Y además lo ha hecho con buen pie.
Si lo dice por la audiencia es evidente y a los datos me remito. De todas formas yo no me esperaba tanto y tan deprisa. Se trata de una producción que desde el primer momento ha enganchado con la audiencia. Está hecha con calidad y con mucho mimo y los espectadores han sabido reconocerlo. Lo único que he hecho es hacer mi trabajo con todo el cariño del mundo.

¿No la han llamado intrusa por no ser actriz profesional?
Desde siempre he sentido un enorme respeto por la carrera de actriz. He pasado un casting y tengo la suerte de contar con un grupo de compañeros que no han hecho más que ayudarme. Me siento muy feliz y lo he demostrado trabajando.

En pocos días llega la cuarta temporada, ¿más tranquila?
Por un lado estoy menos nerviosa, pero no bajo la guardia ni por un instante. En este trabajo no puedes dormirte en los laureles. Es mi obsesión. Nosotros podemos llegar con toda la ilusión del mundo y de repente puede haber algo que nos impida nuestro objetivo. De todas formas esto no va a suceder con El internado, ya que contamos con una audiencia fiel que nos sigue allí donde estamos, y eso que desde las cadenas vecinas han intentado atacar, pero nosotros siempre hemos contado con nuestros incondicionales. Es algo que pocas series han conseguido.

¿Es El internado, una producción difícil de imitar?
Desde luego. Se trata de un producto muy bien hecho. Tiene una mezcla de muchos géneros. Hay intriga, humor, drama, unos personajes adolescentes y una extraña mansión. Además, contamos con un excelente equipo técnico que cuida al detalle la fotografía, la música y el ambiente. Se trata de un producto muy mimado por parte de la productora y de la cadena.

¿Qué cree que ha visto la audiencia en esta serie?
Es apta para toda la familia. Se trata de un producto que pueden ver padres e hijos juntos.

Somos masoquistas, ¿nos gusta pasar miedo?
Es evidente que sí. A mí me asustan las tormentas, pero me encanta verlas.

¿Hay algo que no le gusta?
Los madrugones. Eso de levantarte a las seis de la mañana... Pero luego, en cuanto nos ponemos trabajar, se me olvida.

¿Qué le gusta de la televisión?
Soy adicta a las series como CSI, 24, Perdidos y Nip/Tuck. Es mi mejor manera para desconectar.

3.  Lies, deceits and cover-ups.  Harper changed the dynamics of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.  Your health and mine are at an increased risk as a result.  On April 1, 2008 the CFIA changed how contaminated foods were to be reported to the public. Barry said the group did not receive a response from ABC. The "Repower America" ad ran on CBS, CNN, CNN Headline News, Fox News, and MSNBC. ABC was the only one to reject the ad, according to the Alliance. The time spot purchased on ABC cost the group nearly $100,000, according to the Alliance. Instead of airing "Repower America," ABC ran the group's "Free Us" ad, which was already running on the network.

Today if you ask a 100 Indians in a survey, "WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WHICH IS SPREAD IN THE WHOLE COUNTRY LIKE A WILDFIRE?" I am sure ALL 100 of them would say "CORRUPTION"

It is a problem which is eating the country from inside.If not all then, most of the departments, from grass root level to the top level are corrupt, every sector is touched by it, be it banking,medicine, anything.Its the axe which is trying to cut our tree from the roots.

I feel sorry for the people who have to give unnecessary  bribes and the ones who's lives are ruined because of it. Imagine a small shopkeeper, paying bribe to save his shop from getting into trouble or a man trying to build his house on a piece of land.Even admission of patients in hospitals requires a heavy pay up sometimes.From the biggest to the smallest problem, there seems only one soulution for everything - Bribes. 

You must think to yourselves sometime or the other - "Dont the people asking for money have a concience?"... Well that is a stupid question to ask since a person with concience never enjoys himself while the other one suffers. No man in his right mind would enjoy other man's misery.

