I know that several tv shows and web sites get interviews with outgoing Project Runway contestants once they've been auff'd, but I've never really sought out those print, web, or television appearances. I'm interested in the program itself, and not so much what happens outside of it. Today, though, I read an interview that Jerell did with Entertainment Weekly, and it made me think well of him. I give him credit for his incredibly charitable view of Kenley's behavior and of his own ouster, and wish him all the success in the world! I am sure that I mentioned that Jerell's designs really grew on me over the course of the competition; in the beginning, I was convinced that he was one of the weakest links, and by the time he was judged off the show, I was sure that he had been robbed! It was pretty classy of him not to pick a favorite New York Fashion Week collection done by the remaining designers; I don't think anybody could have blamed him for having an opinion, and I think it's sweet that he kept it to himself.

I absolutely loved Kenley's wedding dress design on last week's episode of Bravo's Project Runway. However, when the judges told her that it looked extremely similar to Alexander McQueen's gown (he is one of my favorite designers by the way), I was curious and looked up the design.

This is what I found. Let's just say it is very interesting...

Kudos to those who are so involved in the election process this year that they make it a point to watch every debate. However, for those who skipped another q and a with the candidates last Tuesday, you may have found another person to root for. I know I did. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you Nene (pronounced knee-knee.)

If you don’t know who Nene is, you better get your ass onto the couch next Tuesday night at 9pm because she is the sassiest, fiercest diva on Bravo… sorry Christian Soriano fans.

The premiere episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” did not disappoint. While the women of the Orange County may have been the most plastic and the women of New York City may have been the snobbiest, there is no doubt that the ladies of Atlanta are living the most lavish of housewife lives. From hair salons in their home to personal fashion designers, these ladies are HIGH MAITENANCE. And my main girl, Nene, is living large, looking fab and taking no shit.

I first fell in love with Nene when they flashed her name on screen and I saw her in the background snapping her fingers in a z-formation. Nene calls her son her pooh-pooh, eats fried crab cakes instead of potatoes because she cares about her bod, and likes all eyes on the most important person in the room… which is always Nene. While getting ready for a party Nene tells her make up artist “she needs her lashes poppin', lips bustin' and needs to look awake even though she’s drinking.” Mmmm hmmm, I always say the secret to any good outfit is looking awake.

In a true ‘love thy own self’ moment, Nene sees her reflection in the mirror shrieks with pleasure. How many women do that when they see their reflection? I have only shrieked with fear at the sight of mine. In a world filled with girls that have self-esteem issues, isn’t it nice to see a lady just loving what god gave her?

When describing what happens when she enters a room, Nene can only make the following sounds, “mmmmm, wow, and bam!” I’m sure if the cameras continued rolling on that moment there may have been “ooohs and ahhs” as well.

Nene’s bff is Kim. Kim is everything you would want in a best girlfriend. She has a ton of money thanks to her secret boyfriend, Big Poppa (Biggie? Is that you?), a great sense of fashion (partly thanks to her personal designer) and huge double-d breasts, which, in Nene’s opinion, make her a good shimmy-er. Nene squeals “oh Kim, you shimmy real good!” when she sees Kim jiggling her chest in her new $80k escalade. The best part about Kim? She’s got Nene’s back.

Like all great princess stories, there is an evil queen trying to take our heroine down. That bitch, is Sheree (pronounced Shah-ray)

Sheree is throwing the biggest party in Atlanta and only the cream of the Atlanta crop can come. She has a publicist and boxing champion, Evander Holyfield’s, daughter working for her on the party. She even personally called Nene to invite her to the party. But guess what? When the ladies get to the party, Nene isn’t on the list. Did Evander Holyfield’s daughter tell security about that error? No. Did Sheree act humble and come out to apologize to Nene? No. Was Nene pissed? Hell yeah, it’s on now.

What does the future of this season hold for Nene? One can only assume that she will continue to look fierce, work it, put bitches in their place and have all eyes on her when she walks in the room. And, if we are lucky, Kim will shimmy some more. Nene and Kim… possibly the best ticket out there this election season.

Pénteken azaz tegnap, miután hazajöttem suliból segítettem anyunak leszedni a tapétát a szobájában. : Most akkor megkell ölje?, Vissza változott ?, Ez ki ?

