Franco Luciani - Violentango (A.Piazzolla) - Video

Franco Luciani es uno de los músicos más notables y talentosos de la nueva camada de cultores de la música popular argentina.

Nació en la ciudad de Rosario en 1981, estudió en la Universidad de Rosario (Escuela Superior de Música) y en la Escuela Provincial de Música de la misma ciudad.
Actualmente reside en la ciudad de Buenos Aires.

Si bien su formación académica en las dos instituciones se basó en la percusión y batería, su carrera profesional se asienta en la interpretación de la armónica en todas sus versiones, pero preponderantemente la cromática.

Se ha convertido en un destacado intérprete de la música argentina, tanto rural como urbana (folklore-tango).

En el año 2002, se consagró ganador del certamen Pre Cosquín, en el rubro Solista Instrumental, y luego fue galardonado con el Premio Revelación Cosquín 2002.

A partir de su premiación, Franco Luciani ha desarrollado una carrera que se encuentra en constante crecimiento.

Ich nehme mir jetzt erst mal zwei Wochen Schreibferien in den Leichen der Zeit.

Werd ein wenig Anlauf nehmen für das nächste Semster, kleine und feine Projekte und danach werden die Leichen der Zeit etwas persönlicher und unpolitischer weitergehen.

Politik gibt es auf rigardi, hin und wieder auch von mir, da muss ich mich hier nicht ärgern. Unter den Leichen der Zeit werden sich dann hauptsächlich meine Ideen über das Leben mit und ohne Internet finden.

Lesen werd ich natürlich weiter, besonders gespannt bin ich auf die Entwicklungen der Nationalratswahl, der Webpräsenz von Parteien und Politik vor und nach der Wahl, und auf die Vorbereitungen von Heinz auf das nächste Semester.

Und weil Montag ist, gibt es anlässlich meines neu erstandenden Schreibtischs und einer 10er-CD Kollektion von Astor Piazzolla natürlich noch Musik:

Astor y Amelita se instalan en Roma,
en un departamento cercano a
Piazza Navona, y Piazzolla se entrega
de lleno a la composición.

El resultado es una serie de piezas instrumentales breves
(sugerencia de Pagani para que pudiera ser difundido por radio),
emparentadas por sus títulos:

Libertango,
Violentango,
Meditango,
Undertango,
Violentango,
Novitango,
Amelitango y
Tristango.

Temas que iban a integrar el primer disco italiano de Piazzolla, junto a una remozada versión de Adiós Nonino.

El tema Libertango alcanzó gran difusión como canción popular

(junto con Adiós Nonino, es una de las obras de Piazzolla con más versiones):

lo grabaron Julien Clerc y Guy Marchand, y recibió incluso una lectura disco a cargo de la cantante Grace Jones, que lo convirtió en un hit internacional.

Versiones más recientes incluyen a Herb Alpert, Gary Burton, Al Di Meola, Richard Galliano, Yo-Yo Ma e Iva Zanicchi, etc.

Cuando Libertango fue editado en Estados Unidos,
una crítica aparecida en la revista Playboy le provocó a Piazzolla la siguiente reflexión:

“También me sorprendió el fenómeno de los Estados Unidos, el lado por donde entró mi música, una cosa sensual.

Playboy me dedicó un artículo extenso y les aconsejó a sus lectores que antes de hacer el amor escucharan un disco de Piazzolla.

Parece que pone en clima, es algo excitante. A mí nunca se me ocurrió que mi música pudiera tener ese costado sexual...

Lo importante es que
detrás de todo ese clima sensual
que me adjudican van conociendo la obra que grabé en Europa”.

Went to another great gig on Tribute Island, this time it was Joaquin Gustav's tribute to Astor Piazzolla, a tango composer of the late 20th Century.  As you can see, me and Hibiscus looked a bit worried again, sitting in the same seats as last time, either the seats were uncomfortable or we don't really dig the tango, but as it turned out Joaquin played some of the most beautiful guitar music we had ever heard, it was a wonderful gig.