Imagine a person ABC (who is a small shopkeeper) who wants to save his shop from getting demolished which was orginally set by his father on piece of land owned by him.He goes to see XYZ who is a lower level employee at the office concerning such problems.ABC asks for help and guidance and XYZ tells him "EK HAATH LE, EK HAATH DE (You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours)" ABC with heavy heart arranges for the amount demanded and gives it instantly with a hope that tomorrow will be a better day and that XYZ will solve his problem. He goes home and his kids rush to him asking him to take them to dinner at a small local restaurant since their is nothing to eat at home besides dal because they ran out of ration today.The father convinces them to have dal and chapattis today and promises to take them out some other time since he is tired.

Yes tired...tired of life...tired of circumstances!

Meanwhile XYZ, takes his family out for dinner that night, not feeling disgusted for one moment, that while his kids are sitting in an air-conditioned restaurant eating their kababs, the kids of the person who is actually paying for the dinner, might be having plain dal and a chapattis? 

A few sould stirring questions  - When these "bribe takers" (who generally have small pay packages) go home after making someone's day miserable,taking their wives and kids out to enjoy, with the other person's hard earned money, don't they feel sorry, or when they buy their wives new clothes or jewellery, don't their wives ask them, where do they get the money from? The kids, of such lowly people, who enjoy the latest fashions and have the latest gadgets, don't they ever wonder, that, how our father who doesn't earn much can afford to give us such pleasures?If they are unaware of their father's actions then its understandable that they are not at fault, but having full knowledge of the fact that their father takes bribes and then they endorse it, is simply pathetic.

Enjoying life to fullest and endorsing the latest trends is not a bad thing but to enjoy at the cost of another person's happiness is SICK.

There is an increasing need for media to show its power and shift gears of power, its the people's land and people's money and the power should lie with the people for the future generations, saving whatever is left because when the roots for this country are not safe, can we really expect this tree to grow more greener bearing fruits of a brighter future?

An ad produced by Al Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection has been ruled "too controversial" to air by the ABC network.
 
The TV ad, part of the WE campaign run by the alliance, was submitted for airing after this week's presidential debate between John McCain and Barack Obama.  But heads at ABC considered it violated its internal policy against "controversial" content during network-sponsored programs.
 
ABC spokesperson Julie Hoover said: "All of our advertising is reviewed on a case-by-case basis and the context of this particular ad was determined not to be acceptable per our policy on controversial issue advertising."
 
In the WE ad, an unseen narrator states that climate change can be combated through wind and solar power as well as "end our dependence on foreign oil."
 
The ad shows a child playing with blocks and the narrator goes on: "So why are we still stuck with dirty and expensive energy?  Because big oil spends hundreds of millions of dollars to block clean energy.  Lobbyists, ads, even scandals, all to increase their profits while America suffers."
 
Cathy Zoi, chief executive of the WE campaign called ABC's decision "outrageous" in light of the network's frequent airing of adverts from Chevron, Exxon Mobil and the other oil companies.

Oil companies, coal companies and industry groups have been advertising heavily during the presidential campaign events, telling what marvelous jobs they all do and how they are investing in renewable energy.

Barack Obama's campaign has purchased air time on both CBS and NBC in late October to air a special, and is in talks with ABC and Fox to do the same, Variety reports.

The Democratic nominee for president's special program will air for 30 minutes at 8 p.m. on October 29 on the networks. Nothing has been finalized with ABC, and Fox may not be able to air it due to possible World Series conflicts.

According to U.S. campaign rules, the networks would have to offer equal air time to Republican presidential nominee John McCain for the same price, the trade notes. CBS told Variety, "We will, of course, make an equivalent opportunity available to Senator McCain and other legally qualified candidates upon request."

WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED FROM THIS FINANCIAL DEBACLE CALLED THE BAILOUT?

