<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Naanageddon comes to the QAA loveboat this weekend as Saturday night is MEGACURRY night. Appetites will be tested, meat will be eaten, and the recycling bags will be so full of bottles the binmen will go on strike again.</p>
<p>Baz asked earlier on this week "What's better than a roast?" and none of us could answer - so apparently we're gettin a mega roast on Sunday as well. Photos and new waist sizes to follow.</p>

<p>Il locale completamente ristrutturato vi aspetta con incredibili sorprese. Le nuove colorazioni nere e oro si fondono e creano un ambiente veramente eccezionale, dove passare le vostre serate.</p>

<description><![CDATA[The Baz made us all massively jealous by visiting Kent&#8217;s premiere bird related attraction at t]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Baz made us all massively jealous by visiting Kent's premiere bird related attraction at the weekend: Eagle fuckin Heights! (It just beats the talking Maccaws in the aviary at Leeds Castle). </p>
<p>Not only is Eagle Heights home to 150 (veloci)raptors, it is also plays the part of "a cracking owl sanctuary" in series 1 of "I'm Alan Partridge". Baz says that his personal highlights included seeing a Barn Owl get blown over by the wind so it had to hang upside down on it's perch, and a bald eagle landing on the head of a bald man! (coincidence? I think not). </p>
<p><em>"It looks a little like death row, doesn't it? I'm sorry, Mr. Hawk. You're pardon has been turned down. You have been found guilty of pre-meditated homicide of a mouse, and you'll be hanged by the neck until dead. And don't try to hover up so that the rope goes slack. Because they could do that, couldn't they? If you tried to hang a hawk, they could always hover so the rope went slack. So, I suppose if you were going to execute a bird of prey the most human way would be death by firing squad."</em></p>
<p>The good news is the whole loveboat might be off to Ally's house next weekend - so we can all go! Huzzah!</p>

It is owned by the baz, who lives in his room of mugs and tupperware, and he has two tenants; The Peach (upstairs) and Alan Carr (downstairs). We have a pet called Stebag, who lives in his basket near the telly.</p>
<p>We'll occasionally post stuff on here so your can get a flavour of what we're up to. (That flavour will usually be overpowering cayenne pepper)</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Host <strong>John Rich</strong> tapped rocker <strong>Sebastian Bach</strong> as the winner of the second season of <strong>CMT</strong>'s hit series, <strong>"Gone Country"</strong>, in last Friday night's (September 26) season finale. <strong>Bach</strong> is set to immediately release <strong>"Battle With The Bottle"</strong> to radio, the song he penned with Nashville songwriters <strong>Jeffrey Steele</strong> and <strong>Vicky McGehee</strong> while taping the series. The song is produced by <strong>John Rich</strong>. The accompanying video, directed by <strong>Wayne Isham</strong>, is currently available on <a href="http://www.cmt.com/videos/sebastian-bach/280088/battle-with-the-bottle-gone-country-2.jhtml?&#38;id=1595809" target="_blank">CMT.com</a> and will debut on <strong>CMT</strong> on Saturday, September 27.</p>
<p><strong>Bach</strong>, who edged out tough competition from fellow <strong>"Gone Country"</strong> contestants <strong>Mikalah Gordon</strong>, <strong>Jermaine Jackson</strong>, <strong>Chris Kirkpatrick</strong>, <strong>Lorenzo Lamas</strong> and <strong>Sean Young</strong>, performed his song before a live audience at Nashville's Wildhorse Saloon in the show's finale. In the end, <strong>Rich</strong> dubbed <strong>Bach</strong> the winner because of his ability to connect to his audience and his lyrics, something that is essential in country music.</p>
<p><strong>Sebastian</strong> will premier <strong>"Battle With The Bottle"</strong> and take part in a live interview on the following radio stations tomorrow morning (Tuesday, September 30):</p>

<p>Commented <strong>Bach</strong> in a posting on his web site: "My mom is a huge country fan, and she raised me on <strong>Willie Nelson</strong>. My dad loves <strong>Neil Young</strong>, who's not maybe a 'country' artist but has a lot of country songs. But mainly <strong>Willie Nelson</strong>, that's the main country influence for me. I met <strong>Willie</strong>, I love his music, I've been on the <strong>'Honeysuckle Rose'</strong> before, and a lot of the reason I took this show is just to blow my mom's mind! I just loved calling her and saying, 'Mom! I'm in <strong>Barbara Mandrell</strong>'s house!' Just that alone blows my mom's mind, she can't believe that!<br />
