Obviously I won't ever meet her, or ever get a chance to have a relationship with her or anything (for millions and millions of blatent reasons), but she is totally the kind of girl I'd go for. I wish soooo much that I had a girl like her at my school. Unbelievably attractive, funny, nice, hot, artificially colored hair, punkish, cute, sarcastic, and hot. Everything about her is all around great. I BARELY ever watch music videos, but Paramore ones are the exception. She dresses great, she has a nice body, the whole deal. And I LOOOOOOOVE it when girls dye their hair to colors that couldn't ever naturally happen. Anyway I really hope I end up with a girl just like her in the long run. To me, she is perfect. In all of celebrity-land, I have decided that she is the most attractive. She makes Avril Lavigne look like a STUMP!

Hopefully I'm not coming off as creepy here, but I just thought I would get that out. If I ever do meet her, that would be pretty awkward for me, because somebody as great as her (and also as famous) could never have any sort of attraction to somebody like me. I hope she doesn't see this post. But who knows...if she wasn't famous, and lived around here, MAYBE I might have a chance with her in a few years? Nahhh... I'm finally getting better from being sick.  Slight cough left, and that's about it.  YAY!

Today is National (and international) Coming Out Day.  
Just thought I'd share.  
Started in 1988, sort of commemorates the first Gay Pride Parade thing, if I remember what I read correctly.
Um, anyway, that's sort of important, I suppose.  I mean it is, but since I'm as out as I can be at the moment, or desire to be anyway, it doesn't apply to me.  If I was out of my parents' house and had a way to go somewhere, I'd go show my "pride" out somewhere (where isn't important).  

I did however have a good idea yesterday afternoon.  But it's more of the same, so I won't go there.

And, I did decide that I need a life.  
Like, all this Human Rights stuff is great and all, and I'm so behind it, 100% but I do need other things to talk about, I suppose.  
Other things to DO.  You see what I mean?  

I'm still awesome.  I've been awesome-y feeling since Monday afternoon.  Thursday was my catching point.  That was the one, you know, staying at school for forever.  Ya that afternoon wasn't all that nice, no.  But the rest of it was good.  

Oh, and um, I took a quick break, sorry.
AND....figured out how to use visual basic.  Damn thing, is so finicky, I guess.  BUT IT WORKS NOW, so that's all that matters, I suppose.  
Then again, that DOES mean I will have to do my homework.  
GRRRRrr to homework.
Oh well.  

It was cool when it worked.  Other than I can't get the answer to stay up for some reason.  It likes to disappear when it's finished and I don't know why.

Let me preface this by saying that I hate my job and have hated my job for some time now. I am actively seeking new employment.

Night began like any other. A bunch of douchey rich people checking in. Everyone's tired and just wants to sleep. No one wants to chat. Boredom. Then silence for awhile. Finally 3:00 AM rolls around and the drunks start wandering in. That means the noise complaints and drunken "omgiamhavinganissue" calls will start trickling down the pipeline at about 3:30 AM.

First few are calls about the movie system not working. Nothing new, but than again that's what happens when you gut the innards of an old hotel, give everything a face lift, and leave all the shitty half-functioning (but vital) systems intact. That's why customer service is top priority at my job. People have to be really good at apologizing because half the shit we depend on is constantly breaking down.

Anywho, after fielding the first wave of legitimate calls I start getting the dumbasses calling down who think everything that was funny in high school/your college dorm/or just an inside joke are still funny when taken out of context. The first real dumbass, the one who christens the night, comes down at about 3:15 AM piss drunk, checks out, and then asks "where is the train." The Night Porter and myself let Drunky know that the train does not actually start to run until about 5:30 AM, but we're happy to call a cab for him. He gurgles something unintelligible, which we take as an agreement

Drunky waits in the lobby like a good puppy, making comments about the art we have hanging on the walls. He really likes the picture where you can see the lady's bottom. For the entirety of his stay in the lobby he is loud and belligerent and often asks us if we are made uncomfortable by his presence. We say "no." Secretly, he freaks the living shit out of me. The cab takes a little longer than anticipated and Drunky waddles up to the front desk and asks where the train is again. Lather, rinse, repeat as needed.