If the $800 Billion + Bailout was not enough, now we learn about the outrageous behavior of the just bailed out AIG executives. Let us all hope that the rest of the bailout money (our money) is not spent so extragavantly or so obviously "in your face". The "Bailout Bush and Buddies Bill" of 2008 is in future years going to be seen as a total sham. The structural problems in the economy are all too real. But if the "bailout" money is going to secure multi-million dollar executive salaries rather than pension funds, unemployment funds, or re-training funds -- then lots of questions need to be asked and they need to be asked now. While the current Congress is in action, we all need to continue to assert our rights as citizens and taxpayers for demanding the truth (truth in lending). We need to show the leaders that the outpouring of anger, angst and the almost meltdown of congressional phone and email servers was not a one time flash, but rather a hot fire on their collective behinds. These people just voted on all this money to "stabilize the financial system" but how many Members of Congress, Republican or Democrat can tell any of us what a derivative swap is, or a fractional loan value, or for that matter the difference between a mortgage backed security and a partially mortgage backed financial instrument? Do they know what they voted on besides fear? How many of them can actually tell us what would have happened if this bailout was not rushed but rather put through the Committee System, be subject to debate and critique from the media, from academia and from other Government agencies?

You2Gov designed tools to make all of us more informed, more powerful. If we have learned anything from these times filled with fear, both literal and imagined - it is that the only thing that matters now is oversight. Not the kind you hear bandied about by this and that Congress person or Senator. No, I mean the kind of oversight a manager effects on his staff, or the kind of oversight that a principal has with the teachers, or even better the kind of oversight the military practises on itself through the chain of command. In this case the chain of command ends with you and me. We are the owners of the United States, the people. There are little read documents, some people don't even know what they are. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights, If you have not read them lately or never have, now is a good time to catch up. One of the important things you will come away with is how seriously the Founding Fathers took the concept of "Power from the People, to the People."

We all need to be that serious about this serious situation.

Ann Curry talked Chuck Todd about how the economy is effect the presidential race and Congressional races.

Todd said, “If the election were held today, the likelihood the Democrats would get their 60-seat filibuster about 50%, unbelievable. They could pick up more Senate seats than they did in 2006. More house seats than they did in 2006, which, even three weeks ago folks thought was just impossible to think about. That’s how bad things are right now for Republicans. Every day that the Dow has one of these bad days, Republicans see their tracking polls plummet, literally is almost a percentage point for percentage point in this drop in the Dow is, also, the percentage drop for Republicans.”

Now, we have a a habit of making fun of "low-information" voters all the time, but I'll be damned if I ever suggest that people shouldn't vote. The problem is that too few peopel vote in this country, and too few people vote with a complete grasp of the issues -- but there's no fucking way you solve that by telling people who can't grasp every single nuance or some civics basics to stay home on Election Day. That's advocating personal disenfranchisement in civic matters.

(If you have a well-thought out reason to not vote on principle, that's different.)

Even better, there are claims by the organization HeadCount that Stossel misrepresented it and the rock fans he interviewed on some basic civics questions at the concert he went to -- of course, Stossel went to a rock show, full of young people eligible to vote.

Next, we suggest Stossel go to retirement homes or run through the AARP rolls to suggest people are too old and senile to vote properly, if he's going to stay on this line of thought.  I would appeal by saying that maybe schools ought to get some funding for the basic civics classes we used to have (or at least I did, anyway), but Stossel isn't a big fan of government intervention.*  Or, rather than put out reports like this on a Friday newsmagazine, how about the media educate the public for once on some of the basics again?  Just a refresher course, some basic breakdowns of the big issues?

Wait. This would require actual work, someone who knew economics, had a bit of insight on foreign policy, and wasn't just taking interviews from people who have a dog in the fight as gospel. That isn't a slam at Stossel so much as the media as a whole: political journalism right now resembles a series of press release journalism, with both sides getting their say in and the media not really caring to divine which one is the truth (or closer to it) in the interest of fairness.

Also, John, that sweater is horrific. I hope you plan to burn it or have already done so.

(*It seems like the people least likely to have unforeseen economic or natural disaster-type events affect their daily lives are always the ones saying that government isn't necessary.)