"When I first said I'm doing a show with <strong>John Rich</strong> of <strong>BIG &#38; RICH</strong>, my mom goes, 'Oh honey, you've got to be careful with those guys, they're wild! Those are some wild boys, <strong>BIG &#38; RICH</strong>!' And I didn't really know. But now I know! They're wild boys and I've had a great time with <strong>John Rich</strong>. I've been to his house, I've had barbecue with him, shot guns with him, gone fishing with him, he's a great guy. But he's really intense, too.</p>
<p>"It's a complete honor to win and I really have to thank <strong>John Rich</strong>. He's an extremely gracious man. I mean, you should have heard that call to my mom! It was like, 'I won!' And there was nothing but crying and sobbing for ten minutes.</p>
<p>"<strong>Chris Kirkpatrick</strong> ended up helping me a lot. Because part of my process as a songwriter and a singer is I am always recording my demos — like when I write a song, I immediately make a very crude mp3 of it to play in my iPod just so I can listen back and see if I like it or not. But I just got a new laptop and I didn't have my recording software in there, so <strong>Chris Kirkpatrick</strong>, I asked if I could borrow his laptop, and it actually helped me a lot. And he didn't have to do that. I have to thank <strong>Chris</strong> for lending me his laptop!</p>
<p>"<strong>Lorenzo Lamas</strong> is a really straight-up professional actor guy, who is very nice and I really thought his song he made was killer.</p>
<p>"<strong>Jermaine Jackson</strong> is a class act. That's the word that I think of when I think of <strong>Jermaine</strong>, he's very classy. He adds another level of professionalism to the room. When he's in the room you don't really swear or cuss in front of him, I don't know why; he just has that air about him. He's very proper and reserved, and I'm not! He's very soft-spoken, but he has very heavy, meaningful things to say. He's a very sensible, classy dude, and I've made a new friend in <strong>Jermaine Jackson</strong>.</p>
<p>"<strong>Sean Young</strong> is wild. Those of you who have seen my other TV shows, mainly <strong>'SuperGroup'</strong> with <strong>Ted Nugent</strong>, if you like that show, it contained a lot of drunken mayhem and craziness and fights and drama and crying and mayhem, and <strong>'Gone Country 2'</strong> had all those things, just not from ME this time!</p>
<p>"<strong>Mikalah Gordon</strong> is 20 years old, and she is a true 20-year-old. You know, I don't ever think I'm old or I'm my age. I am 40 years old now. Hanging out with <strong>Mikalah Gordon</strong> reminds me that yes, I AM 40! She's just a wild spitfire. She's funny, she's got so much energy, and just youth personified. She comes from the <strong>'American Idol'</strong> world and I come from <strong>SKID ROW</strong> — it's two different worlds.</p>
<p>"I did like <strong>Irene Cara</strong>. She was only there the first day. She split, and I liked her. I did <strong>'Jesus Christ Superstar'</strong> across the country, the national touring production, and she played <strong>Mary Magdalene</strong> on a touring production, too, so we talked about theater the whole time. I thought she was going to stick around, but she split and I wish she had stayed. But that was her decision to make.</p>
<p>"A lot of this show has to do with me trying to quit drinking, and I'm struggling with that as a lot of people do in this world. And they say that one thing that comes when you stop drinking is you're not ready for the great things that will happen to you. And I think 'Gone Country 2' was the ultimate example of that. I wrote two songs. One was about drinking, and one was about not drinking. One's called <strong>'Jumping Off The Wagon'</strong> and one's called <strong>'Battle With The Bottle'</strong>. So that's what I was thinking about during the show.</p>
<p>"I am just so happy that I get to make music with <strong>John Rich</strong>. We've already cut the two songs in Nashville. They sound incredible. I'm so happy with them and I know my fans will like them. That's always important to me. I wrote the songs with <strong>Jeff Steele</strong> from <strong>'Nashville Star'</strong> and <strong>Vicky McGehee</strong> who was <strong>BMI</strong> songwriter of the year, and I'll never ever express my gratitude for <strong>CMT</strong> and <strong>John Rich</strong> for putting me with the two best songwriters in Nashville. Making great music is what I'm alive for, and the great music that we made on <strong>'Gone Country 2'</strong> will last a lot longer than me or the TV show. This is a part of my catalog and anything I put my name on I'm extremely proud of.</p>
