Aloha!

1 thing down. We confirmed our venue already, dropped the idea of Aloha cuz it’s not feasibl

1 thing down. We confirmed our venue already, dropped the idea of Aloha cuz it's not feasible at all. To have a 3D 2N big bungalow we will have to pay S$1700+ just for the chalet itself w/o food and decor. Doesn't realy makes sense, and I have to take their catering too. Plus there's no tables or chairs, we have to rent like 100+ chairs and some tables, and also get a tentage for contingency etc.. etc...
Though it will be nice if we can DIY everything from scratch, but we drop that idea.

We finalize the details for BH over the weekend, corresponded with Daniel and he's really really nice! Accommodate to all our needs and requests! Everything we want, he try to work it out for us and give us a really good package.
And Cookie will be able to attend our ROM again!
There's decor package included for BH, aside from the F&B and there isn't much we have to do in terms of decor. Just a few details which I want to have. The rest will be done up by the staff of BH.

Not gonna reveal the venue of our ROM yet, if you want to know and make enquiries for your wedding or rom, do drop us a message ya.
I guess location wise, it's not really super ideal cuz it's not really that accessible. But we can't have best of both worlds.

We are also discussing on the themes, invites and also favors. Thankful that I have a FH that's always there to give me support and ideas. Haha.
Told Darling what I have in mind for the favors, showed him some pics too. And he gave some ideas and thought we can actually enhance it, and so I think it's decided and he say he will help do it! Haha. Cuz he suggested doing something else to further enhance my initial concept, keep the concept but something more to add on. I'm like 'Hm... not easy leh. Who's going to do it? And we need to do more than our invited guests.;
Darling than say, he will help loh! We will do 200. Haha. And I think our mummies should be good at such things? But now we have reduced our guests list from a 110 to 70 pax, think we dun have to do 200 liaos.

We are now keeping a lookout for photography service (ROM day and Pre-ROM photoshoot) and also for ROM Dresses/Suits, not forgetting MUA.
And hair too!

Saw some good feedbacks on Empire and Dress Me Up (Some bad comments on DMU too). Hm. So still sourcing for more alternatives. When the date is nearer will go down to the shop itself with Darling. And I'm also considering ROM Packages with BS cuz I know they do have full package with MTM gown, bouquet, hair and make-up. JessCouture is one of the much recommended one I came across.

Not forgetting, we have to go visit those fabric shops in SG/M'sia and also BKK when we go for our holiday in Jan to check out the prices and varieties!

Counting down to 09!

There are only few islands on earth which could perfectly satisfy all passions of travelers like a windsurfer who long for high wave, an adventurer who love trekking or just an individual who want to relax in a hip hotel or sunbathe on the beach.

It is unbelievable that, in the past, this island in the north of the beautiful Pacific Ocean was a volcanic mountain settled by Polynesian native residents, who now are still living around several islands including Tonga, Fiji, Samoa and even New Zealand. These islands own similar cultures in terms of language, religion, legend, music and dancing.

Hawaiian had lived with peace until 1778 when Captain James Cook, English explorer, discovered the island. Several countries like the US, France, Russia and any other, as a result, showed their desire to dominate the land. They moved in and settled down here, realizing the city’s location was convenient for trading. Eventually, Hawaii was legally admitted to be the 50th state of the US with Honolulu as the capital, on August 21, 1959,

Hawaii comprises a group of up to thousand big and small islands. Seven of these which are different in style and well-known among visitors are Oahu where Honolulu, the city’s capital, is located, Hawaii, the largest island of the state and the land of traditional civilization, Maui which is most visited by travelers and the venue for international sport competitions such as golf, windsurf and catamaran, Kauai which is outstanding for its abundant natural resources, Molokai where serenity lies around and the original features of Hawaii have mostly remained, Lanai where most area is fruit orchards and serenity lies around like Molokai, and Niihau where native inhabitants are still residing the most.

For this time visit, our destination is Oahu where travelers around the world come to admire the magnificence of Waikiki Beach, the 1.5 mile-long white sandy beach which has the Diamond Head Mount as a backdrop.

Hawaii is one of the most romantic destinations alluring people worldwide to set their wedding party or honeymoon. We frequently see a simple wedding party on the beach in early morning. Brides and grooms in Hawaiian shirt and short-pants and flower lei on their neck happily walk into the ceremony. It is truly appreciated scene that we can’t help envying those couples who have an opportunity to say the word “I Do” with big smile on this paradise island.

Strolling along the Waikiki Beach in the evening is another wonderful activity. Footpaths crowded with travelers in the mid day are brightly lighted along with glittery torches in the evening. You may choose to drop by to see live music performances available along the beach. The air of happiness pervading around is alluring people to dance like no one is watching.

