Animail - Tuesday

A package from RightStuf arrived, containing my order of Chobits, Daphne in the Brilliant Blue, and Saint Seiya. This completes my Chobits collection, and fills in the first artbox of Saint Seiya.

Two packages were waiting for me at home. The first, from Buy Rite, contained the .hack//Legend of the Twilight artbox I had ordered along with some miscellaneous singles.

The second was a box from SecondSpin. Inside was the order I placed for the first Eureka Seven artbox, Patlabor 2 - the movie, and a few more singles. Here's the best part: As far as I remember, I had only ordered Eureka Seven volume 1 LE with the artbox. The box felt hefty, but I thought nothing of it since it's supposed to include a manga, a soundtrack CD, and a shirt (I think). When I ripped off the shrinkwrap to check out the extra goodies, six - yes, SIX - DVD keepcases came spilling out! Thanks to the 20% off promotion at the time, I spent $18.74 on this "completed" Eureka Seven box. Unfortunately, I had all of the discs except #5 (and I'm glad I didn't order it yet!), which isn't a big deal since I'll just end up selling off the duplicates.

Not a bad haul, I say!

This is the FINAL RESULTS of Anime's Next Top Model! Who will be our very first winner? Will it be Chii or Enma Ai? Both wowed us all with their stunning photos and personalities. They have beaten out 8 other girls who strived hard to be in their places but they fail. Now that the competition is at end, we will now know who will be the winner! So who's gonna be on top?

With a close fight of 44.4% to 55.6%, ENMA AI defeated Chii and becomes the very first winner of Anime's Next Top Model!!! Congratulations Enma Ai! Now let's go back to her journey from the start.

With long, flowing hair and red eyes, she is a spiritual entity with a tragic past, who lives in a world of eternal twilight with her grandmother, and is the one who receives and delivers vengeance on her clients' behalf via the website called "Hotline to Hell". Since she has done this for so long, she initially seemed to have become emotionless and numbed, as is shown by her expressionless face.

For having a unique oriental beauty, she impressed the judges from her first photo up until now. Consistently taking over from editorial to catalog, she shows her modelesque side. Besides from that, she has more personality and she had been a chameleon throughout the whole competition. Her ability to project different angles and poses made her deserve the spot she's in. Because of her exotic oriental beauty, stunning quality, modelesque poise, class, story, and overall personality, Enma Ai beats the odds and won the hearts of many to vote her on becoming the first winner of Anime's Next Top Model!

Epic lulz! Just being surrounded with two nice and powerful girls, what moar should you ask for? I remember where the episode in FSN, Rin kissed Emiya and do the ritual thingey. *drools* And oh. Dont forget the Saber hentai! XD

I should say that this guy is the luckiest ever! But I hate Kyon since he stole my Haruhi-chan. ;_; RAWR! But yes dont forget Kyon's motto: 'The more facepalms the better!' Oh wait thats mine.

Anywho, i've been a big fan of the Mummy movies. They made Brendan Fraser so old in this one! D: He still had some great lines and good shots, but I didn't really like how much they played up the "Old father" side of his character. Another thing that continued to bug me the entire movie was that there is a new actress playing the role of Evelyn. I tried to get used to her, but I just couldn't shake the fact that she was nothing like the original.
The movie was still great though. One highlighting moment is when the Yak literally Yakks all over Jonathan xD
And the best movie quote -  Jonathan: "Ah! My ass is on fire! My ass is on fire! Spank my ass. Spank my ass!"

I was able to understand better what Chi was, and what the "one for me" theme meant. The relationships whether humanxhuman or persocomexhuman, it was about being loved for who you are, and not to go into a relationship halfassed.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle

It seems the same ideals that Clamp uses in thier stories exists in Tsubasa Chronicle. The "it will definately be alright" (I love that spell) theme from Cardcaptor Sakura still holds in this series.

Hideki Motosuwa es un joven granjero de 18 años que aspira entrar a la Universidad Harete, en Tokio. Sin embargo, se convierte en un rônin al suspender el examen de ingreso. (Rônin equivale a ser un rechazado de la universidad, al estilo de Keitarō Urashima de la serie Love Hina). Tras esto, Hideki decide intentarlo nuevamente. This is a figure of Chi by Art Storm, Chi is from the anime series/manga Chobits. This figure has MANY bootlegs on eBay from what I can see, so be careful on where/who you purchase it from. I happened to see it at Robert's Anime Corner Store for $40 a few weeks ago and excitedly added it to my cart. This figure is actually pretty large she is a 1/5 scale figure (most figures are only 1/8) so $40 really was a good price. Art Storm makes one other figure of Chi that I've read awful reviews on (she is standing with one leg up with a finger in front of her lips) so even though I don't own it I can safely say I don't recommend it based on all the reviews I've read. She is unstable and she snaps at the ankle eventually. However, I knew I'd be safe on a figure in this pose, I mean...where is she going to snap in that position?