<p>"Everybody knows I can go crazy and scream at the top of my lungs and go nuts, but people don't know — can I sing this like a country music singer? That was in my head. And that was why I sang that song at the Wildhorse Saloon. And they told me later they couldn't believe that I went against them on it. They all told me, if you do the uptempo one, that's going to be better for you, you're going to win probably. But I went the other way. And they said that's what real country music's about. If you've got something to say, say it, and that's really what I had to say.</p>
<p>"<strong>CMT</strong> flew in my 20-year-old son, and he's seen me wild as wild can be. I was trying not to drink, and try to set this example for him. And I said I'm not going to sing <strong>'Tonight I'm Jumping Off The Wagon'</strong>. My son was right in the front of the audience staring at me. And that was a message to him, and that was from a father to his son, and that's good enough for me. And everybody else in the room was watching that, but I was really singing to my son. I always have to find emotion in my music, and you can't get more emotional than a relationship between a father and a son. And when you guys flew him down there, then I knew I had to sing that song.</p>
<p>"It was a lot of fun doing to the show. <strong>John Rich</strong> is so hospitable, and <strong>Mark Oswald</strong>, his manager — I would like to thank all of them, and <strong>John Rich</strong>'s granny who came over and cooked for us. She treated us to some southern hospitality. I'd like to thank <strong>Granny Rich</strong>, and the musicians that <strong>John</strong> hired were all of the ultimate caliber.</p>
<p>"I made a lot of great friends on <strong>'Gone Country'</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Baz</strong></p>
<p>The layout of this moveset is very nicely done, with pictures and whatnot. Also, Giant Citizen Kabuto is a great game which needs more love. The problem I have in this moveset is that there are no indicators on knockback and damage (except on the Specials) - this makes it hard to figure out the balance of it. The Specials are done interestingly, I especially like the Turret and the Final Smash. The moveset overall is throughout originally done. Also love that first victory pose. Also, the Kirby Hat and the Snake Codec are made of win. I like Baz, and his really good originality, but for the sake of balance, BK should add some more information regarding his power.</p>
<p>Rating: B</p>
<p>Summarize: A very nicely done moveset, I like the Specials. If BK adds a few more information such as damage and, especially important, knockback. Other than that, very well done.</p>
<p><strong>Mewtwo</strong></p>
<p>The layout of this moveset is okay, it could need some more colour or BBCode, but that's just me. As for the moveset... I kinda dislike the heavy use of Mewtwo's Melee moveset. Originality, you heard of it? =/ Anyway... The moveset irons out perfectly the flaws Mewtwo had in Melee, making it better. Another reflector Down B? Oh well. You may consider the dizzy time to not make this move more devastating for Mewtwo than for the opponent, but other than that, Mewtwo became rather balanced in comparison to his Melee version. Can't say much more.</p>
<p>Ranking: C</p>
<p>Summarize: This moveset would do a lot better if it wasn't a simple buffed up Melee version.</p>

<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Baz</strong></span>: It's been a very long time since I've heard Citizen Kabuto mentioned by anyone, so it's good to see some people still remember the forgotten classics. So anyways, the moveset: in general, it's very original and very suitable to the character, but...it needs description. Almost all of the moves seem to assume that the reader knows how the move will affect the opponent. For example:</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">"Down Smash: Pulls out the Proximity Missle Launcher and fires at the ground on both sides of him"</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Does he fire at both sides at once? Does he fire behind him first? How much damage does each shot do? How large is the blast radius? What exactly is a "<em>Proximity</em> Missile Launcher"? This is the big factor missing from this otherwise stellar moveset. Baz's Specials, Final Smash, and even taunts all sound like they'd be extremely fun to play with, and really...</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Well, he'd be an awesome character, is all, judging by this piece.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Fitting to Character</span></strong>: Very much so. Baz is present here in all his gun-toting, rocket-propelled glory, and I love it. A <em>few</em> moves seem a bit contrived, but other than that, practically perfect.  <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">9/10</span></strong></li>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Balance</span></strong>: Baz's lowest score, only because there's very little in the way of judge-able facts. Using the example of his Down Smash, it might have the all the range of Snake's RPG, only with twice the damage and two sides (okay, maybe not <strong>that</strong> broken, but you get the idea). And even in the rare case where a move does have a damage listing, things are still a bit off. His Down Special is (from the could-easily-be-better sound of it) basically setting up a stationary Fox that does nothing but spam the Blaster, only it can aim in any direction, and there can be two of them. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>4/10</strong></span></li>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Originality</span></strong>: Very, very good. I'm an especially big fan of Baz's Side Special. Quite unique stuff here, though a small few of the moves obviously take their basis from other characters'. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>7/10</strong></span></li>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Appearance</span></strong>: Less than ideal. This puppy sorely needs some color to liven it up. Other than that, the layout is solid, but it doesn't go out of it's way to help the reader through it. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>4/10</strong></span></li>
<li><span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>FINAL = 24/40</strong></span></li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align:center;">---</p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Mewtwo</strong></span>: As I read through this, I kept asking myself "what's the point?". Aside from a few changes, Mewtwo is almost exactly the same as he was in Melee, which makes for a rather uninteresting moveset. Still, there are a good number of changes, some of which I like, some of which I think don't pan out like they were intended to.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">A number of Mewtwo's "A" attacks were changed, but almost all of the new additions are simply copied from an already-existing move of Mewtwo's, only with some slight knockback or damage change. This should be handled better--Mewtwo is the most powerful psychich Pokemon in the series, so there's no reason that his moveset should be filled with so-similar moves. HE CAN MOVE THINGS WITH HIS MIND.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Most everything else is solid enough, though. I could nitpick about many little things (Shadow Ball really should go along a wobbly path, Psycho Cut seems pretty boring, etc.), but overall, the rest of the moveset is solid. The only drastic flaw is Mewtwo's Final Smash: it sounds to me like it's essentially Zero Laser, only with a huge period of time, wherine Mewtwo will almost assuredly be KO'd. Not only is that unoriginal as heck, but it's also really under-powered. A little specification on things such as how wide the beam is, how long it fires for, and so on can help, but I really think the 10-second cooldown should either be cut in half, or be replaced by denying Mewtwo access to any of his Specials for a set period of time.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Fitting to Character</span></strong>: Alright. Could be better, though. As I said earlier, Mewtwo is the most powerful special attacker in a series with close to 500 characters, so there's no reason he should only use that level of power in a slight percentage of his moves, specifically the Specials. <strong><span style="color:#ff0000;">5/10</span></strong></li>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Balance</span></strong>: This score can easily be bumped to an eight by buffing his Final Smash. That's really the only thing I see holding him back from honest competition. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>6/10</strong></span></li>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Originality</span></strong>: Almost half of his standard attacks are only slightly-altered versions of another standard attack. And again, Down B Reflectors = UGH. <span style="color:#ff0000;"><strong>3/10</strong></span></li>
<li><strong><span style="color:#0000ff;">Appearance</span></strong>: It's actually kind of refreshing to see posts that are entirely written in large font. You certainly know a <strong>Mario and Sonic Guy</strong> post when you see it, anyhow. Morgan Freeman gets in a car wreck. Bernie Mac gets pneumonia and dies.  I woke up this morning with no pants on. Now Isaac Hayes, the man who played the voice of Chef on South Park, dies. Is the KKK on the rise? Is there a Scientologist hitman?</p>
