Gegen die Anti-Kärnten Berichterstattung des ORF</em></p>
<p><em>Seit dem Unfalltod von unserem Landeshauptmann Dr. Jörg Haider reißt Berichterstattung in den Medien nicht ab. Die Berichterstattung des Landesstudio Kärntens zeigte Stil und entsprach der Wahrheit, doch leider gab es auch negative und pietätlose Beispiele.<br />
</em> <!--more--><em><br />
Der ORF Wien konnte es nicht lassen, unseren Landeshauptmann, die Kärntner Bevölkerung und Kärnten als Land in einer Sendung nach der anderen zu verunglimpfen und zu beleidigen. Ob in ZiB-Interviews, in<br />
Reportagen in den Sendungen “Thema” und “Report” oder in Diskussionssendungen - die Kärntner wurden überall als hinterwäldlerische und zurückgebliebene Brauchtums-Bergbauern dargestellt.</em></p>
<p><em>Ein ganzes Bundesland ist von den Wiener Programmverantwortlichen diskreditiert und gedemütigt worden. Der negative Höhepunkt war der Auftritt von “Stermann &#38; Grissemann” in Willkommen Österreich.</em></p>
<p><em>Positiv hervorzuheben ist hier der ORF Kärnten, welcher die Trauer in Kärnten mitgetragen und sehr andachtsvoll transportiert hat. Die ORF Redaktion stach besonders in den letzten Wochen durch neutrale und<br />
top-recherchierte Berichte hervor.</em></p>
<p><em>Das Kollegium der Kärntner Landesregierung fordert daher den Stiftungsrat und die Geschäftführung (sic!) des ORF auf</em></p>
<p><em>- sein Anti-Kärnten Programm mit sofortiger Wirkung zu stoppen</em></p>
<p><em>- die Kärntner Bevölkerung in seinen Beiträgen nicht mehr zu beleidigen und zu verunglimpfen</em></p>
<p><em>- dem Kärntner Volk ein Recht auf seine Tradition, seine Kultur und seine Sitten zu geben</em></p>
<p><em>- geschmacklose Auftritte wie jenen von Stermann &#38; Grissemann in der Sendung “Willkommen Österreich” in Zukunft zu untersagen</em></p>
<p><em>- Respekt- und Pietätlose Berichterstattung über die Kärntnerinnen und Kärntner und das Land Kärnten zu unterlassen</em></p>
<p><em>- den laut § 1 Abs. 3 im ORF Gesetz festgelegten Grundsatz der Gleichbehandlung der Länder einzuhalten</em></p>
<p><em>- die allgemeinen Programmgrundsätze nach § 10 des ORF Gesetzes, nach dem alle Sendungen des ORF im Hinblick auf ihre Aufmachung und ihren Inhalt die Menschenwürde und die Grundrechte anderer achten müssen,<br />