Nikk got up to dance with Saffia Widdershins, the owner and editor of the Prim Perfect Magazine, and true to style she had one of the most lovely dresses on that I've seen in SL, the designers are so clever now that you can tell classy, expensive outfits just like in real life.

After the gig, Riel Radio played a great selection of music and I danced with Nikk and caught up with some news, it was a really good event and we will try to catch the other live gigs at Tribute Island in the future.

Well it was still quite early, so I went over to Murray after the gig and Treasure, Saab and Stef were there.   I was asking Treasure about her 'furniture making' and she rezzed a settee and a chair for us to see.  She is making some really nice stuff now.  I sat in the middle with Saab and Stef on either side and then Drax joined us. 

We had the regular flow of newbies or alts, some of which make out they are newbies, so Murray was having a normal evening.  We chatted until the inevitable happened, one of the 'rent-an-alts' started griefing.  The alt had started to IM me with newbie type questions just like before, so I knew what to expect, as he had singled me out from the others as usual, what is this fascination with me, lol, it must be love!!  Then the alt trotted off and the tired old boring wooden blocks filled the area, a bit like kids building blocks, suppose the griefer got the idea from the blocks his real life Mum got him for his birthday!

Drax, being my hero, did IM the alt to try to reason with him, but alas, it's like talking to one of the blocks, only the blocks have better communication skills.  At the end of the day the people who are being paid to grief Murray are too thick to work out why they are being paid, because they are the ones risking being banned for life, the people doing the paying would not part with money if they could get away with doing the griefing themselves, because they know, with their track record, they will be banned for life (again! and this time not be able to come back as an alt), so let the stupid ones take the risks for them for a few lindens.  The whole thing makes me giggle I'm afraid, it's not something you can take remotely seriously and its quite good bantering with them, gives me a laugh anyway.  It's only a matter of time before one of the paid griefers spills the beans on who is paying them to the Lindens, when they think they have been unfairly banned, so it's quite an interesting thing to witness.

Astor Piazzolla, komposer asal Argentina ini, menjadi fokus utama malam kemarin. Eduardo Tami (flute) bersama Aisha Pletscher (piano) dan Oliver Pletscher (gitar) mengetengahkan sang inovator itu dalam balutan sekaligus ciri khasnya, tango.

Piazzolla yang wafat tahun 1992 memang jarang dianggap sebagai seniman musik seni (klasik), tapi inovasinya di ranah tango Argentina sungguh besar, menggabungkan musik klub malam tersebut dengan citarasa jazz yang improvisasional, tango baru. Sehingga apabila digolongkan sebagai musisi dan komposer musik seni pun ia sungguh layak.

Dalam resital di Teater Kecil, Taman Ismail Marzuki, penonton dibawa dari hentakan sampai dengan hingar -bingar klub malam Argentina yang penuh tawa. Terlebih dengan ciri khas karyanya yang memadukan agresivitas sinkop dan melankolisnya tempo lambat. Semua tersampaikan dengan lugas pada pagelaran kemarin.

Namun ada satu kata paradoxal yang terus melekat, kesendirian. Ya, kesendirian Piazzolla terus terngiang di kepala. Tergambar dengan sangat jelas kesendiriannya semasa hidup dalam memperjuangkan sekaligus merombak tatanan tango, musik yang dianggap sebagai musik hiburan malam semata. Juga ketika inovasinya terbentur pro dan kontra di kalangan tangueros Argentina di pertengahan abad kemarin.

Sendiri, Tami membuka dengan permainan solo flute di bawah sorotan temaram panggung, serasa Tami mengungkapkan kesendirian Piazzolla dan segala keluh kesahnya.

Oliver yang kemudian mengiringi seluruh babak pertama sepertinya menekankan hal yang serupa. Ketika banyak gitaris menekankan bahwa gitar adalah orkestra mini dengan segala kemegahannya, adalah memuaskan mendengar Oliver menempatkan gitar dalam kesahajaannya, tidak perlu bermegah meniru orkes namun selalu hidup dan kaya akan warna. Bersama mereka menuturkan sejarah tango dalam Histoire du Tango yang berkisah perjalanan sejarah tango sampai ke panggung konser dunia.