<p>Isaac Hayes was 65. He's known most recently as the voice of Chef from South Park and also as a humble musician. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002, so I guess someone out there liked his music at one point. To me, Isaac Hayes will always be the voice of Shaft, exclaiming that awesome phrase, "You're damn right!"</p>
<p>Apparently Hayes collapsed during a hot work out session and was found dead by a member of his family hours later with the treadmill still running.</p>
<p>Isaac Hayes also will be in a movie that's coming out in November called <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1111948/">Soul Men</a>. The movie stars Hayes, Bernie Mac and Samuel L. Jackson. Does this mean the bad motherfucker himself, Sam Jackson, is next?</p>
<p>At least he'll still make love when he's dead..</p>

<p style="text-align:left;">It's not over yet, but there are a few things to cover to get us all off on the right foot. See, us at The High Horse, unfortunately, weren't around at the beginning of the summer to spread the love on many things that have happened. Oh, trust us, we wanted to be, but there's these things called jobs that we have to go to and this thing called money we needed to make to pay our hookers. We're here now, so let's do a short recap.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><strong>Movies</strong></p>
<ul style="text-align:left;">
<li>The script for <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0361748/">Inglorious Bastards</a> by Quentin Tarantino leaked online, was previewed and reviewed then pulled offline. Eli Roth, B.J. Novak and Brad Pitt have signed on to play parts in the movie.</li>
<li>The Dark Knight made a lot of money. Somewhere over $400 million now. People were hailing it as the best movie of all time. You're crazy, go get lubed you bearded hobos. It's a good, fun movie, but it's not a godsend of action movies and it damn sure doesn't deserve to WIN any academy awards for acting.</li>
<li><a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1007028/">Zack and Miri Make a Porno</a> got an NC-17 rating, Kevin Smith appeals and wins. Now it's only an R rating for the movie</li>
<li>Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull sucked.</li>
<li>Ironman was great and Robert Downey Jr. is the man. The DVD &#38; BRDVD come out on Sept. 30th</li>
<li>Step-brothers was good, Pineapple Express is superior. Danny McBride "Red" in PE was brilliant and stole the show.</li>
<li>I bet there's other movie news, but I don't care.</li>

<li>Forrest Griffin beat Quinton "Rampage" Jackson for the Light Heavyweight title.</li>
<li>Quinton "Rampage" Jackson gets high on quaaludes, goes on a high speed chase with the cops, gets arrested then sent to a psychiatric hospital for evaluation.</li>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Diese Tage startete Tamedia das sagenumwobene „Newsnetz“ – der Verbund von <a href="http://www.tagesanzeiger.ch">tagesanzeiger.ch</a>, <a href="http://www.bernerzeitung.ch">bernerzeitung.ch</a> und <a href="http://www.bazonline.ch">bazonline.ch</a>. Die Branche hatte im Vorfeld schon viel davon mitgekriegt, vor allem in Form von Abwanderungen gewisser Online Marketing / Sales Spezialisten zu Tamedia.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Die Frage, die man sich als Aussenstehender nun stellt ist:<br />
<span style="color:#808080;"><em><strong>„Wozu die Übung, eigentlich?“</strong></em></span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Zugegeben, der Online-Tagi begrüsst mich in ungewohnter Farbe, endlich lesbarer Schrift und allgemein schön peppig. Wäre da noch die Schaad-Karrikatur auf der Entry Page, ich hätte voll das offline-Feeling. Aber zurück zum Thema.<!--more--></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">In Zeiten schwindender Einnahmen über Inserateverkauf oder Abonnementsgeschäft, steigender Kosten im Verteilernetzwerk und Produktion etc. präsentiert sich das Internet einmal mehr als Stein der Weisen, die Lösung aller Renditeprobleme, das Rezept für die nächsten 115 (Tagi) bzw. 228 Jahre (NZZ). Weil online ist die Reichweite ja grenzenlos, die Leser willig und beeinflussbar und überhaupt können diese Internetheinis ja eh zaubern – für minimales Budget! (Andere Geschichte…)</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Als Abkömmling der Y-Generation, also mit Internet und Palm aufgewachsen, hatte ich Anfangs wirklich Mühe, zu verstehen, wozu es separate Tageszeitungen für Zürich, Bern, Basel und Genf brauchte, und dann noch die ganzen Regionaltitel (meine Eltern lesen tatsächlich noch den Thalwiler Anzeiger). However. Als Internetkind war mein Gedanke also: Die News der Berner sind vermutlich andere, als die der Zürcher. Oder zumindest lokal eingefärbt oder anders gewichtet.