Partant d&#8217;un fait divers on ne peut plus sanglant et horrible (l&#8217;assassinat d&#8217;une famille du Kansas), l&#8217;auteur, relate les faits et gestes des meurtriers, qu&#8217;il a suivi dans leurs cellules avant leur exécution. Un nouveau style littéraire est né : le roman factuel, à mi chemin entre journalisme et littérature.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align:justify;margin:0;"><span style="font-family:&#34;"><span style="font-size:small;">De l&#8217;acte en lui même jusqu&#8217;aux aveux, en passant par la cavalcade qu&#8217;entreprirent les deux meurtriers, Truman Capote nous livre une véritable enquête de journaliste à laquelle il inclut son style efficace de romancier. L&#8217;alchimie est simple, et le succès est retentissant. Le livre est un best seller aux Etats-Unis à sa sortie, et a tellement marqué les esprits que plusieurs films lui sont consacrés, dont celui en 2006 avec comme rôle titre Philip Seymour Hoffman, oscar du meilleur acteur.</span></span></p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>Tatuś niegdyś cenionego, a nawet powszechnie czytanego poety zwykł mawiać: „Kiedy nie wiesz, jak się zachować, zachowuj się przyzwoicie”. Jakże lubimy takie okrągłe, porażające swą prostotą zdania. Wpisujemy je do naszego wewnętrznego sztambucha, polerujemy szmatką dobrego samopoczucia i wiedząc nareszcie swoje, już jako lepsi ludzie, ruszamy przed siebie z troszeczkę bardziej podniesionym czołem, niosąc nieoświeconym kaganek oświaty. To co ładne i efektowne zasługuje na szczególną uwagę. Pochylmy się zatem nad cytatem-drogowskazem z należną mu uwagą i troską.<br />
Przyzwoitość jest pojęciem jedynie na pierwszy rzut oka łatwym do zdefiniowania. Potocznie kojarzona ona bywa z postępowaniem zgodnym z hierarchią powszechnie uznanych i obowiązujących akurat wierzeń i wartości. Aby nie pozostać gołosłownym, posłużmy się najlepiej ogólnie znanymi przykładami z historii powszechnej. Bezsensowne marnotrawstwo było na przykład – i jak się wydaje słusznie - od czasów zamierzchłych powszechnie uznawane za nieprzyzwoite. Dla takiego dajmy na to Attylli, aka Bicz Boży, nader przyzwoitym było zastąpienie bezsensownego mordowania kobiet i dziatek o wiele bardziej spektakularnym i przynoszącym jego otoczeniu uciechę rozrywaniem końmi. Z punktu widzenia Girolamo Savonaroli natomiast, należało uchronić dobrych chrześcijan przed widokiem gołych bab namalowanych na płótnie, rozpasaniem wynikającym z mycia zębów oraz noszenia wygodnych ubrań albo co gorsza biżuterii. Dostrzegł to nawet Boticcelli, który do płonącego na Piazza de Signoria stosu ochoczo dorzucił swe najpiękniejsze obrazy. W swym dążeniu do przyzwoitości absolutnej, dobry ten i skromny mnich, nie ugiął się konsekwentnie aż do swego niewesołego końca, ani szykanom kościelnym ani świeckim. Nieprzeliczone były zastępy rycerzy przyzwoitości. Przedsiębiorczy angielscy żeglarze, pochylając się z troską nad ciężkim losem amerykańskiego farmera, nie pozostawali obojętni, lecz jako dobrzy chrześcijanie, mimo ewidentnych trudów i grożących niebezpieczeństw, dbali przez 200 lat z okładem o urozmaicenie etniczne Nowego Swiata, przewożąc dzielnie przez ocean materiał ludzki pozyskany u zachodnich wybrzeży Afryki. Należy zaznaczyć, że materiał nie tylko nie doceniał troski o postęp cywilizacyjny, lecz unikał przewiezienia i w swej krnąbrności masowo umierał pod pokładem nie bacząc na straty jakie ponosili biali dobroczyńcy. Jednym z najbardziej znanych nowożytnych zwolenników przyzwoitości był np. niejaki Jean Jacques Rousseau. Nie mogąc znieść autorytarnych i opartych na przemocy metod wychowania dzieci stosowanych przez współczesnych mu, nieoświeconych jeszcze bliźnich, postanowił poświęcić swój cenny czas na stworzenie dzieła poświęconego wychowaniu zgodnemu z naturą, które to dzieło, nie tylko przeszło do historii ludzkiej przyzwoitości, lecz po dziś dzień uznawane jest za podstawę nowoczesnej pedagogiki. Ponieważ własne rozliczne dziatki przeszkadzały by mu w pracy twórczej, polecił żonie oddać je po urodzeniu do przytułku, gdzie zgodnie z panującą wówczas modą zaraz sobie zmarły. I tak można w nieskończoność, aż po dzisiejsze czasy.<br />
Przeświadczenie, że zawsze mamy wybór pomiędzy dobrem a złem, jest co prawda nie pozbawione pewnego uroku, ale jakże naiwne. Przeważnie wybieramy pomiędzy złem które rozumiemy a złem którego nie potrafimy dostrzec. Wszystko wskazuje na to, że rzecz ma się analogicznie również z dobrem.<br />
I tutaj możemy uciec się do bardziej obrazowej metafory. Przeważnie dokonujemy wyboru pomiędzy interpretacją szóstego rozdziału Codex Seraphinianus i tekstu zawartego w Manuskrypcie Woynicha. Ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem 32 stron tego ostatniego. Ale to już zupełnie inna historia i zgodnie z wpojonym poczuciem przyzwoitości oszczędzimy jej zmęczonym zapewne już czytelnikom tzn. będziemy nią zanudzać kiedy indziej.</p>