Sprouting up along the beach, hotels and accommodations are not quite cheap when calculated in dollar unit. Most of beach hotels with sea view have prices ranging from 200 to 3,500 US dollars per night. The first luxurious hotel, established in 1927 and dubbed as the island’s landmark, is Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Once stepping in, you will be embraced with the sense of peace and calm, as if you are turning back to the time when Hawaii was not crowded with visitors as in present, but still facilitated with all convenience as in modern-style hotels.

On Oahu, there are several categories of hotels for your selection including worldwide chain hotel, stylish boutique hotel and middle-class hotel that all of which are decorated in Hawaiian style. The hotel prices also depend on surrounding view.

Don’t be afraid that your beach trip will lack in shopping. If you are shopaholic, Waikiki Beach features many leading brand-name outlets including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Dior, Chanel and any other leading brands worldwide lining along the beach.

Although Waikiki is the color of Hawaii, there are a large number of other attractions on the island for your choice. If you have time, driving around the island is enjoyable not less than surfboarding. Sunbathing on the beach is also a good idea since the volcanic-born coast makes Hawaii’s geography different from other islands with novel-shape mountains and distinctively beautiful beaches.

You may change the traveling style from relaxing on the beach to strolling around the downtown of Honolulu which has been the island’s capital since 1845. Honolulu is the perfect mixture of different races and cultures. You may find sushi bar adjoining with Vietnamese restaurant or Christian church not too far from Chinese temple. Walking along the city to sightsee museums, public parks, skyscrapers, universities or antique shops could also give you relaxing pleasure.

Established in 1926, Aloha is Honolulu’s another significant landmark. It is a 10-floor tower with view point on top overlooking 360 degree panoramic view of Honolulu. Its ground floor contains shopping center and restaurants.

The evening ambience on Oahu always impresses visitors. As the sun is setting down behind the mountain, couples holding hands together are watching it with regret. While sailboat players are sailing back to the seashore, the red circle is fading away into the sky, reflecting its light with clouds which suddenly change their color periodically until the sky is covered by darkness. Although the sun has set, it will come back on duty again when the new day comes.

Hawaii is the island of a number of legends as same as an experienced life. It has been welcoming visitors without any sign of tiresome. Let’s say goodbye to this fascinating island by using the a single word which the native has used to welcome us when we has arrived, the little word with big meaning to show love and care among the locals……Aloha Hawaii…

和仕源在一起的日子：第728天

Darling's at the airport now, waiting to board the 10.30am plane. Though I keep telling him I shall give him a surprise by knocking on his hotel room door but it's not gonna happen lah. Haha. Like I say, the air tickets within short notice is SO FREAKING expensive!!! Like S$400+, I can take SQ liaos. But well, I would rather save up the money for other purpose loh. Haha.

Took half day and made a trip to HDB Hub for our 2nd appointment. I left on time but also reached at 1.10pm sharp and probably cuz I took the long long way, had to walk one big round. But Darling was LATE!!! Haha. Though he managed to make it, cuz when he arrived it's our queue number liaos. Lucky, if not we have to wait for dunno how long.
Had a good luff during with the CS serving us, Jamilah. The whole scenario is so funny lah. Thanks to Darling and his crappy and lame jokes. We were all laughing away throughout the whole process, think the office is full of our voices and laughters. Haha.
The session ended with Jamilah saying,'He very jovial lah' Haha.

We will only be going HDB Hub again when it's time to get our keys. Hehe. Expected completion is 2012 but we can expect to get our keys 6 months to 1 year earlier.
Darling is anticipating that we will get our keys by mid 2012 or end 2011.

We went for lunch at LJS after our appointment. Darling dun really like LJS but he always eat with me. Haha. Been awhile since I ate liaos hor. Cuz there's no LJS near office mah. Bought lunch back for Bro also.

Darling and I were discussing on our venues again, and there might be some changes. Initially I wasn't very keen on the 'new' idea, but after considering and weighing the pros and cons, I actually like the idea. Haha. I like the idea of building up a empty area to something lovely and memorable, every little elements are from our very own ideas and touches. Darling ensure me that he will take up the full responsibility of the decorations, it will definitely be what I want and I will be happy.
There's alot of hassles when it comes to DIY, but I guess it will be really different and more meaningful. ANd I have been looking around for venues which we can actually relax and take our own sweet time, no time constraints like 4 hours or 3 hours where we have to clear the area. Some place where we can relax, chat and drink after the whole ceremony. And I guess this option is something worth considering.
And now when I like the idea, there might be some problems we have to solve first before we can really do it. Haha.

