Alisa Boskonovitch - An pink-headed android girl wearing pink and purple. She also packs a pair of mechanical wings that enables her to fly, which is a great advantage on battle. Oh great, now Tekken already has a moe android on its roster... What's next? A maid?

Lars Alexandersson - A guy who seems to be after Jin Kazama. Speculation and rumors say that he is somewhat related to him as a stepbrother but one thing's for sure yet: he's got fabulous clothes and he looks bada**.

New stages have also been added, those with fountains, those with meteors falling on to you, and those with crashing helicopters by your side. I think the elements on the stages would be interactive this time around. New items are also featured ranging from guns, to guitars, to pets, and to magic wands X_X... Besides from that, a LOT of customizations will also be present.

Incredible Technologies has announced that they will begin shipping the latest installment of the Golden Tee series this coming Monday, which is great news for fans of GT who have been waiting patiently for this game. Operators will also be happy to know that location test earnings have been "phenomenal" for the game and I know from AMOA that it also carries a low price tag to boot. We'll have to keep an eye out for the youtube page where user videos will show up on, that's one aspect of the game I'm interested in seeing function.

While this Monday marks the release of the game in the US and Canada, it will be shipping elsewhere around the world, including Europe, Australia, and South Africa within the next 4-6 weeks.

1) It told me that I was getting chubby. The iPhone offered to help find me an affordable liposuction surgeon in my area. I woke up a few days later tied to a cow out in the middle of a field somewhere and I was even fatter than before.

2) I was driving to work one day and I saw a truck veering at me from an oncoming lane of traffic. Luckily, I swerved and avoided impact. I looked in my rearview mirror to jot down the license plate number of the truck and the plate number was:  iPH ONE.

3) One time, when I was contemplating going to an open mic night at a comedy club, the iPhone encouraged me to use the new material that I'd written. However, the iPhone knew damn well that my material was hacky and I ended up getting hardly any laughs at all.

4) I was in an arcade once and the game that I was playing was a skydiving simulator. While I was playing the game, the iPhone crashed a commercial aircraft into the arcade, killing 6 innocent people. I walked away with minor injuries.

5) The iPhone constantly gives me flat tires, wet willies, wedgies, hertz doughnuts, swirlies and titty twisters. Don't ask me how it does it, it just...does.

6) The iPhone once convinced me to join a radical muslim group and picket my local library. It was a minor inconvenience to several people and it wasted a few hours of my Saturday.

As you can see, the iPhone is making my life very difficult. Some of you may be asking yourselves, "Why doesn't he just destroy that thing, or unplug it so it doesn't charge up?" Well. You're probably going to think I'm crazy, but...I know the iPhone loves me. When it does these things, it's just mad at the world. I'd rather the iPhone take out it's anger on me than somebody it doesn't even know. Besides, the iPhone is good to me. I know you don't really see that side of it, but I really do have a good life with the iPhone. Sure we have our occasional fights and arguments. Sure it tries to kill me every so often, but let me ask you a question; would you rather have an iPhone that doesn't even pay you any attention or an iPhone that cares enough to try and end your life? My point exactly.

Já no modo Championship (campeonato) o jogador inicia o modo campanha, com um carro mais fraco e pouco dinheiro. Deve ir vencendo as corridas e melhorando seu carro, ou comprando outro melhor. Nas pistas, o jogador pode coletar dinheiro para evoluir mais rápido.

E no modo Multiplayer, o jogador pode chamar os amigos para uma corrida. Raging Thunder suporta até 4 jogadores em rede Wi-Fi. Ao todo são 10 pistas e 3 carros.

A jogabilidade é muito boa, e os controles fáceis de se dominar, tudo usando o acelerômetro. Deite o iPhone / iPod Touch para a direita ou para a esquerda suavemente (bem suave mesmo) para virar o carro. Do lado esquerdo da tela existe uma barra de nitro, que ao ser tocada (toque e segure) ela vai sendo gasta para dar mais velocidade ao carro. Para carregá-la novamente, o jogador deve pegar mais "nitros" no percurso, que ficam espalhados na pista. Tome cuidado com as caveiras que estão na pista. Quando o jogador pega uma delas, perde um pouco do seu nitro, e caso não tenha, o carro diminui a velocidade por um tempo.

Do lado direito da tela existe outra barra, a de ataque. Quando você pega a rabeira de outro carro (o chamado vácuo) essa barra se enche rapidamente e você terá alguns segundos para usar o ataque, dando um solavanco para frente e fazendo o outro competidor rodar.

A trilha sonora do jogo é pobre e os efeitos sonoros bem simples também (embora a aceleração do motor seja bem legal de ouvir). Outro ponto negativo é que o modo campanha (championship) é muito pequeno (10 pistas) e é bem possível que você vença todas elas e nem tenha conseguido evoluir seu carro no máximo. Ao terminar, você não pode mais correr com seu carro, deve iniciar outro campeonato do começo e com um novo carro... tudo de novo! Não é possível também escolher a pista, você deve sempre começar da primeira e seguir a ordem pré-estabelecida. A falta de um verdadeiro modo campanha que faça o jogador se sentir evoluindo, liberando novos carros, novas pistas e novos acessórios (como no seu concorrente direto, o Asphalt 4) faz com que o jogo não seja tão viciante. É ideal para uma corrida rápida na fila do banco!