I'm a huge fan of CLAMP (the creators of Chobits), Cardcaptor Sakura was the final straw before I went anime obsessed. I was so fond of Cardcaptor Sakura that I immediately purchsed and watched Chobits expecting something similar since it was from the same people that did Cardcaptor Sakura...boy was I EVER surprised. Back then all I had watched was Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, Digimon, and Time Detective Flint so this one really blew my world. When I was done with Chobits at that time I was unsure how I felt about it all, Chobits is a series thats generally aimed at older men (although it has no nudity so don't worry about that). But since then I've become accostumed to the oddness that many anime series possess and I'm fond of this series. I recently read the manga and it cleared up a lot of questions I had about this series (when I watched it the series wasn't licensed and they were poor fansubs).

I like this figure because it's not too revealing and I like cute maid outfits (although I don't have a maid fetish). Since Chobits is such an old show I feel lucky to have tracked down a nice figure of Chi. The art associated chobits really is gorgeous, I'd love to have more figures of illustrations by CLAMP. I had a hard time finding a good spot for her on my shelves. I decided she looks best lower then eye level (but not on the bottom shelf) and slightly angled because her skirt goes up pretty high and it just looks ridiculous from behind. The sculpt of this figure is very nice and I think the painting is fine, it's not as high quality as an Alter figure but it's still pretty darn good quality. My only complaint is that her hand doesn't rest firmly on whatever flat surface you place her on, it's not too noticeable though (as you can see from the pictures).

The base is HUUUUGE. If I were to use that base she wouldn't fit on my shelf so I don't use it. She looks better without the base anyway. Although the base isn't a bad color or too large for the figure, it's just uneccesary and I think it distracts the onlooker from the figure a bit. I loathe bases that are extrodinarily larger then the figure, but due to the long pose and hair this one is just the right size, but it's still a big base in general.

It feels really nostalgic everytime I hear the Chobits OP theme (Let me be with You by ROUND TABLE featuring Nino), here I have Chibits - a spinoff from the Chobits series released somewhere around 2004. Although it runs at around 6 minutes plus only, I enjoyed every single second of it. With the hyperactive Sumomo around, nothing will ever bore you. I would like to have this two little darling Persocoms with me, of course Chi also will be welcomed anytime. The story is pretty simple - Hideki goes off to college, left behind his wallet and Chi goes to deliver it to him. Sumomo rocketed to the sky with Kotoko to go after Chi when they noticed Chi left her undies at home. Browse the youtube clips below to see what really happens at the end. You just gonna love these two little brats :D

~part 2: PORTFOLIO SHOWDOWN

This is the second round of Anime's Next Top Model! We are all a step closer on knowing who will be our very first winner but before that, we should meet the judges for the last time! We all go back to their previous photoshoots and let's all compare every photo of the girls! We are all accompanied by judges: Kallen, Rima, Yukari and Akira.

The girls' first photoshoot is all about school as they work out themselves on cameras wearing their Serafuku's! Chii was somewhere in the middle but Enma Ai gave a fierce photo, which impressed the judges at the start of the competition.

Judges choice:

Kallen - Hands down Enma Ai.

Rima - Duh.

Yukari - Very fitting for an editorial shoot, and she gives a wicked twist to a plain, normal schoolgirl... Enma Ai.

The girls strip down a bit under the sun as they do a swimsuit pictorial. Enma Ai has some issues regarding on wearing swimsuits that's why she dissed off the swimsuit and had herself to pose in a hot spring instead. Chii transformed her awkwardness into intensity as she developed a stunning photo.

Kallen - Chii... Enma Ai had been a bitch in this episode...

Rima - Duh.

Yukari -Chii blew me away with this one. Who knows awkward is modelesque?

Next, the girls get to show emotions during their third photoshoot, where they are photographed in gray scale while being sad and lonely.

As the competition continues, the girls pair up with guys they are close with as they do a heart-thumping couple pictorial! Chii pairs up with her special someone, Hideki, and produces a cute and sweet photo. Enma Ai, on the other hand, takes it up a notch when she is paired with Ichimoku Ren and they did some finger-sucking action which shocked everyone!

Next, the girls had fun in their photoshoot as they dress up in a specific fetish. From nurses, mermaids to Neko-Mimi's, there had been a random and impromptu picks to assign to the girls but they still have to work it out.

Yukari - I love the intensity of Enma's eyes here. She was the most unique of the bunch.