Dwa dni temu byłem na przedpremierowym pokazie &#8220;Nieruchomego poruszyciela&#8221; - obrazu, k]]></description>

<p>Dwa dni temu byłem na przedpremierowym pokazie <strong>&#8220;Nieruchomego poruszyciela&#8221;</strong> - obrazu, który &#8220;budzi kontrowersje&#8221;, &#8220;prowokuje dyskusje&#8221; czy nawet &#8220;w brutalny sposób zwraca uwagę na ważne problemy&#8221;. Jednocześnie jest to &#8220;kino autystyczne&#8221; i &#8220;pokaz megalomanii&#8221;. Całe mnóstwo skrajnych opinii - czyli po prostu bardzo dobry marketing. Bo pewnie wielu się znajdzie takich jak ja, którzy w obliczu tak rozbieżnych ocen postanowią samemu sprawdzić o co chodzi z tym &#8220;Nieruchomym poruszycielem&#8221;.</p>
<p>Małe miasteczko. Każdy każdego zna, każdy o każdym wszystko wie. Generał (<strong>Jan Frycz</strong>) jest dyrektorem huty szkła. &#8220;Generał&#8221; dlatego, że trzęsie okolicą. Wszyscy się go boją i się z nim liczą. Jest potworem, który może zniszczyć każdego. Nie warto z nim zadzierać. W fabryce pracuje Teresa (<strong>Marieta Żukowska</strong>).  Jest taką małomiasteczkową femme fatale, o której mówią, że spała z każdym. Generał wdaje się z nią w romans. Relacje dziwną, od początku chorą, opartą na przemocy i poniżeniu. Generał zmusza ją do seksu z nim, a także z innymi pracownikami huty. Od Teresy odchodzi mąż, który nie może sobie poradzić z łatką &#8220;rogacza&#8221;. W życiu Teresy pojawia się Robert, który jest jej &#8220;promykiem&#8221; nadziei na wyrwanie się z tego błędnego koła&#8230; Ona sama jest osobowością masochistyczną. Niby chce uciec i wyrwać się z tego wszystkiego, z drugiej strony jednak znajduje jakąś perwersyjną przyjemność w tkwieniu w tym chorym układzie&#8230;</p>
<p>To tak w skrócie o fabule. W sumie to jest ona dość prosta. Zaszczuta dziewczyna, która nie umie nic robić, ze strachu przed utratą pracy poddaje się spirali gwałtu i przemocy. Niezależnie od tematu jaki film porusza to należy nawet podkreślić, że ta historia jest banalna. W wielu recenzjach (tych pochlebnych) czytam, że tu fabuły nie ma, że jest ona nieuchwytna&#8230; Nie mogę się z tym zgodzić. Jeśli oczyści się &#8220;Nieruchomego poruszyciela&#8221; ze wszystkich ozdóbek, które podoczepiał do niego <strong>Łukasz Barczyk</strong> bardzo łatwo jest dostrzec tę historię. Twórca chciał jednak pokazać ją inaczej. Zastosował sporo środków, &#8220;upiększaczy&#8221;, które miały sprawić, żeby filmowa opowieść jawiła się jak narkotyczny sen, fantasmagoria, koszmar, w którym sens i znaczenie są gdzieś głęboko ukryte. Nadekspresja, teatralność, operowanie kontrastami pomiędzy obrazem i muzyką&#8230; Zderzenie powagi z kiczem.</p>
<p>Powtórzę za każdym recenzentem - Barczyk chciał być <strong>Davidem Lynchem</strong>. Ale mu nie wyszło. Dlaczego? Chyba głównie poprzez brak konsekwencji. Odniosłem wrażenie, że wielokrotnie nie mógł się zdecydować, nie wiedział, w którą stronę to &#8220;pociągnąć&#8221;. Efekt tego jest taki, że wyszło to wszystko mocno poszarpane, niespójne i chaotyczne. Gdyby całość filmu została zrealizowana na zasadzie totalnego przerysowania, nadekspresji i teatralności, z bardziej agresywną sugestywną ścieżką dźwiękową, nieco innym montażem to mogłoby wyjść z tego dzieło naprawdę ciekawe. Bo ten film ma dobre momenty.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0;">W przypadku kina artystycznego wszystko zawsze można tłumaczyć „wizją twórcy”. Brak zrozumienia ze strony widza jego „ignorancją”, „mało wyszukanym gustem”, „prostym systemem myślenia i postrzegania” etc. I tak może być w przypadku tego filmu. Narobiono wokół niego mnóstwo szumu, a teraz wszystkie głosy na nie zostaną skazane na taką ocenę. Krytykom nieprzychylnym obrazowi Barczyka doczepi się łatkę „złośliwych”, „głupich” czy „nadętych”.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0;">Mam problem z oceną tego filmu. Bo nie jestem nim ani zachwycony ani zniesmaczony. Raczej uważam, że to zmarnowany, bardzo niedopracowany pomysł. Szkoda.</p>