Drunky leaves and all is quiet for awhile. Finally, the club rats start filtering in. Club rats are a unique breed in and of themselves. The men are often muscly, sporting name brand shirts that expose the maximum amount of aforementioned muscle. The women are tan, blond, dumb, loud, tall, full of tits, and often greasy.

Most of the time the club rats stumble into the elevators so that they may ascend to their given floor, like the Almighty Gods of the Cool Kids that they so naturally are, and proceed to fuck the living shit out of one and other, often times ejaculating on the faux fur rugs we so diligently promote on out website (they're so beautiful, and soft, and... covered in jock jizz).

One particular pairing stops off in the lobby to experiment with the chairs that OMFGITSPINS. After awhile the male of the species asks me if they can take it up to their room for, like, twenty minutes. I tell him no. He asks me about fifteen minutes. I proceed to ignore him, seeing as how I have shit to do. Undaunted and apparently unawares of my unspoken enmity towards them, the female continues to spin while the male drifts off to that wonderful place far from sobriety and ever so close to sleep.

The bitch spins for fucking fifteen minutes.

Halfway through, the evening manager (who never goes home, apparently) steps out of the back to go do something in the break room He has to pass the Spinning Duo in order to get to the break room. He comes back a few minutes later, nonchalantly points to the girl, and whispers in my ear "no panties." My gorge rises slightly as I imagine an enormous Arby's roast beef sandwich replacing her and spinning around merrily in the chair.

Whilst No Panties and OMGIHAZMUSCLES do their thing in the lobby the phone rings. I pick up the phone:

"Hello, this is [Enter My Awesome Name Here], how can I help you?"

"My porn's not working."

Yep, this is the kind of shit I have to deal with every night. The drunk, the belligerent, and enormous slabs of steaming hot beef slices all lined up in a row and ready to annoy the living fuck out of me, one by one.

Anywho, Porn Guy tells me his belabored story, sparing no expense on such puns as "this really sucks" and "I feel like I'm getting screwed here" and then acknowledging them. That's right. He acknowledged them, and then he spelled them out for me. Just to make sure I got them. You know, getting every last drop of humor juice from the funny orange. Belaboring it. Not letting it go. Coming back to the first pun to make sure I got it, to make sure that the breadth and impact of the humor itself was not lost on me.

I hated Porn Guy instantly.

Nonetheless, I send the Night Porter up to give him a new remote as his had apparently died. As the Night Porter tells it though, the guy didn't just want the remote. He wanted to make sure it worked and he wanted the Night Porter to come into his room and prove to him that it worked. So, the Night Porter did just that. When the Night Porter did not expect was Porn Guy's wife to be lying there on the bed completely naked and acting undeniably bored. So the Night Porter got a show on both ends. He got to see Porn Guy's naked wife and he got to watch porn for a few minutes. Good for him.

Too bad Porn Guy is an idiot because he calls down a few minutes later demanding that I make the $29.99 porn package he ordered complimentary because of the "embarrassment" he suffered.

So hold the fucking phone. Embarrassment? You called down saying "my porn isn't working," invited the Night Porter into your room with your naked wife there to watch some porn with you, and make a thousand and one porn puns and you expect me to believe that you could ever be embarrassed by anything? I think fucking not, sir. You will pay this hotel for your porn package and you will do it with a smile on your face.

If Porn Guy didn't put me in enough of a bad mood, I got a lecture from the evening manager (who never goes home) because I apparently am not the model worker anymore and he wants to know what he has to do in order to get me to "do my job." Well, showing some competence in your own right would be a good start. I mean, I understand that you're at odds with the people in charge and all that jazz but don't take it out on me.

And to top it off, I come home determined to end the day well (I really fucking hate getting reprimanded at work) and decide to cook my favorite breakfast food (ham, egg and cheese on toast) only to turn on the wrong burner and burn a hole in my plastic strainer. Thus ending another shitty day and ruining one of my burners.

Strangely enough, though. I'm not in a bad mood. I gave up feeling like shit because of my job and clumsiness awhile ago (as I stated before, I hate my job and I've already broken more household appliances in the past month than in my entire life). Also, the Night Porter and I made a shit ton of money in just the past few days though completely legal means.

Meh. Just bitching. Don't take too much from this.

I'm totally nuking some gummy bears tomorrow and watching the little bastards burn.