Di babak kedua giliran Aisha yang menemani flautis asal Argentina ini untuk kembali menggali Piazzolla lebih jauh lagi. Lewat piano dan 4 Estaciones Porteñas, Aisha menghidupkan kembali semangat kelompok musik yang identik dengan kegiatan bermusik Piazzolla sendiri. Vitalitas, dengan tone yang bulat tapi jernih, dan kedamaian bercampur jadi satu.

Eduardo Tami pun menari dalam nada-nada flutenya. Tami pun memainkan not yang tertulis bagaikan berimprovisasi langsung. Perlu dicatat bahwa adalah sulit untuk memainkan karya Piazzolla pada flute. Rangkaian nada yang dijalin sang komposer serasa tidak pernah berhenti, menuntut flautis manapun untuk memiliki paru-paru baja layaknya sebuah bandoneon. Walaupun demikian, Tami dengan kelugasan flutenya memberi sentuhan baru dari karya Piazzolla.

Tak lupa ketiganya bergabung dalam trio flute, gitar dan piano. Semakin menyemarakkan musik Piazzolla yang banyak mengeksplorasi oktet, sextet, dan kuintet dengan ciri khas Latin Argentina yang kental.

Tapi di sepanjang keriuhan dan juga ketenangan, kesendirian itu tetap ada di sana, bertahan. Suatu sisi tango Piazzolla akhirnya tersingkap, suatu sisi yang seringkali tenggelam oleh semangat dan hentakan tango.

Inilah refleksi Piazzolla, seniman yang bertualang di ranah tango Argentina, dalam idiom musik klasik dan citarasa jazz. Berpetualang dalam solitudia, tapi kesendirian terkadang memang sungguh indah...

Kurt Elling: Nightmoves. Kurt Elling on todella mielenkiintoinen jazz laulaja, johon törmäsin pari vuotta sitten kuunnellessani nettiradiota. Hän lauloi silloin version John Coltranen klassikosta Resolution(Coltrane on saksofonisti). Hänellä uskomaton ääniala ja hän laulunsa rytmiikka toimii. Jotkut tuttuni ovat sanoneet, että hänen äänensä on tylsä, mutta olen vahvasti erimieltä. Annetaan hänen laulaa puolestaan: Easy Living, Natur Boy ja Minuano

JIM - (Intento de) Adios Nonino

Vincenzo invited me over for dinner after my good friend Francisco described my elation when I discovered this incredible, albeit distant, connection with the Kronos Quartet. Just a few minutes before I was due to leave for dinner, I frantically scavenged the house, desperately seeking an object on which he could put his John Hancock. What would be most memorable? My violin case? My metronome? My beaten part of Astor Piazzolla's Kronos-Quartet-dedicated "Four, For Tango"?

Alas, I did not find an object worthy of such a prodigious autograph. But I did shake the hand that bowed the glorious cello parts of the last few years of the Kronos Quartet's work. And I did get a picture with the famed Jeff Zeigler (even though I am not particularly fond of my bizarre formation of bangs in this picture...). They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Is that equivalent to a thousand autographs?

It took me an hour or so to get comfortable with the idea that I was talking to Jeff Zeigler. The Jeff Zeigler. But by the time we sat down to a wonderfully delicious home-cooked meal, Jeff Zeigler went from an untouchable celebrity to an awesomely cool guy: sweet caring, and bloody brilliant.

It makes me sad to say that this was the first time I had ever seen the Kronos Quartet (or a subset of the Kronos Quartet) in person. I have never been to a Kronos Quartet concert--I have only admired their work through the distant media of the internet. Again and again I have clicked "replay" to marvel at recordings posted on YouTube. Ahh, the Kronos Quartet. Why art thou so amazing?

After standing in awe before Jeff Zeigler, posing with him for a fabulous photo, and marking my calendar for his next performance, I still remember my first exposure to the glory of the Kronos Quartet. My quartet and I crowded ourselves around the speakers of my desktop and listened to their recording of "Four, For Tango." It became the first piece we performed as the Amani String Quartet. We never got a fancy stage, let alone a magnificent audience of Kronos Quartet fans, but we had fun. Cool piece, I'd say. And I am not usually one for music written after the death of Brahms. Unless of course, it's performed by the Kronos Quartet.