Também não é possível escolher o carro no modo Quick Race. Somente no modo Championship e evoluindo para comprar, além do que, convenhamos, 3 carros é muito pouco!

Enfim, este é um jogo para os amantes de arcades, que gostam daquelas máquinas de corrida em fliperamas. Muita velocidade, correr contra o tempo e ir avançando de pista até terminar todas ou seu tempo acabar (o que vier primeiro). Mas é um bom jogo, garante muita diversão, e é muito gostoso controlar o carro.

Seu preço é um pouco salgado: $7.99 por um joguinho de apenas 2.8MB. Aliás o tamanho do jogo (em bytes mesmo) é a maior prova de que você provavelmente vai enjoar fácil devido à pequena quantidade de pistas e carros disponíveis.

It seems the Xbox Live Arcade really wants all of my money, as now they are bringing another one of my favorite arcade games to their service with Arkanoid Live.  Apparently it has choreographed background movies and background music, with 120 levels of block breaking madness.  The background movies appear to take place behind the action, with the game field happily staying black and unmeddled.  This will definitely be a game I'll be keeping my eye on. :)

At the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom is proudly demonstrating the latest betas of SFIV on the PS3 and Xbox 360 - which has led to questions about what differences there will be between the versions. Comments have been raised about the backgrounds and frame rate yet again - with the arcade version coming out on top. Of course the console versions are still in a beta state so it remains to be seen what will happen there and at this point it still isn't clear how well the vs. online support will stack up on the console versions. Also provided to us by The Stinger Report are screenshots of each version so far. Naturally one can't see the frame rate difference but it's still a decent guideline to go off of for now:

Verbatim, the Avatar disclaimer reads “customizing avatars requires a 256 MB memory unit or greater” which really isn’t that big of a deal, unless you are a Core or Arcade 360 owner. 256MB of storage would mean that Core owners are totally out of Avatar customization luck (though, we doubt they care) and Arcade owners would have to max out their bundled 256MB memory card. That means our Arcade friends would have to choose: Avatar customization or saving game progress. Decisions, decisions. « Source (You'll find the disclaimer at the bottom of there post)

Solution for this memory issue:

• Upgrade to a bigger hard drive,
• Buy a extra 256mb card,
• If buying a 360 for the first time
  don't buy the Core, or Arcade, 360

Tolle Idee eigentlich ... erstmal mit Dumping Preisen locken, dann nachträglich die User zum Kauf einer völlig überteuerten Festplatte überreden ( sobald die Herstellungskosten für diese weit unter dem VK liegen ). Dennoch - das ganze ist nur ein Gerücht, vielleicht ist nix dran. Vielleicht gibt es auch ein NXE light, ohne Avatare .. das könnte deutlicher kleiner ausfallen. Was den Usern dann entgeht ? The Tokyo Game Show is in full swing right now and there is some arcade-related news to come out of it. Direct from the Stinger Report comes some interesting news about Namco's Tekken 6 - a delay in the console release along with the consoles being inferior to the arcade version is certainly something to make arcade operators who have T6 already happy (console version pictures to the right):

Just as the report was going to the wire confirmation from the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) revealed that the home version of ‘Tekken 6’ will not be launched in 2008, but in 2009 in September (fall) in Japan, with expectations of a Christmas launch for the rest of the world. This is considerably longer than any consumer web site or magazine speculated – makes questionable amusement executive decisions in the States and UK not to buy and operate T6 as they would not have enough time to recoup the greater

expense of the game. The Stinger questioned when first stated at ATEI’08 the futility of this move – now we see that a major opportunity has been squandered, especially as the game had major player appeal as seen by the crowds that caused the ‘Tekken incident’ at the London show.

Another issue that was revealed at the TGS launch of the first images of the game was that rather than being a Sony Playstation 3 exclusive, Namco Bandai Games would also be launching a Microsoft Xbox 360 version of the game at the same time – the home version would also include the characters and features from the AM-Show’08 launched update. This marks the first time that Namco has allowed the brawler series to be launched on another platform. The success of the Xbox LIVE network – and the failure for Sony to achieve momentum of their broadband network fuelling this move; however sources revealed that though the latest version of ‘Tekken 6’ would be launched on the next-generation consoles – the actual functionality of the games will only be 85 per cent exact to the arcade version! The performance of the arcade System 357 Hardware and ALL.Net functionality seeming to surpass that achievable on the home platforms; this fact has been downplayed on many blogs and consumer news sites, but has fuelled heated debate on a number of forums towards the reality of getting an arcade ‘exact’ version of the game for home players.

With the launch of the new arcade ‘Tekken 6’ update at AM-Show’08, the question will once again be raised that now there will be a definite 14 months till the consumer game release, would it not be wise to build on the player clamber for the ‘exact’ arcade version of the game, by reversing the decision not to import the title?

Interesting news for sure, especially in lue of some talk about how much better the console version of SFIV will be to it's arcade counterpart.

Correct. Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion is coming to xbox360. Announced during Microsoft's TGS keynote, the 360 will see the game's release the same time the Playstation 3 does. No release date has been confirmed, but (Microsoft Games exec) John Schappert has told us to expect the game in late 2009.

Bittersweet for Sony, who I'm sure don't enjoy losing their exclusives - but are we seeing the beginning of a trend that has the Playstation 3 as lead console for developers? Certainly that can't be such a bad thing.