Amúgy is állandóan csesztetnek, szóval na. A tanárok amúgy szimpatikusak voltak.

Hm. Majd jelentkezem. Jó8

Bright knives, big city. On Top Chef: New York, the fifth season of the No. 1 food show on cable, 17 new cheftestants take on the Big Apple and compete for their shot at culinary stardom. Cookbook author, actress and host Padma Lakshmi once again returns to the judges' table, alongside head judge Tom Colicchio, renowned culinary figure and chef/owner of Craft Restaurants, and judge Gail Simmons of Food & Wine magazine. This season introduces new judge Toby Young, food critic and best-selling author of the book How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, which was the basis for an upcoming film. In what will prove to be the most challenging season yet, some of the biggest names in food, music and entertainment, including Martha Stewart, Foo Fighters, Jean-Georges, Eric Ripert, Rocco DiSpirito, Wylie Dufresne, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Natasha Richardson will be featured. Bravo's Emmy- and James Beard Award-winning Top Chef offers a fascinating window into the competitive, pressure-filled environment of world-class cookery and the restaurant business at the highest level. Each episode holds two challenges for the chefs. The first is a Quickfire test of their basic abilities, and the second is a more involved Elimination Challenge designed to test the versatility and inventiveness of the chefs as they take on unique culinary trials, such as working with unusual and exotic foods or catering for a range of demanding clients. The challenges not only test their skills in the kitchen, but also reveal whether they have the customer service, management and teamwork abilities required of a Top Chef. The competing chefs live and breathe the high-pressure lifestyle that comes with being a master chef, and each week someone is asked to pack their knives and go home.

Poor Jerell. He really really really deserved to go to Fashion Week. And based on his performance ov

Poor Jerell. He really really really deserved to go to Fashion Week. And based on his performance over a significant part of the competition, he should have been a shoe-in. And the items that he showed this week were not even close to his best work, but they weren't the worst pieces on the runway.

And then there's Kenley. Kenley's previous efforts and actions should have earned her a one-way ticket to Brooklyn. But they didn't. And this week, she really showed me something I didn't expect from her: talent, not filtered through her tremendous self-involvement, but just plain talent. It was impressive, and helped me believe that she wasn't kept just to add controversy and color to the show. The reprieve that she was granted last week (not that she'll ever believe there was any possibility that she'd be sent home) means that Kenley was judged on what she did this week, and not what she showed last week. And even though her improved attitude was as genuine as a four-dollar bill, the high caliber of her dresses was undeniable. So she should have stayed, and the judges did make the correct decision regarding Kenley.

By now, it should be plain that Leanne is a genius at design and construction, and there's no way that anybody with eyes could ever question whether she deserved to show in Fashion Week. So we move on to Korto.

We know that I love love love Korto. And though I thought that she did not receive the recognition she deserved earlier in the season, the fact remains that her wedding dress and bridesmaid's dress? Were not up to the level of the items made by the others. And Korto, my beloved Korto, deserved to go home.

But she didn't! Jerell was sent home and I do not agree at all. And I've seen Korto's fashion week collection and I definitely preferred it to Jerell's, but the judges couldn't know this! Based on what was shown, Leanne, Kenley, and Jerell should have been in, and Korto should have been one of the decoy designers. Boo!

I watched Project Runway last night and Jerrell got the big Auf Wiedersehen. He should have taken

I watched Project Runway last night and Jerrell got the big Auf Wiedersehen. He should have taken in more of Tim’s advice. Most designers on PR usually do better when they allow Tim’s comments to inform their designs. I do get that artists have to really own their work, and they should never change something unless they feel Tim’s point and want to make the change. It just seems silly how some of them so arrogantly dismiss his ideas. When Tim was talking to Jerrell about his wedding dress, I was thinking “oh buddy, if you don’t change this you are going down.”

In the end, I think it was the right decision. Kenley is still annoying, but her dresses were gorgeous and she shouldn’t have been eliminated. I would like a feature on my television where I can select characters in a show and have their voices muted and just see a close caption of what they are saying. I would so mute her.

I like Korto, though my first pick is Leanne. I think that she keeps getting better and better. I also really like Korto, and her story is certainly compelling. I’m kind of feeling like Kenley might win, sort of like we are being setup for it, but I hope I am wrong.