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">So. Zurück zum eigentlichen Thema: Newsnetz. Was macht jetzt Tamedia? Eine so genannte „Mantelredaktion“ (<a href="http://www.werbewoche.ch/newsmail080807_newsnetz.werbewoche">werbewoche, 7.8.08</a>) liefere Inhalt für die 3 Gefässe – ein Verkaufsteam vermarktet sie dann. Wahrscheinlich crossmedial (werden wir sicher mal testen!). Ich schaue mir also die drei Seiten heute an und stelle fest, dreimal dieselben News auf drei unterschiedlichen URLs:</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Was mich vor allem erstaunt – <strong>DREIMAL</strong> dieselbe <strong>Werbung</strong>. HA! Aber als Internetkind denk ich: Regiotargeting! (Behavioural kann es ja nicht sein...)</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Also, meine Frage: Wenn wir doch so nette Instrumente wie Regiotargeting haben, und auf diesen drei URLs sowieso der gleiche Inhalt erscheint (oder zu 90%), wozu dann bitte drei verschiedene URLs?</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Wäre es nicht ein Experiment wert, mit <strong>einer einzigen URL</strong> zu arbeiten, die der Berner, der Basler und der Zürcher gleichermassen und ohne Identitätsverlust ansurfen könnte, und dann doch die gut getargte Werbung erhielte? Ausserdem – rein theoretisch liesse sich dieses Regiotargeting auch auf den Content adaptieren… und ginge man noch einen Schritt weiter (wenn wir schon "innovativ" sind), und würde den Lesern einen Login anbieten, dann könnte man sogar <strong>personalisieren</strong>. (Dann wüsste dann der Tagi, dass ich lieber stilles Wasser trinke ;-))</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Aufgrund dieser Überlegungen muss ich jedenfalls sagen, finde ich <a href="http://www.news1.ch/">news1.ch</a> jetzt schon die interessantere Idee (auch wenn der Name etwas unkreativ ist und mir persönlich zu nah an <a href="http://www.news.ch/">news.ch</a> – kommt doch sonst mal bei der TBWA vorbei, wenn Ihr noch einen andern Namen testen wollt).</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What goes best with summer? hmm... I wonder is it sunscreen or smooth rhythms?</p>
<p>Good guess. Summer without dope music would be like winter without snow. For those of you who had the best snow-fights as kids and are forced now, thanks to stupid, self inflicted global warming to endure three snowless winter months, the atrocity of a musicless summer is more then terrifying.<br />
Therefor nothing can complete that perfect or imperfect summer like music, whether you choose the high BPM of drum and bass and breakbeat and decide to spend your vacation raving at Global Gathering or Ibiza or simply chill out on a beach near you with some good old fashioned trip hop, or decide to dust off your road trip mixtape and start cruisin',  <strong>music sets the mood</strong>, it's the foreplay, main course and the aftermath that triggers memories when you least expect it.</p>
<p>Victor Hugo is a firm believer in the fact that the smell is the sense that acts on involuntary memory with the most influence and power and I disagree. In that note I wish to propose a test to you in order to determine what kind of person you are, one that relies on her olfactory or auditive sense.</p>
<p>The first step is to go to a restaurant or have your friends cook something your mother used to cook for you as a child. Before you dig in have a healthy whiff  of the dish and take a moment to yourself to see what it reminds you of and how clear those memories are. If your mom was a lousy cook you can try this part of the experiment with pretty much anything from old gym socks, hihi, to the leaves of a book. The sky, or better yet the imagination is the limit.</p>
<p>After you have an idea about what you felt and remembered  with the help of your nose, put your iPod close to your heart and play your favorite song, from let's say your adolescence, your rebellious period or try listening to a song you made love to or danced to at prom or shared with your best friend or you played every time you broke up with your boyfriend, if you have one, and I am pretty sure you do, because whether we see it or chose to ignore it, music has become a new way to mark the important moments of life, on account of it's beauty and accessibility, you can tap back into that feeling so easy, it's practically at your fingertips, <em>eartips</em> :D, well at your beck and call, anyway you get the picture. In order to complete the second part of the experiment listen to the whole track preferably alone or detached from any other strong stimuli and after that step is complete take a second introspective look at how the sound acted on your memory. To determine whether I am right :D you have to weigh the results and see which of these two senses succeeded in taping deeper into your memories and brought back the most vivid emotions of a past event you linked it to, voluntary or involuntary, or transported you better into the past.</p>