Now two intercept operators who worked for the National Security Agency at Fort Gordon in Georgia have come forward to tell ABC News that isn't true.  >>>>>

McCain says not so much and gets a little red in the face and than he starts in with this weird Dr. Jekyll laugh and than makes one of those faces only a mother could love as show in the picture to the right. The point is not that he is trying to insinuate that Barack Obama kicks it or associates it with terrorists. The point is that I really don't care about Bill Ayers right now. Everybody has a past, and everybody has six degrees of separation from some, excuse my language, jerk off that they've briefly met or wish they'd never met in passing. I have a hand full of associations that don't really speak to my character, but I know people who know people as we all do. It's that type of dumb logic that the GOP is hoping and banking on to win this election. You know, rile the crowd up into a fever pitch and call the man everything but a n@gger. See examples of calling him "terrorist" (look @ McCain's face when he hears it - no, really look @ his face because even he was like, really?) and that to "kill him." In other words, get a rope, and we've all seen how that story plays out. See America's history from 1776 to 1964 for more examples of that.

At the end of the day, you and I know what kind of game McCain is trying to subtlety play, but at some point in time, it will end good or bad...

With news that Rebecca Romijn would be leaving the show early on this season circulating the web for some time, this episode was bound to happen. It has that feel that most shows do when real life drama seeps into the fictional world, seeming just a little forced and raising all sorts of "what ifs" as to where the characters would have gone had the writer's pen not been guided by outside influences. Tonight's story certainly felt propelled along by the need to find Alexis an exit door, but that said it was still enjoyable even if the weakest episode in the still fledgling season.

"Crimes of Fashion" is all about the aftermath of Christina's classic soap opera moment last week--pushed down the stairs by an unseen hand. Betty gets wrapped up in the middle of it all, trying to prove Daniel's innocence after she unintentionally lets the police know that Daniel had asked her to lie about his whereabouts on the night of the incident. It's of course very clear by this early revelation that Daniel is not guilty, but it's all about finding the evidence to prove this. The episode flashes back and forth between the present and the slowly connecting pieces of the puzzle from the night of the MODE party, presented in drunken sepia tone.

What was a nice touch in Betty's sleuthing was the humanizing of almost all of our characters. Usually, one or maybe two might have a tender moment in an episode, but tonight they all let their guard down for Betty, albeit only briefly. Amanda shares her financial woes and we learn just how she affords (or doesn't afford) her fancy lifestyle, Marc reveals he likes to slap around Wilhelmina's Mannequin, which looks a lot like one of those Real Dolls, and Claire admits she can't drink one cocktail without drinking fifty. These little moments of insight into the real thoughts of the characters versus the personas they're always putting on are always enjoyable, and these were no exception.

Marc and Amanda are stealing not only the show these days, but putting it to shame with their webisodes. Even though they were funnier in this week's installment, which you can find on ABC.com, their team up with Betty to discover the truth behind Christina's attack was still very fun. Not so much fun for Betty, though, who keeps stumbling upon more and more evidence seemingly pointing back to Daniel.

While Christina herself didn't have much to do, laid out after the attack and all, Wilhelmina's publicity stunt in the hospital was one of the night's highlights. It's not the first time she's shamelessly visited an injured person (Betty White, anyone?), but it comes as no surprise from a person who always, and I repeat always, puts herself first. When she starts screaming and nearly crying for someone to get Christina a glass of water, only to slip right back into her collected, devilish self, it's obvious just how wonderfully evil she is. It has been awhile since she had one of those Ugly Betty humanizing moments, and she gets a brief one later when Christina reveals she's just found out Stuart is dying after the experimental surgery she paid for has failed. Wiilly being the one that started the whole mess by essentially blackmailing Christina into having her child can't help but feel just the tiniest ping of remorse over how it all turned out. You can bet that sympathy won't linger long, though, and she'll be back to plotting by next week, which is for the best. What fun would a Wilhelmina with a beating, human heart be?