<p>Mungkin tidak dapat didefinisikan secara tepat apa itu kecantikan, karena kecantikan itu tentatif-relatif-subjektif bagi tiap individu. Ia (cantik) adalah  sebuah  ada yang dipersepsi, persepsi yang datang tidak dengan sendirinya, melainkan lewat suatu proses bentukan pemahaman. Dengan demikian, kecantikan adalah sebuah aposteriori personal, yang kemudian dikontemplasikan menuju kedalaman, kedalaman atas hakikat kecantikan.</p>
<p>Kecantikan secara umum merupakan suatu perspektif subjektif dari setiap individu. Perspektif subjektif ini meliputi aspek kognitif dan afektif yang melalui suatu proses pengolahan personal. Yang hendak disoroti dari sini adalah situasi kontemplatif terhadap kecantikan yang sedang dialami si subjek. Lebih lanjut, diktum kecantikan dapat dirumuskan sebagai berikut: Kecantikan hanya dapat ditemukan oleh orang yang dalam dirinya sendiri punya pengalaman yang bisa mengenali wujud bermakna dalam satu benda atau karya seni tertentu dengan getaran atau rangsangan keindahan. Sekali lagi, jelas bahwa persoalan kecantikan adalah pengolahan kognitif dan afektif individual.</p>
<p>Persoalannya kemudian adalah, jika kecantikan tidak lagi personal, tidak lagi dikontemplasikan, melainkan larut dalam suatu realitas semu, suatu pencitraan semu yang massal dan fatal. Kecantikan menjadi bagian dari jejaring imajiner yang lebih dikenal sebagai  simulakrum. Kecantikan menjadi terselubung kabut dan kemudian menjadi tidak terlihat karena perspektif subjektif dari masing individu yg melihatnya dikooptasi oleh sebuah prespektif &#8220;umum&#8221; tentang apa itu cantik yang  ternyata adalah  bentukan  suatu kondisi pada suatu masa demi kepentingan-kepentingan tertentu. Pemahaman keindahan menjadi dangkal, ia tidak lagi komprehensif dalam setiap dimensinya, karena ia kehilangan unsur kontemplatifnya yang personal dari masing-masing individu, kecantikan tidak lagi otentik. Hal ini menyebabkan situasi keterjebakan individu pada “banalisasi kecantikan“.</p>
<p>Setiap individu perlu kembali merenung sejenak, menarik diri dari kerumunan, dan mulai merefleksikan apa sesungguhnya arti kecantikan. Walau kecantikan (mungkin) tidak dapat dijelaskan, yang perlu diperhatikan adalah kecantikan tidak dapat dikategorikan ke dalam tolok ukur tertentu. Lebih ekstrem lagi, tidak ada dan tidak akan pernah ada patokan atau standarisasi terhadap apa yang cantik dan tidak cantik. Sesungguhnya segala sesuatu cantik adanya. Selamat berkontemplasi.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s Sunday. You wake up and look at the clock. You had a late night Saturday and realize that it&#8217;s after noon. This means you slept through all of the morning Masses and there is only one option left. Yes, you guessed it. The 5pm Life-Teen! You groan and pull the pillow over your head, wishing it were not true, but it is. 5pm rolls around and you reluctantly get dressed for Mass in some nice clothes, only to be passed in the parking lot by teens wearing cut off shorts, flip-flops, and band t-shirts. You can hear the drums even before you open the 70&#8217;s glass doors to the church building. </p>
<p>Then you sit down in the pew and, for one solid hour, witness something similar to the following&#8230;.</p>