<p>For me personally smell is important and I agree it is a key factor to our human condition and determines in my case mostly the essential perceptions of the present based on a status quo that develops at birth, where as sound and the auditive sense in general is a sense that you train through out your whole life in order to be sensitive to your personality and you apply it to your personality in a way that I feel is the most conscious choice  we make with any one of our senses. The eyes stray, the smell can't help analyze every sent it can pick up,  you touch because you are a rational and social being that cannot exist outside of the human conventions, and the environment, you taste because it is a functional sense that helps you eat and thus survive. The purpose of hearing is not simply a functional one it plays an aesthetic and emotional role that sets it apart from the other senses. A pleasant sound can transcend all perception barriers and entertain, educate, stimulate, transform passive listeners into activists and so much more.</p>
<p>Because we were talking about summer, a summer tune you hear on the radio can make you get out of the house, simply by transporting you mentally to wherever you want to be in time or space, the<em><strong> rêve</strong></em> factor in association with music makes me doubt Hugo.</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="color:#800080;">On <strong>Sunday </strong>I went with my mother, father, Sir Baz, the FP and <span style="color:#ff6600;">Affaf</span>to see Thomas and Boney Joe play football. They've both joined teams. It was raining, it was windy and it was freezing. <em>Cue terrible terrible 70s flicked hair</em>. <span style="color:#ff6600;">Affaf</span> behaved really well until we got to standing on the edge of the pitch. People were warming up with footballs. He wanted a football as well. <em>Cue a few sulks and tantrums</em>.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#33cccc;">It was Boney Joe's first match. He looked very nervous. Every time the ball went near him he panicked and either stayed on the spot moving it around a little or kicked it to the nearest person to him.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#993366;"><span style="color:#ff6600;">Affaf</span> had been told <span style="text-decoration:underline;">not</span> to cross the line indicating where the pitch began and were spectators should stop. <em>Cue <span style="color:#ff6600;">Affaf</span> walking over the line</em>. In the end Boney Joe's team lost 5-4. The team all got presented with medals afterwards. I think <span style="color:#ff6600;">Affaf</span> wanted one too. He followed Joe to queue up.</span></p>
<p><span style="color:#0000ff;">We had to wait an hour in the rain and generally poor conditions until Thomas's match. He played very well. The goalkeeper on his team has the <strong>best name</strong> <strong>EVER</strong>. Literally. He is called <strong><span style="color:#ffcc00;">Aslan</span></strong>. When Baz was shouting out his encouragement for the team he shouted to <span style="color:#ffcc00;">Aslan</span>, "<em>COME ON <span style="color:#ffcc00;">ASLAN</span>! ROAR!"</em> <span style="color:#ffcc00;">Aslan</span>didn't look impressed. Neither did he look impressed when Baz actually <em>roared</em> at him. He was the loudest person there, often coming out with remarks like "<em>Come on! Get it! That's your ball, it's your ball!! Mark 'im, mark 'im!! SHADOW HIM! Get in some space!</em>" He plays football himself. He still managed to fall over in the field, straight onto his back/arse. I did cackle. <em>A lot</em>. </span></p>
<p><span style="color:#00ccff;">Other news.... NEARLY time for <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Prince Caspian</span>. Can't wait to see it on the big screen. I actually feel excited. I got my Prince Caspian soundtrack today. It's amazing! Some songs make me nearly cry. <strong>William Moseley's</strong> next project sounds really good, I look forward to that also.<em> *Swoon*</em></span></p>
<p><span style="color:#cc99ff;">I got my Flowers in the Attic DVD too. I'm not sure about it. I think <em>Louise Fletcher</em> is great as the Grandmother, she really goes well in that role. <em>Victoria Tennant</em> quite suits her role as Corrine too. But the actor who plays Chris, he looks nearly 30 when Chris is supposed to be an adolescent. He's nothing like I thought he should be. Neither are the twins. And they missed out some of the key aspects in the book as well as adding in some of their own. I'm not sure as I like that. <em>It's all very 70s too</em>. </span></p>