The last story is Hilda's, which doesn't much fit in with the rest of the MODE happenings. She's still seeing Coach "I'm married" Diaz, but trying to work it out by borrowing her sister's place for the day to talk (and yes she means talk, though the coach may have other definitions in mind). Word gets around to her father of the affair, or more like slaps him in the face when he finds the Coach very naked in Betty's apartment, expecting Hilda to walk through the door and not daddy dearest. This tiny misunderstanding leads to an all out family feud, until Betty injects some reason into the situation near the end, as she's so very good at doing. Let's face it, this family is so tight that no amount of soap drama can tear them apart, which is a very good thing in my opinion. They can mess with a lot of relationships on TV, but the Suarez family is one they'd better not tear apart.

With everything that was going on and the rushed nature of the arc, most characters felt sacrificed this hour to the story. As everything developed at a quick pace, there weren't as many funny gags or jokes and Betty especially felt used more as a device to move the plot from point to point than her usual self. Some characters like Daniel and even Alexis, whose face we've seen the last of for at least some time if not forever, were pushed aside for the majority, only popping in when the story absolutely required it. Daniel Jr was also barely seen, even though his name did pop up in the end as part of the big, last second reveal. He's not Daniel's son, but Alexis' from when she was still a he, and with her being carted off to the slammer, I guess this is a way to get rid of the dad and son dynamic. As I said in the beginning, this episode reeks of a rushed change in direction, guided by Rebecca's departure, but all in all it was still a fairly solid effort.

I did enjoy Rebecca's stint on the show, and was pretty upset when I heard the news she was leaving. However, thinking about it I realize she was steadily becoming obsolete in many of the episodes and serving more as a pretty decoration. Whether this was because of the writers not having stories for her or another early side effect of her pending departure. Either way, it makes saying goodbye a little easier. Add to that news of her replacement being cast and there may be some exciting developments in Betty's near future.

Maybe It's Your Civic Duty Not to Vote

Should Uninformed Voters Be Casting Their Vote on Nov. 4?

We keep hearing how important it is for everyone to vote and that voting is our civic duty. Legions of uninformed voters could hit the polls next month.

Celebrities like Christina Aguilera, Leonardo DiCaprio, Diddy and Dave Matthews urge everyone to get out and vote. And to help people vote, voter registration groups such as HeadCount deploy volunteers to sign people up.

Watch the story Friday on "20/20" at 10 p.m. ET and watch John Stossel's "Politically Incorrect Guide to Politics" at 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17.

HeadCount focuses on registering young people at rock concerts and music festivals around the country. During the concerts, famous musicians such as Eddie Vedder and Jack Johnson implore their fans to sign up to vote. Marc Brownstein, the bassist for the band The Disco Biscuits and a co-founder of HeadCount, tells fans to "please participate this year by casting your vote!"

Brownstein and a friend, Andy Bernstein, co-founded HeadCount in 2004.

"We do this because we want the kids to be a part of the political process," Brownstein said.

Bernstein added, "We registered over 100,000 people. ... It is so imperative that this generation's voice is heard. And they are being heard."

But are these get-out-the-vote drives entirely a good thing? "20/20" asked some of HeadCount's newly registered young people some basic questions about our government.

Some people were knowledgeable. "There are two senators from each state, making a total of 100," one young voter said. Another knew that "the Bill of Rights is the first 10 amendments to the Constitution."

But many of the young voters didn't seem very informed. Some didn't know how many states are in the U.S. or how many senators there are. Few could explain Roe vs. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court ruling upholding abortion rights.

"Roe vs. Wade is segregation maybe?" one new voter guessed.

Another asked: "Was Roe vs. Wade where we declared bankruptcy?" And still another wondered, "That was about a black person and a white person?"

Brownstein said, "There's a lot of uninformed voters out there."

So should those uninformed voters just stay home?