El show, dirigido por el Maestro José Ogivieki, transita diversas épocas del tango, contando su historia desde los comienzos. Bajo la dirección del bailarín y coreógrafo Flavio Catuara, dos parejas de bailarines del cuerpo de baile del Café Tortoni de Buenos Aires, interpretan diferentes épocas y estilos de danzas del género, cada una con su peculiaridad, como ser el tango, la milonga y el vals.

Durante el show se escucharán tangos y milongas de las Orquestas de Carlos Di Sarli, Juan Darienzo, Francisco Canaro, Osvaldo Pugliese, Aníbal Troilo y Astor Piazzolla.

La gira de "Tango, la música de Buenos Aires" cuenta con el auspicio de la Cancillería Argentina.

La presentación única del show en Lima será este domingo 1 de junio, a las 8.30 pm, en L'Anfiteatro de Barranco, Alfonso Ugarte 242 (esq. con San Martín).

Nachdem ich alle meine Videos unter YouTube mit englischen und japanischen Keywords versehen hatte, bin ich auf dieses Video aus Japan gestoßen. Es zeigt, dass das Akkordeon sogar in Japan bekannt ist. Eine sehr schöne Aufnahme mit sehr viel Professionalität und konzertanter Ernsthaftigkeit.

Ahora en Argentina se puede encontrar gran parte de su discografía en ediciones muy completas y con mucha información, pero esto se debe al efecto “for export” del tango y al aluvión de turistas post crisis que valoran lo que puertas adentro se bastardeo durante mucho tiempo, hace unos años no se encontraban mas que compilados mal armados en ediciones miserables y espantosas. Recuerdo que un melómano tan enfermo como yo me dijo, “si quieres buen material de Piazzolla lo vas a encontrar en Bélgica o Dinamarca, para ellos es Dios”.

En Argentina a Piazzolla no lo querían, los puristas del tango no aceptaban su renovación del género, lo mismo le paso al flamenco con Camarón y al jazz con Miles Davis, los genios renovadores nunca son reconocidos en su momento. La torpeza auditiva de sus contemporáneos es infinita.

Una vez que se ingresa al mundo Piazzolla es muy difícil poder salir de allí, su música no permite escapatoria alguna. Te abraza pero también te enerva, te excita y te alegra, todo esto al mismo tiempo, solo la música clásica o el jazz de genios como Monk, Davis o Coltrane lograron esto con mis emociones.

Para mi Buenos Aires suena a Piazzolla, solo con escucharlo puedo ver la calle Corrientes en blanco y negro, el obelisco y todo su universo, me remite a la fauna y flora de una ciudad nocturna y marginal, la que mas extraño porque ya no existe mas que en mis recuerdos.

El 2008 tuve la suerte de comenzarlo en Paris, por esos días mis emociones estaban un poco complicadas y mientras recorría la ciudad encontré en una tienda de discos un tesoro maravilloso, un box de 10 discos del maestro a 10 euros (a un euro por cada gema), fue el mejor regalo que la segunda ciudad del tango me podía hacer para comenzar este año que pintaba negro desde su génesis.

Recuerdo llegar al apartamento donde estábamos parando con mi mujer y poner una de las tantas versiones de Adios Nonino que traía esta cajita mágica, y que no pasaron dos minutos sin que empezáramos a llorar como niños con el corazón destrozado, con toda la angustia y la fuerza que dan el dolor y la nostalgia. Mas allá que derramábamos lagrimas personales lo que sentíamos era la música dentro de nuestro corazón, y toda esa emoción que no se puede contener, que si no sale para afuera te podes morir. Eso es Piazzolla, el músico mas increíble que pudo parir este mundo, y que por suerte para mi, nació en Mar del Plata.

Und dass es große Leidenschaft entfacht hört man sogar mit geschlossenen Augen.