<p>As you leave the church, irate, fuming, and appalled you wonder&#8230;&#8221;How can this be!? How can the Bishop allow this!? This is not a Mass it is a mockery! Why doesn&#8217;t the Pope ban this nonsense!?&#8221;</p>
<p>You then think of that church just a few minutes from your house. You heard they say the Latin Mass there, the women wear chapel veils, the congregation dresses reverently, they sing beautiful Latin Hymns. And their church actually looks Catholic! Statues instead of banners, candles, a beautiful altar. Oh, but if you could just go there for Mass. To actually look forward to a reverent Mass instead of dreading and then being forced to go to what you just witnessed again. And even if you woke up for your local morning Masses, would they be much better? You know, the ones with the now 60+ year old hippies on the liturgy committee&#8230;</p>

<p>The horror! But isn&#8217;t that nice Traditional church run by the SSPX? Aren&#8217;t they excommunicated? Schismatic? Wouldn&#8217;t it be a sin to go there? Aren&#8217;t I destined to go to my local irreverent, banal, noisy, humanistic mass forever?</p>
<p>Not so fast! There is hope. Let&#8217;s look at this&#8230;.</p>
<p>Columnist Brian Mershon recently wrote the Pontifical Commission of Ecclesia Dei (PCED) in Rome and asked them a few questions. The full Q&#38;A can be found here:<br />

<p>The answers might help to shed light on whether you could attend an SSPX Mass and still be loyal to Rome.</p>
<blockquote><p>Q: Do lay Catholics who frequent Society of St. Pius X chapels, either more less frequently, incur any sin or canonical delict by doing so, if done solely out of devotion to the Church&#8217;s Latin liturgical tradition and not to separate one&#8217;s self from communion with one&#8217;s diocesan Ordinary or local pastor?</p>
<p>PCED: &#8220;Catholics who frequent the chapels of the Society of St. Pius X do not incur any sin or canonical delict by doing so&#8230;</p></blockquote>
<p>Does going to Mass at an SSPX Chapel fulfill one&#8217;s Sunday obligation?</p>
<p>The PCED answered this question in a 2003 letter found here:</p>

<blockquote><p>In the strict sense you may fulfill your Sunday obligation by attending a Mass celebrated by a priest of the Society of St. Pius X.</p></blockquote>
<p>Can one donate money to the collection at an SSPX Mass?</p>
<blockquote><p>It would seem that a modest contribution to the collection at Mass could be justified.</p></blockquote>
<p>But, how authoritative are these answers from the PCED? In response to Brian Mershon, the PCED writes&#8230;</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;As we already stated to you in our letter of 4 July 2007: &#8220;This Pontifical Commission does its best to transmit responses which are in full accord with the magisterium and the present canonical practices of the Catholic Church. One should accept them with docility and can act upon them with moral certainty.&#8221; We would further add that no dicastery of the Holy See will give other responses than those which we have given here.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Can one receive communion at an SSPX Mass?</p>
<p>Mr. Mershon responds here:<br />

<blockquote><p>For the record, I have written the PCED twice on this matter requesting clarification on whether or not the reception of Holy Communion is a sin or a proximate occasion of sin at an SSPX chapel&#8230;</p>
<p>In both instances, the PCED has refused to answer this explicit question&#8230; </p>
<p>I have concluded that since I have done everything in my power to find out what the Church authoritatively teaches on this matter, and they refuse to answer, that indeed, it is not sinful. Otherwise, they would have been obligated to let me know since I have asked the specific question.</p></blockquote>
<p>So, in conclusion, we now know several things.</p>
<p>1.) You can frequently go to Mass at an SSPX Chapel for love of the Latin Tradition and not sin in any way or suffer any canonical sanction for doing so.</p>
<p>2.) You can fulfill your Sunday obligation at an SSPX Mass.</p>
<p>3.) You can receive communion at an SSPX Mass, since, if it were a sin, the PCED would have had to tell Mr. Mershon as much when he asked them twice.</p>
<p>4.) You can give a modest contribution to collections at an SSPX chapel.</p>
<p>5.) These answers can be relied on to a moral certainty.</p>
<p>So if you find the above story familiar, get ready to leave this&#8230;.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Les médiums auxquels j&#8217;ai recours sont variés (photographie, vidéo, installation, interventions dans l&#8217;espace public). Ce sont des moyens spécifiques qui s&#8217;imposent devant des situations particulières.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Mon attention se portent sur des événements qui semblent sans importance, pourtant il s&#8217;agit toujours d&#8217;infiltrer le réel par de légers dérèglements pour activer d&#8217;autres questionnements, perturber nos repères habituels, donner une portée singulière à des actions anodines.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify;">Les séquences qui composent la vidéo <em>Quand les arbres auront des dents </em>constituent un prolongement des interventions de l&#8217;artiste dans l&#8217;espace public. Le geste dérisoire de secouer un arbre renoue avec sa symbolique traditionnelle de vie et de lien naturel entre les éléments. C&#8217;est aussi une manière de repenser son propre engagement : « Mon choix s&#8217;est porté sur le motif de l&#8217;arbre, invariant du paysage urbain, sorte de résidu artificiel de la nature dans la ville. Non pas le photographier, il est déjà immobile, mais le secouer, le faire trembler et filmer en plan fixe l&#8217;action. Ce geste à la fois absurde et dérisoire me permet de toucher le paysage, d&#8217;entrer en contact avec cette réalité, parfois de la modifier.</p>
<p style="text-align:justify;">Derrière ce micro-événement il y a l&#8217;idée d&#8217;agir sur l&#8217;espace dans lequel je vis. Cette fable peut alors se rejouer dans n&#8217;importe quelle ville, infiniment, sous de multiples variations. »</p>