Heidi reminds the designers that they will all be creating a collection of ten looks. Last week's surprise is this week's redundant pesto pasta salad. But the producers aren't letting us get off that easy: The designers must first create a wedding gown reflecting their collections to determine who will be showing at Bryant Park! How weird and potentially tacky! This makes me think of the wedding dress Austin Scarlett designed season one--if you don't remember, just envision the kind of wedding gown you would expect Betsey Johnson to design.

I want Heidi's stylist.

A special guest that we all might be familiar with you say, Heidi? As always, it's Tim but Tim is always a pleasant surprise.

All the designers are moving out of Atlas and Kenley rolls right past Jerell in the lobby. Let's give her the benefit of doubt: Maybe she didn't see Jerell and the cameras before she left. In a refreshing choice of adjective, Korto says she doesn't believe Kenley's "stanky" attitude will ever change. It doesn't get much more stanky than rejecting a group hug with Tim.

Now it's the part where Tim goes to check on all of the designers' collections at their homes. First up is Korto in Little Rock, Arkansas. She wants her collection to "look ethnic without being to ethnic." I love her wedding dress and her collection so far, and it makes me very happy that she's showcasing African patterns and silhouettes because we don't get to see a lot of that.

Korto has a drumming partner! That's so cool! An aside: If you guys have a chance to read up and learn more about Liberia (where Korto is from), you should. There's an extremely fascinating history there...

Tim now heads off to Portland (Oregon, not Maine) to see Leanne's collection. Leanne's collection is definitely cohesive in terms of color! Tim says her wedding dress doesn't have the same "ease and flow" as the other pieces in her collection. Then she takes Tim on a bike ride. Tim is seriously like the best guy ever.

Next is my boy Jerell in Los Angeles. I'm very optimistic. Jerell has grown a beard, maybe he's been in that studio ever since he left New York. Tim tells Jerell that he needs editing. But I'd rather Tim tell me that I need to edit than tell me I have a lot of work to do.

I love hearing their stories. Jerell's story was so moving!

And as always, New York is left for last, and Tim visits Kenley's apartment in Brooklyn. I love Puerto Rican flag in the background! Kenley unconvincly tells us she values Tim's opinion. Kenley points out to Tim an old picture of her grandmother--a "calendar girl" in the '40s--and suddenly now, everything makes sense.

One of Kenley's dresses has ropes, um, around the neck. Tim asks he she thought about people hanging themselves. I can't wait to hear what Michael and Nina have to say! But all in all, Tim was very happy with Kenley's collection, as was I.

Back in New York, I still don't get why they all have to stay in one suite together. Korto and Leanne are first to arrive and room together, leaving Jerell to have to bunk with Kenley. Kenley tells them she's not here to be a bitch. Then she serves everyone wine. That will definitely lighten the mood, tonight at least.

They all get into the Parsons workspace. Jerell jokes that he'll be around the critique everyone's stuff in just a minute. He's my fan favorite!

Tim drops another challenge on the designers: They have to create an accompanying bridesmaid dress for their wedding gowns. And for some reason, they seemed shocked. Have they not seen the show before? I'm shocked that they don't get an assistant in form a previously eliminated designer to help them.

Jerell thinks bridesmaids are supposed to be ugly, so he says it's all right if his dress is a little ugly.

When Tim sees Kenley's dress, he says that it makes her want to go to the wedding.

"Don't fight with Mother Nature." "Or, Nina Garcia!"

Tim has such a magnificent way with words! About Leanne's reworked wedding dress: "It was a masterful technical piece, but it wasn't making music. Now you're making music."

On Korto's bridesmaid dress, he says that both dresses look alike, and he wouldn't be able to tell who the bride was.

Then Tim starts crying! This is why I love Tim! He's such a genuine person, and he really does want each of them to succeed. Tim is seriously like, an amazing human being.

It's the day of the elimination. The designers get back to work on their dresses, and I notice Korto playing with a green band around the waist. Then Kenley's peeved because she notices that both Korto and Leanne shorten their dresses, like hers.

The judges love both of Leanne's dresses, and so do I. Michael calls Jerell's dress "garish." I hope Jerell makes it. I loved some of things I saw in his collection.