Let's take a step back, though, October is obviously the month of Halloween, Breast Cancer Awareness month, the month of Oktoberfest etc.  It's also DINOSAUR MONTH, which I will be calling Dinosaur Awareness Month.  Poor dinosaurs are always getting lost in the shuffle, and if I hadn't been at the library yesterday, I wouldn't have known about it either. In celebration, I will now list a few fun dinosaur facts that people may or may not know.

There is no such thing as a Brontosaurus.  Remember growing up, that giant long-necked herbivore of the sauropod genus was always called a Brontosaurus?  Then, I stopped paying attention for a moment, and it became Apatasaurus.  I feel that not many people know why, because when a friend of mine was wearing a t-shirt with an Apatosaurus on it, and I correctly identified it, he was wildly impressed (dinosaurs are super-awesome).

The story goes, dinosaur nomenclature dictates that the first name given to a dinosaur is the correct one.  In 1877 Othiel Charles Marsh found a skeleton and named it Apatosaurus ajax.  Two years later, he found a similar skeleton and named it Brontosaurus excelsus, which means Thunder Lizard (clearly, he had been thinking up cool names in the interim, plus this skeleton was larger and more thunderous).  The only problem was the fact that the Thunder Lizard skeleton was incomplete-- lacking a skull.  Marsh fashioned one according to what he believed it would have looked like, and wound up creating a massive skull to match the massive body.  The skull created was similar to the Camarasaurus:

Finally people stepped back and examined the skeletons and realized that they were actually the same, or similar enough to eliminate the need for two names.  The mighty Brontosaurus excelsus, actually had a puny little head, and all signage would need to be changed.

Getting away from sauropods, the largest of the stegosaurid armoured dinosaur or Stegosaurus has the smallest brain of all the dinosaurs-- size of a walnut.  However, he has another things going for him that baffled scientists for years.  There is a large cluster of nerves in the hip/tail region, that led many to think that it was actually a second brain that controlled reflexes in the rear of the body.  This has been disproved, and Stegosaurus remains just the dinosaur with the smallest brain-- although it was chosen as the state dinosaur of Colorado since that's where it was first discovered.

StarCraft 2 Now A Trilogy, Three Campaigns to Be Split Into Separate Games

Blizzard today announced that StarCraft II will be released as a trilogy of separate games, each concentrating on one of the universe's three factions.
The first game in the trilogy will consist of the Terran campaign, and is set to be titled "Terrans: Wings of Liberty."

The second Zerg-focused title will be "Zerg: Heart of the Swarm," with the third game being "Protoss: Legacy of the Void."

"[The second and third games] will be like expansion packs, but we really want them to feel like standalone products," said Blizzard's Rob Pardo.
Each campaign will be very different, with Pardo announcing the Zerg campaign will contain RPG elements. The Protoss campaigin will likewise be differentiated by elements of diplomacy. In addition, the Terran campaign will feature a Protoss mini-campaign.

The campaigns are planned as concentrated, epic storylines, with enough content to justify a full release. As a result, the games will now feature more in-game cinematics and story content.

Blizzard added that the plans for the multiplayer component are unchanged by the splitting of the campaigns. However, some units will now be unique to the campaigns and will not be playable in multiplayer.

Pardo noted that the decision was necessary to maintain the quality of the product, the alternatives either being a long delay of the game, or a scaling back of the campaigns.

More details may become available during BlizzCon, which continues through this weekend.

Oh, and the Warcraft movie will not be finished in 2009. The boys at Blizz saying they still have a lot of work for it.

Sadly, it is a mouse that always seems to race against the clock.  They sleep during the winter, six months without any nourshiment, then they have to regain their energy so they eat a lot of flowers, then they need to mate so they eat even more to be able to cope with it. It has a head and body length of 65-80 mm and a tail length of 40-55 mm and it weighs 14-40 grams. The coloration is pale olive brown with a dark brown to black dorsal stripe. It has the cutest feet ever, and they are probably the best functioning ever. It is really fast, and it runs upside down on the thinnest of branches in order to reach those pretty flowers. It has been forbidden in law to even touch this mouse without a special permission.

It's one of japans national treasures and it's a new animal that I have fallen madly in love with.