<p>Mno, şi merg eu după pâine, cumpăr, când&#8230; mă suna asta, moldoveanca, actriţa&#8230; că ce mai faci, aaa, păi să trec pe la ele, că stau foarte aproape de unde mersesem eu după pâine, că nu ne mai văzusem, să mai vorbim una-alta&#8230; plm.</p>
<p>Urc la ele în apartament şi bă&#8230; vreau să zic că nu mai fusesem la ele acasă până atunci. Bă, tu ştii cum stăteau fetele astea, în ce condiţii&#8230; sărăcie de-aia, de mi s-a făcut milă. Actriţe tinere, săracele&#8230; Condiţia artistului în RO, plm&#8230; etc. N-aveau de niciunele.</p>
<p>Când să plec, le-am lăsat lor pâinea pe care o luasem pentru acasă.</p>

My TF liked this one as a kind of warping of skin, like peeling off a layer.</p>

I had this really weird fixation on tongues that weekend because I felt like tongues looked SO weird in photographs - like slimy creatures or organisms with lives of their own! The form and texture are just purely bewildering.</p>

<description><![CDATA[If you are like me you are tired of always hearing the same BANAL remarks. The same comments that so]]></description>
<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p><a href="http://freemanpress.wordpress.com/files/2008/09/well.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-429" title="well" src="http://freemanpress.wordpress.com/files/2008/09/well.png" alt="" width="303" height="400" /></a>If you are like me you are tired of always hearing the same <a href="http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/banal">BANAL </a>remarks. The same comments that sound good about our problems but we know don&#8217;t mean much at all.  If only we would unite, if only we would take care of our own, if only we would stop drugs, if only if only if only. It&#8217;s like people throw them out there like they are pitching coins into a wishing well or I&#8217;m supposed to accept them and think they are wishing well.</p>
<p>In the past all these sayings actually meant something because they were relevant to what was going on around them at that time. I&#8217;m sure they could see &#8220;The Man&#8221; or &#8220;Pigs&#8221; or &#8220;Fight the Power&#8221; but do we? I think we have commercialized and trivialized most of our sayings now that you can find them on a T-shirt. Every time I read or hear them I always think this is how fucked up the situation is. We just throw out any comment like &#8220;I hear you brother, Keep Hope Alive, or Right On&#8221; I don&#8217;t even know if people believe what they are saying as much as they just like saying them.</p>
<p>I wonder sometimes have the same words that were used to give us a sense of pride and power now are interpreted to be remnants of a failed campaign. Have all these sayings become something to connect us to our more rebellious past? Do they strike fear in anyone anymore?</p>
<p>The truly sad thing about it these old rally cries are seen more a sign of your insanity. People wonder what the hell you are trying to do, who fired you today, or overall question your intelligence. When you commercialize anything, like those old leather Africa necklaces of the 80&#8217;s; it ends up meaning nothing at all. Some people actually felt like they were representing something great while other people were trying to find some matching yellow Cross Colours jeans.</p>
<p>Solution: When you make a comment on our situation please be constructive. Please think of something that will push the conversation forward instead of a empty saying that shows your agreement. I know sometimes you don&#8217;t know what to say, as do I sometimes, but how about being quiet. When I hear these sayings when people are talking serious I think to myself that motherfucker is stupid. So don&#8217;t pitch quarters into the wishing well because those tired ass comments have about as much of a chance of inspiring the masses as you becoming rich from the God you believe answers quarters thrown down a drinking hole.</p>