Michael says Kenley's dress is "Alexander McQueen." But they love it barring it's familiarity.

They say Korto's wedding dress is overworked and her bridesmaid is underworked. This is sad. This is really sad. I don't want anyone to be out!

First we get the news that Leanne and Kenley will compete. It's down to Jerell and Korto, and I know the judges prefer overwhelmed to underwhelmed...

Korto is in! I really can't believe it. I love everyone but I really wanted to see Jerell's collection. It's sad that he didn't really drop the ball on anything until now. Looks like it's an all girls finale, and I can't be mad at that.

And in the previews for the final episode of the season, Morgan, the model from hell season one comes back to audition as one of the runway models! I can't wait! Crazy Morgansa!

Do you agree with the judges' decision to Auf Jerell? Be the first to put in your two cents below!!!

Some of you may know this - but I'm a Project Runway fanatic! I'm a religious watcher and for the most part, believe in most of their decisions on who should be 'auf'd'. BUT NOT LAST NIGHT!! Last night, the Project Runway judges decided to send home Jerell from Houston, TX based on their wedding design challenge last night. WTF?! Did they not see the atrocity Korto sent down the runway?!

To be fair - they did allow Jerell to show his designs during NY Fashion Week - however, they will not be seen on the show. I just hope they get a little better at their decision making once they move the show over to Lifetime next season. . .

Well, this is the last season for Project Runway on Bravo. I hope the show does just as well over at Lifetime. I like the final collections. All of the designers stayed true to their personal style and inspirations. My favorite collections were by Korto and Leanne. I think it's between them for the win. Jerell had a great idea, but he had a little too much going on, if he had pulled back slightly I think he would have made it to the top three. Kenley had an interesting collection, but I have mixed feelings about the bird wedding dress. My favorite Kenley piece was the white dress with the hand painted flowers. I can't wait to find out who wins. Until then, I found video of each of the collections.

Korto Momolu

Leanne’s final collection embodies the truest essence of the ocean and is translated in a way

Leanne's final collection embodies the truest essence of the ocean and is translated in a way that only her point of view could infer. Sticking to her area of comfort she provided a more architectural approach in her interpretation, using pleating in a collection that displayed smartly crafter separates. Unlike her counterparts, her collection showed fluidity and connectivity.

Motha Earth, Karto, was kind of disappointing. There was no clear theme, or direction that could be deduced from the pieces that she showed. Yes, some were beautifully crafted, but as a whole it left much to be desired. I was actually surprised that she was selected to show, although i was rooting for her, but then again Jerelle didnt put up much of a fight with his sophomorically fabricated collection.

Kenley, Kenley, Kenley!!! She is like the younger sister that you love so much, but then at the same time cant stand to be around for any length of time. She works your every nerve with her condescending, self righteous, and entitled attitude. Her demeanor definitely changed when she finally grasped that this competition is subjective, therefor neither Heidi Klum nor Michael Kohrs are going to lose any sleep for letting her go due to her "stank" attitude. Likeability is a huge factor in being successful, and no one likes a BITCH! Now for her collection-I loved it. Each piece said, "Kenley," they were carefully thought and represented her style in every way. As MK and Nina Garcia both said, her wedding dress was far to reminiscent of Alexander McQueen's piece that was shown this fall. From day one Kenly has maintained that she does not watch the shows, but we all know that is doubtful. But all-in-all it was a great showing for the freshman designer.

I thought Leanne would live in a treehouse.

Jerell's mother and sister are stunning. His collection looks pretty unfinished. Uh oh.

Tim was really nice to Kenley when he stops at her apartment. Kenley painted fabric, inspired by painting roses in "Alice in Wonderland". Also, rope, because SHE'S THE DAUGHTER OF A TUGBOAT CAPTAIN. Patrick allows as he thought of autoerotic asphyxiation. Though I will admit that yellow feather dress is kinda hot.

And did I miss Korto? Damn. Wanted to see that.

Of course, Leanne and Korto pick a room in the suite together. Leaving Jerell to room with Kenley. Kenley tosses off a weak apology about being a bitch when she arrives. Wearing a sequined beret. NO. And then the champagne from Tim arrives. The apology seemed to defuse the mood a bit, and so the designers toast. Aw.