After speaking with friends it was determined that multiple other shows also followed this pattern - why are the writers suddenly trying to shock us, and then laugh and say 'Gotcha!'? This is not a trend I'm enjoying. Disappointing that writers think they need to grab viewer's attentions with false hopes, generally viewership remains steady when writer's develop intriguing story lines, not one episode stunts. But worse, it seems that producers may not know when to end shows. Go out with style and class and go out on top, don't drag it on with the hopes of trying to pull success out of nothing.

A great example of a show that dragged itself on is Nip/Tuck, part of FX. What an amazing show. Centered in Miami, you had drama, sex, plastic surgery, and at times action all at once. It was a great show. Near the end of it's run the story line was very drawn out and it seemed like the characters were nearly too entangled in each other to go anywhere further. The show left you with a five - year look into the future which to me pretty much sealed the deal and let me know that the show had run its course, and I was left satisfied. As a follower of the show I was content that the show had ended and felt that all the strings were tied, which left everything nice and clean for those following the storyline. I almost fell off my chair when later that year I heard that the show was going to be re-starting in the next season, but how?! I saw the 5 -year future look, it was all OK, everything was on track, this must be a mistake. Nope, much to my dismay the show was back on, but they had left Miami and moved to LA, because we all know that LA needs more plastic surgery... Regardless I watched the premier and a few episodes that followed to see what it was about; I lost much respect for that show from that season alone. The show re-routed in a different direction, the characters were not the same, the focus was changed and it just didn't matter anymore. The show was over, it ended the season before, and in my mind they never left Miami. I personally felt it was a bad move to restart the show in a new city wit the same cast, it was over, move on! Many of my friends felt the same way and none of us watch the show at this point, is it even still on? I really think Desperate housewives is out of a story-line and may be getting dangerously close to the fine line of something worth watching vs. something that is ready to be retired.

Now onto the ways that shows are moving away from reality. Sitcoms and TV drama's are scripted. Many are scripted in a way that is supposed to reflect what reality in those situations would be like. Now of course we know that every character in TV shows has a better grip on irony and a better vocabulary than everyone we know combined, but it is OK, in fact we like it that way. We recite their quirky sayings and live for Meredith's indecision and realizations that occur every episode. What I am not okay with is the sudden way that most TV shows are gripping for anything to create drama and have since moved away from reality. What chief in a real operating hospital would allow water from a leaky pipe to continue to happen in his hospital that could at any moment infect a sterile environment?! None! This puts the patients, the employees and the hospital in danger and no person in their right mind would do this. I enjoyed the drama of the episode but was a little disappointed that the writers are moving the storyline into too overly dramatic and seemingly unrealistic plots. Grey's is a hit show and very popular, it doesn't need all of this distraction to make it great, and I truly hope they move back into the realm of unusual diseases and strange cases, or crazy accidents to draw attention and drama, but I don't think it serves the show well to have plots that are just simply unrealistic. Focus on the drama in the personal lives and let the cases speak for themselves. Seattle Grace gets a fair share of unusual cases to begin with, we don't need risky decisions that would NEVER happen in real life to taint the show. I don't believe the Chief would truly make such a risky decision, even if he is fighting to regain his above average reputation as a teaching hospital.

Regardless, it is still a great show. I just want to put a plea out to writers to keep the material original and eye-catching but spare us some of the exaggerations. Research fantastically abnormal medical cases and let our favorite interns and residents solve them, but don't put the hospital staff into a situation where they make abnormal and obscure choices that no one in their right minds would ever make. And for the sake of Christina - please let the military man work out , I really think she needs that!

Don't let the big spending oil and coal lobbys dictate our future.  There are a lot of misleading ads out there aobut the climate crisis and the roles that oil and coal play. Educate yourself and others about the issues. Demand that the argument for clean, renewable energy is heard.

We Can Solve It has sent a letter to ABC asking that they reconsider the ad and air it tonight (Friday) on 20/20. So far no response has been given.  In the past 24 hours over 100,000 Americans concerned about the climate crisis have sent emails to ABC to let them know that they want the ad to be aired.  Thank you to  everyone who expressed their concerns to ABC, and for those of you who have not done so yet, its not too late!