Ea&#8230; nu a terminat inca de cantat melodia, vocea ei suava imi face degetele sa tasteze haotic cuvinte ce nu sunt gandite, dar ce par atat de insufletite. Gri-ul a devenit acum ceata, si se lasa usor, usor ca un val de oboseala. Da&#8230; este oboseala unei zile banale, pline de comun. Dar dintr-o data melodia ei se opreste mult prea brusc, schitez un ultim gest, dar acest monstru ce ma cuprinde acum imi ia toate puterile, facandu-ma inutil. As fi fost scalvul ei, dar oboseala e mult prea puterinca, imi tintuieste acum si mintea si ma face sa spun doar: Noapte buna!</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><p>I found this <a href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2008/oct/07/smoking.health">article</a> today, and whilst I have commented on it <a href="http://jollygabriel.wordpress.com/2008/10/03/about-84mm/">elsewhere</a> felt that I should reserve this comment for my blog as it is rather flippant, but perhaps not a bad idea. </p>
<p>Surely with these &#8216;hard hitting&#8217; images arriving on cigarette packages so soon it will go two ways:</p>
<p>1) some people will be genuinely excited about collecting the set of the 14 images, and will no doubt delight in showing the picture to the people they are with every time they get a cigarette out</p>
<p>2) and probably more likely will be people who just think enough is enough, I want to enjoy my cigarette not be more stressed out by the experience (as mentioned in Mutterings that Matter above). So it is surely about time that people start thinking about using <a href="http://www.google.co.uk/products?client=firefox-a&#38;rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&#38;channel=s&#38;hl=en&#38;q=cigarette+cases&#38;um=1&#38;ie=UTF-8&#38;sa=X&#38;oi=product_result_group&#38;resnum=1&#38;ct=title">cigarette cases</a> again; surely an elegant solution to the uncomfortable sight of someone else&#8217;s foul and cancerous mouth.</p>
<p>For those that are so inclined you could even launch a range that carried the 14 images so that people could carry their favourite government approved image with them.</p>
<p>Actually I forgot the 3rd category of people that won&#8217;t cares either way.</p>
<p>Anyway, just a thought.</p>

The blogger was concerned that his recent postings did not have that inspired zip he is looking for. He claimed to be in a pattern of life where there was only the &#8220;status quo&#8221; and this was somehow acceptable, but undesired. Do you ever feel like this <a href="http://inchristus.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/moments-of-glory/">blogger</a>? Do you lament the fact that those moments of glory are too few and far apart? Is the mean time to moments of glory becoming a longer span?</p>
<p>I could go on, and on, but I am sure you are already looking for the exits. Stay with me on this one. Have you ever heard the term; everything&#8217;s relative? No, this is not making some reference to that Uncle everybody has in their family, but nobody wants to talk about him. No, this is about you and what you call a moment of glory. Perhaps just waking up in the morning is a moment of glory for you? It is all relative. I know getting your husband to put down the toilet seat can approach that moment of glory state, hmm?</p>
<p>If you are looking for that moment of glory where the choir can be heard singing Handel&#8217;s &#8220;<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messiah_(Handel)#Hallelujah">Hallelujah Chorus</a>,&#8221; then you may have some waiting to do. </p>

<p>Surfers, if everything you do reveals God, then you don&#8217;t need to wait. When you feel that you are in a pattern of life where you are just supporting the status quo, God is revealing himself to you in that pattern. I am not trying to tell you how to feel, or what to think, but you don&#8217;t have to wait for God&#8217;s inspiration. Think about it. When you make apple pies, God is there. How can you find God in the mundane activities of life? This is our task at hand. This is the God of the present moment.</p>
<p>Dear <a href="http://inchristus.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/moments-of-glory/">blogger</a>, if you would allow me to say, all those postings that you made, and still feel didn&#8217;t meet your expectations, are full of God&#8217;s grace. God was using you to reach others in each and everyone of those. Keep up the good work, even if it is just status quo. God is in there.</p>