There's really like so many elements which we have to think and do etc... Writing down all the stuffs required and need some brainstorming. We shall pick on each other's brains. Haha.
Darling say leave the compilation of songs to him, so I gave him a deadline to do all the compilation.

It seems like a long wait before we get our flat, but actually the time frame is just nice I guess. All the short intervals in between for us to clear one thing after another. If everything goes as per planned, 09 will be our ROM, 2011/2012 we will be getting our flat liaos and also have to prepare for our wedding(customary)! That's like so soon loh!!!
Once our flat is here, we have to do the renovation, get all the furnishings etc... Gonna spend a bomb on all these. After which, another bomb for our customary. Haha.

I'm also exploring different themes, browsing through magazines and websites for ideas. When I was younger, I always wanted a Fairytale ROM/Wedding, I guess Fairytale is like a fantasy for almost every girl. But I dun really want a fairytale wedding or rom now, looking at something else.

And we do not wanna spend too much on just a ROM cuz there will be customary and other things up and coming. Darling have set up a budget for the ROM actually, so we shall try to work within the budget. Knowing me, I seldom work within budget but he's there to help. Haha.

I miss him!!!=( Darling be back on Friday night, late night after which he will be flying again on Monday and back on Friday again, flying again on Monday. His routine for the next 2 weeks.

We got a new camera!!!
Canon Ixus i7!

Happy like bird. Haha. And we got it at a real good price! Haha. But we didn't managed to get the camcorder. Well... Try again next time. Initially thought we can bring the camcorder to BKK and Darling can start filiming our shopping scenes. We actually shot like 4 or more tapes when we went HK! Haha. So nice!

I guess each and every girl look forward to their one very important day, the day where their bf propose to them and they proceed to the next step of their life, where they embark a new journey together. However I think it's important to note that a lavish wedding does not necessary mean a everlasting marriage.
Is a proposal really important? It is I guess. Depends on how you see it. Some couples mutually agree to get married, therefore no need for proposal. For our case, though I know this is the guy I'm gonna married already, we have already gotten our flat and we are already planning for our rom/wedding, however a proposal still need to come in first before our ROM becaues it's gonna be something real meaningful. Something that you will remember for the rest of your life and perhaps when the things get tough in the relationship, there's something to bring back happy memories. The proposal, the wedding etc...

But I realize alot of people make the proposal a must, they demand it from their BF/FH. Or it becomes like a peer pressure kind of thing where everyone is asking, 'So, have your bf propose?'' Makes you feel like you have to have a proposal, if not like very 没有面子.
I think it should come naturally though.

Most importantly, both the couple must enjoy the process of building up their love, their future. There should be more laughter instead of anger. Both should learn to compromise, listen to each others' ideas and discuss instead shut the other party out completely.
The wedding is about both of you, not just either party. If you watch Sex 'n' City, Carrie let the wedding be bigger than BIG and end up what happen? He ran away. Haha.

Cookie's very nuai today. Dunno why, yesterday night she slept like a log. Totally gone that kind. And these days, she always sit at one special corner where she will look up at her food, her meaty stuffs and wag her tail. We took a video yesterday, will upload soon. I have to upload it on YouTube cuz that's the only way I can and I know how to post videos on Wordpress. It's not for anyone to comment on, therefore comments are already disabled.

One thing about our new venue, DOGS not allowed.
Shit.
Darling say we will smuggle in, try. Haiz.

Aloha world, and welcome to my blog.

I have been told that I have lived under the old Chinese curse, “May you lead an interesting life.” I’ve been told that I write a pretty good story. I’ve also been told that I’m totally full of shit. We’ll see…

This blog has a purpose. Its purpose is to challenge your and my, precious clichés and belief systems, especially about ourselves and this illusion we call “life.” It will also make you think, if you let it. Above all, it will (hopefully) make you laugh, because laughter is the best reminder we have that we are all created by a Happy God with a cosmic sense of humor…

The US Navy destroyer USS Chung-Hoon gets a traditional welcome at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Find the poster, framed print, 12-month calendar or postcard set at The PatriArt Gallery.

USS George Washington (CVN 73) hosted Hawaii community leaders and educators Sept. 9, while conducting training operations off the coast of Oahu.

The visit to the GW was part of Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet's distinguished visitors (DV) embarkation program. The tour gave local leaders the opportunity to experience life firsthand aboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.

Guests experienced the takeoff and landing of the 1,092-feet runway and toured the working areas of some of the 5,000-plus Sailors.

"The entire 'once-in-a-lifetime' experience is something I will always treasure," said Kimi-Anne Houston-Sur of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii.