The girls settle themselves in a difficult editorial shoot where they represent the Four Elements. Chii gets to be ambient and nimble like the Water and Ai needs to be soft yet intense as she is Earth. After that, they proceeded with the next photoshoot...

Kallen - They both looked dead. But Chii gets my vote this time for she gave a fiiiieeerrrcccceee shot.

Rima - Chii.

Yukari - Chii. Maybe the best photo of the whole cycle up to date.

Akira - Yukari, Enma Ai's finger-sucking action with Ichimoku Ren is the BEST photo in Ani-NTM history up to date!

Next, the girls get to model outfits, which is widely known and popular today on Japan- the Gothic Lolita fashion.  It is up to girls on how would they portray themselves and on how will they impress the judges. Chii shows seductiveness and Enma crosses borders as she does something she never did before.

Judges choice:

Kallen - Chii. This girl is doing weeellllllllll!

Rima - Enma Ai.

Yukari - Enma Ai gets my vote here. This is something we never see from her and she pulled it off!

Akira - Both bitches done good! God! But I go for Ai, because she has some background and Chii has... none.

Together with Haruhi, the Fabulous Three get a taste of high fashion as they work out themselves in complicated costumes, backgrounds and poses. Enma Ai showed her edgy self and Chii showed flexibilty when it comes to posing and her high-profile. Each girl has 2 pictures to impress the judges.

Kallen - First photo: Chii. Second photo: Enma Ai.

Rima - First photo: Enma Ai. Second photo: Chii.

Yukari - For the first photo, I would go for Chii but the second one is owned by Enma Ai.

Akira - First photo: Enma Ai then second photo is Chii. This is what is said on my script.

After that tiring photoshoot, the girls do a MoeGirl™ commercial, which is one of the most important part of winning AniNTM. The winner would receive an exclusive contract of MoeGirl™ cosmetics. The girls go full bloom as they show their beauty on the advertisement.

It is the time for the FINAL 2's Grand Showdown! Our final 2 girls, Chii and Enma Ai, gives all they got to prove themselves that they are deserving to win the very first title. As for the Finale, we will get to know the final 2 girls better, for there would be a brief recap of their lives and their performances throught the competition. They would all be accompanied by their respective AMVs (Anime Music Videos dummy) then it's TIME FOR YOU TO VOTE!

In Chobits geht es um eine Liebesgeschichte zwischen einem Persocom (Chi)  und einem Menschen (Hideki), Persocoms sind Computer in einer menschlichen Gestalt und Hideki verliebt sich in Chi.

Naja das nur kurz damit ihr wisst worum es geht ^__^ ich jedenfalls liebe diesen Anime und deshalb benutze ich sehr gerne Bilder von Chi als Desktop Hintergrund. Deshalb hier ein paar echt niedliche aus meiner Sammlung.

Eure Salome

Quando comecei a assistir achei engraçadinho, já que Rosette é uma freira adolescente e atrapalhada que está sempre acompanhada de Chrno, um demônio que deixou de ser malvado há séculos atrás e está ao seu lado na caçada aos outros demônios. Se compararmos o inicio do anime e o final dele, dá pra perceber um amadurecimento dos personagens, suas personalidades são mutaveis, mas não é nada extremo, nem uma pessoa boazinha se transforma em má ou o contrario, mas como todas os adolescentes, eles amadurecem e, isto é bem nítido. Recomendo Chrno Cruzade para todos que curtem histórias de demonios, santos, comédia, romance e uma pitada de ação.

Ah! o que mais me conquistou em Chrno Cruzade foi um vídeo com a música "All about us", depois dele eu simplesmente TIVE que assistir o anime:

Agora indo direto para comédia, acho que o anime mais fofo que eu já vi foi Chobits, nem venha falar em love hina que eu não vi fofura nele, lá só tinha uma menininha que só sabia bater no rapaz, tive praticamente que me forçar a vê-lo já que todos falavam taaaaoooo bem dele. Mas voltando a falar em Chobits (*-*) é fofo demaaaaaaaaaisssssss!!!!!

A história é sobre um caipira que vai pra cidade estudar em um cursinho para entrar na faculdade, quando ele chega na cidade vê as pessoas andando com uns robôs que, exceto pelas suas orelhas, são uma cópia humana. Ele fica totalmente fascinado, mas como é pobre, não pode comprar um persocon (robô quase humano), para sua sorte, encontra no lixo um persocon linnnnnnnnndo e leva para sua casa, mas o persocon veio com uma espécie de defeito, ela não sabe falar nada além de "chii" e consegue funcionar sem um sistema operacional, daí segue a história do caipira tarado mas totalmente "bom moço" e do persocon que vai aprendendo as coisas aos poucos, como uma criança.