5 days until fashion week! The designers arrive at the workspace, and begin to unpack.

Turns out the final challenge is to design an accompanying bridesmaid dress to go with the wedding dresses they were asked to design. That will decide which of the designers proceed to fashion week. Oooh.

Jerell says that he is the kind of designer who lets the fabric tell him what to do and he goes.

Tim just said "Just go go go on these Brother™ sewing machines!" Oh, product pluggin, how I hate you.

Did Jerell just say bridesmaid dresses are ugly? So he's just gonna leave it? Korto's not down: "There's nothing wrong with your bridesmaids being cute, ladies!" Too true.

Tim checks in:

Kenley's doing a bubble wrap skirt with a boat (get it? TUGBOAT CAPTAIN!) neck.

Jerell's dress looks unfinished. And the puckering is bothersome. It looks sloppy. "Don't fight with Mother Nature. "Or Nina Garcia!"

Leanne's dress is finally making music, and it's really gorgeous but crazy. It looks like a meringue with gills. Her bridesmaid dress could be cuter, though.

Tim sees two wedding dresses, the colors being so close, as opposed to a wedding dress and a bridesmaid dress. Are they really competing with each other?

Tim leaves the designers for the night, reminding the designers that they have to stand by their dresses the next day at judgment. He tears up when he says that he cares about them. Aw!

Judgment day! The view from the presidential suite at the Westin is killer. Oh, and Kenley is pissed that Leanne and Korto "knocked [her] off" by doing short dresses. Ooh, and Leanne just ding Korto's bridesmaid dress? This is a competition, remember. Leanne is pleased that her model appears to love wearing the wedding dress. Korto gets a little weepy saying that she doesn't want to go home but she doesn't want them to go home, either. Yes, even Kenley.

Runway! No guest judges. Patrick thinks Korto's dresses look overwrought but we agree that Leanne's dresses are gorgeous.

Michael and Nina loved Leanne's dresses: "It's modern but dreamy. And it's you." Leanne was inspired by waves. Heidi says: "I love it, too. I think you did a fantastic job."

Michael loves Jerell's wedding dress from the Empire waist down. Where Michael saw garish, Jerell saw regal. Nina doesn't think that he put a lot of thought into it.

The judges think Kenley is very Alexander McQueen but still her. The bridesmaid dress is super cute, according to Michael. And Heidi said it was crazy good. Wha? I'm confused.

Nobody loves Korto's dresses. Korto is taken aback, to say the least. And now the judges will deliberate.

Judges liked Leanne and Kenley. They felt Korto went overboard on her wedding dress and didn't do enough on the bridesmaid dress. Jerell's dress was overwrought, and Nina points out that all he does is embellish things.

Leanne and Kenley are in, so they go backstage to congratulate each other. Whee! Korto and Jerell are left, Korto because her dresses were not related to each other. Jerell's dresses were just too much. Korto is in, so she tearfully hugs Jerell before joining Leanne and Kenley backstage. And Jerell is auf'd. Backstage, he's all "Tear it up, girls." before cleaning up his workspace and leaving.

Im getting upset and its not even my damn show! I really wish that people would stop being so critical and dumb! Why do we feel like we have to judge people and talk about each other so badly as women. Most of these people saying mean things, probably would die to be in these women shoes(Christian Louboutins,Gucci,Prada), in a heart beat!

Listen Im a Tv Producer and worked on plenty of tv sets, videos, etc. What the general public really needs to know is that...its purely Tv and Entertainment!!!!! Who said it was true,or real...ha! You dont know the girls. Maybe the producers said, Ok, NeNe I want you to be the Loud one, and so on and so forth. You dont know what they are telling them lol.Get a life and stop thinking that everything you see on tv is real. Its all smoke and mirrors people lmao! They got your behinds because all your doing is feeding into what they wanted you to do in the first place, and thats tune in lol! I betcha it was the highest rated show on Bravo last night!

Remember how Rappers would beef, and then both come out with an album and most people would buy it? Same thing here! Drama causes viewers lol. We live for it! You hate to love it! I met the girls and I can tell if I like somebody or not within the first 2 minutes of talking to them. (Ive interviewed the best of them). These girls, love their men, their families and life. I really enjoyed meeting them and I think they are getting a bad rap! I wouldnt say anything or write it, if I really didnt believe so. I heard through the grapevine that there may even be a...Um I will save that secret for the next time! Keep watching its going to get better lol!