"Having the opportunity to land and takeoff on a carrier is a fantastic experience and getting to be up close and personal on the flight deck to witness takeoffs and landings is an experience beyond true description."

The DV embarkation program also helped complete a personal ambition.

"A 'cat' and a 'trap' have been on my 'bucket list' for years. Now I can die a fulfilled man," said John Bates of the Armed Services YMCA.

While the takeoff and landing are more obvious sources of excitement, for some DVs the opportunity to meet the Sailors was an eye-opening experience.

"These are kids that are making a difference in the job that they are doing, so that things are running safely," said Derrick Kang, director of college counseling for the Mid-Pacific Institute. "As a high school counselor, it was helpful for me to hear and see this. I came off the ship with a greater respect for the military. While I suggest the academies to many students, I won't be so hesitant to suggest the military."

For some, the experience left them with a strengthened sense of patriotism.

"I left your program feeling proud to be a U.S. citizen and proud of what our military is doing. I walked away feeling that I should not only encourage students to apply for the academies, but that enlisting wouldn't be a bad thing," said Kang.

George Washington departed San Diego Aug. 21 to begin the journey to Yokosuka, Japan, where it will replace USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) as the United States' only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier.

My My, looks like it’s over. Happened a little faster than I expected, but nevertheless. Y

My My, looks like it's over. Happened a little faster than I expected, but nevertheless. You know I just want to say a few things that have been bugging me for a very long time.

First: For so many of you that called me a Taylor hater and call this the "hate blog", you really never ever read what was said here did you? If you had, you would find wit, cynicism for sure, but you would also find truth and one person's opinion. I never spoke for the minions or for anyone other than myself. I never understood the amount of disdain and offense taken by my words. A whole lot of people agreed with me though, more than not and sure I got tough on Taylor, but this is a personal blog NOT A FANSITE, and is in no way affiliated with Taylor himself or his "people". And this blog was not affiliated with Mfoya either, I was kindly allowed to use the name so people could find us.

Second: I started this blog as a personal blog. Everyone wanted to keep talking Taylor after Mfoya left and this blog kind of took on a life of it's own. Good or Bad, I did my best to speak my mind and to relay the thoughts of others, taking massive heat from more than you can imagine most of the time. Honestly, it never swayed me though. I was brought up to believe in our consitutional rights. I believe in freedom of speech, along with the other doctrines. I may have hurt some feelings, but I never stated fact unless it could be backed up. It was opinions, frustrations and sure a whole lot of Taylor angst. When I would try to get off of Taylor as subject matter, I was asked to go back to it. I did try and mix it up. Many of you enjoyed my early memory blogs. Unfortunately thanks to 15 minutes of insanity, I had to stop writing those. Those blogs were very personal memories for me and to have her disrespect my deceased father by bashing me and himand my memories on other sites, just was enough for me. I will continue writing them now, but they will stay protected, out of respect for myself and my family; What the hell is left of them.

Third: I want to thank all of you who supported me through Taylorland and Taylordrama. Couldn't have done it without your friendship and your feedback. It truly was a rollercoaster ride but looks like the cyclone has crash landed. All of you helped get me through some very tough times in my life and I hope I helped some of you as well. To those who have left already, I do miss you, we miss you. The dust is settling, might be time to come back and visit in real life. Not Tay life. that is done now. If anything interesting comes up with him, I might bring it up, but now we are gonna go back to real life, real blogs, guest blogs, lots of those. Send me your stories, your poems, your memories, your angst, your pain, I'll post it. And if everyone still wants to talk about Taylor, go for it, I'm not going anywhere, I'm just riding out the storm of life. I may not be here as much, but the blog isn't closing and we can take whatever direction we want.

Tell me what you want to hear, what do you want me to blog about? As I said above, send me yours, I would love to share them. Let's get some open discussion out there and Dick don't you dare desert us now. We can still perv, I'm having a major Prison Break perv thing going on right now, just sayin.........

But no matter, this blog is my peace, my freedom of speech, my voice and my opinions and feelings. I never understood why if I offended people, they insisted on reading anyway. I know personally if something or someone upsets me, I avoid them/it like the plague. Don't need the drama. But I think many wanted the drama, took pleasure in keeping the games going and the anger in the forefront. I hope some of you came out of this with some good friends and good feelings. We have all been through a lot together and although we agreed to disagree, we still behaved like adults and spoke our minds. (well most of us, many of our visitors couldn't grasp the adult theme). So there it is, Mfoya wherever you are, thanks for a great ride. I hope someday, for those who have left, we will all come together again for something spectacular. It's safe to go in the water again. So for now.....

Peace! see ya soon.

Morph Out!
