest. I have my first corporate audit tomorrow. I'm scheduled to meet with 2 people tomorrow, then 2 people Wednesday. Nerve-racking!

WHOA. On one hand, I can understand the need for a celebrity to want to sell the photos. Maybe it'll cool off the paparazzi, meaning, they wont be hounded for baby pics if they're already out there. On the other hand, I don't know. The exclusive first photos will be shared, and the public will see them but I'm sure the candid ones are the ones that will be sought for. The ones where they are hounded walking down the street or coming out of their car. Those are the ones that people want to see. The NORMAL photographs. And, it wont be People or OK! photographers getting those. Then comes the question about why. I cant help but wonder why celeb parents are asking or accepting such high offers? Is this not exploitation of their children? Yes, no? I remember reading once, how Christina Aguilera was upset and disappointed at the low sales of her People cover with her newborn, Max.

Although there's always been a nascent interest in the spawn of the rich and famous, the real baby boom has taken place more recently. "In the last few years the public has been increasingly interested in every aspect of celebrities and their lives," Dina Sansing, Us Weekly's entertainment director, said. Are we REALLY that interested in seeing celebrities as "normal" people? (People, by the way, whom I just call ones like me, but with a fatter savings account.) Even if it means them having to sell photos of their privileged offspring for millions of dollars? I admit. I'm guilty. Personally, I don't really buy People magazine but I bought it when I saw the gorgeous Ms. Aguilera on the cover with baby, Max. Same with Nicole Richie and her baby girl (who is UBER-cute, by the way.) And I also admit to perusing Perez Hilton.com the other day to catch flix of Jamie Lyn Spears' baby. I just like babies. Sue me. But I really have a problem with these ALREADY rich celebrities capitalizing on nothing more than the product of their fucking. Harsh? Maybe. But if this is the trend nowadays, I think that since these children will have a silver spoon in their mouth, a trust fund and access to the best shit whatever shit that may be, how about their parents do some good and give the money to charity? I've heard tell of a few doing that, though at the moment no names come to mind BUT not ALL celebs are evil, right? Some still have souls and hearts, right?

UPDATE: Nicole Kidman has opted out of selling photos of her daughter, Sunday Rose. She has turned down many lucrative offers and I just want to say GOOD FOR HER. But this comes as no surprise to me. She and Tom Cruise are known for suing the media and tabloids over false stories and reports and giving the money won in a settlement to charity.