Last night I have to tell yah! Whoo Weee! I had a ball. It was the Atlanta Housewives premier and Red Carpet!I got to hang with some true divas and if you didnt come correct, you should have stayed home! Ha! I got a chance to meet and talk with all of the cast from the Atlanta Housewives. And let me tell yah, they are all very nice and pleasant, like I figured. The one diva that really stood out to me was Sheree Whitfield. I really like her, but she is portrayed in the show like she will cut your head off. Naw, Im not buying it. We hit it off and she told me she wants me at her next shing ding! Cant wait to go! I met Deshawn Snow too guys and I love her as well. She was everything I thought she would be and more! I talked to Mr.Snow,Mr. Hartwell, and Nene's hubby and they were all just kinda sittin back taking it all in. The husbands took pics and smiled as their wives shined all night! Kim Zolciak was cool as heck and could be anyones home girl! I looooved her cute lil outfit. She didnt mind striking a pose for me. I think she told me it was Dolce Gabana. I met Kim's two cute lil daughters too, and her oldest daughter wore a Betsey Johnson dress with matching purple shoes. I spotted the Betsey Johnson attire right away and bee lined right over to her to tell her that I looved her outfit! Ha!

Ms.Sheree's dress was the bomb! It was designed by Valentino (dont kill me if Im wrong but it was extremely loud in there),When Sheree hit the red carpet, everyone gasped like," Wow,Omg that dress is the business"!! It was to die for! And the red shoes were fierce too! Lisa Hartwell looked classy in her black evening gown and her hair was fabulous, her makeup was all sparkly, she looked like a barbie doll! I love Lisa, she reminds me of a playmate I had as a youngster, just cute and you always wanted them around. My girl NeNe Leakes looked great too, she wore a purple dress that was fitted. She has a great body, you go girl! She told me she was the first one to be cast. With her bold and bubbly personality, I know they are glad they made that decision, she brings it on screen!

We watched the premiere and was served champagne and laughed at some of the show, then we partied some more. I had a great time and made some good connects. I cant wait to talk to the girls one on one about their non profits, and other business ventures they have. I love women entreprenuers,do your thing! Well I'm going to retire my pumps for now, till the next big thing! I will have more pics later on, waiting for my photographer to download and send. Take care, im going back to bed! Ha!

Thanks to April Love(Ask April Love) and Melanie for the personal invite and to Ms. Kammy.

7digital.com propose bien "Meet the Eels" en MP3 DRM Free ici

Allez...

Pensavate di esservi liberati di me? Avete sbagliato, domenica riposo, lunedì troppi impegni... :)

TV Fans,
Sorry I have not updated in a long time but things have been pretty crazy here. More import

TV Fans,

Sorry I have not updated in a long time but things have been pretty crazy here. More importantly, television has been really good! We have a lot of catching up to do! Let's discuss.

No new Gossip Girl or One Tree Hill on the CW last night. Was I the only one very disappointed about that? Last week, however, the episodes were top notch. Gossip Girl's fashion week episode was so entertaining and I am really hoping that Blair and Jenny become friends so that maybe I will be able to tolerate Jenny. Jenny's design was okay but the show is not doing a very good job of convincing me she is a talented aspiring designers. Perhaps the producers should brush up on a couple of Bravo's Project Runway episodes. Serena is out of control bitchy. She needs to get a reality check and quick because when she comes crawling back to Blair, she's going to look like an idiot. Poor Chuck revealed his deepest darkest secrets and stupid Dan was going to exploit them. How sad is it that I still don't like Serena and Dan, even when they are not a couple? Also, did anyone notice that Nate and Vanessa were not in the episode?! So sad.

The CW's One Tree Hill was so thrilling! Thank goodness adorable little Jamie was safe from creepy Nanny Carrie! As unbelievable as it was that she just would not die, it made for great television. I hope that Grandpa Dan is now allowed back in Jamie's life after rescuing his grandson.

CBS's How I Met Your Mother was amazing last week with the best burger in New York storyline. I must admit that after watching the episode, I went out and got a burger that I had been craving the entire episode. This week, the episode was definitely not up to parr in my humble opinion. Despite several humorous moments like when Barney held up his fist until someone pumped it, I did not find it that funny. Hope it gets back to being amazing next week!

The Hills on MTV was not very entertaining either (both last week and this week). Has anyone been keeping up with what is going on in their lives nowadays? So much more interesting than the show. Like the fact that Audrina and Lauren are fighting and it was rumored that LC hooked up with Justin Bobby. That is wayy more interesting than poor Heidi writing Lauren a note apologizing and Audrina pretending to play the field when she is clearly not over Justin Bobby.

As I previously mentioned, I am a week behind on House so I will update when Fox decides to post the episode.

Law and Order: SVU on NBC was pretty good last week too. How sick was it that the guy had a website of children for other pedephiles? And to think that kid was lusting after his own stepbrother?! Shocking! Sad that DA Casey Novak is no longer on the show though. I'm still not used to the new one (same actress who played Lindsay from One Tree Hill!) but I think she is doing an excellent job thus far.

Project Runway on Bravo was so good because of all the drama. The designs were not impressive at all, but I feel as if this is always the case on the episode before the judges announce who will move on to fashion week. It seems as if the designers' nerves get the best of them in this challenge every season. So excited that all four designers will be moving forward! I also had a difficult decision deciding who I wanted to be the top three so I am glad the judges didn't decide either. As annoying as Kenley is, I must hand it to her that she is talented and would probably put on a great show. Well, as I've said all along, this PR fan is rooting for Leanne all the way!!!

Ugly Betty on ABC was not very impressive last week. I really am not liking the storyline with Daniel's son. I still don't buy him as a father. And how surprising was it that Betty sold Daniel out and went to work for Whillehmina? I was so glad that she was able to get the tiara too! Of course, it worked out in the end with Betty and Daniel but I was scared for a while. Also, Poor Hilda needs to dump the coach ASAP because she can do so much better than that!

Didn't watch Grey's this week on ABC. Was it worth it?

NBC's Saturday Night Live opening debate parody was hilarious. I thought both actors did a phenomenal job! And Anne Hathaway did excellent too and I liked the fact that she was not afraid of making fun of herself and her unfortunate situation. The Marry Poppins skit was pretty funny as well.

Desperate Housewives on ABC is so good! Last week, Gaby won the prize for the funniest moment when she bordered on child abuse by making her overweight daughter Juanita chase the car the whole way home dressed as a fairy princess. Guess Juanita gets her wit from her dear old mommy because she outsmarted Gaby and hopped on a bus! This week, the episode wasn't as good but I still think the show is going strong. I am dying to know what Edie's husband's deal is. He is so creepy it is crazy.

MUST WATCH TV

This Spring I've noticed a lot of subway posters for Bravo and Oxygen advertising the quality of their audience. I've spotted these ads, which are obviously aimed at media planners and buyers, all over the NYC subway system; not just in prime media stations like Prince St. or Rockefeller Plaza. The pictures I've posted above were taken at the Forest Hills/71 Ave. station in my Queens neighborhood, which to my knowledge, is not exactly a major hub of planners. Granted New York is the advertising capital of the world, but it's a bit unusual to see posters touting high engagement and ROI occupying the same space as ads for movies, radio stations and Skechers.

I first became aware of Bravo's "Affluencer" campaign when I saw a banner for it included in a Jack Myers newsletter, which directly targets media professionals. Soon after, the "Affluencer" ads appeared on almost every major media and marketing-related website just in time for the May upfronts. The neologistic term "affluencer" was coined by Bravo's president, Lauren Zalaznic, to describe the network's highly coveted audience of "affluent" and "influencial" viewers. It make sense for Bravo and Oxygen, which are both owned by NBC, to promote their trend-setting audience, but why did the networks do so such public ads for all the world to see?

I don't think people generally like viewing themselves as rating points or pawns in a greater marketing scheme, but the Bravo and Oxygen ads seem to frame consumerism in an empowering way. Although geared towards planners and buyers, the posters also help the public identify themselves and define their media habits. Being described as "engaged" and "cable's best audience" does wonders for a viewer's self-esteem and serves to add a sort of creditability to their taste in television.
